My wife and l have visited the Chardonnay restaurant in Seekonk many times over the past ten years, but we wouldn’t say that we are regulars. However, something happened yesterday, Tuesday October 21, that cemented our relationship with Chardonnay. I can see us becoming regulars. Last night l stopped at the restaurant to order a take out tomato, mozzarella, with chicken pizza for our daughter. When we got home and opened the box we realized that there was no chicken in the pizza. I called the restaurant, they apologized for the oversight and offered to correct the situation by having the correct pizza delivered to our home. About twenty minutes later, Clayton, the manager of the restaurant, was at our door, in Taunton, delivering the pizza, apologizing profusely, and making amends with a slice of their so delicious dark chocolate cheesecake. Now, to me, that is customer service at a high level. Thank you Clayton for the respect. Thank you Chardonnay for the value you place on us, your customers.
As usual, excellent! We used to come here often for the specials on the apps. Happy hour. Almost half price apps from 4:00 to 6:00. Can't be that. Food is always good, service is excellent and very friendly. This is one of my mother-in-law's favorite places to go. The buffalo wings were crispy and tender on the inside, and the sauce was just Right. I'm not usually a big fan of battered chicken wings, but they were very lightly battered and very good. The seared tuna salad was excellent, prepared just right.
Always a great meal here. I enjoy the food each time, service is always great. Even when busy the staff is very attentive.
Happy Hour was very happy for us! We had the margaritas...yummy, along with the Monday special... one $2 app with each margarita...what? If u haven't tried this, you are missing out! We had the shrimp scampi wood fired pizza and bacon wrapped sea scallops...both amazing! Then the happy hour menu. The chicken parm meatballs were soooooo good!! Chicken teriyaki wings were ok...not my favorite. Hoping to try the clams with chourico next time and the clam pizza. Can't wait! Mondays are a must try here starting at 4:30 in the bar area only!!
Ordered the Apple cider sangria which was amazing along with the authentic pizza. Great atmosphere and the waiter in training was very friendly and helpful. Will be back
My husband chose this spot since we hadn't visited in quite some time, and I'm so glad he did. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The margaritas are always 10/10.
Sarah made our night pretty special. Everything we had was excellent...started with the Brussel sprouts😋Clams Casino😋Braised Beef with Pollenta😋Pan seared scallops😋Their bread😋all of it was banging😋😋😁🤣🤣 Thanks for a great night💙...and almost forgot.....a Mango magarita😋...and a Pomegranate Margarita 😋
My boyfriend and I were in the area on a Friday night around 7pm and found Chardonnay’s after doing a quick Google search. They were incredibly busy but we were still seated in under 10 minutes. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and two 14oz ribeyes. The calamari was delicious - the batter was flaky and it wasn’t greasy at all. The steaks arrived shortly after our app & were cooked exactly as ordered. The herb garlic butter topping was delicious as were the mashed potatoes. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!
Great location, best service, great food. We ended the day celebrating my birthday at Chardonnay's and it was a very very Happy ending. Service staff was excellent every step of the way. Food was incredible. Awesome dining experience.
Plenty of parking. As soon as you walk in the aroma is intoxicating. The service is phenomenal. The drinks are really good. Big glasses. The patron margarita or the red sangria is what I would recommend. Ask for the bread. It is so soft on the inside with a crust outside and is served warm with whipped salted butter. We had the lobster ravioli in a lemon cream sauce that was to die for. We also got the braised short rib special in red sauce and homemade pasta with lemon ricotta on too, so yummy. Then to finish the night we got dessert. Vanilla Creme brulee, banana cream pie is torched right at the table to brulee the sugar in the bananas, and PB&c that is chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse with a chocolate ganache.
Delicious food, great service, nice friendly staff, not expensive at all for the quality & portion of the meal. Plenty of parking, near highway access and spacious. Sad part is they only have one restroom.
I love it here so much. Have been coming since I was a child and it never stops being perfect. They seem to train the staff very well. Coming here is such a treat. Hannah was an excellent server.
Me and my family's go to restaurant!! Never had a bad meal here and hitting up Happy Hour is a must. Everything was spot on...fantastic!!! With the Happy Hour menu we got the Nachos ($7.25). Clam and Chaurice Pizza ($10.25) and Crispy Chicken Wings ($9) which were huge. Off the main menu, the burger ($15) and Chicken Parm Special ($24 I think) dishes were great. The chicken was thick and so flavorful. Chardonnay's doesn't miss.
