This is a fun place for lunch on a sunny day - sitting on the patio enjoying the world go by 😁 We split the burger and a salad. Despite it being very messy, it is a super flavorful burger! All you burger lovers RUN!! Also, highly recommend evening cocktails here.
Honor Bar never disappoints. The vibe is warm, inviting, and effortlessly polished. The food is consistently excellent, the service is top-tier, and honestly, everything on the menu is delicious. There’s usually a wait to sit down, but it’s always worth it. Honor Bar is best enjoyed solo or with one other person. If you’re with a larger group, it’s much easier to head next door to South Beverly Grill, which can better accommodate bigger parties. I love every restaurant in the Hillstone Restaurant Group family, and I’ve truly never had a bad experience here. Shout-out to Zachary, who took exceptional care of us. So kind, professional, attentive, and exactly what great service should be.
We can't say enough good things about The Honor Bar in Montecito. Absolutely our highest recommendation. Amazing meatballs, salads, deviled eggs, sandwiches, and an omelette described by one particularly fussy eater as "the best I've ever had." But the best part of The Honor Bar is the outstanding staff and service, which is prompt and professional, and always with big smiles that go a long way. Thank you, we'll be back. Special commendations to manager Kevin and wait-staff Emilee for extraordinary attention.
Really enjoyed it! Waited a bit for a table, but 100% worth the wait. Had chicken meatballs and 2 dips for apps. Both great and did not overwhelm main course. Had the French dip. Will order it again, every time I come back. Horseradish was well balanced, meat was high quality and bread might have been imported from France it was that good. Server was charming and knowledgeable. Rye old fashioned was a great start. Dining room is small, so if you want to eat inside be ready to wait (but worth it). Parking is reasonable. Will be back.
Our favorite easy spot for lunch in Montecito, amazing burgers, chicken sandwich, salads and the prime rib French dip is to die for. Cocktails, service and ambiance are great too! Will be coming back.
The service was really good and they took care of my dog.. We ate out on their patio, and the atmosphere was very nice. The food and the drinks were so good. Everybody was so nice and we would definitely eat here multiple times.
We didn't have any food but we happened to stop by because it was right on the corner of the strip and it was starting to get cold and we saw a fireplace. So we decided to sit next to the fireplace and get warmed up and drink some cocktails. The waitresses were super sweet & pretty to speak to. It's a very cool place! You can't miss it. It's right on the corner where all the people walk by & it's a cool joint,.... you gotta check it!
Long life to this place ! What a discovery! 🤩 I had already been to Gulfstream and loved it, and this place is just as amazing. Food, quality, and service are a solid 10/10. Everything was served in just 5 minutes, and although the salad came out at the same time as the main dishes, when we asked for the check they told us they wouldn’t charge us for it because it had been “late.” Honestly, we hadn’t even noticed! Such a thoughtful gesture we even asked them to please include it because we enjoyed it. It’s the little details like this that make a restaurant stand out from the rest. Definitely coming back!
Honor Bar's patio is a great place for people watching and the food is really good too. As we sat eating our lunch, a delivery truck drive away and revealed a large mirrored dog statue being driven around in a trailer. When I say large, I mean, like, really large. I'm guessing it was 7 foot tall. But the food was really good. I had a Cubano and my wife had the burger. Fries were delicious and crispy. Eat here.
The food was outstanding. We began with a smoked salmon appetizer and french fries, both of which were delicious. For our main course, we ordered burgers, a chicken sandwich, chicken ball pasta with tomato sauce and a salad with goat cheese and dates. Everything was incredibly tasty 😋 The service was very friendly, and we didn't feel rushed, even though the place was packed and busy.
The best French dip sandwich I’ve had in years! The meat was sliced paper thin, and bread was a perfect texture to still hold the sandwich together while dripping in the comforting au jus. I would probably add some cheese to it next time I order, and I easily went through the creamy horseradish sauce before getting to the end of the sandwich (I asked for extra but don’t think I got it?). We ate at the bar top, which was fun to watch the hustle and bustle, but it was the start of Mother’s Day weekend, so it was a bit busier than expected. The bar chairs aren’t my favorite. Definitely looking forward to revisiting.
Nestled in the heart of Montecito, The Honor Bar exudes timeless elegance and charm. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting atmosphere that seamlessly blends sophistication with warmth. The ambiance is refined yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions. Whether you're meeting friends for drinks or enjoying a romantic dinner, The Honor Bar sets the stage for a memorable experience. The menu boasts a selection of delectable dishes crafted with the finest ingredients. From their signature burgers to fresh salads and decadent desserts, each bite is a culinary delight. The cocktail menu is equally impressive, featuring expertly crafted drinks that perfectly complement the flavors of the cuisine.
One of my favorite restaurants ever. Get a table outside and enjoy unlimited people watching. If you're looking for food, you've gotta try the fried chicken sandwich. Best fried chicken sando I've ever had. Crispy chicken, tangy, zestt slaw, and the bun it's served on hits different. Honorable mention goes to the French dip as well. It's massive and the au jus I could drink by itself. I could not recommend Honor Bar enough.
Beautiful surroundings, people, and all that Montecito thing, with great tasting food. The fried chicken sandwich has just the right about of fried chicken (i e., it's not too greasy), with a nice soft bun to keep it company. The spicy coleslaw (not that spicy really) was the perfect accomplice. All the other food I saw looked great too. Friendly, if somewhat less than genuine service, but maybe that's how people like it. The chef seemed genuinely nice and concerned about the dining experience.
This place is great! Tasty food, and a hip, but classy atmosphere. Not only that, but Mr. Kim, the manager of Honor Bar, is an impeccable host. As a local concierge in the area for over a decade, I search the area to find the very best places to send my guests, many of which are traveling from other countries. The Honor Bar never disappoints! The many times I have gone myself, I always get the same dish: the prime rib French dip, which is usually cooked to perfection! Of the many times I have gone, only once was it not cooked to my liking, but Mr. Kim kindly took the time to explain to me when they cook the prime rib throughout the day and the best time to order it if I want it cooked a certain way. I even brought my family in and all were impressed! I hope to keep coming back!
Stopped in on a Wednesday night a little after 6pm. They only take walk-ins so we put our name on a list and were told it’d be around 45 minutes. There are a few chairs you can wait for your table in out front- you are also able to order drinks and a few different apps here. The wait time ended up only being around 15 or so minutes. We were escorted inside to a small booth meant for two people and immediately asked if we wanted to order drinks. Two other servers checked in shortly thereafter to make sure we’d been helped. We ended up ordering drinks and a few appetizers as well as an entree to share- the deviled eggs, the chicken meatballs and the Pine Room Salad as well as the fries with dipping sauce. For our entree we ordered the omelette. The appetizers left a bit to be desired in terms of taste and portion sizing. Both the deviled eggs and meatballs came as a serving of 3 which felt like an odd choice since all of the booths inside seat two people and the vast majority of people there were a party of two. The drinks were fairly good and arrived quickly. The best thing that we ordered was the omelette with goat cheese in it. Overall- the service is excellent and friendly but the food left a bit to be desired. Fairly reasonably priced given its location in Montecito.
The five star goes to the host which I don’t know her name and to Angelica at the bar. She is sweet and professional. We requested a booth after we had seating at the bar to have opportunity to speak to one a other and Angelica was the only one professional enough to make this a smoother experience. The lady manager could have been more understanding and kind to move us since the restaurant is almost empty on a Sunday night. Except she approved the request with a bit of an attitude. Food was outstanding.
