I really enjoyed eating here. The staff was super friendly and understanding. It was my first time eating here so I didn't quite understand the ordering process. The good was excellent. I believe The Habit Burger taste better than In and Out. My son who is really picky even found something on the menu that he would eat. The restaurant was very clean which is always a plus. This is now my favorite burger place in the south bay area.

We went to this place while I was pregnant so my review maybe little biased but my son loves the grilled cheese sandwich there. I love the veggie burger and liked the grilled chicken sandwich. They customized both of them for me. I like the kids meal combo which comes with Apple sauce and juice. Service is great too.

I'm bumping it up one more star because their Santa Barbara char is delicious! They also have garlic fries that I believe may be a seasonal item and wow were they garlicky. Next time I'll get them after work! Their jalapeno burger, while it wasnt the best I ever had, it was a solid 9/10, fries are good, and service was fast even though it was the lunch rush.

I love the food, the staff and their app. The food is prepared when I complete my order on the app. I could choose curbside delivery but I like going inside and seeing the friendly faces. This is one of the few takeout places where I can get a hamburger with a salad. I substitute the whole wheat bun on the burger. The salad is good with vegetables that I like.

We went to this HG for the very first time last week for a take out order and it was great. We ordered 2 classic burger meals with an extra of onion rings. Everything was yummy and we actually enjoyed all of it. Happy to have found a decent burger spot that's affordable.

Of the chain hamburger restaurants, I rate The Habit as the best in it's price range. The taste of the Patty, the taste and quality of the bun is excellent. Their build quality is as good if not Superior. Their other sandwiches are excellent as well. Try the tuna steak sandwich. The restaurant can be crowded during peak hours, but it's a sign of their popularity. Love their non carbonated fruit drinks. Other burger places should use The Habit as the reference.

We were on our way to an event at the cultural centre, and wanted to grab a quick bite. I looked for burgers on the internet and came up with Habit. Much better than expected. It was full, but they top your burger to order, and it tasted good. Our friend ordered deep fried green beans, also tasty. What do you know, I’d go back if there was a Habit Burger close by.

Wait can be up to 25-30 mins waiting for your order during dinner rush. I would recommend ordering ahead and waiting for confirmation. There were some people that ordered online and still had to wait 15 more wins when they arrived.

First time having The Habit, I got the golden fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked perfectly very tender and juicy, the spiced red pepper sauce gave it that little kick that makes this burger standout. Fell in love from the first bite to the last. You guys just gained a new customer.

Really good veggie burger and fries! I usually put a ciabatta bun instead of the normal bun. I also like to ask for ranch on the side of my fries. And I love the green pea fries! Totally recommend! The strawberry limeade is great too! The only thing is that it gets real busy. The seating area isn’t too big, but overall, it’s great!

Absolutely my favorite place to eat a burger. This location especially. Every time I’m in the area I always stop at this Torrance location. Everyone always treat you nice. I love being greeted and welcomed in a place of business. My favorite thing to order is the Teriyaki Burger. The Habit Burger Grill serves delicious burgers! I don't know what makes them so good, but it would most definitely be my first choice for a burger. When hubby and I arrived, we went right up to the counter and ordered our food. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating so we decided to eat it inside. We didn't wait long for our food and our pager buzzed within 6mins from when we ordered. I went right for it and like always, amazing! I always just get the regular burger and fries. The ambiance is your regular fast food vibe, nothing fancy. There is plenty of parking close by. The service wasn't bad and the restaurant was pretty tidy. I'll be back for sure!

It's easy and free to park if you drive. But the lunchtime is crowded, so don't bother to try to park "close" . Park by Smart and Final. The service and prompt and we'll organized, but if you get there late during lunch you'll have a hard time finding a table. Yeah, it was good, but definitely NOT on the same level of quality and affordability that it once was. This was partially evidenced by the complete lack of crowds that used to be almost continuous, followed by counter staff that were indifferent and matter of fact without any sort of enthusiasm or outward friendliness, with condiments not sufficiently maintained. The double cheeseburger itself... Meh. But they used to be awesome. The French fries 🍟 were still good and sadly, the high point of my meal. When you operate an exclusive "craft" burger 🍔 establishment, you owe it to yourself and your clientele to be a few cuts above the typical discount burger houses that abound in the neighborhood. I had a Burger which was really delicious! Super juicy and perfectly grilled patty with fresh ingredients. Also i like that they provide Jalapenos ,you can pick by yourself. Very nice but their burger mushrooms I felt it so filling it was surely not an easy sandwich, delicious but heavy. Was it worth it? Yup. Will I do it again? You bet I will. Their drinks is out of this world always refreshing and inviting :-)

Second time coming here and the burgers are really good. Order from a kiosk is the norm but if you are unsure you can place an order with someone at the front counter. Place is clean and it's usually busy. Would recommend if you've never tried Habit.

