Always love going there! It's a local favorite! The salad bar is delicious also!
Sad to say, the service here is going downhill. We ate in tonight and our pizza was cold when it got to our table. Hard to imagine how it gets cold being walked across the room! The waiter tried to excuse it by saying that thin crust is harder to get right without burning the crust. Too bad for him, we’ve ordered that pizza before with no problems. They used to have excellent service and great pizza. Now, so so service and cold pizza. It may be that their new location is too big for them to handle properly. I’m updating my review on 1/8/20. They contacted me shortly after my initial review and asked if they could make it right. My wife and I went in this weekend, and had a very good visit. The food was the way it used to be. Hot and delicious. The service was very good (although we did have a different waiter/waitress). We have always enjoyed their pizzas, and I’m glad to report that everything is back to normal.
Going to start this review by saying we ordered pizza to go. From the moment we called in our order, we were greeted so kindly by Danielle who even went out of her to way to OFFER us a $4 off coupon with our order. She didn’t have to, nor did we know the coupon existed— she did it out of the own kindness of her heart. We went in to pick up our order, and we were greeted by Danielle & another employee who was wearing a red sweater— just as kind as Danielle! The entire store itself is inviting, and it is quite the show since they make the pizza in front of you. Our six year old pulled up a seat, and that’s when we met Robert. He brought our little girl dough, and he even showed her how to make a pizza— dough flying in the air and everything! The only bad thing we can say about our review is that we live 6 hours away and won’t get to experience this kind of customer service anytime soon. One of a kind, sweet & genuine people! Thank you Mario’s pizza & staff for making the last night of our trip the best by far! Also, pizza is just as AMAZING!!! Highly recommend! Look no further, eat here!
Just moved to the area and this place is amazing. I was greeted quickly by our server Robert who explained the menu and process. Every entree comes with a trip to the salad bar which is the best I've ever had. The salad is seperate when ordering a pizza, but at $5.50 it's well worth it. My wife and I split a pizza and Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Both were absolutely amazing and large portions. The service was the best I've had. Can't wait to come back to try more.
Mario’s has what I consider the best pizza in the Clear Lake area. It isn’t quite NY style as it’s still too thick like just about every other pizza place in TX, but their ingredients are top notch. Definitely the best cheese around here. My wife always gets their Margherota pizza for this reason. They also have the more traditional combinations in their specialty pies. There are other places you can go to get “weird” pizza (aka NOT pizza). Just because it’s on a pizza crust doesn’t make it a pizza anymore than being in a martini glass makes it a martini. The inside is ok. It’s clean if not kind of boring. Definitely not date night material IMHO. Maybe it’s missing the low ceilings and the old Italian owner that hits on your wife. :) They do have a decent salad bar if you’re into that. The staff is nice and attentive. That said we are take out people. I have dined in a couple of times though. Value wise, Mario’s is at the upper end price wise compared to its corporate competition. It’s only off by a couple bucks though and if quality matters to you more, I would order Mario’s over the big boys.
Delicious food, fast/friendly service, great pricing if I could rate higher than 5 stars I would! Highly recommend 🤩👍🏽
Been going to marios pizza since it was on 146. They have the best lunch special in town and a great salad bar. The tortellini or Pollo alla Freddy are both amazing. Service is always great and friendly. I don't think we've ever been there and Amanda not been our waitress. When our work crews pull in, they always stock up the lunch buffet and take great care of us.
Really enjoy the pizza and salad bar! The service is usually pretty good, sometimes seems a little short staffed for the amount of business they have. Can get a bit crowded, so just be patient.
We spent a whole week visiting places around the Houston space center and on our last night we accidentally turned into this parking lot just trying to get back to our hotel after unsuccessfully finding a place to eat. When we saw it was a pizza place we decided to go in and this place was the BEST dinner we had ALL week! Thank you everyone that made this a special last night of our vacation. They give the kids dough to play with and were very attentive to our needs. Food came out quick and was VERY good and best of all (for me) virtually everything on the menu was available in Gluten Free equivalents so it was a triple win!
