Omakase by Gino

An intimate dining experience for you and nine of your friends. The flavors and textures was great combination of salty and sea sweet fish, A5 wagyu, a fun amuse bouche to start, and expert cookery and knife skills. Very attentive wait staff and Chef Gino is very personable himself.

Everything was amazing from the appetizers, to the sushi, sashimi, and last but not least the deserts!

OMFG. This experience will ruin every sushi place you have ever been to. Reservations are now done through Yelp only. Easily $300 for two people if it’s a special menu or if you’re adding to the regular omakase serving. 16+ courses. 10 seatings per day but the chef will sometimes expand that to two seatings at 5:30 and 8:00 pm. Bring as many friends as you can so you don’t end up with randoms who could be cool or absolutely annoying.

The chef doesn't talk too much but focus on creative dishes and offering high quality food. Menu may change by "mood" and it's quiet a wonderful experience.

Second time here and just as impressed as the first. Not only does Gino make the most delicious items, he's got a few stories to tell as well.

Gino is always great. His sushi is top tier, one of the best! A must try if you love omakase.

One of the best omakases I’ve ever had. Although it was on the pricier side, it was pretty worth every penny. The chef was very welcoming and friendly as well as the servers. Really enjoyable and unique experience with fish I have never heard of, including the white salmon.

Had an incredible dinner at Omakase (a Japanese meal consisting of dishes selected by the chef) by Gino. Reservations are a must because they’re usually booked up at least 2 months in advance. Everything was amazing from the appetizers, to the sushi, sashimi, and last but not least the deserts. My pics are out of order and didn’t take a photo of all the dishes but can’t wait to come back for more.

WOW! Best omakase sushi I have ever had! This place did not disappoint! Gino is welcoming and very efficient. He makes his own soy sauce from 6 month aged Spanish mackerel! What?!?! I left full and happy! If you love sushi and are a foodie I would highly recommend this place! Very worth the hype!

Mark your calendars for the second Sunday of every month at 10am. This is when reservations open up for Omakase by Gino and I highly recommend you try and get in. Every course was beautifully and creatively crafted with the freshest fish and finest ingredients. Everytime I thought I had a favorite, a new dish would come out. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just want to treat yourself, this is the spot.

What a lovely chef, and an unbelievable meal. This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in my entire life. The service was attentive, the food thoughtful and inspired, the atmosphere comfortable and clean. On its own, the menu was incredible. Every single plate was well-described and beautifully prepared. I may never recover. And Gino… was LOVELY. I have met many chefs, and dined in fine-dining/Michelin-quality restaurants around the world. This was a superior experience. Gino was knowledgeable, kind, and friendly in a way that is truly rare. We would have come back for the food alone, but Gino made it a memory and an experience. He also personally (and kindly) chased us down to return my purse — the food was so good that I completely forgot it. Thank you — from a couple of new Canadian transplants who felt infinitely welcomed and well-fed.

Omakase by Gino is a 10 seat restaurant where Gino prepares all the dishes. All the dishes were great and the flavors of the fish used in the nigiri were fantastic. My favorite dishes before the nigiri were the chawanmushi and uni pasta. The chawanmushi had great crab flavor and the texture of the noodles and uni worked really well together.

The dishes were superb honestly a little better than Hana Re and we enjoyed more than ten plates of beautifully prepared food. The reason I can’t give five stars is because as we were leaving, the chef flagged us down to ask if the service had been bad because he felt our tip was too low. I found this extremely rude and ungrateful, especially after spending $250 per person and leaving what we thought was a fair tip. It was embarrassing and uncalled for, and unfortunately it left a negative impression that outweighed an otherwise great dining experience. We will not be returning.
