Really good quality meats and service. They cook the meat for you so you don't mess up since it's quite expensive. For the meats, we ordered A5 Japanese Wagyu ($96), US Wagyu Chuck Flap ($38), and Black Pork Belly ($30). The chuck flap was super melt in your mouth and juicy I definitely recommend ordering it. Black pork belly was also really tasty and thick. Not like the ones you'd usually get at AYCE locations which tend to be the think ones. Finally the A5 Japanese wagyu had great marbling and also melted but I think I ultimately preferred the chuck flap given the price. It was nice to experience it for the first visit though. We also ordered the wagyu galbi mandoo ($22) which was okay. It wasn't bad but wasn't amazing to me given the price. I saw a lot of people liked it though so maybe it just isn't to my personal taste. It's a bit sweet so if you like that then you can consider trying it. The nakji pajeon was good. I really like seafood pancake so this was nice. My sister wished they didn't add as much bell pepper but I thought it was fine. Lastly, the side dishes were all great and they gave a small complimentary tart froyo + macaroon at the end which was good.
If you’re looking for excellent beef and a great wine list, this is for you. I have never had this kind of quality meat at a Korean barbecue. It’s truly excellent. The A5 Wagyu rib eye is top quality and amazing!! Also, the prime bone in marinated short rib was Absolutely delicious. The restaurant is clean and modern. The service was excellent. We finished the meal with delicious macaroons and frozen yogurt.
The place offers divine food! With awesome and super helpful staff! I have been there twice and each time I have only grown in the desire to go back! Our waiter put in the time to explain the menu, offer advice and arrange the food to match the number of us! Which is really what I want when I am at a restaurant for which I do not speak the language! The food itself is very good! The appetizers came in vert nicely crafted and in good portions! We even had a toddler with us and the staff could not have been more accommodating! Cleanness: 5star! Menu diversity: ofcourse all asian but with great choices for every one Seating: indoor and outdoor!(though fun happens indoor) Portion size: fair! Not too big not too small! Price: priced high but totally worth it! Noise level: busy noisy Design: a lot of awesome details and care Accessibility: has wheelchair accessible tables, staff are also super helpful Reservation: not always needed! I’d call them before u go though! Or definitely if u have a large party
A meal at Ten Butchers is definitely a treat. Cocktails are delicious, meat cuts are expensive and banchans are tasty. More variety would be good. Once the cuts of meat arrive, a staff member is available to do the grilling. The staff who did the grilling cooked at a pace to maximize our enjoyment. Each item was cooked perfectly and only cooked when we were ready to eat it. The staff at Ten Butchers were super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The food was wonderful. Service was amazing and the entire experience was better than expected! And I was expecting a lot.
10 Butcher's Korean BBQ in Santa Clara was such a wonderful experience! Best cuts of beef and pork is prepared for you and you can pick from A5 grade meat from Japan to Wagyu grade from U.S! THIS IS NOT A CHEAP EXPERIENCE but a great place to experience something special for a special day! This was nice because our host cooked all the meat for us. Service was wonderful and so many yummy Korean side dishes! Go hungry...leave in a food coma!! So GOOD!!!
This was a great Korean BBQ place that I would highly recommend people to go to. The meat quality was superb, the service was great, and everything was delicious and joyous. My group of 4 had 3 appetizers with the meat: Boneless Short Ribs, US Wagyu Chuck Flap, Prime Outside Skirt, and Pork Belly. After all of this, we were enjoyably in a food coma. Then to our surprise, we were given a macaroon and plain frozen yogurt. Great night!
So far , I think this restaurant is the best Korean BBQ for me ! We ordered US wagyu $70 and pork belly $38 both are so delicious. Compare with other place , Pork belly is more chewy but grill skill made it outside crispy . Wagyu is so good melted your mouth! Their side dish also great , I love one of dish is kapocha salad inside with apple and cucumber. Our server Annie she is super friendly and knowledgeable. definitely we will go back here , but will make the reservation first if possible, otherwise one hour for the wait even lunch time .
If you like Korean BBQ like I do, this is your place. We ordered US Wagyu rib and Korean seasoned rib. Both were really good. They have the best quality of meat out of all K-bbq places I had been in US. Servers are very friendly and have everything get ready so quick - i love it. Our server Sunny (선아) was very professional and attentive to our needs. One thing to keep in mind is there'll be waiting. Highly recommend to reserve a table in advance. Summary Food: 5 stars Seevice: 5 stars Cleaness: 5 stars
Side dishes were so good (and free refill) that even your vegetarian friends will be full! 😄 The cold noodles were rly good too!! — update 4/27/25 Came back in 2025 and felt like it wasn’t as good as before… the cold noodles came in clump and had a rly weird tasting broth (we all agreed the recipe has changed). Side dishes were less good as well, but the waiter’s attitude was the worst. I get that they may feel annoyed by all the Chinese groups that come but we felt hostility from the start. We were trying to be extra nice, and had seniors in our group, but the attitude stayed cold throughout our time there. He also didn’t know that there was seafood in the banchan pancake but there was lots of shrimps and we had one person allergic to shrimps… Also very loud so hard to talk.
I love Korean BBQ and amazed by 10 Butchers. The portion is great! I ordered beef brisket, beef short ribs and Wagyu beef soup. The meat is very tasty, goes well with the truffles salt, and soup is spicy. Green onions and small dishes are good! Environment is great. Only thing is the wait (30mins and plus in a busy night)
Consistently delicious. It is on the pricier end but the quality of meat and service is truly worth in the Bay Area. Had the Mandu which were giant and delicious, the short rib both marinated and regular were incredible. Finished the meal with Naengmyeon which was refreshing and delicious. The banchan are endless also. Everything was amazing. Great for a special occasion!
