Hudson & Co delivered on every level. The food was incredible (especially the short ribs and bao buns), and the cocktails were unique and well-made. Everything arrived on time, and our server Brunna, was so friendly and attentive. We felt very well taken care of.
The food and service here were excellent. The menu choices had variety. My favorite was the Charlotte's Ping Pong Waves dessert, served on a mini ferris wheel. They were delicious and fun little donuts filled with vanilla and nutella, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Be careful though because they come out HOT. The view from the dock of Manhattan was just beautiful. Our server had great recommendations for us as far as what to try. We will be back next time we hit Jersey City for sure!
Went on a Monday at 1pm for lunch and had the best outdoor seating. Employees were friendly, tasty food, captivating view. Myself +1 ordered the Black Truffle Pizza made in their brick oven, soup of the day, Golden Apple Kale Salad with chicken (add on), and the tossed Greek salad with shrimp. All food selections were yum.
Hudson & Co. is an absolute gem right on the waterfront. The atmosphere is always lively yet comfortable, with some of the best views of Manhattan you’ll find anywhere in Jersey City. The food is consistently excellent—everything from the apps to the mains is fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Cocktails are top-notch as well, crafted with care and creativity. The service really stands out too. The staff is attentive without being overbearing and always makes you feel welcome. Whether it’s a casual dinner, drinks with friends, or hosting out-of-town guests, Hudson & Co. delivers every time. It’s such a perk having this spot right in the area—I find myself coming back again and again. Highly recommend!
Had a wonderful lunch at Hudson & Co. We sat outdoors with beautiful river and city views, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. The lunch dishes were fresh and tasty, and finishing with coffee and dessert was the perfect touch. Friendly service and a great overall experience—highly recommend!
We had a great experience. The service was genuinely impressive and the staff checked up on us constantly to make sure we had everything we needed. Ron, Brandon, and Leo all went above and beyond and handled our large party really well. The food was good, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the whole night felt easy because of how attentive the team was.
I recently had the pleasure of dining in downtown JC, and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to try something new. My friends and I visited on a Friday, and although our server was busy, one of the assistants went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We asked for recommendations, and he suggested the octopus as an appetizer and the shrimp mao buns, both of which were delicious. For entrees, I highly recommend the porch chop and the ny strip. Overall, I was impressed with the service, particularly the teamwork between our server and the assistant. It's clear that the assistants play a vital role in ensuring a smooth dining experience.
This fantastic spot is conveniently located right by the water. The food is simply amazing, and the drinks are equally delightful. The hamburgers and steak are particularly noteworthy. The outdoor seating offers a great view, and the ambiance is simply amazing. However, I must mention that parking was quite accessible at one point, but it seems like the outdoor parking area is being converted into a building.
Decided to try this place with coworkers and it did not disappoint! Not only did they seat us immediately (a group of 12 with no reservations), our server Corey V was attentive, polite and on point! He accurately took our orders and accommodated our requests with a smile. Great service is hard to find these days, and Corey exceeded our expectations! Thanks to his service, our corporate dinner for our out-of-town guests was successful. The view was phenomenal and the food & drinks were good.
Nice upscale restaurant first time going. The Happy Hour menu had a good selection and price. My favorite was the beef sliders and the drinks were excellent too. The view of New York is AMAZING! Here I share a picture from the bar looking out the window. 🍷🥃🥂🍹🍻
Nothing beats a waterfront view along New Jersey’s Gold Coast, a roughly 20-mile stretch from Fort Lee to Bayonne. It’s no secret these spectacular sights are best taken in with a magnificent meal. Located on 2nd Street in Jersey City’s Harborside, this 12,000-square-foot space is hard to miss with wide-open floor-to-ceiling windows where my company celebrated last night a milestone anniversary overlooking NYC even though the sky began grey but ended the festivity with a spectacular treat of the shimmering skyline. Upon entering Hudson & Co. as first-timers, my colleague and I were greeted by the host and struck by its nautically themed vibe with basket-weave floor tiles, suspended oversized coffers, hammered copper wall insets, wrought iron Revolutionary War beam chandeliers, and steampunk lighting. The establishment offers fantastic views, no matter where one sits—inside or outside. Their menu is simple, eclectic, and heavily skewed towards seafood, with gastropub-centered choices such as from Sushi, Grilled Spanish Octopus, Smoked Brûlée Burrata and Mac & Cheese as appetizers and Mediterranean Sea Bass, Seafood Chitarra, Young Pressed Chicken, Braised Short Ribs, and NY Strip Steak & Frites for the main meal. Dessert was featured with Crème Brûlée, Molten Lava Cake or Gelato Trio. Our meal was absolutely delicious, where the flavors were rich, cooked to perfection, and the portion size was generous. Our server, Evelyn, and the staff were absolutely fantastic, informative, and attentive to our table. Special thanks to the general manager, Roman, as every detail was thought of, and it made for one of the most memorable celebrations we've ever had, which we can recommend.
