If there’s a better coffee shop in South Pasadena, let me know. I think this is the best one. You gotta be a legit roaster to make legit coffee.
Great, The Best!!! Skilled and fantastic baristas and service!!! Excellent coffee!!! Good pastry selection. My favorites are a 3 shot whole milk large latte, and a black cold brew. Smooth and tasty. Raspberry scone is fantastic, and also the bacon cheese croissant.
I got coffee here when my dad was visiting and have dreamed about their coffee ever since. Every time I've stopped by, it has been consistently wonderful. The service is great. The building and the street are really cute. There's also free parking in a garage right across the street after 12 every day of the week. Otherwise, look for street parking.
Beautiful—also its 1.90 for an iced drip coffee.
This place is just fantastic. The coffee is great, pricing is exactly what you'd expect it to be. There is a small area to sit outside, on the lower floor, and then a great seating area up on the second floor to study or meet with friends. Past that, the owner was nice enough to allow me to use them for a stop on a fun little anniversary scavenger hunt! The entire team was great and everything went smoothy! Thanks a bunch!!
Friendly people, good vibes, and fits in well with the community. The lattes are tasty, as are the pastries. The banana flax muffin is my go-to, but all options look delectable. The workers know their stuff, and won't lead you astray. There is wi-fi here, and plenty of seating. Definitely come here, you won't be disappointed.
The staff is great. The coffee is both good and strong. I love that they carry Fosselmans Ice Cream and that they are open early. I wish they had a larger tea selection but it's all good.
Get the Flat White. You won’t regret it.
I love the old school charm of this coffee place which is located in the old section of South Pasadena. Sitting in front of the shop on the main street made me feel like I was not in LA anymore. Coffee was good.
Very cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Their drinks are amazing and they have Fosselman's ice cream. Get a scoop in your hot /cold beverage.
This place serves really good coffee at good quality. My husband and I went here for the first time we definitely recommend
Just had a breve latte, which was great. Visiting from out of town and came with friends, who love this spot. We sat upstairs and chatted for a bit. Other customers were mostly busy on their laptops, but were also friendly considerate.
Very cool spot, right by a metro station so you get to see a train 🚃 rumble by when you're in their second story window. Perfect for people watching, small gatherings, and getting quality work done on a book or laptop. The coffee was earthy, refreshing and flavorful so I was definitely going to bring a bag of their roast home with me too. And they even have 🍨 ice cream for affogatos and a scoop for a quick bite. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the ambiance was cute and I would gladly return here for all my remote work! Great job!!!
a homey vintage style coffee shop with outdoor and second floor seating overlooking mission street. this a coffee shop good for chilling, read a book or work.
I’ve been to the other location in Pasadena but this one had a better outdoor setup. I had their nitro and it was smooth and perfect for the morning. Lots of solid seating options and a great spot for breakfast. I think this was where they filmed parts of the Michael Myers movie too. I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items.
Love this place and everything it stands for! From sourcing their coffee ethically to supporting local artists and using the honor system! Great coffee and baked goods! I wish the service was slightly better yet I got them in their rush time Yet this place is everything I love about humanity So thank you for being the outsider serving coffee in real mugs in a world that only do to go cups! Thank you, count me as a regular from now on !
Jones Coffee Roasters (est 1993) is a family run coffee company in South Pasadena. This coffee shop is a two story building with brick exposed interior/exterior walls. Their atmosphere has a cool vibe, staff were competent and professional and drinks are reasonably priced. They have a compendious selection of coffee from blends to seasonal to decafs. Similarly, they have teas, mugs, and merch for sale. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seats. I have known this cafe for years but never really had the chance until now. I ordered a Cafe Au Lait (M) x whole milk. It was brewed great! Overall, I enjoyed my coffee and service. I’d definitely come back. I highly recommend them.
I had a short trip stopping in at the Burbank airport and really hoped I could find an alternative to Starbucks. Just a short walk past gate A3 and I saw Jones roasters. After a wonderful recommendation, I tried the Horchata cold brew, and it’s absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to come back through Burbank airport.
Delicious coffee & great service! Room upstairs to hang out.
Coffee shop near the tracks with lots of quirky interior decor. Plenty of outdoor seating (shaded and not), and a few indoor seating as well.
One of my favorite places to site and read while sipping a latte.
Super cute neighborhood cafe w sufficient outdoor seating and plenty of seating upstairs for workspace. Fair trade family sourced coffee.
Great little place for coffee, a quick bite, and music on weekends.

Very cute outdoor setting. They have happy hour from 3-5pm for ice cream. Coffee isn’t bad also
If you want excellent coffee without the pretentious vibe, Jones delivers. Their house roast is bold but smooth, and they sell beans if you want to brew at home. The industrial-style space has a laid-back community feel. Plenty of parking, which is rare in Pasadena. A solid neighborhood staple
I just had an amazing latte from Jones Coffee made by Isabelle and equally awesome co workers Julio and Kristin, (Hope I got that name right) I always come here when I visit South Pasadena.