10 Butchers is a Korean bbq experience unlike any other that you've tried thus far (I promise you). This is not an AYCE establishment; however, the quality of their meet and their top-notch service certainly make up for the inability to order as much meet as you like (well I mean you can technically, but you're paying for each plate). 10 Butchers offers a variety of beef cuts and two pork options for those looking for some variety. They also offer a range of appetizer and entree options for those of you looking to round out your meal a bit (and of course you will get a variety of side dishes that can be refilled on request). The price point is a bit steep, but in my opinion, you pay for not only the quality of the meat, but also the service. As a once-in-a-while treat, I think the price is well worth it for the food and overall experience. My party pf 8 dined here for dinner on a Sunday night. Given our large party size we made sure to make a reservation; however, I was unsuccessful in doing so via their online system. We instead called them the Monday before to make our reservation, which worked out nicely. 10 Butchers is definitely popular, so if you want to avoid a long wait time, definitely make a reservation in advance (also keep in mind they won't seat you until your entire party has arrived). Given the size of our group, we were split up into 2 tables of 4 adjacent to each other - not the most ideal for facilitating discussions amongst everyone, but it did work out for us. My table ordered four cuts in total: (1) prime rib eye, (2) A5 wagyu brisket, (3) beef tongue, and (4) pork belly. We also added on a rice cake soup to our meal. In my opinion, the best part of 10 Butchers is the service - their staff will expertly cook and rest all your meats for you. Given the price and high-quality of all of their meats, the last thing I would want to do is to ruin it all with my amateur kbbq cooking technique, so it was a nice change to have an expert cook it for us. Of all the meats, I would say the brisket was probably my favorite given the melt-in-your-mouth texture and flavors of the cut, but that's not to say the others weren't astounding as well. The rice cake soup paired nicely with all the meat, providing us a lighter component to break up all the heaviness of the meal. Last, but not least, they served us a complimentary strawberry soft serve that was sweet, tart, and refreshing - a perfect way to end. If you're looking for a high-quality Korean BBQ experience (with the bonus of the meats being cooked for you), then you should definitely give 10 Butchers a try!
5 star Korean BBQ! This place is amazing. High price but with every penny for the food, service, cocktails, experience. The meat is so fresh and high quality. The dishes are amazing and they cook everything for you! If you're looking for an up scale kbbq place look no further. This easily beats out just about all of your typical kbbq places without fail. Make your reservations in advance and be ready to spend more than usual but it's worth it n
Wagyu melted in my mouth. Super nice. Love it a lot. The waitress was cooking for us, though I think she was a bit not that great on serving us. The waitress was a bit impatient. I have been to this place a lot of time and I thonk she was the only person that was not serving with enthusiasm amount the time I have been here. So I will still give a 5 stars on the service. And hopefully the next time I go it won't happen the same thing again.
This place is always packed on the weekends, so make sure you make a reservation online ahead of time. Even after you've made the reservation, you need to wait for the restaurant to confirm your reservation, which can take a day or 2. I went there with a friend during the weekend. We ordered the peach crush, US Wagyu ribeye, US wagyu boneless short ribs, jabchae, and kimchi jjigae. This food was definitely a lot for 2 people. There are a lot of side dishes that come with the food, so that was a pleasant surprise - a variety that I haven't usually seen at other Korean bbq places. Usually, they have servers who cook the meat, so you just sit back and enjoy. They'll cook the meat for you in batches so that way you can pace yourself. The drinks we ordered were great. The meat was very tender and fatty. The service was great, but I wasn't a fan of the seating area. It was very loud, making it hard to hear the other person. And we were seated right by the bathrooms and cash counters, so there was a lot of foot traffic and whatnot. As far as food is this place is amazing.
Went here 4 years ago when we found out my son was going to be on the way and all I remembered was they were so kind and the food was delicious, even if a little pricey. Part of it is what you choose, but we love the bbq meat 🤣. It was still just as wonderful as I remembered. In my opinion, even all these years later, the quality of the beef, the service, and the atmosphere are all still worth the price! There are some delicious items for $20-30/person so it's all in what you choose!
This place is always full, and there’s often a wait list, all for a great reason. The only experience, the meats, the salts, vegetables, side dishes, were all of the charts. This place is your there with Hobak in Vegas (off the strip) as my favorite Korean BBQ places out of any city I’ve lived in: LA, SF, NYC and Vegas.
The best Korean Barbecue in the bay area with a modern and high-end vibe. It’s my go-to/favorite Korean bbq place in the bay area. Their high quality meat is always perfect and just extremely delicious. I have to say that it is just as great or even better than many places you can find in Korea. They describe different cuts on their menu so it is easy to pick and order what you’d like. And of course, they cook for you right at your table and the great service is their standard. Korean beef tartare is also very nice as an appetizer and their Korean cold noodle is amazing as well. And they serve you a macaroon over some frozen yogurt as a dessert which is free / comes with your dinner. Reservation is highly recommended since this place is always packed.
Yummy Korean bbq. Finally was able to get a table and had dinner with family. Foids are yummy and the service was really good. It was very very packed. Food prices are at a higher price and there is a choice of A5 if you plan to have it. Other types of meat range from 25 and up. You can order marinate one or plain for some of the meat choices. Overall we had a very good experience.