We visited Jersey city for the first time while we had visitors in town and we ended up at Hudson & Co and we definitely had a great time. Not only the views were amazing, food and drinks were also fantastic. 10/10 would recommend and definitely going to be returning.
Modern eatery right on the Jersey City waterfront. The menu is quite diverse with options from sushi to flatbread- there's something for everyone. The sushi is solid, but I wouldn't come here exclusively for sushi as it's not a sushi restaurant. The sea bass was excellent and the crispy rice appetizer was also a hit. What really makes this restaurant special is their location and vast outdoor seating- perfect for a nice day where you'd like to sit outside and sip on a drink. Lastly, they have a pretty solid happy hour but unfortunately it's only available in the bar area.
Highly recommended and will come visit again soon. Great dining experience & beautiful views of the NYC skyline for Father’s Day. We had the Oxtail Croquette and the Corn soup for appetizers. For entrees we had the Pressed Young Chicken and I had the Prime Strip. Bruna was our server and she was great!
I really enjoyed this place for its atmosphere. We were looking for a spot where we could chat and enjoy a couple of cocktails, and this turned out to be just right. It was a Saturday night, but we only waited about 5 minutes for seats at the bar, which was great. The service was warm and friendly, and the vibe was cozy without feeling too loud or crowded. I ordered an espresso martini, which was a bit too sweet (just a personal preference) After that, I switched to my classic go-to: whiskey or rum with Coke — always a safe and satisfying choice. We also tried some sushi rolls. They were nice, though a little bit messy and tended to fall apart. Still, they tasted fresh. The terrace was closed at the time, but you could still step outside if you ordered a drink, which was a nice touch. Overall, I really liked the place — spots with a view of New York always have a special place in my heart.
My first time in Jersey, and when I say this place made my trip, I mean it. The drinks were amazing, the food was DELISH and it’s the best view day or night. I am so impressed with the entire experience. I smiled the entire time I was there just because of the beautiful energy and that view is unbeatable. My bartender, Michael, made me feel at home and made me the yummiest espresso martini and a new one called the Pepper Plane that I could drink 10 of. I wish I could have him take care of me every day! 11/10. Will be back to Jersey just to see my favorite bartender and that beautiful view again, hopefully next time at night!
Booked online without a hitch, and from the moment we arrived the team couldn’t have been more welcoming. We were shown straight to our table and enjoyed prompt, genuinely friendly service all evening. Yes, it’s a few dollars pricier than some spots, but the waterfront view alone makes it worth every penny. We all went for pizzas, beautifully fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. A thoroughly enjoyable night; we’ll happily return on our next visit.
This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I drove two and a half hours from Atlantic City—and I have to say, it was well worth it! From the delicious food and amazing atmosphere to the stunning view of the city skyline lighting up over the river, everything was simply exceptional. There’s so much I could rave about, but I especially want to highlight our waitress, Bruna. She was beyond amazing—genuinely kind, caring, and attentive. It was clear she wasn’t just doing her job; she truly enjoys what she does and takes pride in providing a great experience for her guests. If you’re reading reviews trying to decide whether to dine here, don’t think twice—you will not be disappointed. While some may be hesitant about the pricing, trust me: once you taste the food and enjoy the drinks, you’ll understand why. I don’t usually leave reviews, and I rarely give all five stars, but this place absolutely earned it. An all-around outstanding experience!