We ordered take out and it was ready when we’re told it would be and byways great, pizza was fantastic!
Mario's catered my wedding!!! We got salads, brushetta, Alfredo pasta, chicken Parm and porcini ravioli. Everyone absolutely LOVED the food!! I still have family telling me how good the food was!! Not only was every one well fed it was delicious. On top of all that, something special I ordered that I wanted on display next to my cake were cannolis! I ordered 75 cannolis from Mario's and there were beautiful!! My guests were impressed! And there were almost all gone!! 10/10 if you got a large crowd to feed call Mario's!!
This place knows how to cook! I ordered the eggplant parm. sandwich to dine in and a large Mario style pizza to go. Both items were more than excellent with the full flavor of a real homemade sauce and fully loaded toppings. The staff was friendly, just like you would be family rather than just another patron. I am so glad that I stopped in
The pizza supreme brought back memories of old pizza place as a kid and I am 50. The staff was ready to attend us from the beginning. Every employee is doing something no lazy young employees but young hard working staff. Eva our waitress was so nice. The kids got some dough to play with that was fun. We will be back.
Our waitresses was very kind and attentive. We had a pizza it was delicious 😋.
We used Mario’s to cater our wedding & I’m so glad we did! Andy & Trent were so kind, and the food was amazing! Our guests are still telling us how good the food was. We got the chicken parm and penne pasta Alfredo and it was delish. I had never been here prior to our tasting, and this is definitely going to be one of our go-to lunch/dinner spots. Thank y’all so much!
We've been ordering delivery from Mario's for over 30 years. Never really cared to eat inside at their old location, but NOW WOW!! This new location is wonderful. Clean and comfortable with lovely light coming in from the wall of windows. The salad bar is really good (try their homemade ranch dressing) and of course the food is excellent. Their lasagna is one of my favorites. It covers a large plate and a trip to the salad bar is included. Service is great too. If you haven't tried this new location, I highly recommend that you do.
We ordered a large pepperoni for takeout. the best pizza I had in a long time. I would definitely. recommend this place. Ingredients are fresh, in the pizza, and it was hot and juicy. Can't wait to dine in and try the salad bar.
We ordered online and the process was easy! I arrived and was greeted with smiles and a friendly hello Our pizza was delicious, the staff were friendly and it felt genuine. Inside everything looked clean and orderly.
This place is absolutely amazing !! Everything tasted great ! Pizza is authentic and exactly what pizza should taste and be like ! I ordered water and it is some of the refreshing best tasting cleaning water around ! Sometimes I fear ordering water at restaurants cause they always taste dirty or from the tap , but here everything is on point !! Great job ! I’ll definitely be back !
Always delicious. We order about once a month. This is my family's favorite pizza place. Been getting pizza here for years. My husband loves the wings. The Bruschette is delicious as well. We have had most of the menu and never been disappointed.
Phenomenal experience! Took my two young daughters and the experience was outstanding! They provided some dough for the kids to play with while they waited. The food was great! Ordered garlic bread and a large pepperoni/sausage pizza. The only thing I regret is that I’ve lived here for four years and this is my first time experiencing this place. Extremely friendly staff and great food. Highly recommend!!
Was visiting from Austin and Mario's was only a couple blocks from our hotel so we decided to stop in and give it a try. And we were not disappointed!! I got the Pasta Trio (I chose the Tortellini, Beef Canneloni, and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce) and it was a large portion of each pasta and they all tasted sooo good! I loved the vibe of the restaurant, it was packed, and you could watch them tossing the pizza dough and making everything right there! The staff was also very friendly and wonderful! I will be adding this on my list of places to stop whenever I am in town! Definitely stop if you are in the mood for pizza or pasta!
