We tried this fish restaurant yesterday and absolutely loved it! The ocean views were beautiful. Being able to watch the waves while enjoying such fresh, delicious fish made the experience even more special. Highly recommended!
We had a fantastic meal at The Jetty with excellent service and a lovely interior. To start, we had the padron peppers, scallops, and butternut squash soup. For mains we had the porchetta and ribeye, followed by sorbet for dessert. Every dish was delicious - highly recommend a visit.
Managed to book a late table to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and polite ☺️ The location is superb with amazing views 👌 The food was nothing short of excellent and great value. They made it very special by finishing our dinner with a complimentary dessert plate which was such a lovely surprise ❤️ We honestly couldn’t fault the place, thank you for a fabulous evening! 🥰
My family took me for dinner here for my birthday on Sunday. There was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly and welcoming in fact the service was excellent, and the food... Wow delicious. Well presented and thoroughly cooked. Only slight criticism prawns slightly over cooked but better safe than sorry. They were delicious though. I would definitely recommend 👌
The best this year's toffee pudding, such a nice location for the people who love the sea like me. I met the sunset with decent toffee pudding with caramel sauce, biscoff crumbs and ice cream, yum. The perfect sweet end of the March Saturday. They have a nice kids menu as well, we are going tomorrow to try it with my little one.
My wife and I arrived starving and without a booking and the delightful staff was super accommodating by squeezing us, even though they were fully booked. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. Great food, service, views and very reasonably priced for the quality. We got the fish cake, scallops, mac n' cheese, fully loaded chips and bombolinis. The only bad thing about this restaurant is it's so far from London, but we'll be sure to dine here the next time we're in Kent.
I had a lovely time at Jetty. The food was amazing, and the breathtaking view along with the warm, friendly service made the experience twice as enjoyable.
We were very lucky to get a table at opening time (noon on a Sunday ) Everything was fresh , delicious and Alice looked after us so well . Would highly recommend !
Attended here for dinner and the service was exquisite. Ordered the special of king prawns for starter which was amazing. Ordered pan fried cod for mains which was ok. Didn’t get chance to try the dessert as we were stuffed. Would recommend.
This is a well run restaurant with delicious food, efficient service and a nice atmosphere. The location is very good, on a jetty (as the name suggests) by the sea. The food is good quality. To be super critical, the skate wing had a tad too much salt on one side, and the cheese cake biscuit was slightly too hard. But these are minor points on what was a decent meal. The waitresses work as a team rather than being territorial. As a result, they're quick and do a good job. A car park is next to the restaurant. You can pay using RingGo.
We traveled to Broadstairs for the day with no bookings and gave the Jetty a go. They were booked up but were so helpful and were able to squeeze us in. The food was delicious! We couldn’t stop talking about the flavours and even after we finished eating we could have ordered more! This is a real hidden gem plus the views are something special.
Had one of our best date nights here by a long way! Delightful staff, delicious food and absolute bangers on in the background. Loved their Winter Spritz as well ♥️
Okay where do I start? The food and drink were great. But I want to just say here how welcoming the staff were. They were fun and friendly, with a real warmth that made a guy on his own feel totally relaxed. I loved watching them host a birthday party with the same professionalism and care. I hope the owners see this and pass back to the staff that they made a guy under a lot of pressure feel at home. Every single member of staff (I interacted with maybe five) was next level attentive and personable. Thank you. Tmi but a tough time for me and wanted to say.x
A brilliant location with lovely food. Good options for vegetarians too. Eating good food with and amazing view and an atmosphere that is cosy (we were there in winter), but not stuffy made for a memorable meal. Update: Great in summer too.
Awesome food and service. Great view! Only thing we would have changed was the popcorn on the Dickens sharing board.
Stopped off for a mid morning coffee so cannot comment on food. Decent coffees (could have been a bit hotter) but delightful hot chocolates: definitely go for the cream and marshmallows as in the photo! My daughter loved it. Beautiful location right on the end of the jetty in Broadstairs, overlooking the beach. We were very lucky with the weather which help but if you want a great little pitstop which is dog friendly (outside only) with clean toilets you can't go far wrong here.
