La Roma Pizza & Subs

I’ve be a fan since the 1st restaurant by the lake years ago. Staff is always friendly and food is always delicious! Highly recommend!

I have been eating at La Roma since 2007 when their only store was out by Temple Lake Park. It’s incredible to see them expand to two stores in temple! Today I had an exceptional experience at the store on West Adams, Miss Laila made an calzone for me, and made sure to tell me she made it extra tasty for me, and she was right. La Roma has always been the best place to get pizza and subs in my opinion.

My boyfriend and I had La Roma for the first time about a month ago and loved it! We are very picky about pizza (I'm especially picky about pepperoni pizza) and don't order from chains such as Domino's, Little Caesar's, etc. La Roma pizza is our new favorite and we are willing to make the drive from Dallas to go get a couple pizzas and save one or two to cook later. They taste great reheated in the oven. They recently added online ordering which has been very convenient. The team at La Roma are all so nice and we absolutely love that it's a family owned and operated business. I recommend trying - you'll find yourself only wanting La Roma pizza moving forward!

I've been to this restaurant several times. The food and service is great. I know I can order ahead of time but always wait until I get there because the atmosphere is relaxing. See you again soon

First time there. Was driving around and wife wanted to try a new place and saw their place on West Adams. Small and clean place, polite staff. Food came out in a reasonable time. Was not totally expecting such good New York style pizza. Been to New York and was very comparable to what I got there. Will try them again. Price was reasonable as well.

I love this family owned establishment. Quality food and great service. Their Italian sub is my favorite. Take a step away from the big box stores and give this local spot a try and thank my review later. Do be patient as they are effected by the staffing issues plaguing this country at the moment. Landmarks like this are what make our community unique. Really can't go wrong here at all. Try the Greek pizza and get a cannoli!1

Found this gem HALAL place while passing through Temple Texas on our way to Houston Texas. We were greeted with a smile and the food we ordered was great and best part it was HALAL . We ordered Pizza, chicken fettuccini pasta and Gyro sub. All tasted great. I would recommend any one who is passing through temple tx to stop by .

It has rich flavors and fresh ingredients. Today, we ordered a large pizza with sausage, Canadian bacon, gyro meat, green bell peppers, and onions. It's absolutely delicious!! It can get pricey depending on the size, but considering how tasty this pizza is, the price doesn't really matter. If you haven't tried this place, you don't know what you're missing!! We always wondered if this place had any connection to Nikki Roma's in the mall. Either way, they get our vote!

The portions for the food are large and cooked very well. Staff was super helpful with selection for the menu and what they recommended. To top it off the ambiance made it great with the classic Italian music and warm hospitality.

Enjoyed eating here with my family. The staff was very personable and inviting. My son said this was the best spaghetti he had ever had. The pizza and crust were amazing. Very authentic. Would recommend, we will be coming back on our next visit.

Went to La Roma for pizza. I ordered a pizza roll; it's very close to the calzone concept. The dough was really good—crispy on top and fluffy. The filling, which was beef with Alfredo sauce, was alright; it was lightly seasoned. I believe I picked the wrong item; next time I will pick a pizza or something popular.

The marinara has a little bit of a bite to it and yhe bread sticks are soft and easy to chew.

Food was fast and fresh. Prices were fair and the over all cleanliness was satisfactory. I would recommend this place to others.

Before recently, the last time I had La Roma's was probably 15 years ago when it was still located on the way out towards Temple Lake Park. My memory tells me I really liked it back then. I specifically remember an incredible calzone I had from them. Unfortunately, when I visited recently I was far from impressed. In spite of eating my lasagna basically out of the sauce, my bowl was still half full of nothing but sauce when I was through. I really couldn't taste anything other than sauce & there was barely cheese to speak of. The ricotta and/or cottage cheese blend traditionally found in lasagna wasn't there at all. There was also no bread served with it like most Italian eateries offer. My friend & I came for a late lunch. There were no other customers. There was also no employee monitoring the front of the store. When we needed something, we had to loudly call for someone to come up to the front counter.

Pizza delivered, was cold, the pizza is very lack luster, the cheese sticks are just frozen ones, ordered the chocolate moose cake, it was delivered completely frozen. Over priced cheap pizza, I would not ever order from again, there are too many pizza places around that produce quality pizza in temple this one is a loss.

