I really hope this gem does well. After visiting Italy for the first time two months ago, I was so excited that we now have such an authentic restaurant in our own backyard. The food was delicious and the staff was just as friendly and welcoming as they were in Italy!🇮🇹

Finally authentic Italian in SPB. It is a cozy, nicely decorated bistro feel. The food is absolutely amazing. Nice wine list and friendly staff. I would highly recommend giving this place a try. Definitely will be coming back!

What a wonderful meal served by Juliana and Heather! The service began with a wonderful bread and sundried tomato spread. The tortellini with mushrooms and peas came with a delicate cream sauce. My husband has the veal parm with pasta, which was a perfect portion size and had a tangy marina. So glad that this place opened as a more upscale alternative to the existing family-style pizza restaurants around the neighborhood. Can't wait to return to order the fish!

This Italian restaurant is incredible from beginning to end. The entryway is warm and welcoming, and everything that follows—from the food to the service to the ambiance—is absolutely top-notch.

Enjoyed an excellent dinner with friends at this friendly new restaurant in SPB. The antipasti we tried were all exceptional, highly recommend the Mussels all Tarantina, Caponata, and Salumi Misti. I had the saltimbocca alla Romana which was excellent, and my wife's carbonara was next level. However if you can only go once in your life (sorry about that!) lasagna and Scampi Dolci Vita (pictured) are some of the the best Italian food eaten in or out of Italy 🇮🇹. Make sure you ask for the shells off the shrimp 🦐 much easier to eat. La Dolce Vita Trattoria has elevated the dining experience on SPB. We are grateful you are here! 🍷🥂

The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was outstanding!!! The food was made with love and I haven’t had an experience this amazing at a restaurant before. If you are looking for a nice authentic Italian restaurant this is the place to go. Perfect for a dress up after the beach kind of day or any special occasion or just because. The menu was extensive with many options there is something for everybody. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

This place was literally amazing, ate there tonight with my family. This restaurant felt like a family cooking for you in the comfort of their home. The food was amazing and felt genuine to Italian culture while also having a comfortable place to sit with amazing service. The gentleman serving us was named Nicholas and he was incredibly skilled and polite. 10/10 would eat at again.

Juliana was our server. She was amazing. If you are searching for an authentic Italian restaurant with a family feel look no further. The food an atmosphere were excellent, and we will visit again. Thank you for making this Italian feel like he was in Italy. Grazie.

Wow!!! This was so unexpected. Delicious Italian food right by the beach. According to our wonderful server, Julianna, most of the staff are from Italy. The food was divine - from the complimentary bread with sun-dried tomatoes, to the delicious house wine, the lobster bisque, and the pastas - everything we ate was outstanding. Julianna brought us complimentary house made limoncello after our meal, which was a lovely touch. I brought home the limoncello cheesecake because I was so stuffed. I took a small bite, and it was divine as well. From the food, to the service, to the relaxing atmosphere, this restaurant is top-notch. I certainly wish we lived closer.

So pleasantly surprised. Have not had a good meal locally in a very long time. My husband is Italian and very picky as all 4 of us are. Service was perfect and extremely nice. Food went above any expectations. Definitely recommend the best lasagna I have ever tasted besides nanny’s. Veal parm, Carbonara were cooked to perfection and my husband had a seafood dish he enjoyed. Do not have to leave the beach area for a great meal anymore. Thank you for a great dining experience. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful gluten-free dinner here last night with Corey as our waiter. He was very knowledgeable about the GF dishes and everyone was friendly and helpful. Bobbie had the locally made pasta with marinara sauce which we both agreed was delicious. I had the veal with wine sauce, also quite good. They also have a very fine collection of wine. This is now a new favorite place during our St. Petersburg vacation.

Our server, Nicholas, really made our experience special! He helped us navigate the fantastic Italian wine list and his culinary expertise showed in the recommendations about the menu; they were spot on. The food was wonderful, from the freshness and perfectly dressed salad to the rich and deeply savory tortellini with bolognese, among the best we’ve ever had. The atmosphere is charming and conducive to relaxing conversation, and the location on Gulf Blvd. makes it an ideal spot for both a classy and casual quality Italian dining experience. We look forward to returning often.

Spectacular food, service and atmosphere. From the moment we walked in and realized actual Italians run this restaurant, we knew we were in for something special. Tons of wine options but I opted for the aperol spritz which was perfectly refreshing. They do bread service with a delicious dried tomato spread. We got the burrata and Parma ham appetizer which we both loved. For our main dishes, I went with the amatriciana and my wife had the truffle ravioli. Both dishes transported us back to our honeymoon in Italy. The ravioli had actual truffle shaved over the top. It was rich and decadent. The service was also top notch. Very kind and attentive servers and everyone in the restaurant seemed to be happy. Special shout out to Gianna our server and the chef Luigi. If I lived near by I'd be here once a week. Unfortunately I do not so locals, don't let this place down! It's too special not to last.

It was an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, the pasta was outstanding, and the outdoor seating with the fire pit made the night even better. A special thanks to Nicholas for making the evening exceptional. Easily the best Italian restaurant in town . I’ll definitely be coming back!

VERY pleasantly surprised at the authentic flavors and presentation. My husband’s Italian family was visiting from N Jersey and they know Italian. La Dolce Vita was hands down their favorite of the 4 Italians we tried. Not cheap but not crazy expensive and really worth it! Their opening on St Pete Beach was fabulous, am so happy we finally have a real choice there. The storms destroyed so much but also brought us this gem.