5-3-2024 Picked up a deal on a chicken club burger and I have to say; it was pretty good. The flavors meshed well with the avocado and bacon; although the chicken was a little lackluster. The staff was super busy the whole time with the constant inflow of orders and prep work. There's a self order kiosk at the door if your into working for free. The drink choices are better than most fast casual spots with different teas and non-soda options. Appreciate the restaurants allowing order online and schedule for pickup; works great for me and the food was ready as agreed upon. 2022 Pretty decent Burgers nice employees all seemed pretty busy and effective at their jobs. Price was about 20 something dollars for two burgers and fries

(6/10) I got a Teriyaki Charburger and it was OK. The buns were toasted and cheese was melted, pineapple and teriyaki added some sweet flavors but were barely noticeable. Fries weren't that good but we're also not bad. Service was average for a fast food chain and the place is alright. I would eat here again someday, if I get the chance.

I really used to like the habit, but the past two times I have eaten here, I have stomach problems shortly after I leave. My burger was good, the new garlic Parmigiano fries were delicious, but ill definitely reconsider coming here if it upsets my stomach again. But I wasn't happy with my drink selection after having the burger. I read you can rate your experience online and win free burgers but I think I'm done after this visit. The burger wasn't great with the drink selection of my choice which was the passion fruit with tangerine juice. It didn't go down well so I didn't finish. Not the experience that I wanted.

I love their burgers! They are always fresh. However, the last time I went the burgers were cold and the fries were soggy...I think they were waiting for my salad to be ready. They should have done that first. UPDATE: After seeing this review, a manager contacted me to send me a gift certificate to make up for the above. I never received it. Which made the experience even worse. Shame. 😒

Sides are a bit small for the price which is a down fall. Good sides like the green beans and fries just small serving. Ranch is good at the Habit as well. I enjoy the salads except for the classic small because the cheese tastes cheap - some type of white cheese.

Warning: Takeout FOOD was TERRIBLE! To be fair- Service - seems they tried their best during a busy moment but the quality here has gone down since I last picked up food a couple of years ago! Take out of 2 chicken sandwiches and 2 types of fries on a Sunday absolutely terrible and near $30. Won’t ever go back!

Prices are up at least 25% since the fast food wage increase. ALSO the burgers are way smaller and taste like they were frozen patties instead of the usual char broiled. Hate how politics and corporate America keeps raking us over the coals.

I hit this place on a Saturday night. I guess that was the wrong night to go. There was hardly anybody in there. Service was agonizingly slow. The hamburger was extremely small. I usually enjoy grabbing a bite from The Habit, but my recent visit was a letdown on multiple levels. First off, the chicken nuggets were just bad. They came out clearly overcooked—burnt on the outside and dry inside (Charizard Chicken Nuggets). It tasted like they were either thrown in straight from the freezer or left sitting out too long before being cooked. Either way, the result was unpleasant and borderline inedible. To make things worse, they’ve apparently changed their Cobb salad recipe. It’s completely different from what it used to be—not just a tweak, but a total overhaul. It barely resembles a Cobb salad now, which makes the name misleading. If you’re expecting the classic version, you’ll be disappointed. The new version just isn’t good—poor ingredients, weird mix, and overall unsatisfying. Maybe change the name of the salad to not cause confusion. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this visit was frustrating enough to speak up. I hope they revisit both the quality control in the kitchen and how they present changes on the menu.

