Absolutely. One of the best, mexican restaurants in sonoma county. A very unique and authentic food, Incredible flavor profiles that explode in your mouth with every bite, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.I would try their signature dish the molcajetes.
If you’re looking for a meal that hits all the right notes, Los Molcajetes Bar & Grill in Santa Rosa is a must-visit. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with oven-fresh chips—still warm and perfectly crisp. Paired with their house-made sauces, which pack just the right amount of spice and flavor, it was a strong start that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The calamari was a standout—tender, perfectly seasoned, and fried to golden perfection. It’s not something you always expect to be done right at a place known for tacos, but they nailed it. And speaking of tacos: heavenly. Each bite was a burst of flavor, from the savory fillings to the fresh garnishes. Whether you go for carne asada, carnitas, or fish, you can’t go wrong. To top it off, the house margaritas were absolutely delicious—bright, balanced, and not overly sweet. Easily the best I’ve had in a long while. Service was friendly, the vibe was relaxed, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. This is the kind of place you return to—and bring friends.
Great food, and I am very picky with Mexican food
Delicious food, great atmosphere and amazing drinks... I was very impressed with the display and presentation of the food, something you probably wouldn't expect from looking at this location next to the freeway.. definitely a must visit if you're looking for above average Mexican food.
Excellent food drinks and service. The food here is delicious. The cocktails as well. One of our favorite places to eat
My boyfriend and I went here yesterday and really enjoyed the food. The chips came with 3 types of salsa which was pretty awesome. I had a quesadilla and it was delicious. Super cheesy and that made it really good. He had nachos with carnitas and that looked super yummy. Been here a few times before and have always been happy with the food, service, and atmosphere. Would definitely come back.
I enjoyed my first dinner at this location. The food was excellent and the menu catered to a wide range of preferences and dietary restrictions. I was very happy with the generous portions, especially the molcajete.
Great food and beautifully created cocktails. Upscale, authentic Mexican food with friendly service. Large portions.
Great experience from start to finish. I prefer sitting at the bar counter. Service and staff are terrific, drinks are generous, and entrees are portioned rather big which is great. Mole Enchiladas are spicy but still super tasty so be careful!
Very tasty Mexican restaurant, loves the enchiladas a lot. Drinks are pretty tasty as well. Rojo is a awesome bartender, he really loves his craft and it shows, drinks are excellent and he was a great host. Plus they also have Great salsas and salads. Very well prepared carnitas and Al pastor. Definitely recommend coming here, join them at the bar for a fun experience.
I have reviewed alot of these restaurants. I usually have the same food. This sauce what was on it was sooooo good and spicy. I dipped eveything I had in it. The flights were good and looked really nice. About the same pricing as others. I paid 100 with a good tip for everything. It's a must have.
2/5/26 Hand another wonderful meal. :) They did a wonderful job with the inside of this location. It looks awesome. The server was very friendly, and the food came out quickly. I really enjoyed my burrito and the drinks were perfect. Two thumbs up and I will go back soon.
I think they serve an upper tier of Mexican cuisine here. The service is always top notch and our server Maritza was amazing. Never had a bad experience there!

Great drinks, food, and wonderful service by our waitress Liz!! Beautiful and very nice attitude! Moclajetes were so good. Loved the presentation and ambiance. Price is fair. Overall would be back. Drinks tasted and looked great !

This place was amazing. Great atmosphere great food. Amazing drinks. Will be back here again.
We went here an hour before closing and it was fabulous! The best Mexican I’ve had visiting Santa Rosa. I got the cantarito to drink and could have kept drinking had I not been tired already - the honey chili rim was on point! The fam got beef fajitas and enchilada, while I got the molcajete de mariscos. The octopus was melt in your mouth tender and I devoured the mariscos! The servings are huge but we felt we could have kept eating bc it was that good! Took off one star for atmosphere since we came an hr before closing and it was cleanup time.
My wife and I absolutely love this place. The service is great and the food is fantastic. Our favorite place to go for mexican food. The Molcajetes are amazingly delicious but don't stop there, everything is absolutely amazing!
This place is amazing! Phenomenal Mexican cuisine. Last night my wife and I shared the chicken fajitas and OMG we could not believe how delicious they were. Best of all — wait for it — the homemade corn tortillas! And the salsas! What a treat! Don’t hesitate. Go there and enjoy the deliciousness!
First time trying this location, and sad it took us this long! The place was packed on a Friday night, but the front staff were so kind and accommodating. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, and the entire time the hosts were on top of it- monitoring tables leaving, updating reservations, taking/handing out to-go orders. Service once seated was prompt and attentive. Chips are served with amazing salsas. Drinks were great, food was delish, we didn’t wait too long for anything. All the people working there were rockstars from the front of house to the back. Will go again! :)

I brought my wife and family to this place without any plans. The signage is garbage and almost missed it. Context: i am from San Diego and I have eaten the "best Mexican food" in the world as a matter of course. I say this sober, in full control of my faculties, without reservation or coercion. This was the finest, best tasting, best prepared, best all around mexican cuisine I HAVE EVER EATEN IN THE WORLD!!! I have spoken.
This is more like 4 1/2 stars. Presentation of the food was really good. The taste was good as well and the portions are good in size. Staff was attentive and like the Latin instrumental back ground music. A definite change from your typical Mexican restaurants. Their mixed drinks are good as well. Its not exactly cheap. It was 80 bucks for me and my wife so be prepared to dig deep in the pockets

The food was good but pricey. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. Ordered everything from quesabirria tacos, aguachile and caldo de res. We were there for lunch on a Friday. It wasn't busy. Disappointed they had no wifi available to customers.
Lots of potential. Need to return one more time before I feel more certain whether this is a 4 or 5. Service was very welcoming and kind. Obvious positive. Parking lot is a little weird but there's plenty of parking in the general area since it's a strip mall. Food was good; the salsas served with the chips stood out.

It’s the second time I order a burrito and both times was not satisfied. First time I ordered a vegetarian burrito and it was basically rice! They left out the guacamole, the sour cream, and barely any cheese. I paid literally $20 (if I round it up $19.45) and I was expecting more for what I paid. Didn’t really taste or saw any cheese, barely any sour cream and guacamole or pico de gallo. It was mostly meat and rice. I’ll definitely save my money and go somewhere where they add reasonably portions and not be stingy.

I stopped by to grab a quick bite and a drink on a Sunday night. I sat at the bar and waited to get served. It took a while to put in my order no biggie. I ordered 2 steak tacos and a margarita. The tacos were nice and big but no flavor, the margarita was ok. Chips and dip was excellent. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because when I requested for my bill I was told that that my bill was $30. I asked the gentleman why and he said I ordered 2 tacos And a drink. I was like of course I ordered that. I asked how much the tacos were he said $18 dollars. I asked him you want to tell me 2 tacos cost 18 dollars he said yes without flinching. 😏 logically you'd think he'd be like that's weird. But noooo I guess common sense ain't common no more. I have eaten in many great Mexican restaurants but never have I have paid $18 for 2 mediocre tacos. I was very applaud but in my nature I did not want to argue so I asked for the receipt to pay my bill and this is where things changed. He became very hesitant and went to call the other waiter. With my little Spanish from my understanding they messed up. I was behind the counter as I watched them scramble to fix it. A phone call was made blah blah blah 😑. After 10 minutes the gentleman fixing the error comes over apologized and offered to refund my money. I am not sure if it was an honest error or whatever it was. I was disappointed with the lack of honesty. I actually love the other Los Molcajetes Bar & Grill off Montecito Blvd so I expected a similar experience. Unfortunately not I will not be coming back here.
