Amazing food We have Hibachi filet Mignon + Shrimp plate. Delicious, filled with wonderful flavor The server was kind and caring! Lovely team that takes care of the guests!! Worth coming back to Monterey, CA just for this restaurant.

I'm so excited to write this review, I stopped at the UPS store and noticed a small place, and it said sushi. OK just going to get some sushi for lunch. Well, I wasn't expecting the best sushi I have ever had. If you love sushi, you know it's about the RICE , no fancy sauce or ingredients will matter if the rice is not on point. I tried 3 different sushi items and I just couldn't wrap my head around how good it was. OK, now for the hibachi specials, I ordered chicken and shrimp with fried rice and vegetables, came with miso soup, and could have its own review 😋. This meat and vegetables had grilled stripes and perfect slightly charred flavor. I am so happy I found this place and can't wait to return, almost forgot they are so friendly helpful love this place ❤️

Great food! Coming from Texas, I've never had the chance to go to halal Japanese restaurant before, and this place did not disappoint. The yakisoba noodles were delicious, and the beef in both them and the hibachi we ordered was flavorful and not too tough. My favorite item was the American Dream Roll, which is a deep fried eel sushi roll. I thought both the texture and flavor of it was superb, and the Rainbow Roll was good too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good Japanese place, and especially to Muslims that might not have had the chance to have Japanese food outside of sushi before!

Great Halal sushi place! I’ve gone several times when I am in the Monterey area after the beach. Was really impressed with all of the food. The udon noodles were amazing rich flavor, and tasty noodles. Of course the sushi is fresh and tasty. We’ve also been to their location closer to San Jose. Both are wonderful.

We visited few times in last 5/6 years. Every time I visited them I found they are professional with excellent service. Response is wonderful. Food tastes is good. Price is responsible. Kids and children love their food so much. Out of 11 kids 9 of the liked it.

Upon entering, we were welcomed and seated right away by friendly staff. Everything on the menu is halal, and we were able to work with the waiter to make sure allergens were substituted out. they were very careful with this matter and explained what was contained in each dish we ordered. The food was high quality and delicious. all our orders came out quick and were hot. The gyoza was delightfully crispy, and its filling was delicious. The yakisoba and fried rice were perfectly stir-fried and flavorful. As for the New york Steak Hibachi dinner, you can choose how much you want your meat cooked, which is nice. The portion sizes were all worth the price and very filling. Very clean and well decorated interior and their bathroom features a bidet. Such a wonderful restaurant run by muslim owners, will recommend to everyone. Hoping they'll open more locations across California.

This is one of the best Halal Japanese restaurants I have tried. It deserves more reviews …. The staff was hella friendly and smiling….. the whole atmosphere was so welcoming…. The service was quick. Also this place has ample parking space.

The food here is absolutely amazing. By far one of the best Hibachi Grills I've ever been to. I like they way the restaurant is set up as it allows them to make the food fresh and quick when you get there. When you walk in, it's not what you think of when someone says "Hibachi", but don't let it stop you because you'll be missing out on delicious food. Whether you eat in or get the food delivered (pictures are from both), you will not be disappointed.

The food is sooooo delicious. I found this Japanese Halal food place while visiting Monterey a year ago. Since then this has been our go to place whenever we visit Monterey. Thier authentic Japanese food is really delicious. I love the Hibachi stir fry shrimp/ chicken/ beef with either fried rice or noodles and the Yakisoba stir fried rice or noodles. They have huge selection of sushi rolls too. The restaurant manager Mr Rio is a very friendly and hospitable person and welcomes every guest with a big smile. The staffs in the kitchen go above and beyond to provide you with the most delicious authentic Japanese food. If you ever in Monterey please don't miss a chance to dine in at Wakatobi Japanese Grill Restaurants. Thank you.

This charming Hibachi and Sushi restaurant in Seaside is open until 11-11.30 PM, which is a great advantage. We ordered the Yakisoba and the Chicken Hibachi Dinner. The Hibachi dinner included Miso Soup and Salad. While the Yakisoba was delicious, the Hibachi was just okay - more like a standard stir-fry with chicken, vegetables, and rice. I found the Hibachi Dinner to be somewhat pricey for the experience. Typically, Hibachi is known for its theatrical cooking, but this felt more like regular kitchen cooking. For that reason, it seemed expensive.

Very Delicious! I had the steak lunch and salmon roll! The steak was juicy and soft, the salmon roll was classic and clean. My fiancé got the Godzilla roll and Dragon roll. He loved it! Quick bite, fast and kind service. I would definitely go again. 🙂‍↕️

The shrimp tempura wasn't as good as I expected, but the stir-fried noodles were delicious. Other rools were not bad, but sashimi was cut too thick, so I was a little embarrassed. It's not bad to visit lightly.

The tofu and vegetables were cooked perfectly, I was just disappointed to find a tiny piece of meat in it, and my husband's chicken was overcooked. Great tasty food with sharable sized portions. It can be a little loud and try to be the take out rush or you'll have a little wait to get inside. Will definitely come back next time we're in town.

From pictures this restaurant seems to look pretty at night time but there is nothing attention grabbing during the day. Upon entering the restaurant we were very friendily greeted and given menus. The employees gave us a choice of which table we wanted to sit at, so that was nice. We sat down and viewed the menu but were pretty shocked at the prices. No all you can eat, you must order by the roll and rolls are not cheap! Fried rice was approaching $20 and kids meals were much more expensive than other restaurants in the area. Overall didn't feel kid/family friendly. We also weren't offered a high chair with a noticeable young child with us. The table was sticky, the restaurant was pretty dark and not cozy. The stars all come from the kindness and friendly vibe of the staff. Ultimately we ended up leaving and opting for a more kid friendly restaurant.

Beware of significant price increases from menus pictured here. I have zero tolerance for greed or deception, so I walked out after a look at the menu and a brief chat with the guy at the counter. I went there because I had a hankering for some yakisoba. On the menus pictured here from "a year ago", it was $12 without meat. On the menu in the restaurant, it was $21. That's a 75% increase in a year. No thanks. I asked the guy and he said the menus online were old. So if they know this and don't correct it, it's deception. It would take them 2 minutes or less to snap a photo of the new menu and post it. I will take my money elsewhere. Ps my bad for not taking pictures of the new menus myself.

Ordered the beef udon soup take out. The noodles had mold all over them. BLACK MOLD. How can a restaurant be that negligent. There wasn’t just one noodle with mold there were multiple. Don’t go to this place. County health inspector should pay them a visit. People can get sick from that. What if i was a small child or an elderly person or an immunocompromised person. That could make someone very ill
