This restaurant does 4 things and it does them all with gusto: wine, beer, salad, and pizza. Top it off with a nice view of the waterfront while sitting on their outdoor deck seating and you've got a winning combination. But seriously, this place only serves those 4 things so don't go in expecting anything more or you'll be disappointed.

Our favorite pizza place in Saratoga Springs area, Go early to get a seat on the weekends. it open all year and even nicer on summer days when you can sit on the deck with a cold one and a super pie...yum.

You can't beat the location. You can't do any better with thin crust pizza. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. And I've had pizza all over the world

Excellent wood-fired pizza 🍕 👌 A nice deck overlooking the marina.

We loved the pizza, atmosphere and service. Very thin, crispy crust cooked in wood fired oven in the dinning room. Will definitely return when in the area again.

The pizza is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. We go here every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving- the whole damn family around a long table. The service is great, staff are wonderful and they accommodate us without a hitch.

Jusr did salads and dessert....no pizza....but everything we had was outstanding! We're hoping for outdoor seating but that was pretty full; but there was plenty of space between tables in the dining room, so we were comfortable there. Nice casual atmosphere, and staff were very pleasant. All and all, a very nice experience.

Really good pizza with a perfectly crispy crust, good ingredients. Good salad. Good service. Wish we sat outside overlooking the picturesque waterway, but ate instead in the main dining room which is devoid of design

Love the pizza! Perfect is you love thin crust and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is great too. The outside seating fills up quickly in good weather

Great alternative to downtown, fantastic gourmet pizza. Quite busy, get a reservation.

Fantastic pizza! Only wish the door didn't blow cold air on us everytime someone came in. Sit away from the entrance on a cold night!

I have not been here in many many years. Why I don't know. The pizza is just as good as it ever was which by the way is outstanding. Fresh ingredients make a huge difference. Staff was friendly and accommodating I really need to make the effort to go more often.

Great beer and wine selection. But most importantly the pizza is amazing. I love the pepperoni and my wife says the BBQ chicken pizza is the best she's ever had. Highly recommend!

Love this place!!! Their specialty salads and Sammy's organic chicken pizza are to die for! We enjoyed the Pepperoni Pizza, Pear and goat cheese salad and hubby had the cream of tomato soup!

Every time I've been to Harvest & Hearth, I've had nothing but a wonderful experience. The pizza is fantastic and their Mamie's poppy seed salad is out of this world! I recommend H&H to all of my friends and family when they're in town. (especially during the summer, the deck is great!)

Food is super good, pizza is the best in the area. However, slow service and can’t drink the tap water. Worth the inconvenience for the pizza though!

F

Expectedly it took a little while to get our food as it is a brick oven pizza place, but my God was it worth it. That mushroom pizza did things to me that I'm, to be honest, not very proud of. Sat outside on the deck, great service and food! Ten outta ten 🔥

This is my all-time favorite restaurant. It is in a really convenient location by Saratoga lake. It is right by boat docks. It is always easy to find a parking parking place in their big parking lot. The kitchen is in the same room as the dining area, so you can watch the kind chefs cook. Service is always fast, and they always deliver right what you order, and the taste is delicious.

Love this place, been many times. Pizza is worth the wait. And you do need to be prepared that most nice summer evenings at least when we've been there... there's usually a long wait. Try the strawberry salad, will sometimes sell out!

Aimee was amazing! She was very friendly and fun. The owner was tossing the dough out front, and he came to talk to us as well! Very nice to see a team working so well together :)

Great place! The pizza here is so delicious and fresh. We are always seated quickly, but we usually arrive at off times for that reason. We have little kids, and the staff always seats us right near the big oven so the kids can watch the pizza cook. Good times!

If you are in Saratoga Springs, you HAVE to come to this place! It’s our first time in New York and we wanted to eat some good pizza while we were here. This place delivered. The best pizza I have ever had. We got the apple crisp was also the best i’ve ever had. Service was wonderful, the atmosphere cannot be beat and the view of the creek is amazing. Will be coming back 100%.