I feel like there us a synergy between food, service, and atmosphere that is being caused by a lack of caring. Food: One of my favorite burgers in is the Santab Barbara. The sourdough was was grilled in too much fat. Imagine if you had a pan with 2 Tablespoons of oil and you put your fingers in it... that is how my fingers looked. Not just dirty but really wet. In addition, one thing the habit is really known for is timing their fries and burgers so that both are fresh... Not so this place, I observed orders where the fries were finished ~2 minutes prior to the burger than sat on top of the cabinet with no heat lamp. Service: An expected outcome of fully automated ordering machines... The employees in the restaurant have less reason to engage with and care about the customers. I did cash register work a long time ago and it was scary and high pressure. For sure a great learning experience for those who accept it. Atmosphere: As we sat and ate (between 2 and 3PM 12/8/25 for security footage) a homeless man was came inside and was allowed to walk table to table begging for food. I am someone who from time to time will offer to buy a meal for someone in need but coming into the dinning room is a big no no. I have been telling people for years and years that the best burger to be had is at "The Habit". Yesterday this was not true. Not planning to go to this restaurant again. I will try another and I hope to find a better experience.

The food quality and portion had dropped considerably over past few years which coincides with when habit was bought out. Used to be my highest rated burger joint and had the best steak sandwich, but it is a shell of its former self. The tuna sandwich is 30-40% smaller than what it used to be while the price feels higher, and the portion of sides were smaller as well. It was a premium fast food chain but that's no longer the case

I used to frequent this burger restaurant because the Habit burger is(was) my favorite burger and this store was the closest. But then since several years ago, it started to go downhill on quality and subsequently less people seem to visit here. These days, with heavy promotion every week, I decided to visit this store again. Well, to my extreme disappointment, it went further downhill. The burger was OKish normal Habit burger. But the fries were cold and soggy. I suspect they just fried some and left it in the cooling tray since not many customers visit here. On, November 11,2021 I placed an order, first of all the hamburger I ordered was not cooked all the way. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich was made wrong in every way. I ordered the Impossible burger online, with NO CHEESE and NO MAYO. They added cheese the first time and the manager's response was do you want the burger or your money back, with a very annoyed tone. If I could give them, zero, stars, I would actually I would give them negative stars for their services. Absolutely horrible when you ordered from online website. Worst experience ever do not order from the website. I did not receive my shake when ordering from online was absolutely super difficult to get a hold of somebody to “help me” with this and in the end they couldn’t even deliver it to me. I had to go pick it up paid over $40 for this order was extremely not worth it!

Follow up to review from bf (Ennio). Customer service reached out to make the issue right, so thought was awesome that they’d do that. Went in today and the experience completely contradicted what was stated in their own customer service response for addressing the issue. This lead to another unfortunate experience. Don’t think I’ll be going back. On a side note, you may need to have someone review your email templates since they contradict what the store does.

Worst experience ever!!! My partner & I went for our first time to this location and let me say we REGRET IT. Floors were very dirty with trash , tables weren’t even wiped customers had to ask for a wipe to clean it themselves !!! I must've came on an off night. I order the same sandwich and it is typically very good. A perfect sized, juicy breast of chicken, in a crisp and toasty bread and piled just right with condiments. Tonight I got served a tiny, dry tasteless, bologna thin grilled chicken patty, with a single slice of pickle that usually isn't in the club sandwich but somehow found its way to escape onto my... you guessed it, bologna sized yada yada and spread its nasty pickle juice all onto one corner of my bologna thin, dry, flavorless grilled chicken sandwich. I had to think if I asked for only a thumbnail sized amount of avocado slices, nope... but that's just what I got. I do remember asking for no mayo in my bologna thin, dry, flavorless grilled chicken but on the side. Boom... mayo on top of the sliver of a hockey puck and on the side. We all deserve a second chance, so maybe but just not with a splash of pickle bath water.

Very disappointed! Someone recommended that I try the Habit(burger, onion rings, and a cobb salad). Unfortunately in my opinion(and I'm a foodie) this meal was all bad or at best very mediocre. The onion rings were hard and over cooked, made with more breading than onions. The burger was not special or different than any typical burger. The cobb salad was made with shreaded iceberg lettuce. I cannot recommend this particular location(Torrance) of the Habit franchise.

I was appalled at the terrible customer service. The cashier was ROLLING her eyes at me repeatedly while taking my order. When i got my onion rings they were BURNED way past well done. I didnt even ask for well done onion rings! I tried calling the manager but no answer. Never again.

