What a hidden gem! Im not a coffee drinker so I look for the other options. Whats great here are.. 1. Iced Oolong Ceylon tea 2. Spiced Chai 3. Mango peach passion really Gonna go back to try other things! The staff is very nice. Support this business!
Great matcha and cold brew coffee. Their sweet bread is also amazing! Come give it a try you wont regret it!
Tried their passion fruit citrus tea today, it’s so refreshing and tasty! Though they only have crystal boba, you can add it to your tea. The staff is kind and attentive, the atmosphere of the place makes me wanna do my homework in there, perfectly cozy and sweet-nutty scented. Besides their menu, they also sell a 12oz bags of coffee beans imported from different locations throughout the world, I can’t wait to try them!
My friend and I meet up here almost every month because it's a perfect middle spot to where we both live. It's always cozy, the drinks are great, and the staff is so kind. I got their avocado toast and brown sugar latte, and both were so tasty! The toast especially has all the works - generous avocado, sprouts, tomatoes, chili flakes... 😚👌🏻 Note - there is limited seating (a few barstools by the window and a bench inside and outside) but generally there's somewhere to sit!
Love this small local coffee shop. The menu is simple and short, but everything we've tried has been very well done. There are a few pastries in a glass case in case you're in the mood for a snack. Little touches like some fun nerdy coffee posters give you something to learn while you're waiting for your order. I particularly like their sea salt cold brew - it's got just the right touch of sweetness without being syrupy, and the coffee is perfectly balanced and smooth. My husband enjoyed a strawberry Molly today - it's a bit like a milkshake/smoothie and made with half and half, ice, and strawberry syrup. There are monthly drink specials on a board - February's features are a rose vanilla latte and a honey lavender matcha.
A coworker told me about Newberry Coffee and Tea Company, so I absolutely needed to check it out! Newberry coffee and tea company is a small little coffee shop in a pretty large shopping center in Torrance. They offer a variety of drinks, coffee, and teas, which is something that I am very into right now. I decided to go with the usual Thai iced tea with Boba. Since their shop is small, there’s not much seating available. But it wasn’t busy at the time, so I was able to sit and wait. The gentleman that was there was friendly and was quick, and efficient. Once my drink was ready, I shook it all up, mixing everything together and punched my straw in, and immediately took a gulp. It was so tasty! There was something different about the Thai iced tea, for it had an unusual taste. This is usually my go-to drink, so I’ve had Thai tea numerous times at other places, so their version tasted very unique. It tasted like it possibly had cinnamon. Nonetheless, it was terrific and different. I appreciate them making a twist to it. I will definitely be coming back because I want to try their coffees and some of their other drinks. I look forward to trying other things from here. Thank you to my coworker who recommended me.
I came to this location twice. The first time, we got there right as they were closing and they still were very pleasant and invited us in, they didn't make us feel like we were a burden or anything so I liked that. I got an iced coffee and it tasted good. Then the second time I brought my dad and he liked the latte they made. It was during fall and the coffee was fragrant and tasted like holiday. I need to make it back to try their teas.

New local cafe Newberry Coffee & Tea is it! They roast their beans weekly, have super friendly owners, and are involved in their community. The (coffee and tea) lattes are on point! They start serving boba drinks after 11am (good to know). Super cute shop, but space mostly for to go orders. Support your local businesses and enjoy!
Service was great. Avocado toast was delicious. Not much space to stay and enjoy. An outside small table would be great.
Strong coffee, the service is excellent! I had a regular latte and it was strong, but delicious. I also ordered a caprese avocado toast that went great with my latte ☕️ It’s not a place to hang out and drink coffee, great to order to go.
Newberry Coffee is a delightful addition to the neighborhood. With their friendly staff and amazing coffee, it's hard not to fall in love with this cozy spot. The baristas' expertise shines through in each cup, delivering rich, satisfying flavors. The warm atmosphere and sustainable practices add to the appeal. The best roaster in the South Bay. Great beans and at a really good price too. Love chatting it up with the owner and fam too. Everyone is super knowledgeable, warm, and friendly.