Hudson & Co. in Jersey City was fantastic! The food was good , but the “Hellfire” sushi was my absolute favorite—so fresh and beautifully prepared. In my opinion, it’s not spicy at all but definitely packs a lot of delicious flavorful. The breathtaking waterfront views made our dining experience even more memorable, perfectly complementing the warm and inviting atmosphere. It was the ideal setting for a peaceful and enjoyable Sunday afternoon with my little family. Our server, Bruna, truly made our visit unforgettable. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel so welcomed. The service was fast and on point. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and always had a warm smile. It’s rare to find such exceptional service, and Bruna went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. (Make sure to ask for Bruna—you’ll love her!) The total for our meal came to $120, which included three generous plates of food, two adult drinks, and two fruit punches. Given the quality, portion sizes, and the beautiful waterfront view, it felt like a fair price for the experience. You’re definitely paying for the atmosphere as well, but it was well worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I have to say this is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. The slow braised ribs & Mac & cheese are delicious, I crave them randomly! The service is always great, the waitresses are attentive & provide excellent recommendations. Our waitress recommended the lady of the night cocktail & it was excellent- not too strong but sweet. I love the vibes in here, the food, the service & I don’t say that lightly. It can be expensive but for a date night, it just doesn’t matter!
I would definitely recommend Hudson and Co. I came for a late dinner tonight, since the beginning the manager Ashley gave us a very warm welcoming and made us feel at home. Our waitress Johanna gave us great recommendations on the menu. The drinks were excellent and the best part was that they were made by the employees themselves. I highly recommend the rice cakes and sushi as well. Everything was great, we’ll definitely come back!
Had a great time at Hudson & Co. the atmosphere was amazing, it was on a Monday night so it was not busy which I like. Our waitress Johanna was awesome. She was super attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. I had the pressed young chicken, it’s a good portion. Overall it was a great meal.
Thank you Manager Antonio for helping us secure a good table for a birthday. He made the entire event special and accommodated us so well. Will be back.
Food and service are def 5 stars. The view and atmosphere here is incredible. Great flavor with a good price for the area. Food comes quick and fresh. The menu is simple, But great. The bar selection is perfect. Seats are comfy and there is plenty of room inside or outside. They work as teams and won’t cut corners, they are always checking on you. Def recommending this place to friends and family. Parking is around the area, and I did not see a valet service. I have reviewed pretty much most restaurant in this area and I and Very happy with my experience here. See you On my next trip.
I would definitely recommend Hudson and Co. Came for a late dinner after a long day In New York City and decided to sit at the bar. The service off the bat was pretty good, although one bartender in particular shined above the rest, Esteban. I decided to try one of their espresso martinis, the one that stuck out to me was their Campfire S’mores Espresso Martini which had whiskey and toasted marshmallow syrup. A little sweet as a dinner starter which I should’ve seen coming, but overall the best tasting espresso martini I’ve gotten in the city by far. Their soup of the day was a Hudson and Co Spring Soup, Which had a bunch of fresh vegetables and potatoes as a base and a little bit of shrimp. This dish was the only reason I gave four stars for food… I had a couple of bites and was very disappointed in both The lack of flavor and the fact that the shrimps were whole and still had the tails on (Esteban was kind enough to take care of for me when he quickly realized I wasn’t a fan). After the soup, I got a Rainbow roll and the crispy rice cakes. The Rainbow roll was pretty good (although I did find some bone in one of the white fish), but the real star of the show is the crispy rice cakes with spicy tuna and sauce on top. I could have easily ordered two more plates of just the crispy rice cakes. Overall a lovely time, especially thanks to Esteban’s great service and hospitality.
Dinner with my sister was an experience. We sat by the water and talk the night away while enjoying the pizza, salad and sushi. All made well. Drinks where creative and fun. Will be coming back!
This restaurant hits every time! Joanna had incredible service as we celebrated a special occasion. The crunchy rice cakes and chicken bacon ranch pizza are a must! Can’t wait to come back.