The only kbbq in the bay area comparable to LA. Appetizers like the galbi tang are great too. Galbi Jim was also really good, we liked the meat and other stuff in the galbi Jim more than Daeho, but the sauce from Daeho is better. Large selection of drinks and cocktails, all of which were great and reasonably priced
Absolutely one of the best Korean fine dining experiences that is available in the US. Their ban chan side dishes are top shelf (perilla/shiso!), the grilled items are fantastic with excellent tableside service, and the great ptide that they have in the fare served shines through. I was fortunate to have incredibly good company during this meal so that added to an already high level dining experience. The dining atmosphere is also elevated to accentuate the experience, being modern with subdued lighting. This restaurant gets a very strong recommendation from me to any who read this review.
Love the ambience, service and quality of the food (especially meat). They cook it for you and that is what I prefer. Service is also better than other similar Korea BBQ. Note that this place gets very crowded on weekends so you got to go line up 15mins before it is open or go at 2-4pm.
I made a reservation for 10 guests. For a big group size, you’re supposed to preorder 8 meats. The restaurant notified me via Open Table, but I missed the text. I want to give a shoutout to the staff for calling me on the day of my reservation to follow up on my preorder. Apparently, your reservation would be canceled if you don’t provide your meat selection for big party sizes in advance. I want to give another shoutout to our waitress, Angela! She was so attentive, refilling water and side dishes often. She cooked the meats quickly. Towards the end of our lunch, Angela asked if we were celebrating any occasion . I told her we’re celebrating a birthday, and she brought out desserts. The service was fantastic!
Fresh meats,a little too expensive for the quantities but everything is turning very expensive in the bay area. The service is attentive and prompt. The decor is modern and simple. The ventilation is excellent. Afterwards our clothes don’t smell bbq at all. However due to the needs for grill and airflow, the box that holds the system is very bulky under the table. Not enough leg room for anyone even a medium size. Sitting there is not comfortable. Not sure if it’s by design to fill more tables. Too bad.
Probably the best Korean BBQ in the SF Bay Area. Was there at 430 pm on a Saturday and the wait was 1 hour. Easy to leave contact on wait list and staff will call if a table comes up. The small dishes were first served and they were really good. For the meats we had the brisket, boneless ribs and ribeye - all were of high quality. Liked the fact that the meat is grilled in front of us by skilled staff members. The onion pancake with octopus was outstanding as well. Good ice cream is top off the experience.
Visited for first-time time for a birthday celebration. Our group of 6 made a reservation, and it was approved within 24 hours. All guests must be present to be seated. We were seated in an enclosed room with somewhat bigger tables for 6. Ski did an amazing job from taking our orders, cooking the food, and recommending which sides pair well with the variety of meat. He also brought out dessert and a birthday treat to share with the table. It was very thoughtful. Definitely recommend making the reservation, or you're expected to wait an hour or so. Parking is a bit small and shared; it is best to arrive early.
Sunny was the one attending our table.. she was really nice and made sure my daughter had the best experience..she cut the beef into smaller pieces for her soup, she gave her seaweed to pair with her meal, and my daughter loved everything about it. Food was great. The a5 japanese wagyu ribeye was superb. Buttery soft. Cooked right. It was so good. Lots of free sides. And theres free dessert too. And it was so good.
This place has become a go-to spot for us and our friends, and it never fails to impress. On our latest visit, James took care of our table and truly elevated the experience. He was warm, informative, and extremely attentive throughout the meal. He handled the grilling perfectly and even brought over some extra sides without us asking. We also enjoyed a pleasant conversation with him, which made the evening even more enjoyable. While the atmosphere can get a bit noisy during peak times and the wait might be longer, the consistently great food and outstanding service keep us coming back.
My wife and I just got done writing a review but we didn’t send you guys pictures of our unbelievable experience at your fine dining restaurant and we wanted to share it with you. Once again, thank you for making our lunch simply remarkable. You have customers for life and our waiter was simply wonderful.
One of my favorite KBBQ places, and the price is worth the experience. The meat is so fresh and flavorful and the staff cooks it perfectly for you. Then they serve it directly to your plate. I love all the tiny side dishes which makes every bite so different. The end the meal with a tasty little dessert, which is just the perfect amount for me. It might be a while before I go back but I can’t wait for it.
I don’t know what good Korean food is. I ate here and it was an experience not to forget. I had flavors I have never had before. Service like I am a freaking king. I am told this is one of the two best Korean places in the area and this one is the “old school” one. If this holds true I am old school and I am totally old school Korean. Bottom line go here spend what you can and love every damn moment of it. I RARELY give a full 5 stars this place gave me 6.
10 Butchers stands out as a culinary gem for Korean BBQ lovers, offering an indulgent foray into high-quality Korean cuisine. The evening commenced with warm barley tea and creative mocktails, setting a festive tone for our celebration. The meats, particularly the short ribs, were a highlight, boasting tenderness and rich flavors that surpassed expectations. The pork belly and rib eye steak also impressed with their quality and taste. Side dishes, the fresh seafood tofu soup and the flavorful octopus pancake demonstrated the restaurant’s commitment to using superior ingredients, elevating the dining experience to new heights. The atmosphere at 10 Butchers, although modern and somewhat loud, did not detract from the overall experience, thanks to the attentive service and a complimentary chocolate cream pie for our birthday celebration. This gesture, coupled with the exceptional food, made our visit memorable. 10 Butchers proves to be a must-visit for those seeking not just a meal, but an exquisite journey through the flavors of Korean cuisine, underscored by thoughtful service and a vibrant dining environment.