Wow what great pizza, had the hearth house pizza and holy moly the crust was amazing, cheese was delicious sauce wasn't too sweet or tangy, it was hearty spiced marinara-esque

Hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to. For two, you need to split both a salad, large pizza and brownie sundae and you will never be disappointed. The Mammies Poppy Salad is unbelievable and words can't describe how good the BBQ chicken pizza is. Usually if there is a 'special' pizza for that night we get that on half of it too. Everything is brought together by the warm, inviting farm-like atmosphere. This is truly a gem and my wife and I make sure to make the 4 hour trek from Rochester at least a handful of times every year for the sole purpose of enjoying our dinner here!

Came on a Wednesday after track and was not disappointed! The main dining space is large and overlooks the river and the stone pizza oven. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Each person in party had wine. The sangria was ok, not worth having more than one as there wasn’t much flavor to it. The pizza though was out of this world! Everything is fresh and organic. They also have gluten free. I was leery about it as There aren’t many places that have good gluten free crust. Theirs was so delicious especially with the bbq chicken. The regular pizzas are huge and can definitely feed a family In the nice weather you can sit outside on their patio.

Went here when my wife and I were in town recently and had a wonderful experience. The waitress was very helpful and took time to explain the menu and answer all our questions. We started with the Mamie's Poppy salad which was fantastic. Then we ordered a large pizza with half "The Shrouds" and the other half "Sammy’s Free Range BBQ Chicken" both were excellent and we were fortunate to have some left over for a snack the next day.The location is awesome, the ambience was very cool, friendly and inviting, service was great and food was delicious. Can’t go wrong here, we will be making this a regular stop next time we are in town again.

This is our favorite place when we want a quality woodfired pizza. It's going to be more expensive than your corner pizzeria but for good reason!

Absolute best food in or out of town. We love making the short trip to be by the water and relax but the food is always excellent. I don't know how they do it. The Poppy Salad is a favorite with my kids and my husband, and we can not get enough of their Mushroom pizza! Delicious, addicting and awesome I say!

I love Harvest & Hearth, for many reasons. I love the location right on the water of Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs, as well as the cozy, rustic charm of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they serve excellent farm-to-table food. You typically will find owner, Peter Michelin manning the pizza oven, which is right on the dining floor for patrons to watch. The pricing is a little higher than your average pizza place, but that is because Harvest & Hearth prides itself on only using the best, quality ingredients sourced from local farms. I love that they offer gluten free pizza too. Although it is quite small, if paired with one of their salads, it's quite the satisfying meal. My favorite pizza, only available as a special from time to time, is the Rustic. It's made with tomatoes and garlic, and is just perfect. But I have also tried many of their pizzas on the regular menu when I can't get the Rustic. I love the Epiphany and the Natural as well. As for the salads, my husband and I always get the Mamie's Poppy salad. It is so good. It has minimal ingredients, but is out of this world! The salad is made of poached organic pears, fire roasted pecans, fresh local goat cheese over organic greens. The poppy seed dressing is absolutely amazing! We could "drink it out of a cup" kind of good! They are a busy place, especially on the weekends, so make sure you get there early. They do have a nice seating area near the bar if you need to wait for your table.

E
Elizabeth Menteur

I absolutely love this place! The views and pizza are phenomenal. I just wish they were open earlier on Saturday and open Sunday. With the kayak shop next door, it seems like a huge miss during the summer. I would love to come here more often but their hours are short for a pizza place in the summer.

A
Adam Trudeau

This place is excellent for thin, fresh, wood fired pizza! All the ingredients are the healthiest available and really make you feel good about eating pizza! As I mentioned, it's wood fired pizza, so the pizza has to be thin in order for it to cook without burning. It's a pretty delicate cooking process that can go south really quickly if the cook isn't paying attention. Luckily, this place is on point, and our pizzas were perfect. I would recommend eating in the restaurant to get the best feel for the pizza. Since it's so thin, ordering takeout is a gamble if you live more than 10-15 minutes away. I live exactly 10 minutes away and I try to time it out so that as soon as those pizzas get put in the box, they are handed to me and I'm out the door! I get home and they are still hot, but have cooled long enough to eat. The Hot House is one of our favorites but a basic cheese or peperoni & sausage is a solid choice too!

