Terrific food. Great service. Fantastic local vibes. Chill and have a long relaxing lunch over some superb wine. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone out in Toledo.
Some of the best Rabo de Toro you'll ever have! Delicious, would have appreciated a bit of a larger portion, but it was amazing. I docked 1 star as their online reservation system was difficult to use. I put in my credit card to secure the reservation but their system wasn't authorizing anything so I couldn't tell, did we have a reservation/ did we not?? Went over to the restaurant and they said no availability inside (online said they had some options) but we could sit on the terrace if we wanted. That worked well for us, it was a beautiful night and our waiter was so fun! The house marzipan - yum ♥️
My family came here for a Sunday lunch. The food was delicious. We had the duck breast and oxtail. The duck breast was juicy, tender, and packed full of flavor. Also, everyone loved their rendition of oxtail. They were very savory and melted in your mouth. Highly recommend if you're in Toledo. Check this place out!
Fantastic tasting buds experience! If you're really hungry (hard to imagine at 36°C at 8:30pm), this is not a place for you, as the portions are relatively small. Otherwise, each meal was fantastic. Apple (!) gazpacho/ raspberry (!) salmorejo with celery (!) ice-cream was tiny and a piece of art. Partridge, venison, pig cheeks, aged beef were all top notch (beef was a relatively big portion). Ponche Toledano, a layered mazapan cake with gold decoration was a hit, we just had to encore it for everyone. Mazapan is translated as Marzipan on the English menu, but is different from caramelized fruits in Italy (or, say, Seville): mazapan is an almond paste cake or cookie in Toledo. For wine, we had Panofino, the house Tempranillo, and it was superb (and a steal). Going to have another La Orza dinner tomorrow.
June 27, 2025. Must visit this restaurant when visiting Toledo. Tried five different appetizers including artichoke w/ octopus, apple gazpacho, potato salad, tomato salad, cured pork with aged cheese ice cream -- all amazing! The venison entree blew us away! The pig cheek stew and suckling pig were also excellent. We liked the food so much that we ordered "one of everything" from the dessert menu. Yummy!
We visited Toledo, Spain on May 5th, 2025, and had lunch at Restaurante La Orza. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner just a few minutes from Mirador de Toledo, a fantastic viewpoint for capturing the city’s beauty. We arrived about 30 minutes before opening, but the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They offered us water and even invited us in to charge our phones while we waited—such thoughtful hospitality! We ordered Lomo de Orza, Fideuá y vieiras, Cochinillo, and Delicias de Mazapán. Every dish was excellent, but the standout for us was the Lomo de Orza, which we were told was made with deer meat. The dish had deep, layered flavors that made it our favorite of the meal—truly memorable. Overall, we were very impressed. Restaurante La Orza is a must-visit when in Toledo. Highly recommended!
Maravaillosa. The service could not have been better; my Spanish is terrible but, even though they speak English, they stuck with me when I made it clear that I was going to try to use Spanish). The food was terrific; of particular note was the artichoke, squid and trout roe appetizer pictured below. It was as delicious as it was beautiful to look at.
During our day trip to Toledo last year, we had the pleasure of dining at Restaurante La Orza, and it was an unforgettable experience. We sat outside on a sunny November day, which was perfect for enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We ordered the Solomillo de Vaca and the Rape con habitas y arroz negro, both of which were exceptional. The highlight of the meal was the unique tomato sorbet with ice cream for dessert—an incredible and unforgettable combination that we haven’t found anywhere else since. The local beer was also a great touch. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Toledo. It’s a must-visit spot that combines amazing food with a great atmosphere!
