I’m a creature of habit and have ordered the same 1/2 size chicken Caesar salad here at Rosti on Montana Ave for over 30 years. I literally come here 2 to 3 times a month for this salad. No joke. And their spinach ravioli with Pomodoro sauce is also delicious.
Their seasonal handmade butternut squash ravioli in butter sage sauce was amazingly delicious. It had a rich, nutty sweetness and aromatic butter sauce topped with crunchy toasted nuts. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared
Let’s start with the most important thing. The food at Rosti in Santa Monica is Amazing! It is flavorful and honestly one of the best I’ve tasted in LA. The chef definitely knows how to use their seasoning. I had the Chicken Pasta, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Italian Pizza, Steak Salad and not a single one missed the mark. Even the potatoes were nicely flavored. For the tid bits, there is both outdoor seating and indoor. The place is well lit and the ambiance nice and cheerful. There is ample parking in the back. Just turn onto 10th street. Check my pictures if you need help. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lisa and German were excellent. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality. I highly recommend Rosti Tuscan Kitchen. Don’t forget to take some to go as well. Trust me you will crave it later.
Great service, food, and location. Lots of Italian options on the menu. Overall recommended.
We got here at almost closing and we're served anyway as if we got there early. We sat outside and it was very relaxing. Food was amazing!! Will definitely visit again when I'm in town.
My friend and I came here for dinner. There is seating outdoors with heaters but we chose to sit inside. We shared the Warm Spinach Salad with jumbo shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly!! This salad was delicious! We also shared the Mushroom Ravioli in the mushroom sauce. This too, was out of this world tasty! For dessert, we shared the Apple Tart with a dollup of whip cream. This was a slice of heaven Service was good. I will definitely return to Rosti Tuscan Kitchen again. Join the Rosti rewards program to get a discount after acheiving certain points. Parking lot in the back, but when we arrived it was full, so we parked on the side street.
Honestly was skeptical of this place since there are a few locations in the area, but I was pleasantly surprised and dare I say blown away by the food. I’ve actually gone 3 times in the past 2 weeks haha can’t go wrong with the pasta or pizza, but one of my fav dishes in the branzino! Bring your own wine for a $10 corkage fee is great too. Love the ambiance of sitting outside and enjoying a meal with friends
It was our first night in LA they recommended us Fathers Office for a great burger but unfortunately it was packed, we saw this quiet place down the street and happy to say it did not disappoint, the food was packed with flavor and great all around. Will be coming back if im again in the LA area.
Rosti Santa Monica is one of the few affordable, family-friendly options on Montana Avenue. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, so it's perfect for small groups and families. I’ve been here 20+ times and it’s a favorite of our family! Love their pizza and salads and happy hour. I’ve also ordered a bowl of the butternut squash, which was the daily soup special. Rich. Creamy. Hearty. Only $6.50. Everything you want in a fall soup on a chilly California night. Complimentary bread with tasty EVOO. I was very full from all my bread and soup indeed. Dinner was less than $10, so basically that's a minor league miracle. Pro Tips: - Grab a seat outside, they have space heaters! - Ask for salt and pepper for your EVOO because they didn't have it out on the table
Went here for the first time. Very delicious! The environment is nice! They have outdoor sitting or inside. There is easy parking in the back of building. Jordana was our waiter and she made the experience fun! She was polite, professional and very attentive! The food was delicious. Very fresh! Will definitely come here again

