We reserved the celebration room for my sister’s bachelorette party and the service and food were all 5/5 amazing! I have a lot of allergies and they had a whole separate menu for me, which was awesome. Our group was quite large but our server, Becky, was absolutely extraordinary and was so kind. We were even given a free dessert for the bride-to-be, and it was so good. Definitely recommend this place: wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and amazing service.
This place was really good! We all loved the honey, pistachio, ricotta pizza, it was so delicious! Great service, and we really enjoyed sitting by the firepit outside to enjoy a drink after our meal.
There is no sign outside to show you where it is but it is next to the inn. The first time I went here was for my husband's Christmas party for work and everything was perfect. The food, service, atmosphere, drinks. Couldn't ask for anything better. The second time was still great but I decided to explore their menu more and the atmosphere was much different. The flash fried brussels were just amazing, I honestly couldn't stop eating them. My husband doesn't even like brussel sprouts and liked them. Their cheese curds are always spot on, so very lightly breaded and crispy with two dipping options. We both had the Hanger steak that comes with fries, a watercress salad topping, and a borderlaise sansthe mushrooms. I ordered mine medium well and received it medium rare. My husband ordered medium rare and his was the same temp and color as mine. HOWEVER, the peppery sear on the steak was perfect. There was extraordinary loud music playing outside, I believe there may have been an event going on so it was extremely loud in the restaurant, but I know it isn't always like that and it is beautiful inside. There is also outside dining available. A heads up for fellow disabled friends, if you are making a reservation let them know the type of table you would like ahead of time. There are only 2 or 3 booths I believe and they are not full booths. The chairs are hard and lean back at an angle so they are not back friendly, bring your back supports.
Excellent up scale place. Service was excellent. This is not a fast food service, it is a very relaxing atmosphere dining for business or dating. I am sure you could bring family reunion and other such events here too. That said, it isn't a casual place for babies or young children. Food and dessert was very, very good. Those I was with had little to complain. Mostly about personal taste. Such as the Fish & Chips coleslaw wasn't flavored as expected. Nothing wrong, just nothing special or as expected. Red small potatoes were excellent but over salted. Steakes were perfect! Pizza was fabulous. Difficult to wreck a dessert, as such these too were great.
The cheese curds here are to die for. They are soooooo good. The atmosphere is chill and the view of the golf course is the cherry on top♥️
This place was awesome. The grounds were beautiful, the buildings nice, the food and service was fantastic! Mark was our server and he was helpful and knowledgeable and helped us make our selections and gave us information about the place. We started with the award winning cheese curds and I had the signature burger which was fantastic. Absolutely loved this place.
Service was excellent at the bar. Order the pumpkin curry soup.
Wow! What a lovely, comfortable and tasty place to dine! Alex, our server very professional, punctual, friendly and welcoming(: I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with fries, the peaches and greens salad and a lemonade. My significant other had the Reuben sandwich. We also had cheese curds. My boyfriend was disappointed with the grease on bottom of curds. I feel it comes with the territory and they were delish. Everything I ordered was very tasty, fresh and filling. My boyfriend said the Reuben sandwich was OK...a 4 out of 10 (10 being the best) We both agreed that the prices were quite reasonable for the 'upscale' establishment it seems to be. Beautiful decor upon entrance. It was lovely and I would definitely visit again. LOVE the cow mural!! Love the different style in decor and architecture!
Amazing food and beer! They put sugar on their sweet potato fries and mushrooms on their veggie bean burgers which are delicious. We sat outside and the setting was absolutely gorgeous, right on the golf course. Inside is beautiful and newly redone as well with fireplaces and gorgeous architecture. The kitchen is open for viewing and you can see the pizza oven. I would recommend this place for a romantic dinner or for time with friends and family. 10/10.
Overall the experience was the best one we have had in awhile. The cheese curds were some of the best I have tasted. The mustard aioli was awesome with the cheese curds. The French fries were ok not the best we have tasted. The staff was friendly and wait staff was very attentive. The view from our high top table was fantastic and perfect for a birthday celebration.
So glad this place is finally open again! Excellent food, even better cocktails, and always friendly service. I was particularly impressed by the poached pear salad, as well as the salmon burger. Delicious!
