After a great hike with family and friends, Havana Kitchen was the perfect ending to our day. Incredible food, outstanding service, and such a great atmosphere. We ordered the Ropa Vieja with white rice, black beans, and platanitos maduros, absolutely authentic and packed with flavor. The Fricasé de Pollo was just as delicious, tender and perfectly seasoned, served with white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. We also tried three empanadas: pollo con cilantro y queso, pollo con mojito, and carne molida, each one fresh, crispy, and full of amazing taste, and the pan cubano con queso was simple but so satisfying. The café cubano was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. Everything tasted authentic and full of flavor. Thank you, Havana Kitchen in Temecula — we loved it! Definitely going back and recommending it to friends and family.
I've been here with a friend and definitely like the Cuban Sandwich. The vibe is pleasant and the music is lively. This spot always seems busy inside but everyone is nice with each other. This time that I went alone, I ordered the Empanadas Dish. I ordered 2 Veggie and 1 Beef. The rice was buttery and the beans were good flavor. I wish they had Dr. Pepper because I do not really like Coke and maybe next time ask for sour cream of some sort for my plantains, but overall the cashier was friendly and she was doing a good job managing the line of customers that just kept lining up. Good job!
Yummy delicious roast pork dish with rice, beans, plantains. Fantastic flavors!! Just like my mami used to make! Worth the trip!!
❤️🇨🇺 Love this Cuban spot! The red + golden glow makes it super cozy and relaxing. Every little detail in the décor—from the artwork to the meaningful words on the walls—really captures the authentic spirit of Cuba. The food is fresh and light (never greasy!), and the coffee ☕✨… wow, so rich and aromatic—I couldn’t leave without grabbing two bags of beans! Friendly staff + cute little details (even a cat 🐱) made my visit extra special. Definitely coming back!
We’re back at Havana Kitchen in Temecula, and honestly, it feels so good to be here again. After a recent trip to Miami, we drove around for hours looking for a Cuban restaurant that serves breakfast—including empanadas—and couldn’t find a single place in Miami nor the surrounding area ! You drove around for a couple hours at least ! Can you believe that? It made us appreciate Havana Kitchen even more, so now we tell everyone: this is hands down the best Cuban spot in the world. This time, we had their fresh potato balls, which were prepped just yesterday, and of course, their incredible ropa vieja. It’s my favorite, and they make it even better as a breakfast dish by simply adding an egg on top. Pure perfection. And their café con leche? It’s unbeatable—sweet, warm, and so comforting. I’d take it over Better Buzz (the coffee shop down the street) any day. Their drinks are great, but Havana Kitchen’s café con leche is on another level. We also grabbed a Chicken Cilantro Empanada Kids Meal to-go because it’s our firstborn’s favorite, and honestly, it’s so good I might get one for myself next time. I’m just so thankful to have such an incredible Cuban restaurant so close to home. Havana Kitchen really is the best!
I had a spicy papa bowl with the cuca chai coffee. Food was fresh and good portions. Lady had ropa vieja which she enjoyed immensely. Lady had "mother earth" latte. Coffee was AMAZING! I got the naughty latte to go. VERY slow on a busy Sunday morning. Hopefully they were just understaffed. I am happy to wait, for a great experience. Quality was great!
Great spot for Cuban food! This is the third Cuban restaurant I've tried, and it's definitely been the best so far. The flavors were bold and authentic, and everything tasted freshly made with high-quality ingredients. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which is a nice plus. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the ordering process—you order at the counter, and while the food menu is easy to find, the coffee menu is only available at the counter itself, which can get crowded. Overall, highly recommend this place if you’re craving flavorful, well-prepared Cuban food!
I absolutely loved this place. The food and service were exceptional. As a Mexican from Oaxaca, I always look for a restaurant that feels welcoming, and this place truly exceeded my expectations. I had the ropa vieja, and it was delicious. I can't wait to bring my whole family here. I'm not sure if it was the owner or the manager, but he went out of his way to find something spicy for me, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommend!
Everything was fantastic. The restaurant was family friendly, with high chairs. The food was delicious (we ate the plates complete with rice, beans, and sweet plantains). The coffee was strong, which I appreciate! Service was kind and there was plenty of seating. This place filled up fast.

Place is located in the Old Temecula plaza so the parking can get packed, mostly street parking nearby. I came here to try their Cubano sandwich, beef empanadas and potato rellano. They did sell out of their potato rellano which is seasoned potato balls but I got my empanadas and a spicy Cubano with a side salad. The salad was good, fresh and crispy with a vinaigrette dressing. The Cubano was good, bread slightly burnt at the bottom when they left it on the presser for too long. It was still good, the roast pork and ham was juicy and the mustard was not overpowering the spicy mojo sauce. The pickles gave a nice crunch and the melted Swiss cheese went well with the rest. The empanadas I got were the original beef with seasoned ground beef and chicken mojo which was filled with shredded chicken in mojo sauce and melted cheese. I liked the beef more but both were good. The sauce that came with them goes well with both. The staff is nice and the place is clean but dim inside. Water cup is self served and you order on the register before seating yourself.
Havana Kitchen serves what might be the best Cubanos I've had outside of Cuba. Their array of sangrias, coffee, pastries, and plantain dishes really serve to round out the fare for a perfect lunch / cafe spot that complements their relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, the wait was horrendous during this visit, taking >1 hour to get our food after ordering. I'll give the benefit of the doubt that this is atypical, as I visited during a busy holiday weekend, but something to be aware of if anyone is looking for a quick bite. Still, the Cubano was well worth the wait.
Placed order for a bowl and an empanada.. 11am \nfood great but I waited 40 minutes??? This always seems to be the case..never experienced a waiting time this long as this place