Everything was great: food, service and atmosphere. Starting from the cleaned restroom plenty of Italian bread, spinach & pine salad and ending with sea food risotto. August 2024 in SM was perfect.
Great place to have breakfast or lunch. Beautiful outdoor and great service. Sandwiches are great and really big:)) two people can share it. Best coffee. Special thanks to Rachael ♥️
It has been a minute since i moved away but now im back and checking out my old favs. I came to order take out. Service was amazing from Riley. You get the 5 rockstars!! Also served me free lemonade while i waited ty! Ordered the pastrami sandwich, italian cold sandwich on ciabatta bread, minestrone soup, mashed potatos, cobb salad, ha ha c-chip cookies...plus a few gluten free c-chip cookies. Everything we had was good. We liked your bread very much!! Looking forward to trying the gluten free pizza.
The linguini with spicy vodka and blackened chicken will be in my dreams tonight omg it was so good. I didn’t catch out servers name but she was wonderful and the busser who sat us was so so kind (didn’t catch his name either) but he offered my dog water and got us a heater right away. Truly a great dining experience! The only think missed was silverware so we ate our appetizer with the spoon it came with and traded off but not a big deal the meatballs still tasted great and we forgot to ask for forks the first two times they stopped by.
I dont see people commenting enough about the branzino!!!! Seriously its excellent!!! The fish is truly cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The sauce was delightful and the way the tomatoes and asparagus were cooked were a first for me. I also had the spinach and brussel sprouts. I truly enjoyed everything and this is coming from someone that is typically unimpressed by the veggie options on menus.
Really enjoyed my spaghetti with pink sauce. Delicious flavor and texture. Will definitely come back to try their pizzas.
Wonderful place to eat at if you happen to find yourself strolling down Montana Ave in Santa Monica. Between the wonderful weather and delicious food it makes for a great time. Amazing and quick service. As for the food i was greatly pleased! The only bad critique i have is the marinara sauce (not pictured) that comes with the calamari, it was very soup like(low key giving tomato soup vibes), it lacked the thickness of a dipping sauce BUT nonetheless still good. I ordered the blackened chicken Caesar sandwich and chiiiiile the chicken was so juicy and seasoned to perfection. Everything tasted so fresh! My sister ordered the half pound rosti cheeseburger which looked delicious she did state “ for it to be a well done burger it’s still juicy and flavorful, it doesn’t taste dry at all” Of course i had to order me a drink, i kept it classy with Prosecco & i love how it comes in a small individual bottle vs it being poured from a larger bottle. We ordered the pollo al mattone(drumsticks) for my nephew unfortunately he didn’t seem to enjoy the drumsticks as much but he was able to eat the fries. Btw the fries y u m m y you can taste the rosemary sea salt and I’m guessing a drizzle of olive oil. all in all this place is delicious and a heavy recommendation to eat at, the only downside honestly would be finding parking if their parking lot is full, but even then that was not much of an issue
Great place for lunch and reasonably priced. The bread we were served was warm and fresh, delicious! The spaghetti with white wine sauce was good, nothing special. I did quite enjoy the creme brûlée cheesecake however. Fast and friendly service from waiter and nice location makes this a great casual place to eat if you’re in Santa Monica.
Came here for a late lunch on our way back from Malibu. We sat outside which gives you a view of the street while enjoying some fresh air. The bruschetta came with some cheese and arugula which was a nice touch. I ordered the caprese sandwich and unfortunately it was drier and blander than I would have preferred. Next time, I would order something else off the menu.

The food is mid and the service is good and very cool you should buy the truffle fries. They’re really good. The pizza was missing salt but at the end me and my son and daughter was a good atmosphere next to the beach was good don’t miss the sunset
The chicken filet are not fresh their frozen over the grill . I had order a chicken piccata the chicken its to dry . Great service.
I made a reservation for a 5pm dinner on a Thursday which was probably not needed as it was not busy when I visited. I started with the Mozzarella Sticks and had the Chicken Piccata for my main meal. The sticks were good and the sauce was interesting as I’m used to a thicker marinara but tasty nonetheless. The chicken piccata was not my favorite. While the chicken itself was cooked well it didn’t have a lot of flavor on either the chicken or pasta. Service was good and enjoyed the atmosphere. I would come back and try something else as the piccata just didn’t do it for me.
I don't like cheese, so my options were already very limited because most items on the menu had cheese in them. I opted for the penne pasta, which is as basic as it gets. Not bad but not the best. It was just right. The bread was very stale and cold, so that was a bit disappointing. Overall ok place. Service was good, and the set up is pretty neat.
Very okay restaurant. We got the chicken ragu and pasta di mare. Chicken ragu was good but nothing crazy- i would get the beef ragu if I went again. The pasta di Mare with the white wine was also okay but again, nothing crazy. Our server was a bit awkward as well because she thought I was underage and wanted to order wine and she snatched the drinks menu out of my hands along with the desert menu. I am 24 and I was just reading the wine menu with no intent of getting anything. ( I do look pretty young but I am pretty sure I would be allowed to read a drinks menu even if I was 12)

This place has lovely ambience However, I was taken aback by the happy hour signage that was not applicable for today. Apparently they don’t do happy hour on holidays.. I made a point of asking them to take the signs down because it is deceptive marketing. Regardless, the food was OK and the places I beautiful spot.