I had an amazing dinner in America with my colleagues after work. The craft beer selection was outstanding, and it perfectly complemented the delicious chicken fry. The crispy coating and juicy meat were a delightful combination. The ambiance was lively, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would rate this experience a perfect 5 out of 5.
Amazing food! Great service! Wonderful beer selection! Great building and atmosphere! A favorite when traveling through the area, or visiting family. Kid friendly!
Had a fabulous dinner with my wife. Service was good, the place was very busy. Wisconsin old fashioned and salmon were incredible!
Loved the atmosphere! It was comfortable to eat and a relaxing environment. I enjoyed the food and service very much. Everything was quite reasonable too.
Good food in a welcoming environment
Great experience! Really good soup and salad. I got the New England Clam Chowder, Beet and Goats Cheese Salad with Salmon, and S’mores Cheesecake. And yes I ate it all.
Lovely property. Quiet, clean, comfortable, well appointed rooms with nice amenities. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. PJ's had nice food options and was good. Will stay here again.
PJ’s has great food, excellent service and a wonderful casual ambiance in a beautiful setting. We went for a casual date night on our way through town, but this would be a great setting for family meals, date nights, work lunches, etc. Our server was attentive and made recommendations based on what we were looking for. I had the Salmon and it was fantastic. Fresh and clearly made from scratch ingredients shine through in their dishes. We would highly recommend if you’re in the SP area.
Came here for the cheese curds - light and delicious. The chopped salad with salmon - also delicious. The building and grounds are beautiful!
Love it and so will you. Next special occasion (wouldn't take the kids if they're younger but you could if needed, its a large place .. very nice) amaZing food and views of the golf course. If I lived closer I'd go more often - zero complaints I loved it! Plus u can grab dessert to go and hang out by the fire pits outside - there's quite a few so you aren't sitting with a bunch of strangers. Definitely makes you feel as though you took a vacation somewhere 👍👍
Amazing people, THE HAVEST APPLE Margarita is the best drink I've ever had!! Just went back 3 weeks later, the truffle pizza Fire!
Very good food, appropriate wait time for quality. Great atmosphere. Ordered the short ribs, salmon, Bloody Mary and blackberry mojito. We made a reservation. Not sure if it’s necessary but we drove 45 minutes so weren’t going to take any chances. Will be back!
Very nice place to grab something to eat or just a drink while you lounge and visit with friends. Looks like a nice venue for a larger event as well.
Great drinks, service, atmosphere and food! The buttermilk chicken was delicious! Servers were timely and friendly
No doubt one of the tastiest, most classy, upscale dinning experience we have ever had. This is why we are constantly looking trying new places to find that gem 💎 of a place to visit. We'll this is that gem 💎 ✨️. We visited on a whim just after the new yr. Wow I cannot find the words to describe this place. Debated whether or not to let others know about this place. Wanted to keep it to myself. We'll here it is, go see for yourself. Just amazing 👏!!!
PJ’s has an amazing balance of fine dining at affordable prices, and a casual setting. The worst thing I can say about it is that most people I have talked to have been scared away because they think it is an establishment only for the rich. The prices are comparable to most other casual dining establishments out there, with a high quality, chef crafted seasonal menu. You can tell most of their menu items are farm fresh, as much as possible, with a curated touch across the board. We always love stopping here for both special occasions and the random Friday date night. Pictured is the braised pork shank with mashed potatoes and gravy. An insanely tender pork dish with some of the best mashed potatoes around. The only sad part is that I know at one point it will no longer be on the menu. However, I’m extremely excited to see what we get next. The kitchen and staff deserve an insane amount of praise. As Wisconsin Rapids locals, we will never debate about making a trip out to Point if PJ’s is on the agenda. Compliments all around, please just ignore the fact that I’m a Bears fan living in Wisco!
Love the place. Arrived and were going to wait for a table, get cocktails. Went outside. The friendliest server greeted us outside, and even though they were winding down on serving on the outside area. She cleaned off some spent glasses around the firepit and got it lit for us. So nice, just over the top friendly. Inside we went when table was ready, more great service. Everyone was just great. We visited twice last year, but plan on trying to visit at least twice more this year even tho the season is winding out. Thanks for a special night!
