I really cannot understand the negative reviews for this restaurant. We arrived without a reservation but were quickly welcomed and shown to a table and given menus that clearly showed all the prices, unlike suggested in some negative reviews. Food arrived quickly after our order, was delicious and, when it came to paying the bill, the charge was in exact accordance with the menu prices, which were good value. I thoroughly recommend anyone visiting Torrevieja to give this place a try. I could come up with conspiracy theories regarding the bad reviews given that most of them seem to have been posted by people with Russian or Slavic names but I'll leave that for others to contemplate.

I was recommended this bar by a Spaniard I met on the bus from Alacante airport to Torrevieja. It was excellent. No idea why some previous reviews accused them of "tourist pricing". The food was great (oxtail, pork knuckle for example), service great and pricing fair and transparent. Two main meals and four superb local wines cost us €35.

Our friends who live in Spain took us to this place. What a great find. There was a group of us so we had drinks and just a few tapas. On purchasing drinks we were give some lovely fish in batter and small meatballs. We then ordered three plates to share. Very large meatballs, a cod with eggs dish and meat and veg which were all very appetising. The service wasn’t with a smile but efficient as the place was very busy. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend a visit for an authentic Spanish experience.

Not sure about all the negative reviews. Came here with friends based on the wife's recommendation. Wasn't too busy but service was fully attentive. Recommendations were given on the food - which as typical foreigners, we ordered far too much. Wine was suggested and wasn't the most expensive. We had a plate of ham, cheese, 8 meatballs, filled aubergine, jumbo prawns, anchovies, patatas bravas, patatas Aioli, and a whole octopus. Definitely will return here.

Just superb, excellent selection of good tasting tapas. Staff very busy due to its popularity may give the impression of unfriendly staff but they're efficient and pleasant when they have time to chat. Another for my regular attendance. A bit late taking photos of the food as we were too busy enjoying it

Great place, excellent food and wine. This is not a tourist trap, it is a genuine Spanish restaurant catering for local people. Wonderful interior, I will definitely return!!! The menu de dai is excellent value!!

Un sitio estupendo con un ambiente increíble, un personal muy atento y una comida deliciosa. Aprovechamos para probar la comida india ya que en otros restaurantes suele ser bastante más cara, y, aunque obviamente hay opciones en el menú más económicas y más internacionalmente conocidas (pizzas, hamburguesas...), no nos importó pagar la diferencia, ya que quedamos mas que satisfechos. Desde luego un acierto 100%. Muchas gracias por el servicio y la atención! No cambien!

Genuine Spanish food and very authentic Spanish attention.. But when you do manage to get contact with the staff the attention was 200%. Very nice food of first class quality. Added bonus of being able to buy wine and olive oil to take home.

It's a bit out of the beaten path, but worth the visit. They have all sorts of serrano hams hanging from the ceiling, tons of wines and liquors for sale and to order. It's a traditional style Spanish tapas restaurant. There is outdoor seating as well as inside. The bar area has a large selection displaying what tapas are offered, stuffed peppers, lamb, meatballs, fish, shrimp, seafood, vegetables, stuffed eggplant, etc. You can also order from a menu actual dishes like the entrecôte with fries. I had the stuffed pepper, which was huge! Best stuffed pepper I have had in a restaurant..Very flavorful, perfectly seasoned, would order this again. The ambience is very local. I watched as "regulars" come in and don't even have to order, the staff knows what their usual is and are all greated by name. Loves this place, plus it was a block from my hotel making it very convenient. Would I visit again? Hands down YES.

Fantastic food but they didn’t give us the receipt, they just tell us the price. Next time we was observation, but they write a diffrent price on the receipt. In the menue it was obe price but in the receipt they had change! So sad. Be observant. But Fantastic food!

10 euros for one small beer and watered-down sangria, we are sorry that we are just tourist, we tried to speak spanish but unfortunately that do not help, however table next to us payed 5 euros for this same order🫨

Nosotros era un sitio que desde que abrieron estuvimos encantados con el trato muy bueno pero con el tiempo vimos muchas diferencias con unos clientes y otros sobre todo en las tapas y el trato cambio mucho y desde hace dos años más por eso dejamos de ir es un sitio que siempre recomendé pero hoy en día no lo recomiendo

Es un sitio sucio lleno de cucarachas los servicios siempre están sucios sin papel y en vez de tener jabón para lavarte las manos hay agua en el dispensador encima siempre hace muchísimo calor estás comiendo y callendosete la gota de sudor por la frente tienen el aire pero con la temperatura alta fatal no voy más y para colmo me encontré una cucaracha en el plato y la dueña y empleados riéndose de ellos

Would never go to this place again!!! We ordered Russian salad and garlic shrimp for starter ( starters was good). My biggest concern is about main dish ( 2 types of Cooked beef meat ) , that had a very strange flavor and taste ( like something that is not fresh or is cooked long ago) . When I told the server that we didn’t like the food he didn’t say anything and brought us the check ( that was just a piece of paper written by hand, not an actual check. I would say that this is one of the worst places where you can eat around this area especially considering that they don’t care about their customers , service and food quality!