Michelin-Quality food and experience that truly exhibits the greatness of the local, La Manchan cuisine. --- I visited for a 13:30 lunch with my wife as we were exploring Toledo for the day. I was excited to eat at a nice restaurant, and was especially excited that their focus was on food from La Mancha. The greeter was extremely friendly, and both he and the other server provided great service and were very accommodating throughout the day. My wife and I ordered on appetizer to share and then each got our own main plate. We also ordered a bottle of the house red for only 18 euros. For the main plates, we went with the recommendations of our server - the grilled tuna and the venison, while for the appetizer we went with the Lomo de Orza. The Tempranillo, especially bottled for the restaurant, was phenomenal - bold yet very well balanced. I have paid three times as much for bottles and wished they were the quality of this wine. The bread served to us was also firm on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. The Lomo de Orza featured very fresh cuts of ham and was paired with a smooth, balanced dollop of ice cream. This especially pairs well with a light red wine, and was a great way to start the meal. Our main dishes were also spectacular. The venison my wife got was cooked to absolute perfection and was perhaps the best cooked I had in my life - it was simple, moist and rich with flavor without being overwhelming. My grilled tuna was also very delicious, and a must order for appreciators of tuna. Paired with thin, grilled vegetables and a light sauce was relatively simple yet again extremely well prepared. Both the presentation and the taste reminded me of a high quality sushi roll - cut into bite size pieces that are extremely easy to eat and intake the flavor. My policy is that if I am enamored with the meal, I am require myself to try their desserts. Today was no exception, and we ordered both their modern take on mazapan and the chocolate dessert. Again, both were well executed and delicious, although snot the best part of the experience. I cannot iterate enough how amazing my experience here was, and I would highly recommend to both locals looking for a great, relaxed, elevated experience or visitors looking to experience local cuisine in a low-frills but well presented manner. I would be more than happy to dine here again.
a well deserved Michelin resturant, with a beautiful atmosphere and presentation! we were luckily able to come without a reservation. we ordered the tuna tartar, (which had asian influences with wasabi and seaweed salad) and lubina (grilled fish and squid ink rice, as well as a sangria. both dishes were culinary delights, well made, with fresh ingredients and balanced with different textures and flavors, and perfectly sized. allergens are also carefully and thoughtfully labeled. prices are on the high end side, but considering the high quality nature, well worth it! would definitely recommend coming for a special night out since the ambience is truly great!
A gastronomic meal. A true delight of a meal. From beginning to end there is one surprise after another and each bite is better than the last. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere quaint and charming and the owner Lionel was extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. Can not say enough great things about this well deserved Michelin restaurant. You are loosing out on a great dining experience if you do not come here. The wine list also was excellent and well priced. Thank you to the staff, chefs and all for a meal we will not forget.
Good overall experience for us, but we felt the main guy on the door on our day was a little snobby. We saw them turn away a diner requesting a table for 1 presumably because they wanted to max fill the terrace seats outside which are in high demand for lunch. If you do make it through, the waiters are attentive and eager to please. The quality of food and wine is excellent, with a limited vegetarian offer.
While walking the streets of Toledo we found this place, the outside tables and buzz looked so cozy so we decided to have our lunch there. Service exeptional, very polite, friendly, helpful and informative. Food, high quality with interesting tastes dishes. Very beautiful presented with very good taste. Prices not too high for restaurant with mitchelin star. We got a shot of liquor at the end of dinner, as a compliment from restaurant. I recommend it if you like fine dinning and don't need traditional spanish dishes in your life.
The food here really surprised me! Having spent a fair bit of time in toledo earlier in the day, I fully expected everything in this historic place to be fairly old fashioned and classic. The food here is actually quite the opposite, with really creative combinations and extremely well balanced flavours. Everything we ordered here was refreshingly different yet robust enough to feel comforting. Service was super friendly and fast. As far as I know this so the place you want to be in toledo for lunch, best to make a booking beforehand to avoid disappointment!
Fantastic restaurant , very interesting and tasty menu, I recommended it to all my friends. It was a final accord of our trip to Toledo!

Great service and very good food at La Orza. price was reasonable. Our favorites were the Venison ravioli, oxtail, and marzipan cake.
Gorgeous presentation! We were really excited to come here. The staff was ok, not very friendly. The food was simple in flavor - clean, basic ingredients. The eggplant appetizer was a crowd favorite. I ordered the Hake and thought it was good. The star for me was the desert. I had the strawberry cream and it was AMAZING.😍😍😍 I also really appreciated the menu easily identified all the allergens.
