Its carls... its fast food. I usually know what to expect except for my really salty fries, but eh it was doable. Hate the AI ordering. But it is what it is. Can't really rate a place with zero to no interaction. Thats why im putting no stars for service.

It’s been a year since I’ve been to the Santee restaurant. The server was nice and efficient. The food came fast, but they didn’t put my chili on my Santa Fe chicken, so I just had them bring me a chili instead of making me a new sandwich. All in all the food was good . last year through the drive-through-They messed up my order after I had to wait for it out front then I asked for sauce and the girl told me just to walk in and get it very rudely so I put my prosthetic leg on for the first time, going out to get food by myself, and walked in and the rude person never apologized -so after a year I thought it was time to try again

They have an AI at the drive thru. Very depressing. This is likely a corporate decision but dissent has to be made known somewhere. The elites want to pay neither taxes nor their workers. The humans are what makes this place good; both the friendly guy at the window and the people putting the food together!

Omg i have never had such a rude "i can't be bothered" worker experience. Drive thru didn't care less if she had a job. Asked if i wanted any sauce, then didn't give me any. Barely reached the bag of food out window in drive thru. Then closed window. I had to yell what about my drink. I then waited and got a small soda filled to top with ice. I paid for large, when i asked wait this isn't a large her reply was a roll of the eyes and scoff "yes it is". Which i haven't been to carls jr in awhile so maybe it is but i doubt it. When i got food home the bun is a complete soggy mess. There is just water/juice leaking all over and sandwich is swimming. I paid over $15 for this?

They better close this location, ordered the cali xl from this location and I got a sandwich you would not want to eat but I was very hungry unfortunately. They put only cheese and patties are cold and old they are dried out. What a shame on them and the company

Totally agree with the One star reviews. Sadly but true, tasteless cold food, I work near by Santee location, its been a long time since I purchased and after tried Again, it it the same story again, yucky taste cold food, definitely I wont buy here anymore!

9 out of 10 times I come and eat here they get my order WRONG, it’s amazing that they just don’t get it right. What hurts is that I always pay extra for the double meat and I get home and it’s single. The manager running this restaurant should be replaced (chubby bald headed guy)

This restaurant has consistently been a disappointment. In all the visits over the years, my order has been wrong more than it's been right. For some reason, I keep giving them another try. Yesterday I struggled through the "AI" drive through ordering process and ordered a hamburger. I asked for "no pickles" which was clearly printed on the screen and receipt. My second bite in, guess what.....lots of pickles! I think I've had enough bad experiences here.

We used to get food here a lot and always had a good experience until the AI drive through. Now we only visit if we are able to order through the app and pick up, which isn't often with our busy schedule. I miss the food but it isn't worth the hassle.

The drive-thru automated order taking system is terrible. I have come here twice within the past two weeks and both times the system failed to properly comprehend my order. This evening, the automated system messed up the order three times before a human order taker took over. Even after human intervention they gave me a Chicken club sandwich instead of what I ordered. Fix your automated system or get rid of it.

I can’t recommend the low carb burgers at this location. The last 2 times I’ve been, they used the outer throw away layers of green leaf lettuce, not the nice crisp iceberg they usually do and advertise. It tasted so bad. I had to pull it off and use my own from home to make it edible.