As someone who lived in Long Island I consider myself pretty critical of pizza. This pizza was seriously incredible. Perfectly crisp, explosion of flavors. Love how the pizza oven is in the dining area. And the hot brownie sundae was to die for with homemade whipped cream. Simply so so good. Can’t wait to go back when the patio is open!

Fresh made artisanal wood fired pizza. Get a table by the wood fired oven to catch all the action

Best pizza in the area! Love the Shrooms pizza! And the Mamie’s Poppy salad is delicious as well. My only complaint is the water. It’s untreated well water and tastes quite bad. They do offer bottled. But the iced tea is made with the well water and also tastes bad as a result. I would suggest a water treatment system. Untreated well water can contain harmful bacteria. Other than that, everything else is amazing! One of my favorite places to eat out!!

M
Matt Carpenter

My family’s favorite pizza place. The crust is perfectly crisp and thin, how we like it. Atmosphere is relaxed, and outside by the creek is a great place to let the kids run around while you have a drink at the bar. Classic Saratoga experience, and half the time we come we see friends from the neighborhood. We had the Epiphany pizza last time and highly recommend it. We usually get the Shrooms or the Natural, both also highly recommended. Salads are large and well suited for sharing with the group. Good beer selection. This place is a staple of the area.

Delicious pizza and salads combined with a friendly atmosphere make a big win! My family and I enjoyed a nice takeout dinner for pizza night! Affordable and the order was ready on time. The pizza was hot and the salads were cold! Overall, looking forward to my next visit. :)

Consistently great food. We have been going here as funds permit for the last four years or so. It can be hard to get in, but we have never been disappointed. I am trying to think of what our favorite item is, I don't think I can narrow it down to one or two items. I continue to highly recommend this place to friends and acquaintances and I have never had negative feedback when doing so. I sincerely hope you will enjoy it as well! Update: stopped by again last night with business guests from Japan. Once again the salad and pizza were amazing! Everyone really enjoyed the openness of the room with some blues/jazz playing in the background. Unusually clear evening provided an awesome sunset over the creek. Still very much recommend this restaurant for good food and more of a local feeling.

Awesome place! Neat little place tucked in around the square. West side of square.

J
Jacoba Taylor

Absolutely fantastic pizza. The location is serene by the water and the service is efficient from kind servers. Don't order the tap water, it tasted like sulfur, so if you want water make sure to ask for it bottled. I personally recommend the Shrooms pizza, the caramelized onion replaces the sweetness and moistness that's missing from not having traditional marinara sauce. One of my favorite pizzas I've ever eaten.

For three days, I was CRAVING a substantive salad, so my person brought me to Harvest & Hearth. What? A pizza place? First, it's adorable. There is a giant brick pizza oven in the middle of the restaurant, and you can watch the crafting of your pie. But also? THEY HAVE THE BEST SALADS IN TOWN. I was warned that they are 'family style' - that one bowl is intended to serve four people as a starter. And I did share a little, but wow, the poppyseed dressing was outstanding and I finished it off myself. The pizza was also lovely - we ordered three for the table, including the BBQ sauce/chicken pizza, which was tangy and unique and really lovely. I'm sure in fairer weather there is patio seating as well, and we will 100% be back.

This restaurant is truly one of a kind, boasting the best pizza in town, a picturesque view of the river, a woodfire stove were you can watch the masters at their best and an intimate atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. Their menu features an array of mouth-watering options, including the wild mushroom pizza and pesto chicken, which are undoubtedly my top picks. One clever trick is to order a large pizza and divide the toppings to sample two distinct flavors. Additionally, be sure to try their delectable poppy salad as a side dish 😀

The best pizza, salads and Apple Crisp. I love coming here just sit at bar stare at the lake, eat good food and just come to relax. It is a wood fire pizza place, so pizza takes time and it’s 100% worth it. My favorite, all of the pizza I can’t pick! Although schroon and hearth ( pictured as can do both) I get the most.

