Buscábamos un lugar tranquilo y bonito y el Manantial es más, no es un lugar muy grande pero si muy limpio, bonito con vegetación y hermoso paisaje. Apto para que se bañen niños y adultos, El camino es retirado, pero pueden disfrutarlo también,la recompensa es cuando aparecen los azules de la Laguna ❤️

We were recommended by our accommodation in Bacalar to come here to access Los Rapidos and the lagoon at a much more affordable price. We took a colectivo taxi here and back from Bacalar, easy to flag one down on the main road. The walk is about 15 minutes from the main road and the road seems a bit remote but feels safe. When we arrived they have a sign with prices for kayak rental. It’s 40 pesos per person to enter the water and we paid 200 pesos for a Kayak for 2 hours. The owner was very relaxed and I think we could have had it longer for the same price if we wanted to. It’s about a 15-20 minute kayak to Los Rapidos but definitely worth it. We also had a life jacket. The facilities were basic but just what you needed. Clean toilets and changing facilities. Picnic benches and hammocks with shelter. Step access into the lagoon and the water was crystal clear. The owner doesn’t speak much English but is very friendly. I think they provide food but we didn’t eat there. Would definitely recommend!

De los rincones más bonitos que comprende la extensa laguna de bacalar. Buena carretera de terracería para accesar.$25 pesitos p/persona. No mascotas. Agua cristalina con tonalidades azules turquesas.

Merece la pena visitar el lugar, un poco sinuoso el camino a partir de la carretera federal, si bien pueden llevar alimentos para consumir tambien pueden comprar pescado frito en la cocina del lugar, preferible lleven todo para pasar un momento divertido.

Hi, this peaceful spot is located between Bacalar and Chetumal. It's beautiful for children and adults who don't know how to swim; there are no waves. The entrance fee is 40 pesos and the palapa is 100 pesos. You can bring your own food and drinks without any problem. There's also a restaurant with delicious and affordable food. I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back when I have the chance. Thanks!

Just a few kilometers from the city of Chetumal lies this beautiful place! The depth is perfect for those with children and adults who don't know how to swim or are just learning. There are no waves; the water is always calm. They have palapas, parking, and the cost is very affordable compared to other places. I think the entrance fee was $40 pesos per person. The palapa with tables was $100 pesos. They also have a restaurant where everything is delicious and reasonably priced. The gentleman who serves you is incredibly friendly. They have restrooms, and I was surprised by how spotlessly clean they are.

We ended up here because our neighbor didn't open at the stated time. That was our luck! It was very affordable and beautiful here! We went out in the kayaks, swimming, and snorkeling. We were the only ones there at around 10:30. Just bring your own food and drinks. Highly recommended! 😃

Spent a wonderful day here. Lazing in a hammock in the shade, rolling out every now and then for a swim. You pay a small fee for the cabana and per hammock. There's one hammock per cabana, but you can request an extra one. Kayak rentals are also available. We were there on a public holiday, and many Mexican families were there, all having barbecues. But we didn't have any trouble; everyone was friendly and easygoing. Don't expect anything touristy, just a beautiful spot on the lake.

My girlfriend and I rented a kayak today for 200 pesos per hour. We paddled all the way to the rapids and would recommend this experience to anyone, rather than booking through a rental company for significantly more money. The couple who rent out the kayaks are incredibly friendly despite the language barrier and even helped us find our lost money. All in all, a definite recommendation!

Very low key. Just a dude with a dock. Not high quality kayaks — they kept spinning in circles. Did I still have a good time? Absolutely! I got out at 8:30am and hit Los Rapidos before anyone else and only $300 pesos. This place has authentic charm.

Everything is out of order! No place to sit! The kayaks does not work! The owners are sitting lazy in a corner and just do nothing to improve the service.....there are many......much more better places around to have fun at the water! Do not go there😡