Came here the other evening for drinks and bar food. Both were fantastic . Very attentive bar staff. He is admitted he didn't know my cocktail but was open to knowing how to make it. What a humble guy! Food was especially good. Had pizza and sliders. Amazing view. Check it out.
Had an amazing experience at Hudson & Co! The ambience was absolutely beautiful — elegant yet relaxed, with a great view and a lively atmosphere that made the evening special. The food was delicious, perfectly balanced in flavor and presentation. A big shoutout to Joanna, our server, who was incredibly warm, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Her friendly personality and great recommendations truly elevated the experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a wonderful dining vibe!
Went for valentines dinner & had an amazing experience! Service was excellent! The restaurant and view is fantastic! We had the sea bass, NY strip & Mac & cheese & wedge salad and it didn't disappoint. Love the complimentary champagne and rose! Can't wait to return in the summer to enjoy the patio.
We loved everything we ordered! The octopus and bao buns were packed with flavor, the short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth good, and the burrata was fresh and perfectly balanced. The specialty cocktails were also amazing. Brunna took such great care of us—service was flawless.
From start to finish, this was a fantastic dining experience. The pizza was great, the cocktails were creative, and the seafood chitarra was a must-order. Our server Brunna was wonderful—so nice, professional, and attentive throughout the night. Highly recommend!
Joanna was honestly the best server, giving us the best energy and experience here on my birthday. She was so enthusiastic about the menu and making sure we got everything in time and she also wished me a happy birthday which made my really happy. Definitely recommend her and the delicious food at Hudson & Co!
Amazing food, great service, and beautiful presentation. The burrata, octopus, and seafood chitarra were highlights, and the cocktails paired perfectly with the meal. Brunna was fantastic— super nice, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely coming back!
The atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing—filled with amazing staff, food, and energy. Fernando makes a great “Winter sprites”, and works beautifully hand-in-hand with our server Johanna—who is also highly attentive to the customers and the resultants needs. I highly recommend this place if you want a nice night out.
Food was good. The atmosphere and view is amazing. Becca provided great service and hospitality! She was so sweet and accommodating. Ashley the manager really goes above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! One of the best managers I've had the pleasure to meet. Would definitely come back!
We had an amazing experience at Hudson & Co! We ordered a sushi platter , shrimp bao and a pizza — both were absolutely delicious. The sushi and the shrimp bao was fresh and beautifully presented, and the pizza came out hot, crispy, and full of flavor. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday, and the staff made it extra special by bringing out the Ping Pong Wheel — which was on the house! It was such a fun and thoughtful surprise, and it really added to the celebration. The atmosphere was lively, the service was friendly, and everything came together for a perfect evening. Highly recommend Hudson & Co for great food, great vibes, and great hospitality! 🎉🍣🍕
The atmosphere and service were undeniably outstanding—no complaints there. The staff couldn't have been kinder, and even the other patrons were a friendly bunch (lol). The view was absolutely stunning. That said, the food we chose left much to be desired. The shrimp bun was a highlight—tasty all around. The shrimp tempura delivered on crispiness, with a soft bun and fresh veggies to boot. The pasta, though? Total letdown. The noodle had this weird off-taste, the sauce was underwhelming and bland, and while the seafood seemed fresh overall, those two clams were a hard pass. All in all, the vibe and service alone make it worth venturing back to sample different menu items. One more heads-up: Good luck finding parking—there isn't any to be had anywhere nearby including valet.
Hudson & Co. Bar and Grill 3 2nd. St. Suite 150 Jersey City, NJ 07311 Braised Short Ribs Pressed Young Chicken This is one of many restaurants in the downtown area conveniently located along the Hudson River esplanade. Braised Short Ribs: The thinly shredded was tender and juicy and the au jus was out of this world. The sides were the backbone to this Omar’s Pressed Young Chicken: Take the name of this entrée literally; the chicken is smaller inside contributing to its extra tenderness. The meat easily fell of the bone. While both the main course and its sides were tasty, but my main critique is to increase the overall portion size. Otherwise, this is a perfect dining experience especially if you want to view the Manhattan skyline while you dine. #hudsoncobarandgrill #downtownjerseycity #braisedshortribs #youngpressedchicken
One of the better pizzas I had this week while visiting for work. Crust was light and airy and the sauce was perfect. Great service and great views into NYC!