My family's favorite place for fantastic wood-fired pizza, refreshing organic salads, and a relaxed ambiance. We will always love this cute little spot in saratoga. The outdoor seating during the summer is an added bonus! Their brownie sundae is an absolute must-try. I'm not much of a dessert person, but I can't resist ordering it every time.

I think this is the best pizza in Saratoga. Think crust, handmade, fresh, wood fired. The staff is wonderful and the good never disappoints. Don't forget Mamie's Poppy Salad and the brownie ice cream sundae!

Pizza was delicious 😋 We could not decide between the Shrooms and Hearth House pizza our server Amy suggested getting half of each which is what we ordered. Both were delicious as well as the brownie sundae we shared. Amy was exceptional and very friendly. Looking forward to going back.

Some of the best pizza ever, with thin crust, fire oven-cooked right by the door, with clean open spaces, plenty of natural light, and a healthy selection of beer and wine. Bar, outdoor patio, and indoor seating. Always a good crowd and many families. You can build your own pie or order from reds and whites they suggest, and personal or large for shares. You can get family size in the salads, which are good, and which comes out in a delicious mountain. Do *not* get the water on tap: it stinks like eggs, and really should be filtered. Our server didn’t warn us, and we should have gotten the bottled Saratoga water. Otherwise, it’s always excellent here, and strolling the docks afterward by the river is an awesome after meal vision.

No public dock space to visit by boat, but well worth a drive for some great woodfired pizza. I'm not one to rave about salads, but they make good ones here. Get a pizza, a chopped salad and a craft beer, and relax with friends on the deck overlooking the outflow of Saratoga Lake. Nothing better.

Great pizza and great creek views! As per the advice of another reviewer here, my boyfriend and I did the poppyseed salad to start, split a large pizza (half BBQ chicken, half pepperoni) and finished with a brownie sundae. Everything was delicious! I especially liked the poppyseed salad, they are doing something right with that dressing. If I get back to Saratoga Springs I would definitely return!

We lived in New Haven CT. for years and anyone who really loves a great pizza pie knows New Haven is second to none. We have lived here in Saratoga since 1995 and have tried every pizza place in the area and to be honest many have good pies. However before we had made it half way threw our three pizzas the entire family agreed the pizza was just as good as the pizza from New Haven! Each pizza was perfectly cooked with fresh toppings. By far better then any in the area. If your looking for an absolutely great pizza here you go.

The mushroom pizza is probably the best pizza in town, although it’s true they’re sometimes inconsistent. Salads are an absolute favorite. Wine list could use some improvement.

F

The pizza here is always a treat. Expect a lengthy wait for a table during peak hours. They stopped serving at the bar due to staffing shortages and the wait for food was uncharacteristically long. The food is definitely worth the visit--but skip it if you're in a hurry.

Delicious pizza! Got the Hot house, and some apple crisp! Yum! Good environment outside on the deck. Inside is a weird vibe. Waitresses are lovely and I enjoyed everything.... except the water. Water tasted like fishy tap water lol.

J

There's not a lot of pizza in the area that I really look forward to getting, but this place has got it down! I tried their custom Pizza with jalapenos, onions and a few other choice ingredients. Couldn't get enough of it! And The View on the lake is a great bonus!

B
Bart Marvin

Best pizza I've ever had. No one makes a better crust. I can't believe I live so close and haven't been until now. Only four stars cuz I I only know the pizza and nothing else. Service was very good. Place is clean. Highly recommend.

Heather Von Allmen

Wonderful brick oven pizza place sitting on Fish Creek. They have a variety of artisan pizzas (meaning creative toppings) and their salads are fantastic. They are easily shareable with a pizza. For those who don't know, the water around Saratoga can taste very different depending on its source, and you should be aware that the tap water here can be quite "sulfury", so you may want to consider bottled water if you are a water drinker. They sometimes can have a long wait, so consider going early. However this evening the wait wasn't bad.

