We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were pleasantly surprised. The service is attentive, and the staff are helpful and attentive. The food is excellent; the first courses are served in pans, the wine in small bowls, and we found it very distinctive. The only thing that could be improved is the fact that the menu is presented on paper, which is sometimes faded or stained (it didn't make a great first impression). The pasta portions are generous, so I recommend ordering one at a time. I recommend this place.

When we ordered, the waiter forced us not to order two appetizers because he thought they were too much, even though we told him we were eating a lot. When the appetizer arrived, we asked for the other one we wanted, and he huffed and rolled his eyes and did it for us. We wanted to get up and leave because we were shocked (I was already a little annoyed that I asked for a different type of pasta and he rudely said no). I'm giving it three stars only because the food was good, especially the carbonara, but I wouldn't go back because of the waiter's attitude. The girl, on the other hand, was very nice.

An experience definitely on the lower side of the rating. Appetizer: cold cuts were pretty tasteless and cut sloppy. the gricia never met its roman counterpart or something similar (do not take it), the lamb was the only positive notes cause also the roasted potatoes were pretty meh (and that’s difficult to mess up). Wine selection awful to say the least. To sum it up a Roman restaurant where Roman pastas are crap. If you can go elsewhere, if you got no chance go for a piece of meat and save your night from disappointment.

The location was very nice, and the appetizer was good; the cured meats, if bought high-quality, never disappoint. And that's where the good things end, unfortunately. We waited 50 minutes from appetizer to main course, even though it was 10 pm and the restaurant wasn't full; in fact, there were maybe two other tables. When I took the liberty of asking the waiter with this phrase and a big smile, "Excuse me, I don't mean to be rude, but can you tell me how long until the first course?" He smiled at me in a teasing way and replied, "Well, we're almost there." Without actually asking the kitchen how much longer it was. Such rudeness and an inability to work with the public were out of the ordinary. The first courses were unfortunately very disappointing; the pasta alla gricia was a simple dish with bacon, and the oil seemed almost used over and over again, it was so bad. The Carbonara left a bitter aftertaste that made it hard to eat. The only one that stood out, only because it was better than the others, not because it was good, was the cacio e pepe. Two of us (the only ones who ate almost the entire dish) had stomach upsets the next day. It's a shame, because the place has potential. We won't be back.

1: I was cold. 2: The gricia was salty with pasta. No sauce. 3: The meat tasted like nothing. 4. Non-existent service: we asked for wine three times and it was graciously brought to us at the end. We won't be back. We were a table of eight and everyone agreed it was a terrible experience.

I hate to write negative reviews, but when it's necessary, it's necessary. Endless wait times, average food, but expensive for what they offer. The place is really nice, but if I have to spend that much and wait that long, I'll make the carbonara at home.... I'm sorry, but I wouldn't return, nor would I recommend this place to friends and family.