The young fellow said he doesn’t maintain website but will tell the one that does. AND the pizza was like cardboard, had 2pieces of bell pepper, no onions… etc worse pizza I have had! I have bought from La Roma’s when they were further down the road on Adams… This was horrible.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is ridiculous. I waited a whole hour almost for my order and when I got it, I asked for a manager she said that he was available and then turns around and tells me he’s not available when she sees that I’m irritated. This was a Favor order also so this wasn’t just me irritated. My customer was irritated and when I told them that this is ridiculous they sat there and blamed it all on me. That’s ridiculous. How is this my fault it was the crew that was working on the date. 11/22/24 at 8:30 pm they were so disrespectful. I hope you pull back the cameras and watch them as they talk to me so rudely saying that they can’t get a manager and blaming me for everything. I will never come back to this place. Honestly, I’ve never even been to this place until I got this Favor order which was a huge mistake because they just ruined my whole night. I don’t understand how you blame someone for a pizza whenever they’re the ones that work there and the pizza took a whole hour for them to make, and it was completely dead. There was no one in the store but me so that’s quite ridiculous coming from someone who actually worked at Domino’s when it was very, very busy and none of our orders took an hour to do so. I hope this owner sees this and realizes that that crew that night has horrible customer service. In the beginning, I was nice, but after they blamed me for everything who wouldn’t react To that like obviously I’m gonna defend myself because I know that ain’t my fault and then I also heard them going in the back talking crap saying she says she’s been waiting here for an hour Said I have proof if y’all need to see it also they told me I could of reassigned it if I wanted too like they know what they are talking about, and I can’t reassign it without it affecting me and my score my ratings go down if you do that and when that happens I don’t get good offers for orders so it makes me loose money so they need to stop acting like they know what they are talking about when it comes to favor and delivery service. I’ve got two photos here one is when I finally left the store and the second is when I finally delivered it Looks like I’m not the only one either there’s took a hour and 15 so that goes to show something

Just left this place. The food was okay, service okay, however as we were sitting and talking I noticed some bugs- not gnats, BUGS- crawling out of the red pepper flake shaker that we had just used 🤢 will definitely not be going back.

The way the staff treated my mother in law after someone stole her door dash pizzas is just uncalled for. We love to have good local pizzerias, but this experience is a good example about why you can at least rely in chains to make these situations right.

The manager was incredibly rude. He charged me 81cents for a side of marinara when they forgot it in my previous order. When I informed the manager he said “It wasn’t me” with no apologies. Too bad I used to go there a lot and tip well. The boys that work during the day are real sweet. They just lost a good paying customer.

Sat there for almost an hour after calling our order in and once we got there to pick our food up we paid. The entire time we waited they were waiting for us to pay which we did. Got our pizza and arrived home just to have somewhat warm pizza. For as long as we waited the food should have been hot, oh and our dessert was frozen. If I could give zero stars I would, but I guess you get what you pay for. I’ll stick to my mall pizza, it is WAY BETTER! Only went to this place because they were closed.

Delivery time was horrible, it took an hour and 15 minutes when I live less than 5 miles away. And when delivered, I handed the driver a hundred dollar bill and without telling me my amount or grabbing me change started walking back to his car, where I then had to stop him and ask what the total amount was, told him to then keep the tip since he'd lost my business anyways.

I was given two frozen pieces of cake that took about 3 hours on my counter to defrost before I could try them.. To which they were very obviously freezer burnt and dried out. I called the store and was basically laughed at and told there’s nothing wrong with a frozen piece of cake and that my cake was fine. He said that they do wrap and store them in the freezer and that they tried to thaw them out when I order them. My complaint wasn’t that they were frozen (tried to give the benefit of the doubt. But even that is not okay) but that I’m unable to consume them. The manager, Logan Martinez, had a very argumentative demeanor and did not offer once to make this right. Instead he argued that I was wrong and he was right. He then proceeded to put me on “hold” and then just hung up on me. He couldn’t give me any information on how to contact someone other than him. So in other words, I spent $15.55 on two pieces of cake that I’m unable to eat. It’s so hard to support local when the staff isn’t trained on customer service skills (The white spots on the cake are all ice crystals)