J
Jane Cristiano

Hate to not give a 5 star review, but it is honest. The pizza was amazing, our salad was tasty, but the water was undrinkable (wasn't even clear) and the bathrooms were absolutely appalling. I felt so uncomfortable taking my daughter in there because it was so dirty. Overall, we will be back and we love the food, but probably would call early to opt for takeout next time.

L

Harvest and Hearth has the best pizza in the Capital District. Thin crust, baked in a wood-fired oven, and with an exquisitely matched blend of toppings. They also have great salads. Their Mammy's Poppy Salad is dependably excellent, and they have a daily special that is often even better Wife and I go there fairly regularly to share a salad and a small pizza -that's a perfect dinner for the two of us.

D
Dan Bleier

Super pizza, quickly done in an attractive wood fired oven. Tasty huge organic salads. Service was a bit slow but not too bad. The indoor setting is not attractive. Could use some design. The outdoor deck is much more pleasant, as it overlooks lots of watersports. BUT...it's ALL ABOUT THE PIZZA, YUM!!

P
Pat Donovan

Excellent wood fired stone oven baked pizza spot near the water away from downtown Saratoga. Pizza is excellent with just enough of the smoky stone oven taste. I am no vegetarian but the gluten free cauliflower crust was much better than any other GF bread product I have tried. Desserts are excellent also, baked brownie sundae was a hit.

B
Brandon L.

The pizza was outstanding, as was the service. I can’t remember the name of the dish but the Hot pizza with chicken was honestly one of my favorite pizzas of all times. The open air vibe was great and provided a really cool atmosphere. The thing holding it back from five stars is truly the bathroom, if I had not gone after my meal I honestly don’t know if I would have eaten as it was repulsive how dirty it was. I’m hoping that was a one off experience, as I’ve struggled to return due to that but am starting to want to give the pizza I loved so much another try.

W
Wendy Flint

This place has the best pizzas and salads. My concern is the cleanliness policy of the people making the pizzas. 2 women brought their little puppies to see the cooks. All 5 of them played with the puppies and then went back to making the pizzas. One cook has longish brown hair which covers a lot of his face. He needs I hat. Handwashing issues need to be addressed. I know I don’t see behind the scenes in other restaurants but I did observe this.

T
Tatum

It always seems to be a mixed bag on what we get when we visit Harvest and Hearth. Most of the time it's a long wait (1hr+) for a pretty good pizza. The most recent time we visited, it took 45 minutes to get two pizzas and the crust was soggy and limp. The toppings were delicious, however. Their poached pear salad arrived more quickly, but the pears were flavorless. Their wine, ciders, and beers are good and varied. It's an alright spot to eat if you have the time.

C
Carl Sedon

Excellent flatbread. Good family place although lacking in atmosphere and coziness. Beer list is ok but could be better. All in all , go for the takeout.

Stacy

Rough start, but the pizza was great. I am happy to see the staff was able to turn this visit around. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. They were highly recommended by local law enforcement.

R
Ryan Mustain

The pizza is excellent, even if slightly overpriced. Our issue is with the fairly slow, laid-back service, and the very sub par restrooms.

B
Brian White

Food is consistent with the specials always tasting good, but the place is frequently under-staffed. The bathrooms also leave much to be desired with broken paper towel dispensers leading to wet towel rolls placed on the sink to compliment the broken stall doors. Despite the shortcomings, we return for the food because it's locally sourced and the creativity is worth the wait.

M
Melissa Davis

Service was ok, nice setting. Soup heavenly but overpriced. Salad ordered with added chicken for surcharge...and it was literally a SPRINKLE OF CHICKEN CRUMBS. Hard to find in the lettuce! When I remonstrated with the waitress, she did bring a small bowl of additional chicken crumbs. Looked like granulated chicken for pizza TBH. This meal cost $64 with tip. That was two soups and two salads... Begging for more chicken.

