I was actually looking for a Sushi restaurant that has apparently gone out of business. I saw the positive reviews for Pronto and immediately headed over. I sat at the bar and immediately met some new friends! I started with the bisque soup that was AMAZING! My main course was the Clams & Linguine with white wine sauce. Superb! I finished with the homemade Tiramisu and coffee. Equally good! I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in town! Very nice staff as well.

My husband and I had our first experience this Friday at Pronto we asked for a hi top in the bar area. We where greeted soon as we opened the door & seated in front of window. We will ask for that table again.. if not seats at the bar itself. Wine selection very good we both had Melbac the calamari w/red sauce cooked to perfection. I had chicken parm, my husband being our first time said I may do the same I told him try something else after talking w/our server he went w/ pork Osso Bucco over risotto. Both dished came & I can not express how wonder the food was. his chop was a dish for 2. My chicken parm Perfetto!! Dessert we had tiramisu and creme brulee the young coming back w/water & to ask how things where extremely polite & nice to chat with. Our waitress was just fantastic. We will be back that is forsure friends we have told are thrilled to try. Thank you everyone we met that night YOU the FOOD have left a every GOOD impression.

I was charmed as soon as I walked in! The atmosphere was so pleasant and cozy, especially for a winter meal. As far as the food goes, the four people in our party each ordered a different entree, and they were all marvelous. So good. Can't wait to go back! The service was wonderful, and I had the best manhattan I've ever tasted, which was a definite bonus. Bravo!

WOW! Since moving to NEPA last year, we've been trying to find that "spot". The restaurant you go to for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. And we found it!! As a former restaurant manager, it takes a lot to impress me, but man, was I impressed. The food is absolutely to die for. And hands down, the BEST service we've ever had. I had the arugula salad special with blue cheese dressing and then Penne Vodka with chicken. I'm not one to take home leftovers, but I had the rest of my pasta packaged up. I was disappointed that they were out of tiramasu, but I guess it gives us a reason to go back sooner. The staff really go above and beyond to make you feel like family. 100000% would go here again. It's a small place so reservations are highly recommended.

This was my first time at this awesome restaurant and I am so glad that I was able to go there to eat because I cannot give it enough stars. Awesome place, the food was awesome service magnificent. We go there often for special occasions. All meals are stellar. Staff is more than accommodating!! My husbands favorite place!

The service was impeccable. Food was delicious. It’s a small place but it has a wonderful atmosphere. Everyone is smiling and very personable and inviting, a rare thing these days in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I would definitely go back. Bravo 🙌

We ordered takeout - everyone was so nice when we picked it up, stellar atmosphere. The food was delicious - so much flavor! My taste buds were very impressed by the butterflied grilled shrimp and vodka sauce! We WILL be back for more! Special thanks to the woman who answered the phone and helped us pick out some great dishes, including the fresh mozzarella appetizer.

Restaurants where the owner is present and on the floor are always many steps above the rest. Easy to access location with lots of free parking at the end of the block, the interior is dark, warm and even a little romantic. But we all know it’s about the food and the service. Both exceeded expectations! We had four different meals and each plate was empty. I didn’t even want to share or have anyone taste mine. Service was great, water glasses filled often and wine replenished. Too full for dessert but cappuccino and espresso we’re perfect. I’m afraid to rave about this place as they fill up but can’t deny that this is our new favorite place.

We had such a nice dinner last night! This was our first time here.... it was a recommendation from a friend. We had some drinks and calamari appetizer. Then my husband had the cod special which he liked.... he said it was different but good. I had the vodka penne.... this dish is in the top 3 of all vodka penne dishes for me. It was unbelievable. Then we had creme brulee and tiramisu.... both made in house. The only negative I would have was the prices weren't on the specials menu.... and my husband's cod dish was $30! That was a shock. The service was outstanding.... we felt like we had been going there for years.

We are here for the first time last night. The food was extraordinary! The people who work there all seem to care about what they do. The service was very friendly and prompt. Every course of our meal, including wine and desert was totally satisfying. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the prices were just what I expected them to be. We will definitely be back.

This is a diamond in the rough. I had to meet a colleague halfway between Philadelphia and Ithaca...so I picked Scranton. Based upon reviews, we decided on Pronto. Don't let it's simple exterior fool you. This is a very good restaurant. Service is attentive. Atmosphere is casual but nice (tablecloths). And the food is delicious. I had the Pollo Pronto. I didn't need teeth to eat it, so tender. With wonderful lemony flavor. Price was moderate...making it an extremely good value for the money. Strong recommend.

Couldn’t ask for more. Food deserves a Michelin star. Great ambiance. Perfect dinning room warmth and volume. The only thing better than the food was the experience. These sisters have Italian all figured out. I don’t just want more, I NEED more. A must have anytime the girls will serve.

This is it. This place is amazing. Super cozy inside and excellent food. The owner lady makes it happend, she is very personal and caring. I had a shrimp cocktail, shrimps were very fresh and not limp. This is my new favorite place, I am taking my mom there this week.

This family-owned restaurant is a must-visit if you're looking for Italian food. The staff went above and beyond for my 13-person wedding dinner, and truly made it a night to never forget. Their help and kindness was more than I could have asked for, and if I could give them 10 stars I would!! And on top of this, the food was fantastic, everyone attending couldn't stop talking about it days later.