We order from Mario's just about every time we go to Seabrook. The food is always fresh and delicious. The dining experience is also great. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. It's always fun to see your pizza dough being thrown in the air! There's a wide selection of wine and beer and a great patio area when the weather is nice.
Love Mario,s By far the best pizza you can get Delivered to Shore Acres.. We need to come in for that salad bar.
Really good pizza and not greasy at all like some other pizza places
Great place for pizza. I tried the Margherita pizza was amazing and service was great.
I love❤️ this place! The food is always good and the people who work there are so nice! One of the best places in town!
Delicious food. The lunch menu was very well priced.
The pizza was top notch delicious!! The hand tossed crust was light, crisp, and slightly buttery. We tried the Margarita and white pizzas..soooo Good! My wife had the salad bar and said it was fresh with lots of choices, we always try the calamari at any place that has it on the menu, Mario's calamari was nothing special, no special seasoning in the batter and a bit chewy.. As far as atmosphere goes, it was nice,I loved the Old World Italian paintings and the open pizza prep area was cool with the "flying" pizzas...but that's where the open display of back of house operations should stop.. there was a whole table in the middle of the dining room where employees were sitting rolling silverware and congregating. Some people may not notice such, but I was in the Industry for years and took note. I also noticed having to walk past three different tables looking for one that was clean, both top and floor. I love Tiramisu, another thing I always try when it's on the menu, Mario's was good..but still frozen, It tasted and looked like the same one served at the Olive Garden..which is delivered frozen as well.. if it's taken out of the freezer in the a.m., preferably the night before its perfect..We dined at Mario's before the dinner rush hit, it was filling up as we left, at dirty tables...BUT..all that said.. THE PIZZA is the star..5 of them!!
This place NEVER disappoints! Hands down the best pizza. The salad bar is a meal in itself! Mario's special is da bomb diggity yo! You gotta fill yo hole up with this pie! the tortellini was yuck. they are filled with Italian sausage, but I didn't taste it. no flavor, just Alfredo sauce.
I stopped in for an early dinner and the restaurant was not busy at all. I was told to sit anywhere, and I picked a spot close to the salad bar. The menu was large, and I decided on the Manicotti. My waitress took my order right away and told me that a trip to the salad bar was included. The salad bar was clean with a good selection. It had shredded ham, which I really like. Everything looked very fresh. They had approx. 6 different dressing choices along with croutons and crackers. My Manicotti arrived and it was smothered in melted mozzarella and very hot. The pasta was really good, not too thick or thin and the cheese filling was very flavorful. The tomato sauce was on the sweet side, in fact I wonder if this is their pizza sauce because I could totally see that. My dinner also came with some bread and that was really the only disappointment I had; it didn't live up to the rest of the food. They should have had much better bread. Overall, a really good dining experience. I would most definingly go back if I am ever in town again.
Hands down best pizza around the Seabrook League City kemah area and damn good authentic Italian dishes as well. The owners Andy, Tom, and Will are really great inviting people too. Ready to work with you on your next catering event or dining experience had Mario's cater my wedding actually and it turned out amazing I can't recommend this place more highly
We absolutely loved it!! Our first time and we will definitely come back 🤩 delicious food and great service 👌
I got two large pies(one regular and one regular with green pepper and sausage) from here. Both of them were good. Relatively thin sliced, good amount of sauce and cheese. The slices are a little bit soggy for my liking. I am from NYC and I don't want to compare this to NY pizza. But this place has good pizza. I also got tiramisu which was really delicious. Also a suggestion, consider transitioning away from single use plastics(forks, spoon, knife, styrofoam) etc. Update 2: Got Got regular pizza(cheese) and it was good. The ratio of sauce to cheese could better imo. This is also relatively thicker and smaller compared to a NY slice. But overall it was delicious. Update 3: Still very good. I like the consistency in the pizza I got all three times. Update 4: Same consistency as last time. I picked up the pizza after they closed and very good customer service. Update 5: Same consistency Update 6: Still good. Would like more cheese to sauce ratio on cheese pizza. Also got french fries. It's a little dry and less crunchy. But taste good. Sausage and pepper sandwich has good amount of meat in it. It's heavy and soggy. Very delicious nonetheless
Consistently excellent pizza over the years. Just as delicious today as it always has been. I like their new location on NASA road one, just a short distance from 146. They have big windows and a much more airy feel. Great service. The restaurant is almost always full, but big enough to still find seating.