J
JG

First let me start out by saying people absolutely love this place and I certainly like the atmosphere and the outside dining but the pizza style is just not for me with the heavy oil on top and the undercarriage not quite crispy however if you like that type of pizza you can't go wrong I like the traditional New York style pizza better

P
Peg Tayler

I specifically asked for our pizza to be a little less charred than many of Hearth and Harvest’s pizzas are. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great! We were seated right in front of the pizza oven and could watch the guys making the pizzas, the cook, and the waitresses. The guys making the pizzas did not have their hair contained in any way. It hung down in their faces as they prepped the pizza. These guys also did not wear gloves. The cook did have his very long hair tied back. So we watched the guys prep the pizzas and the lack of hats or gloves was a turn off, especially when I pulled a hair from my pizza. As I watched the waitresses, I saw one remove something from the top of a pizza with bare hands and throw whatever it was in the trash. I think Heart and Harvest needs to revamp its sanitation protocols. I also wish they would offer a smaller size of their delicious-looking salads!

B
Bryan Wilkinson

The pizza is good. Not incredible but very solid. The service is quite disorganized. There seems to be nobody managing the waitresses and there are no busboys or anything similar. No water was offered and it took 15-20 minutes between any visits from the server for drinks, orders, refills, etc.

L
Lynn Blasso

I ordered two different pizzas for my birthday party and a family size poppy salad. I repeated the order three times and the person on the phone confirmed. The phone was however staticky. When picking up the order there was only one pizza and the salad. They said I would need to come back in an hour.

A decent experience next to the water. Indoor & outdoor tables. A short menu of salads & pizza mostly. $14 for a 9" pizza and $24 for 14". Wood fired and thin. Creative salads. Reservations probably needed on weekends, however they do not accept for less than 4 in your party. $7 for house wine, $5 for a domestic beer. Rustic decor. Parking can be at a tilt.

Just wasted 20 minutes calling this place to get a take-out. Every call went straight to the answering machine, even though they’re supposed to be open. One time they did pick up the phone and then immediately hung up. “Wonderful” service. Takeout was the only thing me and my husband still wanted to do from here, just because we enjoy the pizza - our experience with the dine-in was so horrible that we already decided to never do that again. So now, I guess, takeout is not an option either. That’s very unfortunate. We were always trying to support the place and give them business, but they clearly do not want it. UPDATE: 01/15 Since Pete took the time to reply, I've updated my review to two stars, but I wanted to clarify why what we experienced wasn't acceptable, despite the current environment due to the pandemic. Had you picked up the phone and told us that you were closing early, we would've absolutely understood, and wouldn't have thought anything of it - it happens, it's not a big deal. What happened instead though, was that you (or one of your employees) were there, had decided to close early, and between our first call at 7:45 and our last attempt at 8:00, ignored our calls, answering the phone just once, I guess to hang up on us so we would stop calling. I would've probably chalked that kind of thing up to an accident or even a dropped connection, except whoever hung up the phone missed the hook, and so we were still connected for 10-15 seconds until they actually hung up. The pandemic didn't make you (or your employee) hang up on us, you just didn't want to deal with a customer. We give a lot of support to area restaurants - my husband worked at one for several years, and we want to do what we can to help keep our favorites afloat during this tough time. I'm not sure where you get the idea that 75% of area restaurants have closed though, that certainly isn't our experience, and we live about 5 minutes from your restaurant, it's not like we don't know what's going on around here. In any case, the difference between the other restaurants we support, and yours, is that they at least give us the courtesy of picking up the phone and explaining that they are closing early, or post something on social media, or even hang signs at the door - the point is, they earn compassion and respect by treating their customers in kind, something we have not experienced with Harvest and Hearth. One star reviews hurt, but we wouldn't have even considered leaving one if this was our first negative experience there, or if your restaurant had extended even the remotest of courtesies last night.

