Amazing service!!! Lindsey was super helpful and amazing! Made us feel welcome. Definitely coming back! Give her a raise !!!!
Lindsey our server was the absolute best! She’s was very patient, friendly, and helpful, definitely made our experience amazing. Would recommend coming again and having her as our server!
Great seafood. The team really has the process down and even amongst all the commotion I felt like we had our needs met. Server filled us in on the pricing of different foods which we appreciated very much. Would go back and highly recommend. Make sure you join the wait-list ahead of getting there so you don't have to wait too long. We looked ahead and joined the wait-list about an hour before and got there, waited 10 minutes for our table after that. Spent about $100 bucks between my wife and I for a couple beers, lbs of shrimp, lb of crab, and fried. Everything was delicious!
Every time we go it’s always the same your food is hot and they have a very good team they all work together I love it
This is our third time dining at this Boiling Crab location and somehow it just keeps getting better. The food is always fire — fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly — but what really stood out tonight was the incredible staff. From the moment we walked in, every single team member went above and beyond. The host, the manager, our server, the cleaning crew — literally everyone was attentive and working hard. We were asked at least 10 times if we needed refills or anything else, and not in an annoying way — they were just genuinely on it. We were seated near the back, close to where the crew preps the food before it’s brought out, and let me tell you… not a single person was slacking. Everyone was moving fast, focused, and handling business. My husband and I couldn’t stop watching — we were both genuinely SO impressed by the hustle and teamwork. If I had to pick a favorite part of the experience, of course the food is amazing — but the staff somehow outshined it. Huge shoutout to the team working on July 18th around 6:00pm — THANK YOU! You made our night. We’ll absolutely be back again (and again). 👏🦐🔥
The boiling crab is a popular restaurant with a very long wait list. We waited over an hour. The food was good and seafood seemed fresh. The service was good, and we regularly had a young person stop by to check on our dinner. So i gave this review 5 stars to reflect the food and service. To me, the atmosphere is a personal preference and not as important. That said, the atmosphere was not for me. They provided bibs and gloves upon request because you need it. The food was served in a plastic bag that could fall over and leak. I ordered a side of corn, and it came in a bag filled with a cup of butter juice. You should just be prepared for a messy, smelly, loud, and chaotic eating experience requiring a lot of napkin wipes. My kids loved it.
Delicious seafood Cajun/Louisiana boil style. Reasonable prices and fun vibe! Service is quick and efficient. You're also provided with plastic gloves and bibs. To go water cups are given upon request too.
I love this location! The atmosphere is nice and everyone is so friendly!! Shoutout to Kim for being the best server, she helped us with everything we needed and checked on us multiple times. If you go request her!
The boiling crab is a hit no matter where it's located, so expect long wait times -- those who complain should know better! After an hour wait, we were finally seated, and it as well worth it. The waiter G and rest of the staff were very attentive and on point throughout our dinner ensuring everything ran smoothly. Food came out fairly quick and was absolutely great!
The food was good and our server Lindsey was the best!! She was very attentive and made us feel well taken care of. Her energy was the best which made our experience 10x better! 10/10
Came to Boiling Crab right at 5 PM and there was no wait, which was such a nice surprise. The staff was friendly, the vibe was fun, and the food came out fast. The seafood was fresh, the seasoning was perfect, and the whole experience was super satisfying. Great spot for a casual, delicious seafood feast — will definitely be back!
I decided to treat myself and ordered the king crab legs, shrimp, corn, rice, and a couple margaritas. Spent about $200, and the food was definitely on point when it came to flavor. The crab legs were meaty, and the spice level was just right—nice and bold the way I like it. The shrimp, though, wasn’t really for me. I had one shrimp, but I can’t do shrimp that isn’t cleaned properly. Ended up taking it home, deshelling, and cleaning it myself and making another dish Next time, I’ll probably try something else off the menu instead. The margaritas? You can skip those. Way too weak for the price. Next round I might just bring my own “fast-pour” shot on the low and fix that problem myself (don’t tell nobody). Overall, pricey but solid seafood if you’re craving a good crab fix.