100% get the cheese curds. The reviews hyped them up, as did the waiting staff, and boy did they deliver. They're lighter, crispier, and more nuanced than many others I've had the privilege to enjoy, so absolutely worth it. Everything else we got was at minimum B tier and as high as A+ tier - beer selection, made-in-house sauces, classically executed American dishes. Just so excellent all around, would absolutely recommend and return.
1st time here. Great atmosphere. Spacious seating. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was very good. Totally forgot to get a picture of the cheese curds, but highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere! The outdoor patio was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a sunny afternoon — refreshing, comfortable, and a great complement to a delicious meal. Highly recommend for both the vibe and the cuisine.
We met for a business lunch. Our server was friendly and prompt. We all enjoyed our entrees.
Here for work (Sentry) staying at TheInn first time trying the food and it is a 10/10 Thanks to Jordan for bringing my food over it was hot and fresh! Customer service was amazing! Although I’m flying back to North Carolina tommorrow the food I have had here have not disappointed!!!!! Thank you!!!! The smash burger and tots was delicious….
U of WI Stevens Point family weekend 2025! First time dinning at PJs! It was very nice. Went with a large group (4 roomates at UWSP) and moms plus gma and sister! We had a very nice waiter. He had great suggestions for all questions! I tried the blueberry maple old fashion which was excellent! My first old fashion that I was able to drink! Wisconsin is truly the best place to have an old fashion! For Dinner I had the duck and couscous! Wonderful, very tender and delicious. Highly recommend. Dinner was lovely and everyone enjoyed their dinner! One extra special, you have to use the hand scrub in the bathroom! Thank you for a wonderful night PJs!
Best dining experience we've had in a really long time. Excellent food! Ava provided top notch service. Will definitely be back.
My family lives about 3-1/2 hours away from us and Steven's Point is a good meeting spot. What we struggle with is finding a place that is quieter. My husband has hearing issues; when I called for reservations, the staff was friendly and very accommodating to find an area that would accommodate us. Our service was excellent. The waiter was friendly and good timing with beverages and food. We all enjoyed our meals and after lunch, we decided it was a good place to go next time we get together. The atmosphere is warm and spacious. It was a great first experience.
We just happened upon this place because we wanted a Bloody Mary. They were fantastic and we had the BLTEC...excellent. Jameson our server was very pleasant. The grounds and decor was stunning. I wish we lived closer, this would be a regular spot for us.
Very friendly service and great food. I had the Sugar Shack burger and the bacon jelly was awesome. I also had the tator tots with the white truffle parmesan and those were pretty good. I did knock off a star as I ordered the burger medium and it was pretty well done. Still juicy though.
The hostess gail and our waiter griffin were both amazing. They kept checking us us and made small talk and were funny. The creepy cow picture needs to be fixed. 2 had one eye and the others had none. They were blacked out cuz someone didn't want a cow watching them eat. Which is stupid. It is disrespectful to the artist and horrible to look at. Bring back the eyes. The smoked chicken salad sandwich is gross.
PJ's was classy and nicely decorated. Fall mums and gourds throughout for the season, and a fire in the fireplace. They even had a complimentary salt scrub in the bathroom (to encourage purchasing it in the shop). The service was friendly, and the food was decent. I have one (admittedly petty) complaint: I ordered a Mediterranean salad, specifically because it listed toasted pine nuts as an ingredient, and I love toasted pine nuts. Except the pine nuts in the salad were raw. Womp womp. I mentioned it to the waitperson and she said she thought the menu said roasted, not toasted- but I'm here to tell you they were neither roasted or toasted. (Like I said- I know- petty.) I checked the menu on the way out. Toasted. Oh well. Either way, PJ's was a nice establishment, the server was overall great, and the food was good. It'd be a good place to bring your fancy business meeting.
Came in to get cheese and crackers to go and didn’t receive my order for over 30 minutes. Before my order was even placed the bartender decided that a phone call was more important than going back to the kitchen to make sure that the product didn’t contain an allergy. Instead of placing the customer on hold and actually taking care of the customer that was right in front of his face. I mean, I could understand if I was ordering actual food, but it literally was cheese and crackers. That is a 5 to 15 minute or less order. I come here a lot due to my job, but unfortunately, I will not be back personally because if this is how long I’m gonna be waiting for basic cheese and crackers then why would I wanna come back for food?
