Red Torch Ginger - Sandyford

I’ve been to Red Torch Ginger a few times now, and this was my fifth visit – it never disappoints! The flavors here are absolutely fantastic and so well balanced. I really appreciate that it’s not just delicious but also very reasonably priced, which makes it easy to keep coming back. They have a great selection for vegetarians and vegans, which is always a big plus. The highlight for me this time (as always!) were the noodles – so flavorful and satisfying. And if you have room for dessert, the brownie with ice cream is a must-try. Honestly, it’s one of the best sweet endings you can get in Dublin.

Lovely Asian restaurant. We dropped in for lunch soon after it opened (1pm on Sunday). We had no reservation but were immediately seated in a booth near the window. The place was quiet when we arrived but began to fill as we left. I had green Thai chicken curry and my wife had sweet and sour chicken. Both dishes were excelkent. The main course, two glasses of wine and two lattes cost €73. Service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was pleasant.

Went here for a birthday dinner. Accidentally booked the one in town but the guys in Sandyford were great and managed to accommodate us on short notice. Food was excellent, the tamarind duck being the highlight. Cocktails were also incredible. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The place can be a tad on the noisy side but overall we loved it.

I brought 8 people for a birthday celebration and the food was truly amazing . Everyone just loved their dishes and none left on anyone’s plate and portion size was good !! All said too good to leave . ! Decor and Ambience was stunning the staff were very attentive . We Will definitely be back .well done to all involved .

The food here is legit the best Thai food I have ever had in Ireland. The food tastes so fresh, it's so flavorsome and you feel great after. Highly recommended.

Excellent food, great care taken with the cocktails - try the Old Fashioned with Cinnamon, Manager him and her puts heart into it. Always a great welcome. Menu is extensive- hard to point to one dish - but aromatic duck to start (see pic) is great. Big effort made on interior from the previous. Recommended

Early Sunday lunch, just when they opened at 2pm. Food was so good, everything was fresh and delicious. Chicken wings as a starter and Chicken Massaman curry as main. Very friendly staff.This place looks amazing inside, loads of beautiful decorations. Also great value lunch deal.

It is really nice place. The food was amazing and staff were lovely. The decoration inside was amazing. We were lucky that we went during Christmas time. It was a really nice light show inside

Omg the most delicious food staff are lovely I’m not a fan of spicy but the massaman was perfect choice for me I switched the potato for mushrooms yummy! Loved the atmosphere and decor too!

The ambience at Red Torch Ginger is top-notch with a beautifully designed interior. I had the chilli beef with steamed rice, and the beef was incredibly tender and flavorful. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the complimentary champagne upon arrival was such a thoughtful gesture. The dim sum starter was excellent, and the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. We will definitely be back!

Went to Torch Ginger for my birthday dinner, and it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely amazing, the drinks were perfect, and the service was exceptional. A huge thank you to Alex and the Indian gentleman (we forgot to ask his name) for their warm and attentive service—they really made the night special. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend!

Fantastic food. Had two vegetarians in our party a fish allergy, a person that loves spice and two people not able to handle spice - and there was plenty of choice for all. Food quality was fantastic as well. But the stand out for us was our server, Mani - great recommendations and we all left so happy. With how expensive it is to eat out these days, this place did not disappoint, and would come back in a heartbeat!

Great place for a date night. Awesome looking ambience and nice vibe with the artificial trees and lights. The staff was friendly the service tad fast. Nice detailed menu with many options and allergens info.

Really tasty food and generous proportions. Highly recommended the steamed seabass, so much fish! Also the noodles were a meal in itself. Staff were all smiles, attentive and professional. Good atmosphere and the bancok dangerous cocktail was a real palette cleanser. Most enjoyable

This place is really lovely and inviting. Really nice vibe inside with the artificial trees and lights. The food was delicious and piping hot, exactly what you’d want. I got a red curry dish with steamed rice and while it was delicious, full of vegetables and lovely chicken, it was very runny and not thick at all, but still tasty. The rice was nicely made as well. The staff here is very kind and helpful and are always ready to take your order. Dessert was wonderful, and one of the first places where the banoffee pie wasn’t too hard to cut through with a spoon unlike other experiences I’ve had in different places, which was a bonus point for me anyways! Overall this is a lovely, organized, clean and vibey place.

Great ambiance and service! Tried the Massaman Curry and Green Chicken Curry—both were fantastic. Authentic tastes, attentive staff, and a cozy vibe. Highly recommend! .

The ambience in the restaurant was really great. The cocktails were good, the food was okay. Took a while for the food to arrive and the kitchen also closes quite early. Pricing was moderate.

