Best Thai Food in Downtown South San Francisco! This restaurant has a great ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food. We enjoyed the chicken satay, pepper chicken, chicken pad see ew, and sticky rice with mango and everything was fantastic! I had never tried Thai cold coffee before, and the friendly server kindly offered me a sample and it was amazing! If you’re near SFO, San Francisco, or anywhere in the Peninsula, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

amazing hospitality and quick service. clean restaurant and clean bathroom. prices were appropriate and not so expensive as other places in the area for a sit down restaurant. parking was also not horrible as there are a lot of metered curb parking around. i went to dine in and they also offer a free salad appetizer, which was amazing! the menu offered a variety of thai dishes, and their lunch special was a great deal. i highly recommend ordering from here if you’re in the area and want high quality food for an affordable price.

The best Thai restaurant in Bay Area so far! Foods were delicious. Reasonable prices in terms of big portions. Nice decorations. Spacious and clean. Great service. Noy is super friendly and talkative, he made our dinner more fun! We always try to avoid having a dinner in South San Francisco because parking is tough in the neighborhood. But we will definitely come back because of this restaurant.

Everything is delicious! Had the calamari steak salad, seafood delight and bbq chicken. The brown rice is cooked so fresh and fluffy. All seafood was cooked just enough and the bbq chicken has a nice sauce :)

Excellent! Authentic Thai cuisine with a nostalgic flair! The basil chicken, crab fried rice and shrimp with calamari was Delicious! Atmosphere was enlightened with gemed elephant portraits. The customer service was great. Highly recommend visiting. 💖💯💐💐

This is a a really cozy spot with a welcoming ambience! I’ve been here several times and their food is not only amazing but also super aesthetically appealing. Their lunch combo portions would easily suffice 2 meals a day! I loved both their Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee but they are definitely more on the sweeter side.

Lovely place, very clean and presentable. Waiters were both very friendly and quick to attend. Food came quickly and was well presented. Loved the peanut sauce (husband and I). We ordered the prawn satay and Raman with side rice. So so good.. highly recommend. They also had our favorite wine 🍷 I love the side dishes of jalapeños, hot sauces and spicy things 😍

The place was a great little find! Nicely decorated inside, clean and staff was friendly. We always I get a Deep Fried Egg Rolls, one Beef Salad and one Chicken Phad Thai. It was all wonderful! Beautifully presented, and the taste was delicious. I'd definitely come back 👍😊🍴

On the strip in South San Francisco SSF. Interior is spacious and clean. Staff are nice. Full bar. Tried the pad Thai and beef spicy noodles. Food portion was nice. Pad Thai was a little dry, beef noodle was juicy and spicy really good. My favorite was the coconut milk lemon grass soup. Tart and delicious. I say check it out.

Ordered take out and food was ready for pick up within 20-25 mins. The staff was quite courteous. The food overall is great and the restaurant is quite generous with the portion of their dishes, when compared to other Thai restaurants. For a group of 4 adults, we ordered Shrimp Tom Yum Soup, Shrimp Roll, Beef & Shrimp Fried Rice & Chicken Red Curry. The amount of food was good for 5 (even 6 maybe). All the items were good and this establishment is definitely worth a visit.

Thai Satay offers an average dining experience with decent food but disappointing service. Tom Yum Soup: The Tom Yum Soup was overly coconut-y, which threw off the balance of flavors. The spice didn’t blend well with the heavy coconut base, though the overall taste was still decent. It’s not what I’d expect from a well-balanced Tom Yum. Pad Thai: The Pad Thai was just okay – nothing memorable or outstanding. It’s your typical Pad Thai that doesn’t stand out in any way. Service: Unfortunately, the service was a bit rude, which took away from the overall experience. It’s something they could improve to make the visit more enjoyable. Ambience: On the positive side, the ambience was good – comfortable and inviting, making it a pleasant place to sit and dine. While the ambience is nice, the food and service didn’t leave a strong impression. Thai Satay is okay for a quick meal, but it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to revisit.

I am really surprised that this restaurant receives such good reviews. Either that, or I’m surprised my delivery food was very bad. Each one of my food item did not meet expectation. Mango sticky rice was unlike the pictures at all, mango is nearly unripe and very pale in flesh. I understand if mangoes are out of season. However the regular menu is not tasting any better. Pad Kee Mao is lacking flavors and not salty enough. Thai iced tea is way too sweet. Sorry to say but for this is the worst Thai food I have ever had. Cannot recommend.