This was my first visit to The Boiling Crab, and I’m so glad I went! I arrived around 5pm on a Tuesday and was seated right away. My server, Justin, was fantastic! Justin was friendly, patient, and super helpful in explaining the menu and answering all my questions. I ordered a seafood bag for two and went all in: Dungeness crab, lobster, shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes with the Medium spice 'Extra Juicy' Shabang sauce (incredible!). I also added Cajun onion rings and a Michelada, which had the perfect spicy kick. The food came out even faster than the 10–15 minute estimate. This place isn’t just about the delicious food, it’s an experience. The table is lined with butcher paper, everyone gets a bib and hand wipes, and you eat with your hands (no cutlery, just seafood tools). Once the bag hit the table, we dumped it out and dove in, etiquette aside! We were stuffed before we could even finish. Highly recommend for seafood lovers looking for flavor, fun, and great service.
This place gets packed especially Friday through Sunday. The sea food boils are good and well seasoned . The service is excellent. Be mindful of how much you're ordering because we over ordered and had a ton of food . I suggest start small and just order more if you're still hungry after your first order. As you'll see on the pic it was just two of us and you see what's on the table. Of course a doggy bag was needed afterwards.
Excellent experience at The Boiling Crab. The food is delicious, especially the seafood, which are fresh and well seasoned. The atmosphere is pleasant and fun, perfect to enjoy with friends or family. The service was fast and friendly. Definitely a place worth visiting if you like seafood!
Deliciousness in all your senses! Spicy, tangy, crunchy, buttery all over hand and face good!! Definitely recommend the She Bang spice as it was Bangin...Casual fun service delivered promptly. The music in background was R&B and hit smooth and with presence to match the vibe and food! Prepare to wait a bit as there are no reservations, but worth your wait!
This is my go-to spot for seafood boil because the shrimp were perfectly succulent and bouncy, the king crab had a lot of meat, and the fries are cooked to perfection! Our server Natalie was very kind and helped us with getting our order right because we may have bounced around some different things 😅 The seafood come in separate bags (like shrimp in ome bag, crab in the other), and it's up to you to add toppings like corncob, which I highly recommend because it's so sweet. Also, dont sleep on those crabber fries! Original was perfectly crunchy and the toppings they added were so good.
The best Louisiana seafood boil in town! Get your hands dirty with the delicious seafood and slurp the gravy out of every finger! The only downside is they don't take reservations which cause the super long queue and waiting time. If there is a good reservation system, customers may not need to wait 2 hours for a table.
Food was good an hour wait at 5pm on a Saturday which was expected. Recommend the mix of sauces with mild sauce. I got no spice, but I regret not getting mild cause the sauce just tasted sweet
First time eating at Torrance boiling crab today loved it! It was me and my parents who enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the boiling crab thanks to Anthony for the great service! He attended us really great 👍🏽 I ordered 1 pound of shrimp mild with 3 corns didn’t finish it there’s a reason why, I didn’t finish my order my dad ordered 12 oysters 🦪, 1 pound of 🦐 shrimp and a lobster 🦞. My mom ordered same as me 1 pound of shrimp 🦐 mild with 2 corn. Yummy 😋

Went to boiling crab with my girlfriend and we had an amazing time. Our server Lindsey was absolutely fantastic! She completely made our experience with her fantastic service! She helped us crack our crab and was very patient. 10/10 we will definitely be coming back and hope to see Lindsey very soon!
Came here on a SUPER busy Sunday evening had to wait about an 1.5 hours for food but this place is absolutely worth the wait! Once we got our table the staff was super friendly and shout out to our waitress Lindsey! She was phenomenal being our waitress (party of 6). Will definitely come back to this location again! Hopefully we can get Lindsey has a waitress again!
Lindsey made my friends’ and my dining experience a 10/10. She was attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. It was pretty busy, but she was super helpful and patient with us. Shoutout to you, girl! That’s what I call a 5-star customer service experience.