Made a reservation on Wednesday afternoon for a party of 5 on Friday at 7pm as part of a birthday celebration. Drove an hour to the restaurant to be told by the hostess that our name wasn't on the list. She made no attempt to check if our name was copied down wrong, no attempt to rectify the situation in any way, didn't even apologize, and had the nerve to tell us that we could get a table if we waited for over an hour. They lost our reservation and then made us wait OVER AN HOUR to be seated. There's nothing nearby and it was Travers weekend so there was no way we could really go anywhere else. When I pressed a second hostess to check if our name was copied down wrong or anything she (who said she was new, and apologetic at least so no hard feelings towards her) said that they don't even take reservations for parties less than 7... so who took our reservation Wednesday!? we were finally seated and we weren't offered any sort of compensation or apology for the wait. Nothing. We ended up not leaving the restaurant until almost 10 o'clock which effectively ruined the rest of the night we had planned as our next destination was closed by the time we arrived. Our waitress was nice at least, but the pizza genuinely wasn't particularly good. The crust was almost TOO thin, and the sauce was honestly kind of gross. Cheeses and toppings were just kind of... there. The salads, however, were good salads. Drinks were overpriced and the one round we had ended up being almost half our bill for just beers, some of which were only domestic. The cost of a small pizza is only a dollar less than a large and it's quite literally tiny. Fit for maybe a child and that's it. I'd say the large pizzas are priced appropriately for the size but not for the taste. The aesthetic of the whole place feels sort of... unfilled and unwelcoming. I guess the bar is sort of nice as far as bar tops go, but don't expect a water view because all you're getting is kayak racks. Overall the food experience was mediocre and the pricing was mediocre, but coupled with the worst service I've ever received from a hostess I can't reasonably recommend this restaurant to anyone. I've spent my entire life in the area and I would recommend literally anywhere else. I'll give it a 2 because I'm sure the kitchen staff and other wait staff were doing their best and they don't deserve a 1 for that.

I visited this place yesterday, Saturday 29, 2018. It was my very first visit, and you might want to read my whole review. I will give the one good thing about my experience at the end. We, two of us ordered draft beer. The price point of $8 a pint is the highest I've seen for these particular beers. Generally, no big deal, until they brought the beer to the table as a 16 oz pour, which was actually a 14 oz pour when you subtract all of the foam on top of the beer. Apparently, someone hasn't been trained how to properly pour a beer. Part of what brought me here is the mission statement of organic and local. That is not partially a true statement, because half of the product doesn't comes from the area, or even New England. For example, the dairy or the ice cream comes from California! Think about that, we live in New England, with the best dairy in the country, why would they use ice cream from California? There's a wonderful ice cream producer within a hundred miles: Lulu's! The pizza itself, was undercooked, doughy, skimpy on the herbs and mushrooms, and heavy with greasy cheese. A thin crust pizza should not fold over like raw dough when you pickup a slice. The plates they brought to serve the pizza, we're so greasy that I'm sure they were never washed. I mean they looked as if someone took a napkin wiped them off and reused them. My concern is the pathogen issues when you're eating off dirty dishes that someone else's saliva and hands have been on prior to you. There is just simply no way that a dishwasher would leave that kind of grime. I noticed some of the kitchen help where a bit grungy. One guy had this nasty mangy beard that was uncovered. I visited the restroom and I had to urinate badly, until I entered the restroom and thought I might be sick. The restroom was so incredibly nasty and dirty and smelled so strong of urine, that I was sure someone had put my nose in the urinal. There were fly stickers hung on the urinals to catch all of the, well, under the rim flying insect. Let me remind you that it is the end of December. If the adage is true, that the restroom is an indication of the kitchen, that scares me, and it should scare you. Now for the one good thing about my experience. Dana, she was our wait staff and she was awesome!

We wanted to sit outside so we put our name on the list. We were never seated and crossed off the list. We had to ask again and hover to get a table. After waiting over an hour we did get a table. The service was slow but the pizza was good. We were overcharged but after being there for almost 2 hours we were fed up and just left.

Pretty disappointed with my last takeout order. I used to love their food but this time around, my salad had almost no toppings, I ordered the natural but got the shrooms pizza instead, and the pizza had so much crust - some areas had 2.5 inches of crust before the toppings started.