Wonderful Italian restaurant. Truly a diamond in the rough. So much nicer than all the "local" restaurants that have been in this area for decades. Pronto is clean and very classy inside. Professional and very friendly staff, high quality food (which is hard to find in this area). We ordered chicken balsamico and chicken Parm. Both cooked perfectly with sides of pasta with delicious red sauce and fresh carrots and green beans. Speciality martinis were also amazing. The bar area was nice also. A quiet, enjoyable space. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

This place is a real find! The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. Parking's a bit of a pain, but totally worth it once you're inside. Will be back.

Pronto is amazing! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the family that owns it is just the best so welcoming and genuine. You can really feel the love in everything they do. One of my favorite spots!

Unbelievable. As the head coach of the sprint football team, we had an incredible meal! Emilio runs a beautiful Italian family style restaurant! We loved the food and the staff was even better. Go Navy, Beat Army!

We always enjoy dinner at Pronto when we are visiting NEPA. Their food, atmosphere, staff and martinis are fantastic. We are from NYC so we are selective on where we dine for Italian cuisine. Make your reservation, you will be happy you did. Salud!

The staff was personable and attentive, and the food was delicious! I had the papardelle short rib ragu, and I can’t wait to go back for more. The drinks were delicious and the environment feels like home. Thanks pronto!

This place has the best Italian food I’ve ever had in my life. I highly recommend the chicken parm. I sub out the red sauce for vodka sauce. The red sauce is great but the vodka sauce is soooo good. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy. The service has always been amazing and the martinis are great! One of my favorite restaurants in Scranton.

I honestly don't know how this restaurant has such great reviews. The food is mediocre at best. The service was descent however. My husband and I drove 35 minutes to eat here because I saw it had such great reviews. Being of Italian descent and growing up in North Jersey I find it very hard to find good Italian food here in PA. (the Poconos area) We ordered the calamari which had to be imitation. It was so chewy that we both did not like it. My husband ordered the Pescatore and said it was just okay. I had the Chicken Florentine and that too was okay. Nothing delicious or great, just okay. I passed on dessert but my husband ordered the rice pudding, which was also just okay. We ordered two cappuccinos which were the absolute smallest cappuccinos I have ever seen a restaurant serve. I was pretty disappointed. I don't know what people consider to be good Italian food, but this was not it.

Was super disappointed with the braised short rib special. The ribs were awful. Risotto was good but for the price, heck no. Such a shame. I wanted to love it.

I must say the food was very good. Had a special of the salmon with sauce tomatoes and spinach. Thoroughly enjoyed it. That being said the restaurant itself was terrible. It had an overwhelming smell of some type of air freshener that smelled like a ladies room which got stronger as the evening progressed. I left coughing and needing to use an inhaler; having my clothes smell like the room. It was just awful. It ruined a great meal.

I usually don't like to write negative reviews. The restaurant was nice enough and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was not good. My son had penne vodka and I had rigatoni Bolognese . Both sauces tasted like they came out of a jar.

I was so disappointed with our experience here. My husband wanted some really good Italian food for his birthday, it had to be a Monday night which rules out a lot of restaurants in the area since they are closed. So when i found this place and read the reviews I thought it was going to be amazing!!! I had high expectations. But service and food fell short. The atmosphere is nice but service was notably bad for us (waited forever to get menus, when putting in our drink orders i tried to request an appetizer too but the waitress turned her head and ran away so quick she didn't hear me!, Also called ahead of time to let them know it was a bday celebration and i wanted to do a dessert with a candle for him but dessert came wrapped up in a to go box) And the food was just OK. not bad but definitely not great. We got the bacon wrapped shrimp which had good flavor but a lil overcooked and a crabcake app which was the weirdest crab cake I've ever had. not gross, just an odd texture- almost like a ground meat. and we both got papparadelle- me the short rib ragu and he did the pronto, both ok but way too salty. And my Martini was mostly juice and way too sweet. Overall not impressed- menu sounds good but wouldn't come back to try more.

Disappointing Experience Despite Reservations We had reservations at Pronto Italian Restaurant and were really looking forward to our visit, but unfortunately it was a letdown from the start. Even with a reservation, we were seated at the bar instead of a proper table, which immediately set the tone for the evening. The food itself was extremely underwhelming. Most of the dishes lacked any real flavor, and the chicken was unbelievably thin—about as thin as a slice of cheese. For an Italian restaurant, we expected much more in terms of seasoning, portion quality, and overall care. The one bright spot of the night was the cheesecake, which was absolutely amazing and easily the best part of the meal. Overall, between the seating issue and the bland, poorly executed food, this was not the experience we were hoping for. Sadly, the great cheesecake wasn’t enough to make up for everything else.

This review is strictly for their Gnocchi. First time i tried it, something seriously wrong. It tasted horrible and texture was completely undercooked. It tasted raw. I didn't want to complain because it was my wife's birthday. A few months later she ordered to go and brought it home. She surprised me....with the Gnocchi. Absolutely awful. They simply cannot make it properly. Will make sure to never order it again. No other issues, but i cant understand how they can serve it.