OK, this location really stepped their game up because at first honey this was not it. I’m sorry I’m just being honest. I used to always frequent the boiling crab in Garden Grove. So when I found out they were opening Torrance I was so excited the first time we went we didn’t have a good experience and it was not given Garden Grove but recently we went over the weekend and maybe they have stepped their game up. It was on point. They do have a waitlist that’s usually open so before you head over if you stay fairly close, I would definitely recommend getting on that waitlist.
The food was good and our server Lindsey was the best!! She was very attentive and made us feel well taken care of. Her energy was the best which made our experience 10x better! 10/10

Delivery and the first time I ever had food from the Boiling Crab. Crayfish and Crabby fries, Mussels and onion rings. The crabby fries are an absolute killer, I don't think I have ever had better fries. The mussels were excellent, the onion rings better than anywhere else. Why did I take a star off? The crayfish had a great taste, I ordered it with garlic butter which was superb but- either they were overcooked, or they were dead before they were cooked, the meat was somewhat mushy, had lost some of it's flavor and was stuck to the shell. This would have been a absolutely perfect meal if that hadn't happened. That said, this is still one of the best meals I have had lately and I would absolutely eat this again. And again.
Great Food. Wait time is something that can bring down the Customer view and experience. Was told one thing and ended up being 2.5 hours instead of the 45mins. Maybe making those that are hold up tables uncomfortable so they finish or setting timers on each table to the max time of 1.5 hour.
Went to celebrate our Bdays... definitely will say the mild is more like medium heat so if you have kids don't get its very spicy for them... it was 8/10 for taste quality! The service started 10/10 but then after getting the food went down to 6/10 we had ask for refill twice and 3 time for crab openers(sea food tools). They got overwhelmed I guess and forgot.. meanwhile we wait for them.. I hate flagging them down with our hands because I feel it's rude but we had to re-ask for the drinks n tools( feel bad because they mad faces of getting upset) but king crab legs are painful to open with hands alone I tried n now I have a puncture on my thumb 😆 . I add our recipes covering our server info I don't want get him in trouble because it wasn't only him attending our table..it was a team. Ps. Also ask for the tools when putting your order and gloves before the food gets there.. I would think it's common sense to give if the table orders 🦀 but iv learn common sense isn't as common now in days plus when under pressure ppl forget things. We order the fried catfish basket, chicken tender basket and a kids tender basket in addition...
First time at the Torrance Boiling Crab. We usually hit up the Euclid location but we were in Pedro and Shrimp came to mind. Overall it's good. I'll still go back our spot. The service was not the same. It was busy. But it's always busy at the Boiling Crab . We were done with our food by the time they checked on us for refills. We always get the triple xxx on an order and people share. But I think we go because of the burn. So not all bad. I forgot the Niners were playing, huge tvs to watch the game.
Boiling Crab greeted us with zero wait and plenty of energy the moment we stepped in. The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was lively and fun, and our food arrived quickly. The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely satisfying. The table is lined with butcher paper, everyone gets a bib and hand wipes, and you dig in with your hands—no cutlery needed, just the provided seafood tools. Once the seafood bag hits the table, the crab legs are a must-try—they’re perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. This is a fantastic spot for a casual, hands-on seafood feast with friends or family. Everything from the friendly service to the fun dining experience makes it a place I’ll definitely return to.

Our family came here to celebrate a birthday. The place was packed, but an hour wait wasn’t too bad. There was a bit of delay at first due to some confusion about how many were in our party, but that was okay. What really made our experience great was our server. Shout out to Lindsey! Despite it being a very busy season, she greeted us with a genuine smile and did an amazing job managing all of our orders. To servers like Lindsey—thank you. We know guests get tired, and servers do too, but your positive attitude truly makes a difference. Kudos to you for turning our experience into a great one!

I’ve been to this restaurant 10 times and enjoy the food, but the staff — waiters, hostess, and management — does not include any Black employees, which stood out to my boyfriend and I, because we are Black. Also, during my visit, the bathroom and hand-washing area didn’t get attention during my hour-and-a-half wait and hour of dining.