Pizza was fantastic, but I had a bad experience in regards to service. Our server took a LONG time to get our drink orders after we sat down. We were one of the first people in there so it wasn't busy at that point at all. We ordered a salad to share and a pizza. We finished our beers and our glasses sat empty for quite a while but the server never acknowledged or checked on us. I actually had to flag her down to ask for refills since she was about to walk right past us. More and more families came in and the place began to fill up. I then watched in disbelief when I saw a group that came in 20 minutes after us get their salad before we did. Our salad finally came and it was pretty dry. I had to ask for more dressing and it came..... about 10 minutes later. Another server ended up delivering our pizza. 5 stars for pizza, but have to knock off 3 stars for the terrible service.

I ordered the shroom pizza on cauliflower crust, was excited to have a gluten option (bummed no vegan cheese though). It looked nothing like the pictures on the reviews, black burnt edges and almost no mushrooms. I was watching my friends eat regular pizzas that looked incredible.. I'm not sure why a $5 more expensive crust could end up like that. And also, which the cauliflower crust came in a larger size. No cherries at the bar either. I won't be back, but if you don't care about gluten you'll probably be fine.

Loved this place around 2 years ago. I went last week with a group of friends to a disappointing meal. The pizza previously had a combo of of just enough parmesan and mozzarella but my last pizza was loaded to a fault with gummy mozzarella. The bottom was also covered in burned bits making each bit taste like nothing but burned. Dessert was still good. They make a fantastic hot brownie sundae (though I do feel they whip the cream a bit to much) Please fix you pizzas.

I was not that impress with the pizza and beer. I wasn't expecting the beer to have so much foam, especially for the price. The pizza had alot of cheese and it didn't appear to be wood fire pizza as claimed. We ordered two large pizza's, but one pizza was under cooked. However, the waitress, Dana was very polite and was the best part of our experience here.

Tried to go Harvest and Hearth tonight for takeout. We were told that we could order at the bar, and 2 minutes later, we were told that they "did not have the ingredients to do take out" but we could "sit at a table if we wanted". I'm home for the weekend to see my parents and wanted to pick up a pizza on the way home to see them. Very disappointed. You have the ingredients to make a pizza, but not to take out?? Not good business. Will not be back.

My family & I come here all of the time. The wait staff is terrible, every time. Food is usually amazing which is why we always come back- but was not tonight. Took well over an hour to even get our pizzas, which were extremely undercooked and cold. We asked to speak to the manager & waited another 20 minutes for him to come out. When he did he was not helpful or understanding. Very disappointing.

I don’t get it. First, fly strips in the pizza prep area, flies flying all over, and LANDING on prepped pizzas before they put in the ovens..we watched this as we sat and ate our overpriced salads. Then our pizzas arrived. Good Lord, that is a TINY pizza for the price, looks more like an appetizer..just thankful we watched ours being made last and put in the oven before the flies landed. We ordered personal sized, maybe the others are larger... Yeah, not sure what the big deal is here. We won’t be back.

If I could leave no stars I would! This place is one of my family’s favorites! Personally this is my 1st time. They told me they come for the food, not the service and that is just not ok. We came here to celebrate my aunts birthday. Reservation was at 6:30. It was after 8 when we got our pizza. I waited 20mins for a server to even ask me what I wanted to drink and then she didn’t even get that right. Server is not attentive AT ALL! When our pizza arrived it wasn’t hot, or nearly cooked enough. It is not busy at all. Ask for a manager 15mins ago and am currently still waiting to speak to him. I have been in food and bev for more than 10yrs and this is the absolute worst service I have ever had. I will not be back! They either need to fire everyone and hire a competent wait staff or close down and retrain everyone...properly!

We consistently receive the incorrect order when we purchase takeout from Harvest and Hearth. After we arrive home we notice and by that time it would take us over one hour round trip to go back and pick up the correct order. Most recently we called to let the staff know that we received the incorrect pizza order- the girl who answered the phone was nice, put me on hold while she spoke with a manager. When she returned the bottom line was "sorry" then a hang up. There's many pizza places in town that are closer to our home that provide far better service. At the very least they could have said, sure next time you stop in you have one pizza on us. The pizza ended up in the trash and I had a bowl of cereal for dinner. It's totally understandable that mistakes happen- but I am a pleasant person, and the least they could is make it right.