This place was amazing! The location was close to our hotel (Springhill Suites), the food was delicious, the staff was friendly and welcoming (even though we got there 10 min before they closed, they let us stay and finish our meal without feeling rushed), and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting! We loved it and will definitely be back when we come back to this area! Thank you, Mario's!
I had not been to this new location. i used to go to Marios Flying Pizza on 146. The pizzas still fly here! I love watching the guys making pizza spin the dough high in the air. I have to say I love the new open concept at this location. Large widows, tables, booths. The food that comes out of this kitchen is amazing ! What a treat for the taste buds. The variety of pizza and pasta is great, including Lobster Ravioli! Now for the famous Fresh salad bar, don’t skip it. You can do one trip with your meal or an all you can eat. Everything is fresh and clean. You can watch the pizzas fly! The service was awesome . Super friendly and attentive staff. They do catering as well. All prices are great for the caliber of food you get. As a Astros fan the replica trophy and the chairs out of the Astrodome was a great added bonus! Will definitely return soon !
I love this place. The 3 off us go in and it reminds me of an Italian eatery in New England. The wait stuff is sweet and the baked ziti is delicious. I love having the salad bar option as well.
I am from Florida and staying at a nearby hotel which is walking distance to several eateries, including Mario's. I first walked to a bar/grill with 4 cars in the parking lot, and the entry smelled so bad I turned around. I noticed across the road that the parking lot of Mario's was full. I said this is for me. I walked in the front door to a packed house. The mood among the guests seemed festive, and I said to the hostess that this must be a popular place. The hostess said this is 99 cents wine Wednesday! Well show me a seat. I'm by myself and I think this could take awhile. Nope. I was served right away. Nice salad bar, which even had french salad dressing as an option. Try finding french dressing in Florida! I ordered a Calzone. It came with a side of marinara sauce and wasn't too doughy. I see a sign on the wall said that Thursday night is 99 cent draft night. I'm coming back next time I'm in town. A wonderful dining experience.
10/10 we stopped in because it was right by the hotel, weren’t expecting much. The staff is amazing and super friendly. Super kid friendly, they gave the kids little dough balls to play with while we waited (very shortly) for our food. It was probably the quietest meal we’ve had as a family ever. The food was outstanding. Everything came out absolutely perfect. Kids loved their pizza and the pasta had a great portion. Still thinking about their Alfredo a week later. Seriously a great place.
First time at Mario’s Pizza and Pasta, and wow! Exceptional service and great vibes all around. I believe the manager on duty, Will, made the experience even better — thank you! We ordered a large Meat Lovers pizza and it’s delicious 🍕🔥 Great food + great energy = we’ll definitely be back!
This is a great casual Italian restaurant. The description in Google Maps says it’s “bare bones,” but it’s nicer than that, but not fancy. We were greeted and seated immediately and our order was taken promptly. There’s lots of seating; tables with chairs and very comfortable booths. We loved that the restaurant was a comfortable temperature on such a cloudy, chilly day. The food (manicotti and calzone) is prepared fresh and served piping hot with generous serving sizes. We had enough to take away and eat the leftovers tomorrow. There’s a salad bar but we didn’t try it. The service was excellent.
This place is always good , clean and the service is amazing. I enjoy the lunch pizza and salad bar buffet. I've had almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. I recommend giving them a try.
One of the best Italian food restaurants around. Wednesday special was $1.29 glass of wine. We got Chianti. Bread was so good. They put the butter under the fresh baked bread so it’s warm and easy to spread on the bread. I could just go and eat the bread alone. But the pasta was delicious also.