We had lunch here with our 2 young boys. It was delicious and a perfect end to our stay in Broadstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to our boys. I had a posh prawn cocktail to start, seabass special for mains and finished off with bombilinis. Everything tasted lovely start to finish. The boys had Scampi and chips, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Would recommend to anyone visiting Broadstairs to try this place. The views are amazing!
Such a fantastic evening meal, with the sun setting over the sea behind us. Delicious food at every course. Friendly and quick service. The food flavours were excellent and each course beautifully presented. Nice wine list and good offers on doubling up on the gin! All in all a lovely experience.
Exquisite food, tranquil setting for a reasonable price. Whilst on the beach with the family we noticed a this restaurant up above the beach by the cliff edge and thought we would give it a try. My son has quite a few food allergies so we called ahead just to check they could accommodate him. The staff were great, very considerate of his needs. All the food we had was excellent, presented well and brought to us by a very welcoming team of staff there. I really appreciated the select menu of well picked dishes and everything was reasonably priced. Would recommend booking ahead like we did for lunch as its not the biggest of restaurants and got quite busy. A great find on our random day out on viking beach.
What a place along the beautiful coastline..we were in awe of 3 things ...scenic view with serenity .. quality n presentation of food served with the best hospitality of staff.. I have never seen more courteous n welcoming team than here. Everything is so special .. special mention to chef who creates magic in food ..well deserved 5 star rating
The best prawn cocktail I've ever had, and I've had a few over the years... chicken Kiev was scrummy, but overshadowed by that delicious prawn cocktail 😋... fab location and super friendly service too, I will be back soon, promise...
How quickly booked this restaurant seems to get can only be a good sign. Enjoyed some good food, which was presented beautifully and tasted even nicer. The atmosphere is comfortable inside, and the staff were great too.
Arrived just as the restaurant started to get busy, so we decided to go for the takeaway, available from the hatch to the side of the restaurant. Ordered Prawn and crayfish in a toasted brioche bun, a chorizo hot dog and a side of truffle and parmesan chips. The service was great, friendly and efficient, no wait to order and the food arrived quicker than expected given how busy the restaurant was. The food was amazing, the prawn and crayfish brioche was so tasty and filled to overflowing, no scrimping here, the Chorizo hot dog was lovely and the truffle and parmesan chips delicious and perfectly cooked, so may too. Would highly recommend and we look forward to a return visit soon.
From start to finish we absolutely enjoyed our time at this incredible restaurant. The staff were all welcoming, but genuinely so, and very attentive. They made my five year old feel like the most important person in the world. The food was great and the view was perfect. Our first visit there but definitely not our last :)
Without a doubt the best food and dining experience we had all weekend. All of the food was 10/10, staff were attentive and polite and the views and location are great. You need to book and it gets really busy in the summer, so book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Had a lovely afternoon here yesterday celebrating a friend’s birthday. We had a cocktail in the bar first watching the waves crashing onto the jetty and then into the welcoming restaurant for a Sunday roast. All the food was lovely but the prawn cocktail was the highlight for me. Staff all super friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed - thank you.
Had an absolutely fab evening here. Two adults and two kids (6 and 10). Staff were so lovely and attentive and the food was excellent. Loved the cauliflower!!! I had the mussels as a main and ate every single one. Wine choice excellent and not massively overpriced. Decent kids meals and just generally a fab vibe. Will definitely come again.
Absolutely delicious meal here, there were 7 of us and we had a range of starters and mains, Sea trout, Tortellini, burgers and Mussels. Full credit to the staff who were really friendly and accommodating. Lovely spot, really recommend.
Delicious lunch. Great Gluten Free Options- mussels, scallops, duck breast and beef short rib all delightful. Good choice of draught pints. Service 11/10 can’t fault. Maybe music a tiny bit too loud (and random) but the place felt vibey. Would 100% return.
