Had breakfast and dinner there. Atmosphere is great. Food is above average compared to the other restaurants available in the resort. Appetizers and dessert options did not disappoint. Service is always top notch. Had a good time

Been here many time for breakfast and lunch, twice for dinner. The lobster bisque was flavorful, slightly too salty. The sole fillet was fresh and tasty. The salad was refreshing. The Salmon was fine, slightly dry. The mediam rare beef tenderloin was perfectly done. The service was excellent.

To be honest, I genuinely appreciated the wide variety of delicious and delectable foods that were offered. I would like to express my gratitude to all the talented chefs who work diligently to ensure that every tourist and customer feels satisfied and has an enjoyable stay. I thoroughly enjoyed all the food and drinks, and I was also impressed by the attentive and hardworking staff who served us. Just forgot to take photos of the food I had.. 😊

Great choice when staying at Catalonia royal Bavaro we went plenty of times during our stay. We made sure to try and get Anyuli every time as well he was awesome. Even got a picture with him.

Great food quality for breakfast. Better than other buffets

Agradecer a Dominga y su equipo que se preocupan de conseguirte siempre la mesa que más se ajusta a tus preferencias, ya sea en el desayuno, la comida o la cena. Durante nuestra estancia Jairo se encargó de que cada día fuese único y José Luis, que cuando supo que estábamos de luna de miel nos preparó una mesa especial súper romántica. Todo el staff es increíble. Regresamos todos los días a este restaurante. desde la bienvenida con mimosas y todos los cocktails hasta cada una de las personas que nos atendió. Isabel y su linda sonrisa, Robert el chef principal que nos preparo el mejor Chili con carne y sobre todo jairo que nos organizo una cena romántica por iniciativa propia el último día que estuvimos por ahí. Un placer ser atendidos por un staff de primera que pone todo el cariño y la energía en hacer su trabajo de la mejor manera. Grandes personas hacen grandes vacaciones!!! Gracias por todo!!!

The staff in the resort is nothing short of amazing! You can eat at this restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thalassa restaurant is located inside the Catalonia Royal resort in Dominican Republic. Breakfast buffet includes cheeses, toast, mangu (mashed plantains), potatoes (hash brown), bacon, salami, yogurts and sausage. There's an omelet station with a cook. Lunch is also a buffet, serving sandwiches, cheeses, Dominican style beef stew, chicken stew, rice, and pastries. There's a pasta station with a cook as well. The wait staff will serve you beverages (including certain alcoholic drinks and coffee of course). Dinner is restaurant style (no buffet style). Just a few plates to pick from. Since it's all-inclusive I suggest always bringing cash to tip the staff. It's usually more than one person taking care of a table/section. There's indoor and outdoor seating. They have different themes at night for entertainment (outdoor section by the pool) They always serve efficiently and with a smile. So welcoming! #BeCatalonia

La comida bien pero el servicio muy lento en la noche

Had breakfast here everyday, really enjoyed the food, never had a bad meal. The chefs even made us mofongo & tostones, a very nice treat. Ate dinner twice, again no complaints against the food. The service was good, but I really didn't care for the harassment to give good reviews. I realize that this is something that has been pushed on the staff by management, but it somewhat spoiled the whole experience of the meal.

Diosmery very cool! Very friendly and sociable and the highlight of this spot. Some dishes were okay. Lamb was solid, beef was not. The pushiness for reviews was offputting.

The beef had the worst texture of being tender and chewy. The sodium bicarbonate will do this to cheap beef. Lots of much better options at this resort.

Terrible food no other way to put it. The fish that's advertised is not the fish you recieve. Majority of the fish is replaced with swai catfish, that arrives frozen from Asia. Dont get me wrong the swai catfish is a good tasting fish but if it says grouper, stoker or sole thats what i expect to get. We are fish/dining experts. They try to conceal poor quality food/rotten as high end for example the caviar. It was literally dyed. The black was coming off the "eggs" absolutely not sturgeon. I'm just appalled of how bad most of it was. The espresso coffee was good quality, even the house wine white and red was surprisingly smooth and tasty. The mango and pineapple fresh fruit was always ripe and delicious the cantaloupe and kiwi were a hit or miss, papaya was terrible.