Eva thank you so much for your amazing service. We honestly enjoyed every bite and the whole experience. Trio 1000/10 Wings 10/10 Garlic cheesy bread 10/10 Also ordered a medium pizza half veggie and half meat lovers but they made a mistake and made it all veggie so they decided to make us a small one of meat lovers without us even asking, that was awesome Pizza 100/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Service 1000/10 give Eva a raise please
Just wanted to update my post from my last order and as usual Mario's always outdoes themselves! Unfortunately it's my last order as I'm moving far away I've enjoyed these last two years it's so refreshing when a business takes pride in their craft and this za was the best looking yet there's a pizza artist in there right now! As always unbelievable flavor I always cheat and get the margarita add sausage lol and the sausage is so thin the flavor has nowhere to hide! Please eat locally there's no reason to go to those corporate cardboard shops down the road this is the place and the first bite will prove it!
The salad bar is always fresh. The pizza is good when you request it well done. I enjoy their buffet and they will always make a special well done cheese pizza for me.
Good food at reasonable prices. I rarely give 5 stars but this place earn it. It said the owner would show you how to swing a pizza dough upon request but we didn’t. Waitress was super friendly: my mom ordered salad bar and pizza buffet but only visited the salad bar once without the pizza; she adjusted the price for her on the final bill.
We had ordered their pizza for takeout twice and it was delicious. Chose to eat in and had the eggplant parmesan. Wow. Most delicious sauce! Plenty of cheese! Yummy!
Great pizza. Great lunch salad and pizza bar during the week. I have been coming here and the original location on 146 for over 20 years. Enjoy!

It's nice to find a place with a salad bar. Don't see too many of those anymore. Mario's has great pizza and Italian dishes but my favorites are the Baked Potato Soup and their Calzone is sooo yummy

Really enjoy coming here for dine in. I wish they didn't mess up to go orders as often as they do. My daughter loves coming for lunch and getting the buffet, all you can eat sald/pizza. She also likes the pie dough they give her, lol.
This place was very busy but we were seated quickly. The food took a bit long to prepare but in light of how busy it was I feel that's understandable. The food was hot and delicious and as we ordered. Our server did a good job only a bit too much trying to visit with us and sharing details about his family life when we just said thank you for the food. Which isn't really a problem but not that professional. Will be back for the great pizza a nice light crust non greasy pizza.
A friend recommended I visit here for good pizza. so my wife and I drove 45 minutes to try out the place. The pizza and selection were great. Pizza crust just right. Lots of pizza sauce made the pizza I got real tasty!! Tried the brushetta and it was not that good. The cheese kind of overwhelmed it. The bread was a small round and was not freshly cooked. I would make this bread home cooked and tone down the cheese. Service and atmosphere were ok at best. I recommend it if you live close by, but I don't think I would drive 45 minutes to eat there again.
Above average, good food, in an unpretentious space. But it was a bit expensive. Clean Atmosphere, great full stocked salad bar, good portion size on all pasta orders. On the negative side, the thin crust pizza must be a pre- prepared or "purchased" "crust" that tastes bland, maybe not enough spices in the crust. Otherwise, all regular fying Pizza's are good to excellent.
We ordered carry out and loved our pizzas. The staff was very polite over the phone and in person. Most places charge for cheese and peppers which are customary to eat with pizza, I was pleasantly surprised that I was offered to take what I needed at no additional charge. Location was easy to find and will definitely be dinning in next time.
Great Service, Decent Pizza I recently visited Mario’s Pizza, and while the pizza was decent, the excellent service made the experience enjoyable. The pizza itself was okay—cooked well, with fresh toppings, but nothing extraordinary in terms of flavor. The crust was crispy but could’ve used a bit more seasoning, and the sauce was standard, not particularly bold or memorable. What really stood out was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient, ensuring we felt welcomed and taken care of throughout the visit. Their positive attitude made a big difference and elevated the overall experience. While the food didn’t blow me away, the great service definitely makes it a spot worth considering for a casual meal.
