This is a real oasis in Teotitlan del Valle! The menu is excellent and includes delicious chicken mole and other traditional Oaxacan dishes. There is even a salad on the menu with tasty dressing. Everyone, including the owner and staff, is hospitable and welcoming. The garden in the center patio is quite beautiful. I understand that rooms can be rented as well. I highly recommend El Descanso!

Muy buenos platillos, bebidas, locación y amabilidad le doy está calificación por dos cosas agilidad en el servicio y el sabor del mole negro, por todo lo demás un lugar muy muy recomendable para comer.

Me gusta mucho el lugar, la atención de las meseras deja un poco que decir ya q se tardaron mucho en llevarnos unas cervezas q pedimos, son un poco distraídas.. Pero lo recomiendo para pasar una tarde en familia súper a gusto...!!!!

The food was fine but nothing very exciting or interesting (I was trying my first tlayudas). The staff seemed slightly annoyed that we were there. On the plus side, the setting is gorgeous!

We went in here because it was right across from where we parked, and we thought it looked nice. There's no cell service in town to look for it. The place is cute and interesting, however, the service and the food leave a lot to be desired. The girl who served us had such a sour face that I felt bad for even going in and giving her work 😅 So we just ordered memelas and some soups. The chicken soup was actually very good, very well prepared, but the tortilla soup tasted like raw tomato, 0/10. The memelas were nothing special. The strange thing was that I never really felt comfortable. I felt like I was being watched, or I don't know how to explain it, I didn't like that feeling. I really wouldn't go back 🥹

Had a tlayuda and the guacamole. Had to wait half an hour, while a little girl was using her phone on maximum volume. The atmosphere is beautiful, but the tlayuda wasn't good and the loud noise was annoying.

Se tardan mucho para servirte. Los platillos son muy pequeños. Aunque la comida está aceptable no volvería.

La comida no es muy buena. La relación platillo precio no es la más adecuada. Caro paro lo que sirven

The place is very nice. But, I would definitely NOT return. Almost as we finished our lunch, the restaurant's mascot relieved himself a meter from our table. The smell made our stomachs turn. As soon as we could, we left, feeling like we were about to throw up. We informed the staff about this situation. Our experience was a shame.

Super cute place, but indecent food. I ordered chickpea soup and they brought me a watery, burnt brown broth that could have passed for sock chocolate coffee. My companions also ordered soup, with better results, but just barely. Anyway, no soup at this restaurant, which has an otherwise charming decor.