We enjoyed our lunch yesterday. We had a pre lunch drink with the friendly barman Simon and then tucked in to delicious moules marinere in the sunny well appointed restaurant overlooking the sea. Will definitely return on a sunny day!
Wow, great on all levels. Food excellent, service friendly and professional. Great decor, the place was full and I can see why. We will go back.
What a wonderful transformation. I can remember visiting this place years ago and eating fish and chips purchased from this black timber clad building. What a stunning restaurant and bar has replaced the old. Welcoming decor and staff. It's such a comfortable bar to relax and spark conversations in with picture windows looking out to sea. I would imagine the ideal spot all year through the seasons. Comfortable expensive furnishings that are even extended to the bathrooms. An area other owners often fail to include. My visit was only a coffee break, but I plan to book a table the next time im in the area.
We'll most certainly be back! The food was lovely - starters through to desserts. The setting is gorgeous. Service is good and the staff friendly. Worth every penny!
The Jetty has been on my list of places to try for years. The setting is beautiful and on the evening I visited with stormy seas and cold outside upon entering you feel like you have entered a little haven. Fire stove to welcome you with immediate warmth from the elements outside was just the start. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and welcoming as are the team of waiters and waitresses who really make the effort. The food choices had me stumped with so much delicious options. I had the scallops (off the specials board) to start. These were fantastic with lemon and garlic butter that was just right. As a main I was keen to try the pork but went with the duck due to it being accompanied by celeriac which I love. I made a good choice. The Duck was some of the best I have had for years. Perfectly cooked and tender. Wine choice was good and not overly expensive. To finish I didn't have a dessert but a coffee which as with everything else just right and very nice. Overall the only disappointment is that it's taken me this long to try The Jetty.
When the Jetty expanded into the unused area at the end of the pier, they made the inspired decision to build a warm, cosy bar into their plans. Large windows frame the sea, and you'll find low, comfy chairs, a high table with stools, seats around a real fire, and at the bar. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and you have a good selection of drinks. It's popular, so the only problem might be finding somewhere to sit. It's worth the effort though!
This was quite simply one of the best meals I've had in ages. The vibe and view are exceptional. Service was superb. The food outstanding, we had the prawn cocktail which was stuffed full of fresh prawns and not too much sauce, not too sweet either. Absolutely perfect. Then I had the duck, so tender and soft it almost melted in the mouth. The music was great and not too loud and wet didn't feel rushed. Everything was brilliant. Can't recommend highly enough
The food was absolutely delicious! We had an array of different dietary requirements and were met with so much patience. Everything we had was incredible; the panfried scallops and Bloody Mary cured salmon stood out massively. Would definitely recommend Jetty Broadstairs, and a wonderful bonus to have Anita as your server.
Had a delicious meal here tonight was reasonably priced and of a superb quality, unfortunately we were sat close to the kitchen an all four of us struggled with the smoke coming out of it even making our eyes sting a little and water. Also all of our clothes and stunk of smoke to the point where by we had to all was our outer wear. Great little spot with fantastic ambience fantastic decor just needs slightly better ventilation.
Pan-fried Scallops - 4 Star Jetty Beef Burger - 4 Star Dover Sole - 4 Star Christmas Pudding - 5 Star Coconut Pannacotta - 5 Star Service - 5 Star Atmosphere - 5 Star Location - 5 Star Great location with views across the English Channel. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Hits were Christmas Pudding with Brandy Sauce and Coconut Pannacotta. Burgers were nice but not a fan of burgers served on wooden serving boards, too small and makes a difficult eat. Recommend a visit.
Lovely spot overlooking Viking Bay. We sat outside for bistro dining. Food was nice - soft shell crab burger. Sadly you can't order the great-looking pizza when seated in the bistro - you can only get that to go.
Lovely place, great outlook onto Broadstairs bay. Service very good and staff friendly. Disappointed with the food, had muscles which were in a watery very salty liquid with chips which tasted reheated. Prawn cocktail very nice but in such a tall glass a little hard to eat. We had a bottle of wine which was not chilled.