Place has amazing views of the city. Location is perfect. Bit pricy overall compared to amount of food served. Looks like paying a premium to get the views Service was great and attentive. Food was good and served in time. Overall a good experience
Came for the view and stayed for the bao buns! Excellent food, drinks, and view. They do get busy which impacts their serving time so prepare to be patient.
Im a little late doing my review however, I have always had a pleasant experience when I dined here. I throughly enjoyed a time I came here for dinner as well, the staff have always been courteous and helpful.
Hudson & Co. is one of the rare gems right on the Hudson with absolutely fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline—easily one of the best parts of dining here. We came for a casual night out and had a really solid experience overall. My partner had a Paper Plane cocktail and loved it—mezcal lovers, definitely give it a try. I kept it simple with a few Michelob Ultras (bottled), and we split a couple of sushi rolls. The sushi was actually fantastic—fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend the Crazy Tuna roll if you’re into a little kick and bold flavors. The only drawback? The prices. $8 for a bottle of Michelob and around $24 per sushi roll feels steep, even for a spot with views like this. But if you’re looking for a place with a great vibe, solid drinks, and sushi that delivers, it’s worth checking out—just be ready for the price tag.
Great location. Decent bar and food offered. Sit at the bar with glorious view of west side of Manhatten. Comes alive as a view at sun down. Summer time, sit outside for uninterrupted view - you are literally at the water's edge. Not a cheap bar, so I reckon food needs to be slightly better. The steaks aren't like you'd get in Manhattan. But the bartenders were attentive and it was a great experience.
Came to eat dinner with my family on New Year’s Eve 2025, we did not make a reservation, but the staff made an effort to seat us anyways, and we are very thankful for that since it’s not an easy task to find a restaurant in the area without a reservation on New Year’s Eve. Like people said before me, the view of Manhattan is really breathtaking, the restaurant is located in a very good area, the restaurant itself is quite new, clean and very well maintained. The staff seems to be professional, and the waiters really know their job. The food though looks amazing, but not at the highest level, on the other hand, the prices are fair. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area.
Overall ok experience. Food is overpriced but it’s expected in Jersey City. The portions are small for what you’re paying. $17 for Mac and cheese. Just no lol. Chicken bacon ranch pizza is 25 , it’s small and it was ok. Nothing to write home about. The servers were very nice and attentive though especially the hostess. Also $19 for VEGETARIAN meat balls. Not even meat and $19? They fill up the space on plates with vegetables so you get the least amount of value.
The reason we chose the place was because it advertised having both public parking and a valet service. We get there, and the valet said there was no parking and that I had to find some place called the Newport Mall. Being from out of town I had no idea what that meant. I had to drop my party off so we didn't lose our reservation, and head off to find a place to park the car. It was a 10 minute walk back to the restaurant and when I got there, I found the valet parking cars in the parking area. I would give this place one star just for that. The food was good, not exceptional. Everyone recommended the truffle pizza and it was really good. The wait staff was attentive and always checked on how we were. The atmosphere was amazing. Seeing the lights come on in the city was a beautiful experience. If you feel like taking an Uber on your night out, I recommend this place. If you plan on parking I would not take my chances.
There are no decent vegetarian entrees. My boyfriend and I ordered the Beyond meatballs with mini sweet peppers. They came out hanging on some metal skewer hangman fixture looking 1/2 cooked. We ordered the linguine verde which was not actual pasta but zucchini smothered in pesto sauce. It didn’t look or taste good. If it wasn’t past lunch time, we could’ve tried the beyond burger. It’s only available until 4pm I believe. We got mango avocado sushi and it was DELICIOUS! The service was 5 star and the atmosphere was nice. The prices are too high for what you get but hey, that’s everywhere nowadays. Our mocktails were good as well.
This food is extremely overpriced for its lack of flavor, there isn't any real variety. If you are African american I would suggest any other restaurant down by the water but although the food is pretty it's just not flavorful. This place could use a rebrand of its menu especially since I see that children come here. I had pizza and it was horrible!