I love this little coffee shop and I come here whenever I'm in the neighborhood. They're always super quick and always nice. I appreciate that the iced drinks have boba lids instead of regular lids - you can shake your iced latte to mix it up really well before you stick the straw through. I wish all coffee shops had that.
Yum! Caramel macchiato was perfectly sweet, not overly sweet like most places make them. The service was friendly and the customers were diverse. I can’t wait to return!
Ran out of beans and decided to try a new spot — ended up at Newberry early in the morning. The shop already had a steady flow of customers, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Warm, upbeat atmosphere, though not really the type of place you'd settle into for long — more of a grab-and-go or short-stay coffee stop. I picked up a bag of their Guatemalan beans, and they ground them fresh for me right away. Took them home, brewed a cup, and it was solid — smooth and enjoyable. Good coffee, just not something that stands out drastically from other specialty shops in the area. Haven’t tried the pastries or food yet, but they had a nice selection in the case. Coffee: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food: N/A (yet) Overall, a reliable and friendly coffee spot, worth stopping by for fresh beans or a quick pick-me-up. I’d come back to try more.
This is my go to spot for coffee in the morning on my way to work. The staff is always friendly and although their selection is small the coffee is big in taste. A little more pricey than other coffee places I've had but worth it.

Small coffee and tea joint in a strip mall. Little to no seating - just a high top along the front window. Espresso very sour and not enough nuttiness for my taste. Shakerato was fun with a nice hint of cinnamon. Overall OK but won’t be heading back.
This place is located in a strip mall, so you gotta read all the store signs to not miss it, There is only one long table top to sit at, so its not a cafe where you can sit and do work on your laptop. The coffee was ok, it wasnt horrible and it wasnt great. i got the vanilla latte and It was kinda too sweet and too milky, not enough coffee taste. its a 6/10 for me.
Needed a quick pick me up as I was traveling for work in the South Bay. I decided to stop at this place as it had good reviews. I went in and the baristas were not the friendliest. Usually these small coffee shops have really cool people serving. Unfortunately that was not the case for this location. I ordered an iced mocha which was decent. Seemed as if they used cold brew instead of espresso and milk. I do not think I would be back again even if I am in the area. Props on the cool logo!

Friendly service. The place is small, with just a few stools for seating, so not somewhere you can work or spend time in. I was disappointed in my cappuccino especially with the price being similar to places that actually know how to make one. My gf ordered a sweet drink, which was much better. I suggest this place for sweet drinks on the go, not for traditional espresso drinks or to spend some time.

Pretty decent drinks in store. Pretty awful experience buying whole bean. Staff was friendly but didn't seem that knowledgeable. Feel free to stop here if you're not a huge coffee nerd(or you can't continue if you appreciate delusional rants). Chapter 1: I came in for whole bean coffee. I usually enjoy lighter roasts, but they only had "medium-dark" to "medium" listed on the bags. And I know that what different people think of as being light, dark, etc is largely subjective. I though that maybe they were trying to avoid using the more extreme descriptors so people(especially those newer to coffee) might focus on the tasting notes rather than on the roast level. I asked for some insight from the two people working there. One was happy to help, but didn't seem all too knowledgeable. Relatively unperturbed at this point I decided to buy an origin that is typically lighter, and had tasting notes that seemed to signal that as well. Chapter 2: Upon settling on that things only went down hill. The price was higher than it was listed as on the shelf(this is untrue see edit*). And the roast was very dark. An Ethiopian Yirgacheffe literally glistening with oil due to its roast level. Some additional smaller gripes that were just the cherry on top: no roast date on the bag, and the pull tab to open the bag was dysfunctional. I don't blame the staff that was working there when I came in. Would have been nice if they knew bit more about the product(or were more forthcoming should they have known), but I don't see that as the main problem. And the coffee drinks you get in shop are still solid. Edit: You should absolutely be embarrassed if this is how you take customer feedback. Calling my review "fake" as if I'm out to get you. I had a bad experience, who are you to police my experience? Maybe next time have a little class. I'll upload photos when I'm free to. *I went back to double check the price. I made and honest mistake on that. There was one Ethiopian washed medium coffee in store, and only one on their website, each at a different price. To my surprise these were not the same coffee. Regarding the rest of the review I stand by my comments. Oil on the surface is from the coffee oxidizing, while this can happen due to age, the primary reason is roast level. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. This coffee was purchased 7 days ago. Also, I think the owner's response warrants going down from two stars to one. Maybe I'm just petty though.