Possibly one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. I have been going to Chardonnay's since my 20's. 20 years later, and the food is just as amazing, as well as the service. I have NEVER, in all my years of going here, had a bad experience with the food or the service. If I had one word to sum up Chardonnay's its quality. Quality food, quality service, quality atmosphere. The drinks are always great, the seafood always fresh. We love the calamari, the scallops, the wedge salad, the tuna, the steaks, actually everything I've ever had there has been delicious, even the after dinner drinks and desserts, if you have room for them! Chardonnay's has always been my special place for the perfect date night, or girl's night out. The service is amazing-they never ever make you feel rushed, and are very attentive to you. Even now, with the Covid restrictions of a 90 minute table time, it still gives you ample time to enjoy a delicious drink and conversation, and your meal, without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation (yes, it's that good that you need a reservation.) Then choose a quality person along to enjoy a quality experience. You won't be disappointed!
The food and service were amazing. The atmosphere was perfect celebrating my mother’s birthday. The waitress Lisa was awesome polite nice and friendly. Can’t wait to return.
Whenever I come back home to Rhode Island to visit I always stop by Chardonnay's and get the Lobster Cardinale and the Melba Pizza for dessert. It's so delicious!! Can y'all just open up a location in Georgia?? 😁
Super happy to enjoy at the bar! The food was great, generous fresh portions and delish. Service at the bar was a little distracted, needs a little more personalization.
Went to grab a bite to eat as well as having one of their special cocktails. Food and drinks were great, but our server was what set our experience apart from dining elsewhere. She was so attentive and pleasant....such a rare find these days! It happened to be her last day because she was going away for school. ♥️
This was our first time here, we came to celebrate my husband's birthday. We ordered the Blood Orange Cosmo, which was fantastic! We Shared the Fig & arugula flatbread appetizer, it was soo tasty! For the entrees my husband got the pasta with lobster, scallop & shrimp in a cognac cream sauce, it was excellent. I got the filet with mashed & sautéed veggies. The steak was so tender, delicious & cooked perfectly. For desert we shared the Banana cream pie, it was outstanding! Our sever, Rubin was friendly, very accommodating, knowledgeable of the menu & professional. Julie, the hostess, greeted us with a smile & seated us promptly & even returned to our table several times, to make sure our first time at Chardonay was great. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! We loved everything about this place. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for making our birthday celebration memorable! Rachel & Jim
Ok, so first time here, I will say the shrimp scampi pizza is freaking aweaome!! So will come back here. We gave compliments to the chef through our waiter. Omg soo..... gooodddd
Just want to say this first before moving onto the food... Our waiter Nate was amazingly great! Made sure we got what we needed, recommended drinks, food, and attentive to our table. Definitely requesting him everytime. To make things even more delightful the restaurant manager personally introduced himself and gave us a little background of the restaurant and his personal story. This dish is called "Pork Oso Bucco with Risotto" when I say this bad boy was tender to the touch!!! Maybe one of the best dishes I've ever had dining in restaurants in my lifetime. I'd recommend it with a 15 out of 10 lol
Excellent restaurant. They have the best lobster, shrimp, and scallop's pasta cooked in a delicious pink wine sauce (my favorite). I mean everything I've tried there is delicious. Prices are very reasonable too. Don't forget to ask for their huge margaritas they also have. They very good too.
We went for our 30th Anniversary! My Ribeye and salmon were delicious! Hubby got pizza and it was very yummy as always. This place always has great food and service!
First time visit , was seated right away and service was fantastic the rest of the night .
Amazing atmosphere, consistently excellent dishes. We love Chardonnay’s!
The food was really good here. Clams and chicken wings to start and Jambalaya & kebabs for the Main course. It was delicious
Took my wife here for her birthday and the Food was excellent and our waitress was superb. We had the stuffed filet of sole with a side of asparagus and sweet potatoes and the other entrée was lamb shank with a side of mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. For dessert we had there homemade peanut butter pie in a chocolate shell and banana cream pie. Everything was top notch cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back again.
Food and Service were 5 Star! Food was delicious and the service is so detailed and personal. I can’t believe I have never been here before. Now we’ve been 3 times this month alone. We lived in NY and Boston now south shore for 2 years and out of many years of eating and tasting food at a variety of locations. This place is a well deserved 5 star restaurant. I was hesitant because of some of the reviews. But perception is everything. Please ignore what seems to be local “Karen’s” very ill-intended (and after visiting a few times I am sure now, are) false reviews. It can be so hurtful to a local business. Give this place a treat for yourself if you’ve never been.
Food and service was great! Had a salad with pineapple vinaigrette and it was delicious! We request Remy each time we dine. She is always attentive and provides great service
WOW! This was the best food I have enjoyed in a long time! We had a large table of 14 people and every single person loved what they ordered. The service was also really good (waitress Nicole) and we loved the atmosphere inside. Some of the highlights of the menu for us included the calamari, cheese stuffed meatball, Brussels sprouts (best I’ve had), the faroe island salmon dish, the lobster ravioli (best I’ve ever had - fresh pasta and loaded with so much lobster), the banana cream pie! Can’t wait to go back and try more because I am convinced you can’t go wrong with anything off the menu!