I love Cuban food and this place does not disappoint..The good, the food is very good , the bad.. is the hit and miss on service. Each time I have been here the wait is usually long...the last time is the last straw..on a half full restaurant on a nice Sunday it took 30 mins for our food to arrive, and then I ask the young server why the long delay she stated" 30 mins is the norm for restaurant food" and her tone was very dismissive..then I ordered garlic bread and it took 17 minutes.. but then another young lady server was very nice....unfortunately not the one we had..Make sure you are not too hungry when you get there, you'll be disappointed...
So sad. I wanted to love this place but unfortunately my experience wasn’t the best. Came in for brunch (not busy) and they had limited menu and drink items. No beef empanadas and no beer. So a mimosa it was. That’s where it got weird. We were served warm mimosas because it was their “last one, and someone didn’t refrigerate it. Instead of offering to chill it on ice, they offered ice in a cup , in addition to applying the tip on top of the taxed total. Hmmmm…probably won’t be back. On the plus side. The food was alright and the cashier that took our order was very sweet.
Went there for the first time to order sandwiches to go. The food is pretty good. The service is terrible. I waited at least an hour for a to go order. Not sure why a couple of sandwiches would take so long. I noticed even the people seated, were waiting a very long time to get food to their table. I saw 3 people in the kitchen. Seems like plenty of cook staff so, there must be a problem; organization, management, something. If you decide to give it a try, make sure you have PLENTY OF TIME TO SIT AND WAIT.......AND WAIT!
Let me start off by saying, DO NOT COME STARVING. On a Sunday afternoon primetime, there were only two employees running the front of the house. Both were simultaneously responsible for busing tables, serving to tables, taking orders, and making drinks. It took 15 min to place an order and then 45 min from placement to dish on table. I timed all of this because I was very hungry. The customers in front of me on line left so that helped to speed up the order time to 15 min. The food and drink itself aren't bad. But the entire dining experience of waiting THAT long for one basic dish (ropa vieja aka shredded beef per their Americanized menu). I hope the owners or managers are able to read this and take this into consideration. I'm too hangry to comment on the food itself. There's potential...but please staff accordingly to make dining time more reasonable. Not everyone has an hour to spend just to wait for food.

I'm just incredibly annoyed, to be honest. So much went wrong here. First, they totally got my friend's drink wrong. She ordered a hot chai latte and they gave her a coffee drink. She can't drink coffee. So I guess no regard for food ailment?. Second, they remade it and it was literally hot water with some liquid spice. Third, my salad took over 30 minutes and my friends sandwich almost an hour. Forth, they allow animals/pets inside. Finally, one of the cooks/runners/kitchen staff was sick; I clocked his super red nose, coughing and blowing his nose right at the front counter. We just asked for to go boxes and left immediately. My salad was fine but it's hard to screw up rice, beans and lettuce. My friend's Bodega sandwich was the most sad, dry, mediocre sandwich we've seen; and we've had bodega's before. The front staff also looked and acted so annoyed with everyone coming up to her. Should've known when we walked in and saw a restaurant full of people and numbers and no food coming out. Positives: my iced latte was really good. And that coffee drink originally delivered to my friend was tasty. Skip this place and go to The Cuban Hut.
For my first visit I was excited to try a new spot. My first interaction at the register was very pleasant and was very enthusiastic about the menu and the items I ordered (chai late and bodega sandwich). I sat down and patiently waited for my order. The drink came out first and smelt wonderful. I had ordered a chai and received coffee. At the register there was a different women now taking orders and I asked for a remake of what I ordered, which seemed to confuse her (red flag) and continued to wait. My remade drink came and it was just hot water with a little bit of steamed milk. At this point im waiting for my food. 45 minutes have gone by and my patience has run out. I ask to change my order to go. About 10 minutes later my order comes out. I check it before I go and it looks rushed as if they had completely forgotten about the food order. $14 for a very sad breakfast sandwich. Mostly bread. Very disappointed and would not recommend.
I've been coming to this place for years. The service has always been less than mediocre which is why we always order our food to go. However, there are aren't many Cuban spots in the area and the food was decent so we continued to go. This last visit, the service was terrible. The girl at the register seemed irritated by our presence. We didn't get a hello, or how can I help you. We continued to be kind despite the poor customer service. We asked what pastry she would recommend, her answer.. "I don't know. I don't know what you like." We ordered 8 food items, pastries and coffee. We were given 3 small sauces for all the food we ordered. We asked for two more and she looked like she was about to blow a fuse. This type of poor customer service should be unacceptable.