We visited last early April and dined here. We sat outside overlooking the waters. Food was so so. Osyters were fresh though but the shrimp in the pasta was hard and seems overcooked. The taste is otherwise good. It was also hard to call the servers as we were outside and servers seemed very busy inside. Might not come back to this place. I would give the ambiance outside a thumbs up as it was relaxing (and not too sunny). Inside though was a bit crammed (limited space) so good thing we were seated outside.
So much potential, but needs a lot of work You couldn't get a better location, even with the limited seating this is the perfect summer spot for a drink, lunch or snack. However on our visit we were 'welcomed' by a fairly rude female member of staff and seated at our table with just a drinks menu in which I had to get a food menu myself. The menu looked promising and drinks prices were fairly reasonable. We ordered a few drinks, sourdough and parmesan/truffle fries... the drinks were great but our sourdough was burnt, butters were interesting but not pleasant and the fries tasted of those you'd expect from a local chippy... which I didn't have a problem with, but didn't go well with the truffle/parmesan topping.
Food and presentation is very good. Staff are lovely and friendly. However, don't understand why the bill carries so many mandatory taxes?! Tax A 20% is your usual tax but what's tax B if it is not a service charge of 12,5%?! Receipt says service is not included?! Super confusing, not visiting again
Strange place. The restaurant has a lovely position but they have some bizarre rule about not being to have drinks only on the terrace even if you order snacks. This might make sense in the height of summer but is odd when the terrace is otherwise empty and resulted in about 4 couples being turned away in the 45 minutes that we were there yesterday. For some of that time I had to stand up because they did not have enough stools in the ‘drinks only’ area. All in all, not very accommodating and left a bad taste in the mouth.
Got a couple of drinks here. Asked the barmaid if we could sit in the restaurant area which has a nicer view. She said no that was the restaurant. It was February at 3:00 o'clock on a Thursday and it was empty. Use some common sense and spend less time on your phone and have a bit of customer service.
The worst meal we've ever had, £34 ribye steak was absolutely disgraceful.... didn't even eat the second attempt as worse than the first one...we are a local B&B and always supported them but will be removing menus from our brochures immediately. Ruined our wedding anniversary... disgusting...
What a disaster! For my wife and I we booked a table for Saturday evening as a birthday treat for me. Arrived at time and got the smallest tablet in a corner with no legroom. I gave it a go but couldn't get both legs under the table and I was not prepared to stand for dinner on one leg the whole time. The waitress tried to give us another table but only for 45 min because it was then booked by someone else. So we had no other option as to leave. Is that the way to treat regulars? Ok. That was the last visit then. Broadstairs has plenty of good restaurants, so there is no reason why visiting again.
We booked a table for six at The Jetty in Broadstairs, but when our little one woke earlier than expected, we politely asked if an extra seat could be added. The response we got from Nicky was shockingly rude and dismissive. From the moment we arrived, her attitude was unwelcoming — she made us feel like an inconvenience rather than paying customers. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and frankly, embarrassing. We tried to stay calm and defuse the situation, but it was clear she was in a bad mood and had no interest in being helpful or kind. In the end, we felt so uncomfortable we decided to leave without even eating. This was our third visit, and sadly, the poor service seems to be a pattern — we left disappointed before but decided to give them another chance. Big mistake. Nothing has improved, and the staff remain unprofessional and cold. Truly terrible experience — rude service, zero warmth, and absolutely no sense of hospitality. We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly or family-friendly place to eat.
I had ordered a burger, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. My burger was extremely dry — the beef fell apart, and the bacon had a pool of fat that had already solidified by the time it reached the table. Another person in our group ordered a burger that arrived without bacon altogether. The chips were decent, but they were served in pots that were rusty and flaking apart. When I pointed this out to the waiter, their only response was, “Whaaat, rusty pots? We can’t have that,” without any apology or sense of concern. Rusty serving dishes are not just unappetizing but potentially unsafe, and I found the dismissive attitude very unprofessional. Overall, I left extremely disappointed — both with the food quality and the lack of basic hygiene and customer care.