Have been coming to Mario's over 30 years and it is still some of the best food in the area. Pasta and pizza are amazing, but I can't help vut to always get the lasagna when I dine in. Great service, good salad bar, great atmosphere. Will continue to come until one of us is gone.. (Had the stuffed mushrooms for the first time my last visit....I will never make the mistake of passing them up again! Delicious!!)
Marinara was pretty spicy. Wonderful waitress. Kids get to play with dough.
A good local place for pizza and pasta items. They have a decent, but overpriced salad bar. There are only a couple of vegan options but if you’re vegan and your family takes you here, you won’t starve. Very friendly service. A reliable local choice.
The salad buffet is enough of a reason to go ! They're food & pizza is top notch !! I've been eating Mario's Pizza in Seabrook since it was a tiny little place along the edge of hwy 146 before they started building the Kemah Bridge... All the food & their service has remained excellent over the years. Definitely a fave place for me..
pizza tasted ok but the bottom was burnt on more than half of the 16". Wife couldn't handle it.

Great inexpensive place to grab pizza, cheap wine, and really nice pizza....local favorite!
Great inexpensive place to grab pizza, cheap wine, and really nice pizza....local favorite!
Ordered two 16" pizzas: one margherita and one custom. They were a little pricey and the wait time was 40 minutes which was shocking because we ordered at 3pm, not a busy time of day for restaurant…
Too expensive for what it's worth. Theres other better local pizza joints. The pizza is nothing special.
Mario's was good. The Chicken Parm was decent. And so was the spaghetti and meatballs. The service was polite and timely and the restaurant was clean. We will visit again.
Food was delivered within quoted times and hot when it arrived. Food was ok, not great. Pricing when ordering online doesn't match what was found online and there have been changes to what is included. $20 for pasta and you no longer include the salad? Did include plain bread, I thought it was supposed to be garlic but that may be my mistake. Ordering online for delivery was clunky, had to call and update details about our hotel that the website would take. I would also suggest that you send utensils when delivering to a hotel. Overall I don't think we'll be back.
Pizza is consistently good. Step up from chain places. However main dishes are not very good. Waitstaff were sub par and rude. There old location had charm. Rather pricey for a pizza parlour.
I picked up my pizza. I ordered a vegetarian with pepperoni and this is the second time I picked my pizza up and half of it is soaking wet. At the end I had to put it in the oven and this time it didn't get better. If you're going to eat pizza there, eat it in. Otherwise you're going to have a soggy mess. I don't know if they changed the dough or what but something's not happening. I don't know if the bottom of the pizzas aren't cooked long enough, but what a disaster twice
So the last time we went to Mario’s for lunch my daughter and I had Pasta and my 2 year old had the pizza and salad bar, when I asked what kind of pizza they had at the pizza and salad bar she said pepperoni, supreme and Alfredo I believe. I was like oh okay and the young nice girl said she could ask if they could make a cheese because my son doesn’t eat meats usually on his pizza and they only have 3 pizzas at a time. When she went over to the owner or manager to ask him she pointed at my table and he rolled his eyes. So needless to say one was never made and we had our lunch. Today we went to have lunch there with my husband. We had a different waitress with a super long ponytail. She was obviously over sat and it took us awhile to get service. When she did come she took our orders, had the busser bring us our drinks and didn’t return other than dropping off my daughter’s pasta. She never checked if we needed refills so both my kids had no lemonade from the time I sat down to eat until we left. She was in the back for a long time so we never got the chance to ask her for more. When she did come to the front she was sitting and talking with the to go girl (who was my waitress the time before). My husband had to go and ask her for a box to go for our daughters pasta. She also never brought my 4 year old any dough to play with until we asked after she delivered her food. When we were leaving, after we had paid and were standing to leave, my husband asked for another small box in the front, the waitress with the long hair approached him from behind because she was listening and very quickly and rudely replied for what?! He turned around surprised and said oh it’s for my daughter’s dough? She said oh. Idk if she thought we were trying to steal food or why she would assume we had any ill intentions instead of saying of course have a good day, but I don’t think the service was up to par today and considering the last experience I had, I thought it was apt to mention it today. Be wary, the food is always good, we have ordered here for years, we have had dinner after baseball, we have ordered tons for our baseball league, we have brought family here from out of town, but during lunch the service was not so great.