The food & drinks were great! We started with the special street corn pizza, which was really good. The lobster cardinale was absolutely delicious, as was the Dubai chocolate martini and creme brulee. The prices weren’t too expensive and the portions were decent. I’ll definitely be back!
Great food great atmosphere. The service provided by our server was great. The only thing I didn't like was the credit card service charge they tack on at the end. They try to sneak it in at the end so be careful. I forgot what they called it but my wife thought it was the added tip. I questioned it to be sure so we don't cheat the server out of earned money.
The chicken Marcella came with mashed potatoes, delicious. The atmosphere is always exceptional and so is the staff. I have never had a bad experience there. And they have my favorite dessert creme brulee I can't find in any restaurant nearby....make reservations for sure. Enjoy!
We made reservations for 8 people at 5:15pm. The table was ready and we were sat immediately. Our server was knowledgeable and kept the food and drinks coming in a timely manner. We ordered appetizers, entrees and desserts and everything was absolutely delicious. I would definitely eat there again. The only issue I had was the gratuity was included and when my card was run there was no option to add additional tip, thankfully I had some cash on me.
I was at Chardonnay's for a family gathering in late November. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. My only issue was the music. It was so loud, we couldn't hear the person next to us, never mind the one at the other end of the table. Please consider lowering the volume so people who come to be with friends and family are able to converse normally. Thanks.
Our first time here 😀 during restaurant week. The food was delicious. I had the Pork tenderloin delicious. My wife had the chicken Marsala delicious. The service was great. Recommend a trip to eat .
The place is good but they didn't pay attention in my request that was my birthday! The table was so simple not even a happy birthday note!! Things like that making the place more attractive to go!!"
Everything here tasted amazing. I would definitely come back. However, my chicken dish was served undercooked slightly pink. That being said, it was still fantastic.
The appetizers were delicious and actually better and tastier than the entrees. The short rib with polenta cake was excellent, as the meat was tender and the sauce was very flavorful. The Lobster Cardnel had a good sauce but the shrimp and scallop were not cooked well. However the lobster was good. My boyfriend loved his lobster Mac n cheese appetizer but he thought the blackened chicken was just okay. The waiter was very nice and attentive and we would like to go back and try more of their small dishes.
Very nice place, The appetizers were delicious. My husband had a burger and fries, the burger was a little too pink for his liking but we didn't mention it and he still ate it and I had the braised beef with polenta, very tasty my only issue is that the polenta became cold kinda quickly and I think part of the reason is that we were sat at a table next to a window and it was drafty. The server was on point the whole evening and very nice.
The inside of chardonnay's is gorgeous- very cozy feel. Social distancing seemed fine. It was very busy when I was there for a 6pm dinner, so it was loud. The blackened Sword was a 10. Seafood pasta special was a 10. Calamari was very chewy, I would not get it again. Sangria was mostly juice and very very little red wine. The margarita tasted like sour mix- I sent it back for a "skinny" margarita which was classic made, with actual lime juice which was great. Service was very good.
The food at Chardonnay's is always good. My NY steak tasted really good and the mashed potatoes delicious. My wife had the daily special with chicken and it tasted amazing..
Always been a go to for me in my life and brought my girlfriend for the first time there. Everything tasted amazing, however did have to send her burger back as it was undercooked. Flavors are always on point and Sarah our server was amazing. For dessert the Pizza is a must. Love the tunes that play as we eat (simple classic Sinatra and the like)
My mom and I sat at the bar and the service was not the best. We had to ask one of the bartenders if she could take our meal order because we were all set with our appetizer and no one had asked us what we wanted. They also offered us bread right before our meals came out and gave us the salt and pepper when we were all set with our meals. I get it if the bartenders are busy, but there wasn’t an overwhelming bunch of people at the bar. The sangria was a generous size for the price so that was a plus. Maybe we will come back for a second time to try some other plates out.
Nice restaurant, only issue is that either the waiting staff or kitchen got my order wrong the first time so they had to take it back. When I got the right dish my pork chop was too well done even when I asked for it to be medium well done but my boyfriend says his turkey dinner was good. Will give them the benefit of the doubt since it was Thanksgiving.