Second time was better than the first! And the first was 10 stars.... This is possibly the best Italian restaurant in the Bay area. The service was impeccable and the food was unmatchable! Luigi's carbonara was absolutely decadent! Only matched by the incredible service by Juliana. We will absolutely be returning!

We had a wonderful experience! The staff was welcoming and very attentive! Our waiter, Nicholas was awesome! The food and atmosphere were terrific! The wine selection very upscale but reasonable! Definitely will make this restaurant one of our favorites!!!

Came here tonight with my brother and dad and had the best experience. The service, the atmosphere, and ESPECIALLY the food was incredible. I was born and raised here on the beach and haven’t been to a restaurant this great in a long time out here. It’s so excited to have this restaurant on the beach! Highly highly recommend and will be doing the same to friends and family.

Such a great restaurant with delicious authentic Italian food. Chef Luigi is amazing and even came out after we ate to chat. Our servers Julianna and Adam were wonderful and took the time to explain everything on the menu that we had questions about. We will definitely be back!!

Authentic Italian cuisine with excellent pasta dishes (stick with them as pastas are their forte). The vibe is lively and cool, and service is friendly and accommodating.

We came to dinner here on recommendations of friends. Our server was Nicola who is owners son. The whole dining experience was amazing. He was such an engaging individual really explaining some of the things they make in house, which is a lot. The service was amazing. The food was absolutely amazing as much as I hate to recommend them because my local spot will get too crowded, absolutely go experience this family owned restaurant

Been around the sun 73 times. Been to plenty of so called authentic Italian restaurants. Found only 2, La Dolce Vita Trattoria was number 2. From the greeting at the entrance to our exit, it was noteworthy experience. Niko was the consummate gentleman and helped us with our choices from the menu. The service was quick and the meals were nothing my wife and I had tasted before. They were off the charts. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. This place is so clean you could eat off the floor. We will definitely be bringing our out of town friends to dine here, as well as our go to place for Authentic Italian food! You won't waste a dining out night if you come into La Dolce Vita Trattoria. Cena felice.

Went here for my daughter’s birthday. Great atmosphere, restaurant is quaint, food was delicious, including appetizers. Savannah was a great server and helped us (with Nico’s input) choose two perfect bottles of wine to pair with our dinner options. Would absolutely recommend La Dolce Vita Trattoria for a date night, a special occasion or if you just truly enjoy an authentic Italian meal.

While visiting St Pete beach we found this amazing authentic Italian restaurant. We were promptly greeted by Savannah a very welcoming nice bubbly girl she was very knowledgeable of the menu and helped us with our selections. the food exceded my expectations the owner even stopped by our table and thanked us for coming.I will come back 1000 times that you so much

Very welcoming from the outside and immediately warm and friendly on the inside. We've dined here twice in past two weeks and are really enjoying it! If you are a fan of octopus (pulpo) mediterranean style you will want to try it. If you like freshly cooked lightly dusted calamari frittos you will be pleased. Pastas are al dente and perfectly seasoned/dressed. Lasagna amazing. By the glass wines are very nice selections and the red and white, both from montepulciano, are our favs so far. We have a long way to go on the menu and looking forward to the challenge Get out there and support this local purveyor of tasty plates!!! You wont be disappointed!!

I will still give a good starting. The food and our waitress Crista was awesome and the food and wine was great. However the Italian staff person that was acting like a manager was rude and made people along with my wife and I in comfortable. She was rude to the staff in front of the customers and also rude to some of the customers. If she worked for me I would have fired her on the spot. There is. O call for someone to test people like that. This bad for the restaurants business.

Menu price didn’t agree with charge on the bill. Chicken add on to salad says $5 charges $10… Everything else was very good a bit pricy.

Very nice place ,servers were knowledgeable,friendly and attentive. The burratta appetizer with prosciutto was excellent. My main of chicken Marsala was very flavorful and tender. House wine by the glass was very good . Happy addition to S P B food scene.

Amazing selection of vine. We were so excited when we realized all the waitstaff was Italian. Always a good sign. Food was OK. Everything was fresh but I did not care for the red sauce. For me, the sauce was tart with no depth to the flavor. Ice bucket left in between tables so I had to scoot out of the booth at opposite end to leave. Staff very young.

The food was utterly disappointing. It was excessively salty, leaving me feeling sick the next day. I ordered paper-thin veal and drowned in salt, and I found the pasta inedible after just one bite. Even the bread was old and dry. Overall, I was highly dissatisfied with my experience.

Ordered my food through the toast app via Curbside pickup. They did not give my food curbside by my car and I had to go inside to pick it up. No to-go silverware was given either. Server who I picked it up from was a little bit rude as well. Service for to go orders could be better.

We had the worst experience during Christmas, because our waitress took our order, but then never checked in afterwards. We had no idea what happened to her, we needed silverware at some point, but never got any. We literally couldn't eat the food. Kinda ruined the whole evening.

The food was really good, but the service was bad. I understand Saturday is busier than other days, they might have been understaffed. Thumbs up for the seafood pasta 🍝

My wife and I went for a romantic Valentine's dinner on Saturday, but both of us were violently ill from the seafood pasta. We got food poisoning that made us sick for the rest of our vacation. We're never eating Italian food again.

Food was not edible! Terrible…..so salty! I can’t believe this place would say it’s authentic Italian food because it was truly awful. There were a total of 4 of us and 2 of us literally had a bite. The service was not great. He tried to be funny but not funny after one dish got sent back 3 times just to get it right (still not edible).

Our experience wasn't good. Saturday we went out for my wife's birthday and she ordered lasagna, that was served still frozen in the middle. We couldn't get anyone's attention about it and ended up leaving hungry. The most expensive bread and water we've ever had!! Not going back.