Food was okay! Tried a Trio today - spaghetti with meat sauce, fettuccine (it was a tad on the dry side), and lasagna. All fairly good! However, $7 to add a salad was grossly overreaching into my wallet. Plus I probably had to prepare it myself. Come on man as the “auto pen” used to say/write. $7 for a side salad is robbery! Lost a star over that!
Food was very good. The service, not so much. Unless, of course, you are a "regular." I had to ask for utensils and a napkin. Hard to flag down waitress as she never stopped by to see how I was d…
The pizza was not cooked enough very floppy, and the toppings were diced way too small The chicken wings the chicken tasted old The calzone was very good I would not order from this place again. I’d rather have Domino’s and I don’t like dominoes.
Well, they do make good food, but now they have raised the prices to where two large and one small pizza is a hundred bucks. That's just stupid for a local pizza place. Adding in service fees is just an underhanded way of charging me for nothing. Can't recommend this place anymore. No, we never eat in and we pickup our own food. Guess they are charging me for the honor of eating the food I pay for. They make great pizzas according to the family. For Gluten free people, they make a pizza bowl that has all the stuff for a small pizza minus the bread. It's actually very good that way. Managers are very responsive and helpful.
I used to love this place. The food is still just as good, but I hate how they nickel and dime their customers. The lunch special spaghetti seems affordable, until you realize that they charge extra for meatballs. They used to have a cup of soup included with the entree. That's no longer the case. But yesterday was the final nail in the coffin. My favorite menu item, which was a giant softball sized meatball, was replaced by a bowl of three regular sized meatballs. Sorry Mario's. But until you become a good deal again, I'll get my Italian fix elsewhere.
Wanted to give this spot a try because of the good reviews. Ordered carry out. The girl working takeout orders couldn’t care less if you live or die. Zero enthusiasm or friendliness. Got home with the pizza and the cheese wasn’t melted. Tried putting it in the oven and the cheese still wouldn’t brown or melt. In my experience, this is a sign of low quality cheese. Definitely will not be back.
growing up in the area when friends wanted pizza somebody always suggested Marios. i never loved it but liked the old ambiance at the 146 local. this was my first venture into the new location. i would have given 1 stars based on the food. but the staff is friendly so an extra star (note they are slow and spent more time rolling the silverware than serving guests). i realize pizza is all about differences but here: the sauce tasted like canned tomato paste the “Canadian bacon” is a low grade pork kielbasa sliced thin - zero flavor ans the bacon is ground pork - so bad my 14?year old bacon lover literally scrapped it off. sorry. the staff is friendly. place is clean and they do have a salad bar (rare these days). but pizza. - well they are not on my list to return for
Service was decent and the food arrived quickly, However the food honestly wasn’t good which was a big letdown. The atmosphere was okay.
This is a restaurant that doesn't care about it's end product- it's the lowest form of turning a profit by using cheap/minimal ingredients. Ordered Pollo Picatta and it was chicken soup. Light breading consisting of just flour and no seasoning. The sauce literally thickened by this fact. The garlic bread used what was just garlic powder and not actual garlic, and the cheese unmelted. The pizzas are not even cooked all the way with how pale the top appeared, and I truly believe the only reason this business has high ratings is because it's proximity to the people it serves/easy to get to for locals, and is probably one of the few places that still has an open self serve salad bar. Not coming back here, nor recommending this place to anyone.