Great quality meats and excellent service. The staff grills everything perfectly and the ribeye and short ribs are worth it. A solid spot for premium KBBQ.
Definitely worth it!! Quality meat choices and exceptional services. The staff is friendly, very helpful and attentive. A party of four and we ordered four meats for the BBQ and two appetizers, served with many side dishes and that was plenty of food for us. We got the flat iron, tongue, brisket, pork jowl, octopus pancake and dumplings. Pancake and dumplings were loaded and packed with plenty of flavors. The staff grilled for us, so we were able to relax and enjoy our meal. We'll come back soon!
This place is worth the drive. It's one of our more memorable meals as a group. We had made reservations ahead of time, which I highly recommend. The interior is spacious, and they have a good amount of employees working. It is an Ala carte place, and we ordered a good amount of meats. The meat quality here is on point, and they have a butcher preparing the meat in an open area where you can see it. The service is superb as we had someone grilling our food for us and also changing the grill after every meat. The wagyu galbi mandoo and wagyu soon tofu were great sides to our meats. Overall, it's a great place to try out.
We called the staff to ask if we needed a reservation and they replied that walk-ins would be fine. But when we arrived at the restaurant, we were instructed to wait on the waiting list for 1 hour and 30 minutes. The hostess here was terrible. But the food is excellent. We ordered the bone in short ribs, beef tongue, beef skirt, and spicy beef soup. The staff cooks and cuts the meat and it tastes great. There is one problem though. That is that there is no tare sauce. There is only salt on the table. But these were great experiences so I give it 5 stars.
Group lunch at 10 butchers on a weekday. Was surprised at how packed it was. It was ~100 pp and we didnt drink but did have left overs. Some of our favs - the beef tongue and short ribs (not marinated). The food was overall very good. The services was excellent. This is probably the one place where I felt the service fee/tip was actually worth it in the bay area these days. We had a blast! Highly recommend you make a reservation - especially with bigger groups as they can prep better.
Overall, 10 butchers BBQ is a great Korean BBQ place. We ordered marinated bone in short rib, beef tongue, seafood and wagyu tofu soup. The food was very yum. The short rib was not as tender as I expected, but it was full of flavors. We really enjoyed the food. The only negative is that the waitress seemed to rush into cooking. We did not have time to slowly enjoy the meal. We spent over $100 per person and finished within an hour. Not sure it was common for lunch.
The food was delicious. Maybe even more so because we waited so long to finally get seated. Be prepared for a bit of a wait. The side dishes were good and the meat was great. This is a spot where they do the cooking for you. The bibimbap and japchae is good too. The vibe was nice and service was on point.
What an amazing dinner. We were welcomed into the restaurant warmly and shown to a private eating area for our large group. We ordered a lot of meat. The seafood pancake was delicious. Side dishes were great. The meat, grilled by the workers, was incredible. The servers stayed close to the table and kept drinks going and made sure the food was all cooked properly.
We’ve been here many times with family and friends and have never been disappointed! Our recent visit was beyond and above with the server, Minho. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. He cooked the meat well, brought us extra side dishes, and we had time chatting with him as well. The restaurant could get a bit loud and the wait could be longer during the rush hours. But we love the food quality, service and will come back.
Amongst one of the best Korean BBQ restaurants in the bay area. Been here multiple times. Service is top notch ( waiters will cook the meat but they seem to shift around based on our pace of eating which makes sense ), meat quality also seemed top notch. I always reserved before I came here. Price is on the higher end as well.
I went with friends during lunch on a weekday without a reservation since there was no availability left online. Luckily we did not have to wait and were seated right away. The meat is high quality and the side dishes were really good but be prepared to spend more than your typical KBBQ restaurant. There is a designated server for your table and they cook the meat for you to ensure it’s not overcooked.
The meat was definitely high quality and tasted great. There were a range of great options but would definitely recommend the skirt steak, bulgogi, and pork belly! My only problem was that they were constantly having to reach over us and lean over the food since they do the cooking for you. It made conversation kind of awkward and reaching food a bit weird too. Otherwise great time. (be ready to spend money…)
We had a great time here, we stopped for a last minute dinner for my fiancée’s birthday but didn’t have a reservation or anything. It was 5:50 so we were sat right away. The food was amazing, we definitely over ordered but had plenty of yummy leftovers to bring home. Shoutout to our server Paul who was extremely attentive and provided amazing service. He even overheard us say it was my fiancées dinner and brought out a surprise treat for us. Thanks for a great dinner!!
Smooth kbbq experience, very impressive ventilation system. All the meats were fabulous! So fatty I felt like I was gonna die at some point but not necessarily in a bad way. Not a fan of marinated meats generally but even the marinated short rib I enjoyed. Banchan was honestly a bit underwhelming, looked very Kunjip-like but didn’t taste as good
This place is a must try. We got the beef tartar and bossom. The beef tartar was super good. We ordered rib fingers, pork jowl, and beef tongue for the bbq. The beef tongue is some of the best I've had. We also ordered cold noodle and noodle soup. Both were excellent and good portion. They have great service and cooks the food for you. Very attentive. Price is on the higher end tho!
Ten Butchers really lives up to the hype. The cuts here are next-level -- marbled short ribs, thick slices of pork belly, even sausage and veggies to round it out. Every bite was rich and flavorful, and the grill master at our table knew exactly how to cook everything to perfection. Watching the meats sizzle and then tasting them melt in your mouth is the kind of KBBQ experience you dream about. The banchan deserves its own shout-out -- fresh, varied, and seriously delicious. It wasn't just filler; it elevated the whole meal. Yes, the wait was about 50 minutes on a weekend, but once seated the service was attentive and the food came out quickly. By the end, I completely forgot I had been standing outside hungry -- it was that good. If you're serious about KBBQ, this is the spot. 5/5, would wait again.
