Today there are many options when trying to select a fine dinning experience for a large group. Having tried many of them Calabrese in Southlake is by far the best option for both business gatherings as well as friends and family. Starting with the event planner - Heather - she is very responsive, well organized and willing to customize the experience as needed. The menu it is extortionary.............. Italian selections as well as Mediterranean options and some of the best veal and steaks in town. The servers are well trained and all have a very pleasant and approachable demeanors. Simply terrific people!! The ambiance is perfect.............not to loud and a pleasant buzz through out the facility. Valet service is professional and always ready to facilitate the arrival and departure. Finally, it is, in my opinion, a world class organization with a great chef, terrific staff and focused management team . Enjoy the experience! Tom Del Valle

Great and beautiful restaurant. I had the scallops and it was very delicious plate, the potatoes were so good. They do amazing drinks-martinis and margaritas. I sat at the bar and had great service. The bathroom was very clean. Top service for a great price.

We just moved to the area and are so excited to continue dining and enjoying all the great food and wines here with five star service and fabulous food. Amazing up scale Italian restaurant. I booked a reservation for two on the open table app for my wife and I’s wedding anniversary. I put a note in my reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we walked through the door and gave our name we were wished a happy anniversary. 3 different managers made it a point to stop by our table and wish us a happy anniversary. They even gave us a card and had the entire staff sign it! The service was seriously top notch. The staff at this establishment are extremely professional, polite and courteous. They pay attention to detail. Our experience from start to finish seriously felt 5 star the entire time. The food was absolutely cooked to perfection. They have chefs bring your food out to you from the kitchen. We had their fried calamari for an appetizer and it was cooked to perfection. It wasn’t chewy at all. We also got an order of bread and my wife got a house salad which came in a very big bowl and she was fresh as can be and crisp. For our entrees we both had their chicken parmigiana. Once again the chefs did not disappoint. The chicken was crisp and moist and cooked to perfection. They had the right amount of sauce and spaghetti. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly and tossed in the sauce before serving. Perfectly seasoned dish and well balanced. When it came time for desert we split their double chocolate cake. They put it on a plate and wrote happy anniversary in chocolate for us and the presentation was superb. As for the double chocolate cake it was to die for. So rich, so delicious, it tasted like fudge. We both highly highly recommend Calabrese to anyone who is looking to celebrate a special occasion because they will truly make that celebration a special one and a memorable one.

Excellent upscale Italian restaurant. The interior layout is well decorated and beautiful to behold. The food portions are just right and the food itself is flavorful. The service is also very good. The staff is welcoming and our waiter was attentive and friendly. Overall, it’s a great choice for those wanting a special dinner.

My husband and I had a nice time celebrating my birthday. Was impressed that when we walked in the receptionist immediately acknowledged it was my birthday, same with our server, Tyler. Received a very thoughtful happy birthday card signed by the staff. Food was very nice with some room for improvement, coming from a New York Italian, (Calabrian at that) my standards are pretty high. Pasta was cooked nicely. I thought the birthday lemon tiramisu would have been strange, but it was actually really delicious! Definitely recommend trying it! One of our favorite parts of the night was our server, Tyler. We enjoyed his service and conversation. Thanks for making our night special! Will definitely go back at some point.

I took my wife here for our second anniversary a few weeks back. I made a reservation and was seated promptly. The staff even made a card for us and our waiter wished us a happy anniversary. The service and the food were excellent, I highly recommend any seafood dish! A few times a man who appeared to be the owner checked in with us to see how our food was. They even called us the next day to check in with us, though i was unable to answer the call. They have a great environment and though it is the higher end on the price range and experience, it is truly worth it to celebrate someone you love or even to treat yourself.

I have tasked myself with seeking the perfect Italian restaurant in DFW as it is my favorite cuisine. I think we found it tonight.🌟 An absolute superb culinary experience! Service was impeccable! Blake our server was a pro! He was extremely attentive to us at all times. My husband and I both had the lasagna which was delicious. For dessert we had the carrot cake which was a dream🙂 The house bread with the butter and oil toppings was such a nice touch. Ambiance is so refined and elegant which is what we want for a date night or special celebration. I cannot recommend Calabrese enough. Please maintain these excellent, exceptional, and impeccable dining standards.

Review for valentine’s day 2026! There was quite a wait for everyone with reservations which is understandable! they were offering champagne but skipped passed me and my boyfriend saying “absolutely not” to which we approached him and gave him are IDS and got some. (not a big deal but it was his flippant attitude that was off putting) We then got sat in the up stairs out door area which was beautiful but incredibly cold. We asked to change the temperature to be more comfortable multiple times but it never seemed to happen even after multiple people complained and even moved. The ambience was great until a manager put an ipad on a cabinet to play music that unfortunately was not ad free. Food was good meatball appetizer was amazing but calamari was rubbery. Wild boar Bolognese was just ok and the braised short rib was decent but a way smaller portion than what was told. dessert was AMAZING!!. Our server was ok, doing her best but just coming and going not really interacting other than to ask our order. Definitely not worth 96$ per person (only includes food not any drinks even soft drinks) we’ve dined before and had a near perfect experience we left this time wishing we had chosen somewhere else.