1 st time there to celebrate a friend's birthday. Had rang to reserve , and asked for comfortable seating area. On arrival brought to a very nice seating area , lovely decor overhead with fake cherry blossom tree. Restaurant lovely lights. Not too crowded when we went. Service very prompt and fast. Food tasty. Had requested a birthday candle for my friend and came in time after the meal. Bill reasonable.Very pleasant staff.

The food (price/performance) was good. The service was also fast and staff was polite. The only critique can be for dessert. The chocolate brownie was very average. But overall it was a nice place and hope to be there again.

Nice place for a date. Had dinner. The menu is quite expensive. You can expect Mains around 25 to 30€ easy. The staff is very welcoming. 10/10 for ambience with cherry blossoms decor. Limited parking in the front, around 5 slots. Pre-booking is recommended. We liked starters but the mains were pretty basic. Tried chilli seabass, but it was okay.

A really beautiful restaurant with a lovely setting. We chose the lunch menu (€21 for a starter and main), which offered generous portion sizes. The food was nice and well presented, and we enjoyed the experience overall, though it didn’t quite stand out compared to some other places we’ve been. Still a pleasant spot for lunch in a lovely setting.

I went to dinner with my friends. The atmosphere was nice but the employees were rushing to take the order. They behavior like a come on order as soon as possible. The food was also bad. We ordered chicken and meat but it smelled. We could only eat noodles because we were so hungry and we were not satisfied. They need to be careful about the meat. We could not eat as a group.

I placed an order for collection and went into the restaurant to pick it up. When I arrived, the order wasn’t ready yet, which was a bit disappointing but not a major issue. What did concern me was the interaction with staff. A lady came out with two orders, one of which was for Deliveroo, and asked for an order number. I explained that I had ordered for collection and gave my partner’s name, which was on the order. She then assumed I was a Deliveroo driver and, in a very unprofessional manner, checked through the order details before handing it to me. The whole interaction felt unnecessary and awkward, and the assumption made was quite uncomfortable. Better communication and a more professional approach to customers collecting their own orders would really improve the experience. The food was decent overall.

Ordered a take out for delivery. We ordered a red curry (duck) and a green curry (chicken) this evening. Having ordered from RTG sandyford on a few occasions and eaten at their Andrew Street restaurant many times, I was very disappointed with the red curry today. The gravy/sauce definitely lacked the usual delicious flavors. Also, there was a watery texture to the gravy. Very disappointed.

Overall, the dining experience was fine — the food was tasty, and the blonde female server was very kind and professional. However, I want to mention that the Indian manager referred to our table as “Chinese” of us. While it might have been an internal reminder to staff, hearing that label as a guest felt uncomfortable and inappropriate. It would be more respectful to say something like “the couple” or “the guests by the window,” rather than using nationality as an identifier in front of customers. Either don’t say it, or at least make sure guests don’t hear it. I simply hope to be treated with proper respect, not reduced to a label. There’s no need to reply to this comment — I’m not looking for explanations like “that’s not what he meant” or “you’re overthinking.” Even if that’s true, he still should have been more aware,He probably said it subconsciously and doesn’t even remember it himself, which only shows he’s unaware of the problem in the first place. 11.12 night I hope the restaurant can improve staff training on communication and cultural sensitivity.🙃🙃

Pass by the restaurant as its only near us we don't hav booking we went in take our chances as few tables are vacant reception says will sit you in the bar then will get & transfer you to a proper table so we have a drink then surprise they get your order and never transfer to proper table even there's plenty vacancy food wise its Average seabass with chille lemon lime all fried just sauce very blond same with thai green curry watery salty starter prawn same all just ordinary battered with blant sauce so didn't go for the dessert anymore only ambience is nice .. good ambience with a average food ...

Ordered on Deliveroo cause had such a good rating as my GF and I wasnt some nibbles and a few beers. Was a terrible experience, order 4 singha and got 1 (which was refunded), but the starter plater we ordered for two was what most restaurants give for one person, and at nearly 15euros, the whole experience was a waste of time and we're both not pleased and have now ordered from somewhere else to actually have something to eat. Very disapointed and definitely won't order again from there

I order delivery so I cannot comment on the service or atmosphere but the food was not great. The Panang curry i got was so watery. The curry should be thicker and not like a broth. For nearly 17 quid it was unacceptable. The rice was soggy, too much water. The spring rolls were so small and they did not give me any sweet chili sauce. The wings were also mid. This should not be as expensive as it is. Seriously do not recommend if you want authentic Thai.