Last weekend, I invited my girlfriend--who's half Korean and had just spent a month in Seoul--to check out this restaurant with me. I'd never been before, but I'd heard from others that the meat quality was excellent. Making a reservation was a bit tricky. You can't simply pick a time online--you have to fill out your name, contact information, party size, date, and preferred time, then wait for them to confirm or deny your request. I asked for 12:15 for two, but they accepted us at 12:30. It's an unusual system that might help them manage tables efficiently, but it's a bit of a hassle for customers. When we arrived, the restaurant was moderately busy--not packed--and the noise level was comfortable. The vibe is modern, simple, and clean. I'd visited Chungdam a couple of months earlier and found their atmosphere more upscale, though the meat quality at both places is comparable. The premium galbi here might be about $5-$10 less. We ordered the tofu soup and seafood pancake to start. My friend said the pancake reminded her of a quiche--it was thicker than she preferred, and I agreed. The seafood tofu soup, however, was delicious, and the banchan that came with the meal was all very good. That said, I still prefer Chungdam's banchan flavors and offerings more--they tasted more authentic similar to those in Seoul. We also ordered lettuce wraps for our meat (an additional charge) and settled on the galbi and pork belly. Both were delicious. Overall, the food was solid, but it was the company that made the experience great. We didn't try any of the drinks because my friend doesn't drink alcohol. Our server was very attentive--grilling and cutting our meats, pouring the tofu soup, and plating the seafood pancake for us individually. That level of service isn't always standard at other Korean BBQ spots, and the price reflects that extra care. Parking was easy at lunchtime, with free lot parking and available street spaces. I can imagine it being more difficult at dinner, but we may have just gotten lucky.
This Korean BBQ place is the best I’ve ever been to. They have an incredible variety of meats, including octopus, Japanese and American wagyu, pork belly, and short ribs. The meat is incredibly tender, and the BBQ flavors are bursting out in every bite. I highly recommend this place. It’s pure bliss! ❤️❤️
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😋🤤 Wonderful experience at 10 Butchers on Christmas Eve. Jeremi was our Server/Cook and she was awesome! She made us feel really welcome. Every cut of meat was incredible and cooked perfectly, from the brisket to the wagyu. Didn’t know I needed white kimchi in my life until now - thanks Jeremi! When the ice cream was delish! Overall, a fantastic meal and experience. We’ll definitely be back!
I think if they just added some fresh perilla leaves to wrap the meat and made the soup tastier, this would definitely be one of my favorite barbecue restaurants. The meat is very fresh and delicious; you can feel how juicy and tender it is. The staff will grill the meat for you, so you don't have to worry about watching it to make sure it's cooked just right. I don't remember the specific cuts of meat, but I ordered numbers 4 and 5 of the beef and number 4 of the pork, and they were so good that we ordered nearly 10 plates. I think the price is worth the quality. The staff member who grilled the meat at our table was very sweet; she constantly refilled the side dishes when they ran out and was very friendly. The restaurant is quite noisy, but the space is clean and cozy. You won't be able to make a reservation because it's always crowded, but you should definitely go and experience it.
We really like this place, the food is great, unlimited sides are very good, and service is excellent. I forget which cuts we like the most - I think wagyu beef - but they were all really good. The server cooks it for you, so it comes out consistent. The price is definitely on the high side, but considering the food, service and ambiance I consider it worth it. The starters are also great, beef tartar is excellent. They serve really good cocktails as well - old fashioned is well made.
Had a very nice time tonight! The meat was great, especially marinated short rib and prime ribeye. Even the mushroom was so tasty. I love the truffle salt! Mark was our server and I have too much nice things to say about him. He’s super friendly, and respond to our requests very patiently. He also cooked the meat perfectly. I’ve been to 10butchers ~5 times, and he is the best server so far! The only complaint I have is with a female server. She is also Asian, wears glasses and has brown-yellow dyed hair, relatively short and medium body weight. I asked for water refill and she brings cold water, I nicely asked for hot water instead, and she seemed very impatient and unfriendly. She said “you asked for WATER” with super rude and annoyed voice like I did something wrong. This kind of attitude is so rare at this place.
We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at 10 Butchers last night and had an absolutely perfect experience. The quality of the meat was outstanding — truly some of the best we’ve ever had. A very special thank you to our server, Ms. Jin, who provided warm, caring, and genuinely thoughtful service that made us feel completely at ease. Her attentiveness truly elevated the evening and made it even more memorable. Once again, thank you — we look forward to our next visit!

4.5/5 Classy restaurant, ate some excellent meat and overall had a great dinner experience. But, this restaurant is quite pricey and it was difficult to get a reservation (would recommend booking more than a week in advance). So much to comment on about the food: - Very high quality cuts of meat. If you're looking for higher-end cuts (e.g. A5 Wagyu) this is definitely the place to go. - In contrast, there's less of the marinated kinds - Unlimited and large variety of banchans - Excellent galbijim (comparable, if not slightly better than daeho!) - Sweet surprise at the end of the meal! As well, the service is excellent. The server was always hovering around, super friendly, and just made sure we had a great experience. Would definitely recommend coming here at least once to try it out!
The beef and marinated short ribs are great. But I had sand or small rock at my bibimbap. They did not clean the veggie well. We finished our meal and got the bill within 55 min. They cooked quick and kick you out quick.