The service was pleasant, but the food was unfortunately very disappointing. My reuben was burnt and dry and it hurt the roof of my mouth when I bit into it. The taste was very bland and a bit bitter from the burnt toast. Both the reuben and fries were barely warm. My husband had the farm to table meatballs and sweet corn and it was barely warm and he didn't like the flavor, he even scraped the seasoning off the sweet corn and the sauce that came with the meatballs was green and he didn't enjoy the flavor.
The atmosphere is definitely great. However the food was sub par with very little flavor, Reuben meat was like beef jerky it was so tough, beet salad with no flavor, chicken wrap needed to be dunked in ranch to get an flavor. The cheese curds were the only good thing. The waitress Liz though was the worst! She was not welcoming and down right off putting like she was being forced to work there. Sad because sentry world itself is so beautiful! I hope they do better for others
We were very disappointed in this visit. We had reservations. It didn't matter. Our food came out very late. The Mac N cheese was cold and unedable. My pizza was the wrong one. The waitress did give me an appetizer to eat while the correct pizza was cooking. They did gives us a break on the bill. Altogether disappointed in the visit.
PJ's- SentryWorld is a beautiful building with great landscaping, gorgeous flowers, and lush green grass. The dining area is huge and also very nice. However, the food is little to be desired. Our table ordered a variety of items off the menu; from appetizers to sandwiches, taco's, burgers, and salmon. The cheese curds were probably the best, and even those weren't worth the price. They were a bit greasy and were not hot when we got them. Food was not prepared as stated on the menu and lacked flavor. Save your money and go to Red Robin or Chili's. I will not be a returning customer.
Worst Holiday dining experience ever! Too bad we had our Thanksgiving planned for here!! Food was cold, sent the braised chicken back. Rice was old crunchy and cold. Chicken cold in the center, undercooked. Smoked pork pasta came to the table cold as well. Fish was overcooked. Burger was ok and appetizers were hot and tasty. Expected better than gas station quality food. I feel like we were served food out of the slop bucket.
Well, another flop for PJs. Last Wednesday during the band, I ordered two seltzers from the main bar. The (what looked like male manager in charge) dropped one of my seltzers (on the other side of the bar -- where I couldn't see) and did not tell me when he picked it up from the ground and placed in on the bar. Ample opportunity to say, "hey, open the other one first, I accidentally dropped this one" and there would have been no problem. Little did the bartender know, two people who knew me saw this happen, but the one could not reach me in time before I opened the one that was dropped. And ended up with seltzer dye all over my favorite shirt. It's a shame. The food is horribly inconsistent and not worth risking the cost at about a 65% bad vs 35% good..The two things PJs had going for them is service and atmosphere. Now they've lost the service star. I thought it could just be me, so I asked many people in town their opinions. They all track with my review. Do better PJs. The potential is there, the execution is not. I will post weekly reviews of PJs for the foreseeable future.
Pjs was my favorite place to go for a nice meal in Stevens Point. I went a few months ago and the food was not as good as it used to be and many of the recipes were changed. I thought it could be a fluke (supply chain issues and such), however i went for lunch today and was extremely disappointed. The cheese curds were mainly fried breading from the bottom of the deep fryer basket. The chicken from the buttermilk chicken sandwich was burnt and tasted like flour. The smash burger was good but not enough thousand island (there was LEGIT a 1/2 tsp soaked into the bun). It was not worth what i paid for.
Wednesday music at PJ’s used to be my favorite night of the week, beautiful venue, great music, and the smell of the grill going as I find good friends and conversations in the crowd! After the last couple years of going and seeing things go downhill, I had to say something. Please consider bringing back food that my family will eat and enjoy, like the great days you had of grilling fresh burgers and walking tacos! The premade food has been cold, dry, and no flavors. I will not eat at pjs right now, I’ve given it so many tries and it’s just not good food for the price at all.
I ordered the battered cod for lunch. What I basically got was a slab of batter that was deep fried. If there was cod in it, there was very little. VERY DISAPPOINTED. And our waitress never came around to ask how our food was. Wasted $70, with their $11 tip they made us pay. Won't be seeing my business again.