A friend and I decided to try this place out. It opened 3 weeks ago in our neighborhood and every time I drive past I see crowds gathered outside especially at dinner. They just recently added takeout but they don't do takeout phone orders you have to walk in to order. It's a unique place. Very large and loud inside. Wish they had an outside eating area but they don't. Prices are on the high side unless you choose one of the fried basket options which are reasonably priced. Most of the sea food items are priced per pound with a minimum of a 1 lb order except for shrimp which can be ordered as a half pound. Prices per pound for most Seafood items what they call the market price starts at $30 and above. I ordered the calamari basket and was pleasantly surprised they were very large rings and it was very shareable. My friend had the Shrimp Basket which came with fries. We didn't care for the fries as they are the type that are almost battered and super crunchy. They also had sweet potato fries but don't allow substitution even with an upcharge. I wish they had bread to dip in the butter sauces apparently people bring their own to the restaurant. Tables are covered with a waterproof paper for each new guest and food is brought in the individual bags to the table there are no utensils other than Seafood crackers for the shells but bibs are provided. We had to ask several times for certain things and it was disappointing that along with the basket we ordered corn and garlic butter and the corn and garlic butter came about 10 minutes after our baskets everything should have been delivered at the same time. Something fun though all of the wood columns and wood trim they will hand you a Sharpie and allow you to draw something. They're going to run out of space soon but it was a lot of fun for my friend who's an artist photo attached of what she drew. It's super loud inside so if you'd like to be able to have a conversation request one of the booths. They don't take reservations you have to get on a wait list when you get there. They quoted us about a 30-minute wait it was closer to an hour on a Tuesday night and we were there by 5:40. Not sure if the butter sauce is real butter or if it's margarine. The sodas/ ice tea are refillable which is nice. If you're planning on getting the seafood boiled in a bag, other than shrimp, expect to spend a minimum of $65 to $70 for two people not including beverages. It was an experience but due to the cost and long wait doubt I'll return. It's been over a week the ownership responded to my review. Wanted to add that I emailed the company to ask if they used real butter or margarine and a week later there has been no response nor did whoever responded to my review address that question.
This is my first time coming to a boiling crab and I’ve heard so much about it, so I was excited to try it. The wait wasn’t bad on a Friday evening around 5 o’clock. We got our drinks immediately and ordered the Cajun fries which were really good. My family and I ordered 2 of the 1 pound shrimp with potatoes, fried catfish, pound of snow crab, and scallops. Everything was good and food came out pretty quickly. Service on the other hand did not really reach my expectations, I understand that they were busy helping other tables but me and my family have been waiting for limes, salt and pepper for a while. Also a couple of other things as well such as bibs, utensils, and refills on drinks which were also taking a while too, to the point where we had to ask another server for our needs. We also weren’t check on. The servers are nice and kind it was just the lack of providing items to customers.
Boiling Crab has fallen from grace since they first introduced cajun seafood boil to SoCal. It is not only worse than what it once was, but it is far inferior than other South Bay options (such as CS in Gardena). Since their nearest location is in OC, I was excited for them to open in Torrance, but it just doesn't hit the same. The flavoring (whole shabang) feels off. It lacked that notorious punch that it used to pack. Their spiciness level is only offered in 4 tiers: none, mild, medium, and XXX. I opted for medium, but it might as well be none. The shrimps didn't taste fresh and in fact, somewhat rubbery. I even came during a peak lunch time on Saturday. For a new opening location at the busiest time, they should have the freshest selection. They were also out of an array of popular options such as crawfish, Dungeness crab, lobster, and blue crab; terrible inventory management. The wait was long and the expected time might as well be a random number. We were told 20 minutes, but it took 45 mins. Only positives are the friendly service and large parking lot (it is Torrance though). Costs about $60 per person. Unless they seriously get their act together, this is all around not worth it.
You'd think they just opened the spot yesterday the way it's run. Took about an hour to be seated (party of 7) and then the food was all brought out at different times, we had to ask multiple servers to check on items we were still missing. They tried their best but the service was really backed up and messy. Made me so annoyed
I went to order take out because the wait time was around 1 1/2-2 hours and they specifically asked for my phone so they can notify me when my food was ready so i went back to my car almost an hour later i go back inside hopefully knowing my food was ready and it was just sitting on a counter, when i grabbed it, it was cold and i asked aren’t you guys supposed to notify me since you grabbed my number and she looked confused and said oh yeah. I had to microwave it at home because it was cold by the time i got it. good seafood by that experience was awful. should’ve gotten a refund.