Disappointing. I was hoping for a better pizza than mod but I was disappointed. The service was very slow. The pizza was wet to a point where I have to use forks to eat. margarita was bad. Worse on…

Unfortunately the portions, quality, and overall service has seen better days. The salad is no longer offered with entree’s, the ravioli’s have changed, they are smaller than the prior ravioli’s that were served, and the portion is smaller than before. I ordered the cheese ravioli and substituted alfredo for the sauce. Upon arrival the sauce was runny, lacked flavor, and was a milky sauce without the parmigiana cheese. After sending the dish back, I thought I would receive a nice creamy sauce like I have received in the past. Unfortunately, the kitchen served me the exact same plate of food that was sent back, sprinkled with parmigiana cheese, and green garnish. A manager never came to the table even after I took the plate back to the bar area (where I was ignored by the staff). The server however was apologetic and did offer another dish which I declined.
I have been frequenting this establishment for years since Marty & Tamara owned it. Went in last nite 2/8 for take-out. The young lady was so rude behind the desk/cash register. Tipped her 20 percent despite, but should’ve left nothing! People in the front of a restaurant are the 1st impression makers. She def needs some assistance in that area! It it wasn’t for the good food & my years of loyalty, I would not return!!! Please train her or put her in the back of the house, where no personality or smiles are necessary (a blonde with her hair tightly pulled back)
Save your money go elsewhere. Salad bar has wilted lettuce last two trips there. They obviously hire low Wage employees that don. It care about Food preparation. Soggy Buns on Subs, Pizza is bland. Waste of money last few trips.
We used to go all the time but Marios quality has gone downhill. Our server is standing amongst this crew, not interested un serving or taking orders, but hanging out and talking. And there was a lot of talking. The only redeeming part of this place is the salad bar. Sad that a salad is what stands out at a pizzeria.
ANGELA, YOU COMPT ALL MY FOOD, I APPRECIATED THAT……. BUT THE FOOD WAS WORSE THAN THE FIRST TIME!! MESSAGE ME PLEASE-ASAP-
Tuesdays “special” kids eat free with adult Entree is not worth it. Only certain items qualify, I ordered that even though that’s not what I wanted, and they took off $8 of my son’s $13.25 kids meal (didn’t include the additional chicken bits they up charged for and his tiny drink that he didn’t have a refill because he is 2 years old) They would not give my daughters $7 plain noodles for free because a calzone that was $16.50 didn’t qualify for it when the pasta dish that I had was $17 and that did. My point is, it was confusing, miss leading and not worth the effort. The server Eva was rude, when I tried to explain to her that were are here supporting a local business is this is your “special” that you run 1 day out of the week. At this point just take it down. Will never return.
Sorry to say this but this is one of the worst pizza I have ever tried. They need.to.improve tremendously. Change the ingredients for something fresh. It was so commercial and.bad. I have tried other good pizzas before and bad pizzas and I couldn’t even finish it.
They've gone downhill! I used to eat at the same location that was directly on 146. Haven't been in years or since the move to Nasa rd 1. The food was awful, as was the buffet. I was so disappointed and let down. It was a wasted $40 for 2 people! Me and my daughter. Way over priced for simple buffet lunch. Neigh of us even finished 1 plate.
We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. We Love Mario's in Galveston. What a mistake. Marios in Seabrook has nothing to do with the one in Galveston. The pizza was horrible, sauce and toppings on a cracker type crust. The salad bar should have been closed. The lettuce mix was brown and the other choices were old, the sliced beets were spoiled ,etc. The floors were dirty and many unbussed tables. It was a terrible experience. Beware. The reviews are not truthful. Or for a different Mario's.
Not only is this place nothing special. But it’s just plain terrible. Chicken parm is so over cooked and killed it’s hard as a rock. Sauce is out of a can. Speaking of hard as a rock. Who serves the tiramisu FROZEN!!!!!???? Just a BIG waste of money. The bread is not even fresh baked.