Servers are professionals at cooking the meat you order and the meat is very high quality. Grills are changed after every meat is cooked separately. The inside is very clean and has a high end feel to it. It can get somewhat loud and busy inside. The meat is grilled at the table, there is some awkward silence while the server is at your table grilling the meat. Much of the cadence of your meal is determined dictated by when the server comes to the table to grill the meat. Would probably return for a special occasion.
Lovely food. Very heavy on meat. They have cooking in front of you on burner plate. Wagyu briskets are excellent. Onion pancake with octopus is another nice dish. Most of the side dishes were very tasty and nicely decorated and presented. The ambiance of the restaurant is very good. The service is very prompt. Staff is very friendly and polite. A must if you are a heavy meat eater.
The food here was pretty good and surprisingly reasonable. For the price we paid and had leftovers I was pretty satisfied. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere made for a pleasant evening. Even though almost every seat was filled, it didn't feel crowded or noisy. The most challenging part of dining here was probably making the reservations. Other than that, I wish our food came out in a slightly different order, esp having the rice sooner, would have been great otherwise pretty good all in all.
Not like your usual KBBQ spots. A bit fancy and expensive🫰🏾Was not expecting to be cooked for by the staff. Somewhat felt traditional. I liked how personal it was having one staff member at your table serving guests. Make sure to ask for serving chopsticks or you'll be like our group scared to grab the food with your eating chopsticks. Brisket and dumplings were really good. Other items we weren't too excited to go back and try. Nice place to visit and take out of town guests to impress. Probably not somewhere I'd visit again. I prefer AYCE KBBQ.
Total Score: 8.25 Bathroom: 4.5/5 Classic contemporary bathroom. Nothing to complain about really. At least it was clean! Customer Service: 4.5/5 The waiter cooked. Refilled waters. And noticed when we wanted to continue cooking the very last of the meat on the bone so helped us with that LOL. Ambiance: 4.25/5 Very contemporary. Nice touch with the butchers chain sign. I’m wondering where all the smoke goes cuz there weren’t any vents though. Sus amogus Food: 4.75/5 Food was soooo juicy and goodddd. The marinated pork was the best. Ugh and the apps were great too. The sides felt premium. Only complaint was the first meat we got was slightly a bit too rare. Wow: 0/1 Normal KBBQ restaurant Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's dinner. We had a reservation but arrived 30 minutes early, while waiting patiently outside (where there were no people), we noticed that there was little to no crowd control. People piled in the front entrance to wait directly in front of the reception desk. By the time it was our reservation, it took us a while just to squeeze ourselves through the crowd to the front to talk to the servers. Other than that, service was really good, our meats were cooked perfectly, albeit very fast. Banchan were good and the A5 wagyu was amazing. Portion sizes were on the smaller side, and definitely very expensive for the amount of portions you get. We spent about $300 for 4 different cuts of meat, not including drinks.
The price is steep, but the quality of the food, service, and ambiance justifies it. We had a server cook for us and explain the dishes, which was a nice touch. We ordered a lot of food. I highly recommend the black pork belly (4.5/5) and the japchae (4/5). I actually preferred the pork to the wagyu brisket (3.5/5) and wagyu rib fingers (3.5/5) we tried. The dipping sauce and salt were both delicious. The pork, when paired with garlic, jalapeños, and ssamjang, was amazing. It reminded me of some of the pork I’ve had in Korea. The seafood soon tofu (3/5) and cheese spicy galbi jjim (3/5) were decent but not particularly standout. I felt like the galbi had too much of a caramel sugar taste to it but the beef was really tender, good quality.
Drove down from SF for 10 butchers. I honestly didn't understand the hype at first but was pleasantly surprised. I had no idea that there was KBBQ that wasn't unlimited. You pay for good quality meats, service, and the ambiance. We ordered a ton of food for a big group of friends. 10 butchers isn't like other KBBQ spots. They actually cook the meat for you. It's so goood. What did we order? Actually not sure. We ordered so much Would I go again? With a big group, yes.
10Butchers Korean BBQ in Sunnyvale has quickly become our favorite spot, with this being our sixth visit. The restaurant shines with its outstanding meat quality and a wide variety of side dishes. Plus, the staff takes care of grilling the meat, allowing you to sit back and enjoy. On the downside, it's pricier compared to other Korean BBQ places — a meal with three cuts of meat, glass noodles, and a Korean seafood pancake cost us over $300. Also, for those who prefer the hands-on experience of cooking their own meat, this might not be the ideal choice. Despite these points, the quality of the food is undeniable, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. Great food, indeed!
Amazing service and atmosphere. The food was good! You are definitely paying for the quality and service. Would definitely recommend coming here if you want to spend the money. The flavors were good and clean. Our waiter grilled and served us just like in South Korea. The banchan was very good!
4.5 star. Quite a place to visit with family or date. They grill it 4 you as they do in Korea according to our foodie traveler. Excellent service due to scheduling reservations only for now. Extremely difficult to book for larger parties of 6 or more. Confirmations required almost daily as the date nears. If you don’t respond, u most likely be bumped. The seasoned grill we order was just right for our party of 7. Lots of sides, just ask for more once it runs low. We had a cold noodle soup as well. I believe this is a good place to splurge. 7 people with 2 alcohol drinks was $540 including implied 18% gratuity. As always our pics tell show what we had. Our other table had the same quality.
