Passing through Savona, the reviews led us to La Cantina. I can only confirm what I'd read: a lunchtime menu for €12, what more could you ask for? Pansotti with walnut sauce and goulash with a side of fries, everything delicious and plentiful. The owner, Massimo, was incredibly kind and friendly. How could we not return? We'll do so every time we pass through Savona.

Today I had penne with arugula pesto. Spectacular flavor. Then meatballs with peas. They taste like the ones my mother used to make... Excellent service. Friendly, polite staff, and they serve everyone even though many arrive at the same time. I recommend arriving before noon. It's also reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. This old-fashioned trattoria not far from the station is a lovely discovery. First, because the menu is already visible outside, posted daily on a post at the nearby intersection (but it's also featured inside, plastered here and there on the walls). Second, because the atmosphere is friendly and lively, with mostly workers at lunchtime. Last but not least, the food is decidedly home-style, hearty, and tasty, excellent value (€12 for lunch, always closed in the evenings), featuring simple yet hearty local and international dishes featuring pasta, meat, fish, and side dishes (see Linguine al Pesto or Scaloppe alla Pizzaiola). The friendly cooking, prompt and precise service, and a fair price are the real strengths: recommended!

I had a business lunch here based on previous reviews. They even found a table for me without a reservation. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was quick, even when busy. The tagliatelle were excellent and perfectly cooked, the veal with tuna sauce was excellent, and the fries were delicious. The coffee was also excellent. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Excellent. Honest and sophisticated cuisine. Here, the guest is still king and is treated to a menu made from high-quality local products. And all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Go there and you'll surely be satisfied. Excellent cuisine at a friendly price. Massimo in the dining room will guide you through the dishes masterfully prepared by his mother. Unfortunately, after several years, it's only open on Fridays and Saturdays. You'll want to make a reservation because it's always busy. A well-deserved 5 stars. Hats off!

Excellent trattoria, this is my second time there and I'm very happy with it. Excellent and varied cuisine, with a daily menu offering both fish and meat dishes. The three of us, including dessert and coffee, spent €41. I recommend booking a table because it's always busy. Despite this, the service is quick and very friendly.

A rustic, slightly dated place, but for a business lunch, you can eat as well as at grandma's house! Fairly reasonable price: €13.

La vineria

A classic, slightly old-fashioned, popular trattoria with a reasonably priced lunchtime set menu (€12 excluding coffee). The food is reasonably good. I don't think it needs any advertising, as the place is quite small and the pressure to get a seat is already well beyond capacity.

Palese at 1:00 PM with the 12 euro menu they give you stuff they got cheap and that tastes like nothing. Let's forget about the pasta; the main course had a flavor I hadn't tasted since school cafeteria days.