Really cute place, small, with seating outside. I loved the artwork on the walls. Was observing while I was waiting for my iced latte. Coffee has a good, good, flavor, every earthy. They have unique ice. Different than I've experienced at other places. Choices of non-dairy milks as well.
This used to be under another ownership. It was a place where people could gather up to 9pm, even 10pm, now it closes at 5pm. Jones coffee roasters offers good coffee and nice atmosphere, including live music. It now features an extra terrace to help with social distancing.
Glad they finally opened an south Pasadena store which is an welcome addition to the area. Coffee taste good like the original jones coffee in Pasadena. In addition to coffee they also serve ice cream. There are outdoor seating as well as seat on the 2nd floor. For people who r remember Buster's coffee, jones keep the interior mostly unchanged. Overall it's an enjoyable experience. Will be back again.
Came in and looked around. A bit cramped. Neither the atmosphere nor the staff are particularly welcoming. Ordered a cortado. Not bad at all.
I wandered over here on a Saturday morning. They were across from the thrift/vintage and antique shops. Baristas were friendly. I was surprised to see they offer Fosselman's ice cream here! I got an iced latte with oat milk that was pretty good. No complaints there. There isn't much seating on the bottom floor, but there is plenty of seating upstairs. The bathroom is also upstairs and has an open window 0_o. They have lots of outdoor seating. It's a pretty peaceful place to read a book or journal or sketch here. Imagine old flimsy wooden chairs that need new paint jobs. Parking - I found free street parking in a residential area.
such a cute and friendly spot!! they gave our dog a pup cup and she went to town. will definitely be back here!

I like this cafe; it's a nice place to work at! However, I noticed that the AC upstairs doesn't work properly in 90 degrees Fahrenheit, which can be uncomfortable. Additionally, there aren't many available seats downstairs, which can be a bit inconvenient during busy times!
@Jones - Can you please carry some gluten free baked goods? Very limited for us GF folks and so we can’t really go here much. Cute otherwise
I dont usually go, but today I went into Jones coffee shop for a latte and pastery. The young man cashier was very pleasant and helpful; he answered my questions about the coffee and pastries. My displeasure was with the young woman who made the coffee. She did not have good customer service. Since I'm new to the shop, I didn't know that we need to cover our own coffee and take all the other needed pieces. I waited patiently for her to break from her conversation with another customer to inform me about my coffee was ready for me to take, I was very clearly waiting besides the man with whom she was conversing. After waiting awkwardly for a while I asked if that was my coffee and finished assembling it.

The coffee and atmosphere are lovely. The staff are um…weirdly disconnected. I smiled at someone and they side eyed me. I was like oof.
Great coffee and food. Though I left disappointed with the service received. Walked in with no line on a Saturday morning with my fiancé. We received no greeting from staff and cold stares. While I was grabbing a seat, my fiancé asked a question about her drink and Baristas responded back with poor attitude. When my drink was ready, I made a friendly comment complimenting the quick service and baristas responded to me with a snarky attitude. We both left disappointed and felt unwelcomed. Definitely not coming back again.
Not very friendly. Latina worker was very rude so we just left, was weird.
This google listing page says Jones has a wheelchair accessible restroom when the restroom is upstairs—up a full flight of stairs. I was here with my disabled friend and getting up the stairs was extremely difficult for her. Please change this google listing. We even asked the barista if there was another restroom and they said no, that we would have to go elsewhere. This is a good coffee shop otherwise but we would have gone elsewhere had this google listing been accurate. Please change it for the sake of others.

Just went in to this coffee shop and the lady working the cashier was extremely rude when ordering basic coffee and some pastries and she gave my husband a nasty dirty look for no reason. The atmosphere was so unwelcoming. Coffee was also horrendous. What a waste of money and energy. It felt like we were burdening her from doing her freaking job.
We had a comically bad experience this morning when the barista poured cold milk in our single espresso. When we took it back, he got oddly defensive and said "Well, you ordered wrong." When asked why he was being rude, he slammed the milk carton on the counter and "I don't care!". "Don't tell us, email the manager," said the other barista. What petulant little men. Our latte was also not very good. Bitter and lukewarm, not unlike the barista. And the croissant was from yesterday. Stale and dry. Great location though, and the lady who took our order seemed nice. So to sum up Jones Coffee Roasters in South Pas: pretty awful coffee combined with god-awful service will leave a bad taste in your mouth. There are other, better independents in the area.
Jones SP. Great coffee, but deplorable staff. Two cashiers loudly mocked me when I asked about washing my hands. With their washrooms out of order, I told them I’d be back after using a washroom across the street. As I gathered my laptop, I clearly heard them making fun of me. When I approached the counter to confront them, a supervisor annoyingly said she told them to stop. I informed her the behavior is unacceptable and uncalled for. Thank you cashiers for deciding the review for me!

Was not what I expected after seeing all the good reviews. Had 2 drinks 1 was good the other was nasty. The lady taking my order had a face of like she didn’t want to be there and never smiled just said are you ready to order. Vibe was definitely not welcoming. One and done