I visited for lunch after a long time. At first, I went to eat cold noodles, but I saw a new menu and tried it, but I guess my expectations were too high. I ordered galbi seaweed soup, but it was neither galbi nor seaweed soup. Personally, I recommend that you focus more on one of the two. The price range is a bit expensive. However, the staff was very friendly and the service was fast. However, please note that it is a bit burdensome to have staff waiting next to you. The interior is clean and modern, so it is a good place to take guests. What differentiates it from Cheongdam is that you can taste special cuts of meat. It is a place worth visiting at least once, so I recommend it. -------- update ------- I visited again during lunchtime today. I was surprised that there were so many people even though I entered at the same time as the opening today. We ordered Chadol and wagu chuck flap and hang jung sal. I couldn't see the set menu I used to sell anymore. The server in charge still responded kindly and kept filling up side dishes. Thanks to this, I was able to have a good meal. I strongly recommend it!
The quality of the meat here is excellent, but the prices are on the higher side. The staff, while friendly, can get quite busy, and it’s common for them to switch servers during your meal, especially when grilling at your table. However, the side dishes are a standout — particularly the beef soup, which was the highlight of the meal and reasonably priced. Despite the cost, I would still come back for the BBQ, especially when I don’t feel like grilling it myself. The US prime short rib is especially good, tender, and flavorful, making it worth a try.
Went there with a group of 12. Reservations strongly recommended even on a Tuesday evening. They asked us to preorder (3-4 days in advance) which was good but also odd to decide for the group. Food was delicious, they cooked the meat to perfection which warrants 5 stars. But the drinks service was very spotty and they were really not around to check on the tables Place was noisy They gave us a time limit because there was another reservation later in the evening, which was great on communication but we were essentially rushing to finish our meal. overall, great food but a few nuances that our group did not find exciting.
Went there because I heard them for a very long time. Their meat was fresh at the service was pretty good. I definitely felt like they were trying very hard to give us service to get tips and they are not very attentive. The environment was very cute and very modern. I liked their display of cocktail by the door when you walked in. I think overall consider their price. It’s a little bit overrated. Also, they didn’t provide us a bag when we asked for a box for takeout. It’s not a big deal, but consider their price tag. I would say their service was not OK.

Not your usual Korean BBQ. More like a steak house restaurant with the side dishes and entrees options. They have few option of pork, but pork was fatty; oil gushed out like eating pork lards. Restaurant is on the pricier side with fancy setting, and your personal cook. Overall, probably going to be my first and last experience with them.
Disappointing Service Overshadows Delicious Food. While the food at 10 Butchers was undeniably delicious, the erratic and inconsiderate service significantly marred our dining experience. We arrived as walk-ins and were prepared to wait for a table, which we understood is common at popular Korean BBQ spots. However, upon being seated, no one informed us that the kitchen closes at 8:30 pm. This crucial detail was omitted, leading to a series of frustrating events. One member of our party didnt eat beef, so we specifically ordered a non-beef soup to accommodate her dietary needs. The server initially took our order but later returned to inform us that the kitchen had randomly closed and they couldn't fulfill our soup request. This left our friend with extremely limited options, forcing her to subsist on side dishes like kimchi and a single pancake appetizer. To add insult to injury, we were celebrating another friend's birthday and the restaurant had promised to do something special for the occasion. Yet again, they used the excuse of the kitchen closing to avoid delivering on their promise. Ironically, they had no problem providing a birthday celebration for the table right next to us. This was our first time at 10 Butchers and while the food was great, the overall experience was deeply disappointing. The lack of communication, misinformation, and inconsistent service overshadowed the quality of the cuisine. Sadly, I cannot give them a good rating due to these significant shortcomings.
TLDR: high prices not really justified I don’t disagree that the quality of the meat is pretty high, but they charge you $65 for a ribeye which is literally just a cut up version of the steak you can buy in the grocery store for $15 or so. Just a bit of brisket costs $35, where you can get ayce brisket everywhere else and is the cheapest cut. After $65 a person (four of us), we weren’t even full.
Came for Sunday lunch around 3 PM. It wasn’t busy—only three parties waiting, and we were first. Unfortunately, the front desk staff (I believe her name is Kiki) was unfriendly from the start. She took down our number incorrectly, even though we were sitting right in front of her. When a group that arrived after us got seated first, we asked what happened. Instead of apologizing, she raised her voice and said, “OMG, there are so many customers, how can I recognize your face?” Really? There were only three parties waiting. It wasn’t a big issue until she made it one with her attitude. On the bright side, the staff at our table were professional and the food was good. But that initial experience ruined the visit. Management really needs to retrain the front desk. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.
The food is very good and the service is also very good. All the cooking is done tableside by their servers. However, the price is rather high. I don't feel this place is much better than Baekjeong (valley fair) which is also very good, has very good service, and is a bit less expensive for what I consider pretty much identical product. Upon paying the bill, I paid 10% in tip. The default lowest tip option is 20%, but I don't do that. My personal policy is 10% for good service, and if the service is poor, I typically give nothing. So in my book, I gave what I consider a "good" tip. The server seemed upset and asked me, no 20%? I said, this here is what I tip for good service. This was rather off putting. I don't think servers asking for more tip is a good look for any restaurant, especially one like this that aspires to be a high end KBBQ. I personally think tipping 20% is ridiculous for the type of skill required to be a server. If I were to ever return, and if I were to be harrassed for more tip, you can bet the entire restaurant is going to know how unhappy I would be. If management would like to contact me about this, I'm happy to discuss. I typically visit high end restaurants pretty often so if management doesn't think this is a problem, there are plenty of other places to spend my money at.