First off, the inside and out side was dirty. The trash in the eating area was overflowing. You can clearly see the trash can in the cooking area overflowing. Floors had not been cleaned nor the tables. Had to ask to have the table cleaned. The condiment area was empty, and we watched the work look at it and never refilled it or clean it the area. My burger was not cooked, and they used to big fresh patties, not frozen pre made. It used to be a good place to enjoy a fresh hamburger. Not anymore. Corporate greed must have cut corners on quality.

I love the Habit Grill. Usually go to the location in El Segundo which is always great. I was in Torrance and hungry so when seeing this location stopped and ordered to go. The salad was thrown in the bag upside down. It all fell out of it's container and made a mess. Scooped it up and tried my best. The 10 piece Chicken Bites were unbelievably Salty with a capital S. 4 of the ten were just tiny scraps from the fryer basket. And not the least only 1 napkin which unfortunately used to wrap the chicken so it was greasy. What a GYP. What a disappointment and all that Salt did not sit well either.

Pyriscent “Pyriscent” Music

A pipe leak in the restroom here means the entire restaurant smells like raw sewage. This is a massive health violation and is putting all of the employees health at risk. I literally couldn't even finish placing my order before I started developing a headache from the sewage fumes. I worked in a factory when a sewage line broke and that smell of a leaking sewage pipe will never leave me. I'd like to say I will alter my review if they fix this but that wouldn't be fair, there was a moment in time where they allowed this to happen. Shame on management..

Never had more burnt burger in my life. It was very dry and so burnt it tasted bitter. Half of fries were also burnt. To add to all that we waited 25 min for our food and it came out cold. Will never go to this location again.

I had ate at the Torrance (Near hospital) location and it was gross. The burgers were slopped with mayonnaise and mustard and the food was either undercooked or very over cooked. It took me a week to finally be able to reach out to the manager and she was short and rude on email and only offed 1/2 of my bill back. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT...

Sunday September 14, 8:50pm the worst hamburger I have ever had in any Habit and much worse than in other fastfoods. It looks like the evening shift doesn't care. Also, the temperature inside was like in Siberia. This is not the first time when the food here isn't good. In comparison, the location in Hermosa Beach is consistent with a taste of food, also the temperature there is "normal".

I've been a weekly customer here for 3+ years, and usually it's great. Today was different. I ordered online, and my sandwich came with a tiny square top bun that left half the fillings exposed. When I pointed it out, Nate (blue polo Shirt, large circle earring, hat, long hair in a pony tail) admitted he saw the problem, but instead of remaking it, he argued with me, trying to prove the bread was "technically the same." I wasn't asking for a debate; I just didn't want to hold a messy sandwich with barbecue sauce and lettuce spilling out. He offered to remake it after continuing to explain that the bread was identical, I felt like he was trying to make me look like I was dumb, like I was wrong and he was right. It was very small, petty, unprofessional and immature. When at the end of the day; that isn't the point. The point is, no one wants to or should have to hold a have exposed sandwich with bbq sauce etc all over it. He made me feel really uncomfortable and weird and I decided I didn't want the food at all and today wasn't my day for the gotta have it meal. When I asked for a refund, he refused, told me to do it on the app, and then flat-out ignored me when I asked him to show me how. I checked the app myself, there's no refund option. So he lied, and I was left with no choice: walk away empty-handed after paying, or have it remade. I had the meal remade. Nate chose to argue, dismiss, and refuse help. Management needs to address this. When the sandwich was remade, the bread was the correct size after all. 9-25 Update The Business Manager DM'd me a link to The Habit feedback forum. I had already used that forum right after the incident. A rep named Melissa replied offering me something called a "free Char Ticket." I declined and asked for the owner or DM to contact me directly. She ignored my request. I went back on the same site asking again for a direct call from the shop owner or DM. At that point, The Habit Customer Care stopped responding altogether. I sent another support ticket, and The Habit flat out ignored that second contact request. This tells me you don't truly value your customers. In your DM, you didn't even address what happened, you just threw me a link. What I was going to say over the phone is this: Nate's tone with me was misogynistic, prejudiced, and deeply disrespectful. It made me extremely uncomfortable. You take people's money but won't give them the respect or time to stand up for themselves, or to shine a light on behaviors that must be addressed.