They take care the regulars. I watched drinks go to other customers even though I had ordered before them. It was so annoying to repeat my drink order more than once. It wasn't that busy either. 😕
-Picked up take out order for myself and grandkids. Wow has this place gone downhill. I ordered the Kabob Trio for myself and received wonderful olive oil dressing (quality was evident) and jazmin rice (good as usual). However, ONLY received 1 skewer of grilled protein and veggies. (consisted of 2 sirloin tips, 1 yes only 1 scallop and 2 shrimps for $32)! Are u kidding me?? The kids' salmon was dry with no butter sauce, and sweet potatoe fries were burnt. Oh and the mozzarella sticks weren't even mozzarella sticks, they were crusty bread crumbs with literally minimal dried up cheese inside. Nothing that any upscale restaurant would ever serve. Looked like something out of the frozen food section. Even Chillis or Applebee's wouldn't serve this quality of food. Wow so shocked. With this kind of quality and portions, u are competing with fast food, time for you to lower ur prices OR level up ur game. And yes, I know ur prices have gone up @25% already. I'm very aware of your pre -Covid menu and prices.
Totally mobbed on Margarita Monday, so I'm sure the staff was completely overwhelmed. When this happens and it's reflected in the meal, you comp. Not difficult. I ordered a margarita, expecting to get a margarita. I normally would stay away from a Seekonk margarita, but when the evening calls for a promo, you gotta dive in. I got the ingredients (I think) in a large whiskey glass with ice. So...not a margarita. Do you usually get ice in yours? I wouldn't know, I only got it for the cheap apps. But the giant margarita glasses that I saw pass the table all night would lead me to believe that I'd been hoodwinked. That was $14. I could have had my oil changed (with a coupon, of course) for that price. Or destroyed my colon at Wrights Farm with enough change for one of those chicken ice cream jimmy roll things. I ordered a shrimp cocktail app with that for $2 (promo), it never came. I mentioned that at the end of the night and asked for the nachos instead to go. I figured that a plate of nachos is worth more than one jumbo shrimp. Maybe. They came in a pizza box on wax paper. Ever tried to cook nachos on paper? I had to throw 50% of it away, it all stuck to the paper. Perhaps an investment into some tin foil would project the company in a positive linear path on the graph. My meal was the kabob trio (steak, scallops, shrimp) with a salad and rice. No rice was introduced to my plate at any point during the meal, it must have been shy. I didn't realize until after because I was laughing too hard at the portion size. For $27, you have to include more than two pieces of steak, two scallops, and three shrimp. I'd have paid no more than $12 for what I was given. I'm glad I wasted my Monday night out. I'm sure the kitchen was working their tails off, I know the wait staff was. But in the end when you're that bad, you have to recognize it and own it. I'm totally cool with giving a place a second chance during a slower night. They didn't seem too concerned with how we perceived the place, so now I have to pass along my perception. I'll go to the Price Rite down the street next time. At least if they screw up, it'll be cheap.
Not a great experience.. chose other places steak ordered med well received it rare management offered dessert or a drink .. didn’t eat steak had to purchase anyway … stay away!
Went there for dinner on 9.19.25, and was served RAW CHICKEN FRANCESE, not once, but TWICE. When I initially told my waitress, Amy, of the problem, she told me she would have the chef cook the chicken on my plate longer. I told her that it was unacceptable and I wanted a whole new dish made as everything was now contaminated with RAW CHICKEN juice. She told me she would inform the “chef”. That was the last we saw of the waitress, Amy. She never came back and refilled drinks or asked if anyone needed anything. The manager came over, apologized for the issue, and informed me that the chef was preparing a new dish (like I should be honored). The manager brought over the “chef” prepared second plate and again apologized for the initial issue. I cut open the chicken and… IT WAS STILL RAW!. I walked it back over to the manager and showed him the new plate still contained RAW CHICKEN. I told him I did not want anything additional to eat. I was disgusted. He “graciously” took my meal off the bill and, charged for everything else, including my drink. When he tried to talk to me about the chef again, I very plainly told him that whomever they had in back was no chef because I could not see a chef being unable to cook chicken. The manager told me he was doing his best and was only responsible for the hospitality side of the house- like somehow I should have pity on him. Unfortunately, I had eaten some of the chicken from the first plate before I realized it was raw. My daughter also ordered the same meal and unfortunately ate over half of a breast of chicken before I checked hers. It seemed fine but hope and pray we do not get sick. They tried to give me a gift card to “use next time” and I handed it right to the table across from us. I will not be back. I also called the health inspector to let them know of my experience in the event I get sick. Also, when we arrived, at 4:30pm, we were asked if we had reservations. When we responded, that we did not (looking around at an empty restaurant), we were told we had to sit at a hightop on the lounge. We said that was fine, even though we have twin 7 year olds and prefer NOT to sit in the bar area. When we left, there were still many tables in the dining room open.