Host not too friendly and welcoming. Wide variety of side dishes with refills. Pancake was nice and crispy, though dumplings lack flavor. Quality of meats good, pork belly too fatty, quantity very small. Beef tough best tast/ value. Lacking lettuce or vegetable sided. Overall place is noisy very crowded not very elegant like Chungdam. Service was good but pushed to order expensive beef and rushed. Did not enjoy having to eat at the servers pace and feels like rushing us to finish, even with a $500+ tab.
The food at the restaurant was just average, and the prices were on the high side. $80 per person, drink is not included. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The premises were clean and modern. However, the server stood by our table and grilled the food most of the time. Personally, I prefer to grill the food ourselves without a stranger standing nearby, so we can talk freely during family and friend gatherings.
Felt Rushed, Not Relaxed The food quality was decent, but the service pace ruined the entire experience. The staff cooked everything for us at an incredibly fast pace, piling food on our plates without a break. We felt like the main goal was to get us out the door as quickly as possible for a high table turnover rate. It completely defeated the purpose of a sit-down meal with friends. We left feeling stuffed and stressed, not satisfied.

The ambiance was nice, but the food was mediocre and the service was terrible—definitely not worth the high price, and I won’t be coming back. Our waiter never smiled and seemed impatient throughout the entire meal. He kept rushing us—prompting us to order quickly, checking in repeatedly to see if we wanted boxes, and giving off a vibe like he couldn’t wait for us to leave. We spent $170 for just two people and were only there for an hour, he started to rush us when we just sit for 40 minutes, yet the experience felt hurried and uncomfortable. He also did the tableside grilling, but cooked everything at once, which meant the food got cold quickly unless we rushed to eat. -Prime beef short ribs: below average quality -Beef tongue: overcooked and served all at once, so most of it was cold by the time we ate it -Tofu soup: the worst I’ve had at a Korean restaurant—while the ingredients seemed fresh, the soup base tasted like something from a supermarket Seafood pancake: deep-fried and not worth ordering Overall, very overpriced for such a disappointing meal and poor service.
The good: The food tastes very good here. we really liked the food. but i feel it is over rated The Bad: It is ridiculous that this restaurant added on a 20% for themselves. be careful when paying the bill they add 20% and suggest additional tips of 18% 20%…. you might accidentally give them a huge tip since they already added the 20% 2025-07-17 went back again. same tipping policy 😟. they are kind of scamming customers. $700+ is ridiculous for the amount of food we received
Overall, the service was good and the wait time was short. The quality of the meat is decent if you opt for the higher-grade cuts like the A5 wagyu, but the portions are extremely small for the high prices you’re paying. Unfortunately, the rest of the menu fell flat. The wagyu bibimbap, wagyu mandoo, bossam, and cold noodles were all mediocre and bland, lacking the bold flavors you’d expect. The banchan selection was also disappointing. Overall, this isn’t a place I’d recommend returning to if you’re craving good Korean BBQ.

We arrived at 10 Butchers at 7:40 PM on a Thursday night - there were several people waiting, and they told is it would be 45 mins for a table. OK, no problem, we ordered drinks and waited. At 8:15 we were seated. The server then came over and informed us that the kitchen was closing, and we had to put our entire order in immediately. Not more than 3 minutes after sitting down. Adding to that, they were out of several of the beef options, so even though we had spent some time deciding on our order, we had to change things around. The food came out quickly. Banchan were very small portions, and uninteresting. The meat itself was quite good, no complaints. Then, shortly afterwards, we were informed that no more sides or drinks would be available so if we wanted anything we had to decide on the spot. About halfway though the meal, our server showed up with the bill, and told us we had to pay now because they were closing out the cash. It was around 8:45 - we had only been seated for half an hour. And then, a few minutes later, the bright "bar closing time" lighting came on. We took the hint and left. Time: 9:15. So - $500 for dinner for 5 people, and rushed and rudely treated from beginning to end. We won't be back - there are better options.
One of the waitresses (45-55y/o female) dedicates 110% of her life energy to earning more tips. 1) Pushes you to order a lot: right after we (4 ppl) picked 2 meats and a seafood pajeon (totaling ~$150), she immediately said "pick 2 more meats". She looked visibly disappointed when we said we're not that hungry and ordered another galbi tang 2) She tries to get us out the restaurant ASAP so she can serve another table. When we were still eating our BBQ beef, she slapped the strawberry yogurt deserts on our table along with the bill. We were only 40 minutes in. We left 50 min after we sat down. Why the rush? Your food is really good but the experience is garbage. Never finished KBBQ in 50 minutes before..
We visited this restaurant today and were served by a waitress named Sunny. We ordered one appetizer, one meat dish, and one main dish, and mentioned that we wanted to start with that and might order more later. She told us that the minimum order of meat for two people is two meat dishes. I’m not sure if that’s actually a strict rule, but we agreed. She also mentioned several times that the portions were very small. In our opinion, the portions were completely normal — honestly, one steak would have been enough for us. The overall atmosphere felt very hectic. Staff were constantly moving around, and the waitress was at our table very frequently. At one point I moved the plates to arrange them in a way that felt more comfortable, but she moved them back. I understand that some people might appreciate this style of service, but we were hoping for a more relaxed and private dining experience. Instead, it felt like we were being closely managed the entire time. What stood out the most was the tone of the interaction. As customers, you expect to feel welcomed, but the experience felt more like we were being told how things had to be done. It almost felt as if we were guests expected to follow the waitress’s rules rather than customers simply trying to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, the overall service left us with a negative impression after our visit.
