My favorite local diner with lots of the usual diner options but also some unique dishes such as the Eggs Benedict on mashed potatoes with side salad (in photo). Very friendly and efficient staff, never waiting for a refill on iced tea or coffee.

We arranged a surprise birthday lunch for a girlfriend here. She loves to walk Shoreline and Cliff Drives every Monday. The food is always great, and the service quick, accurate, and friendly. I've been trying Tuna Melts all over town. Mesa Cafe wins. The Tuna Salad is not drowning in Mayonnaise, the Rye Bread is delicious, it was heated throughout, and mostly cheese on both sides. Yummmmmy !

By far my favorite breakfast, brunch, and lunch place in Santa Barbara. Great staff, great reasonably-priced food, just a great time every time. I make the great pilgrimage every Saturday for brunch with the boys, I wish I could have every meal here. Genuine 10/10

A great California fare restaurant. They have breakfast all day. There are burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and even pot roast. Right now they have a decent amount of outdoor seating. But be prepared to wait at busy times, which you had to do pre-covid as well.

You can order anything on the menu and it's great. I get the classic eggs benedict with hash brown crispy. Lunch available anytime. Always constantly good. Staff is happy to wait on you, cheerful friendly prompt. Nothing bad to say about Mesa Cafe after 20+ visits.

This is simply my favorite place to eat in Santa Barbara. The staff is amazing and they always have great pricing for what you get. They are known for breakfast but don’t skip out on their dinner as well. For sure get a Jake’s Bloody Mary to start off you great day. Highly recommended.

The food was really good here, but the service, although friendly, was extremely slow. 🐢 We were there 1 hour and 45 minutes, after we were seated. And we didn't receive our sides or request for additional water until after we had finished eating.