The audacity of employee #9227. I order shrimp with sausage and one piece of corn she messed up. Our order did not give us sausage but gave us potatoes. Then when we asked for the sausage, she had us dig all the potatoes out our shrimp so she could take them back into the kitchen, which that’s cross contamination that’s disgusting. When I told her I felt disrespected having to dig through my food to take the potatoes out she stated that that’s their policy and her manager would have her do that anyways. Unbelievable she could have just charged me but no she wanted the potatoes back. Last time I ever go to this location and I will spread the work, and for the record we still left a cash tip and we didn’t even get an apology . Horrible customer service.
If was able to give zero stars I would. The customer service here was horrible. I will make sure I make the drive to the Costa Mesa location instead. The lady that had our table was rude made the whole table uncomfortable not welcoming at all. This location needs to do better with their customer service.
I’ve always been a big fan of Boiling Crab and have visited multiple locations countless times, but this experience was the most disappointing by far. We waited 75 minutes on the waiting list. After finally getting the notification that our table was ready, one of my friends checked with the host, only to be told that it wasn’t ready and there were still 10 parties ahead. Just 7 minutes later, I received another message saying my name was taken off the list. When I went to ask why, the staff claimed we were 30 minutes late, which was completely false. I even showed them the message with the exact time, proving we were only 7 minutes late. However, instead of resolving the issue, one of the Asian female staff members and a guy named Matthew were incredibly rude, dismissive, and treated us like we were lying. No effort was made to explain or speak to us with basic respect. I honestly can’t believe Boiling Crab hires staff who behave like this. It’s disheartening to be treated this way by a place I used to love. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service at any of their other locations. This visit completely ruined the brand for me. No explanation, no accountability, just attitude and disrespect. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.
Ordered my food at 5:15 (that’s when it shows the call was made) and I got my food at 6:00 all because they NEVER texted me that my food was ready like they said they would I only got it because I went up to ask (I didn’t want to at first because when I first got there I asked if it was ready and it wasn’t but they said I’d get a text message when it was) Many staff/servers passed us multiple times and none of them thought to check on our order after seeing us sitting there for over 30 minutes
This is my second time coming to this location and both times services has been horrible. Our server mixed up our food and gave it to a table who arrived just 5 before, we waited 40 minutes to get any food because she never realized this. At this point guest who has arrived 20 minutes after us had received their food and we were still waiting. After an hour wait and finally receiving our food the server never checked in with us, we had to Flag her down for refills my husband had to go to the counter to ask for things. We asked multiple people for things and no one was able to help in no way and seemed to ignore us. We are truly disappointed. The one in garden grove is definitely better
This place is a waste of time. Good always brought cold excessive waits everytime I try to give them a chance I don’t even get a chance to eat. Wait 1:30 mins food bring to u 🥶 cold …so irritated
Honestly horrible service, whole party received food while I was waiting on my own bag. Had to tell three different servers to finally to get my food out and they still came out twice to argue that there wasn’t a total of six pounds out in but they forgot to put it. I wouldn’t have had an issue if they forgot then just brought it out but to argue that it wasn’t put in by THEM, and it’s our fault? Nope. Bad service.
First Time and Last time I will come to this place ,you have to ask for napkins , bibs , salt pepper lemons etc if not they will not hand you any , while waiting I got a text stating my to go order was ready to my surprise kitchen messed up my order and had to wait longer , cashier woman with Red shirt at the to go and place order area has a bad attitude . Laughed at my face when I was concerned and ask why they blamed kitchen .
I don’t know where to start. The server took our drink orders then disappear for an hour without any explanation. when our food finally arrived after, i begged another server to help me she returned to our party of six and stated that i was impatient. she argued that she was on the other side of the establishment helping another party. I don’t know how that helped me or make made the poor service justifiable. This restaurant seems to be run by teenagers. Save your time and money and go someplace else
