I’ll start by saying I had never before had Peruvian cuisine, however, the food here was amazing! This family owned and run business had great friendly staff and everything we had was delicious! I highly recommend checking this restaurant out.

This is my favorite restaurant!!!! I love the atmosphere especially when the saxophone is playing. The food is fantastic and the service is awesome. They are happy to accommodate special requests. I am gluten free. I love that this restaurant is family owned.

My family’s and I love Villa Peru. This is a great local, family-owned restaurant where they take pride in everything they do. One of the things that a restaurant can easily overlook is the kids meals. Villa Peru hand batters their chicken nuggets and fish for the kids meals. If they take that much pride in the kids food, imagine what goes into everything else! We have always had great food and have tried many of the menu items. We went out on their 4 year anniversary where they had a special menu and were blown away by the lobster risotto. The food is fresh, made to order, drinks are great, and live music is played on the weekend. Villa Peru is a Tucson gem! If you’ve never tried Peruvian food, you need to!

Awesome food! Everything was fresh, authentic, and the food came out in a timely manner! The hostess was so sweet and accommodating as well. We will definitely be back! 10/10 recommend.

This place was awesome. The servers were great, the food was top notch, and those PISCO SOURS were life!!! Only good things to say, we will definitely be back in the future

Villa Peru is probably in the top 5 restaurants in Tucson. The food is amazing - especially the beef and seafood (90% of the menu).

Great food, great service. I took a Peruvian here to try it with me. He was not disappointed. Their ceviche is light, fresh, and delicious. The lomo saltado uses a perfect beef that is perfectly tender and flavorful. The chaufa (fried rice) was also great. We enjoyed everything we tried here. The pisco drinks were excellent. The service here was friendly and their staff knows the menu very well. Presentation was beautiful and showed the pride they take in their food. They definitely earned five stars and extra tip.

If you haven’t ventured out to try Villa Peru, you’re missing a great experience. A taste of Peru in Tucson. Welcoming, quaint, transportive, all requirements of a little piece of heaven in the city. I had lamb shank with quinoa and a beef chicken and pork stew with rice, absolutely amazing. The leche de tigre ceviche was a delicious tangy oniony pungent punch of flavor, really unforgettable. The guava cheesecake, fabulous. Donut was interesting with a great molasses type syrup.

I strongly recommend. Service and food were amazing. We especially enjoyed the ceviche and tuna which are perfect for a hot summer day. Reservations are encouraged for dinner. We will definitely be back.

Food is so good!! And it came out quickly. Perfect portions. We did sit right next to the bathroom so we wish we could have sat elsewhere but it still ended up being great.

I had the causa acevichada and anticuchos de corazon - both new dishes for me. Both dishes were excellently seasoned, tender and delicious. They have some nice wines by the glass (I had Doña Paula Malbec). They forgot my wine for a bit, but eventually remembered and were very apologetic about the wait (I didn't mind). The server brought me crema Volterra, lovely flan-like dessert, because of the wine. It's was fantastic. It's obvious they take great pride and care in the food here. I'll be back.

Authentic! Delicious flavors♥️ The green sauce was out of this world unique! Plate presentation is definitely photo worthy 🥰. Everything about the this place made you feel welcomed and appreciated. Coming back for sure 👍

This place will surprise you! Little door next to another restaurant. Walk in to beautiful place settings on natural wood tables. The beverage menu is as long as the food nenu, both with lots of variety. You will wait a bit for your meal, because all is made fresh from scratch. Service was great. Family operated (check out the chefs) with lots of love. There's even hand lotion in the super clean restrooms.

This restaurant is narrow but long and probably fits 14 tables not including the bar. It feels like 12 Grimmauld Place in Harry Potter novel and I literally walked past it a couple of times without noticing it. I'm not an expert in Peruvian food but I had some of the best meals here. Definitely get the lamb shank and veal heart. The appetizer platter is a good way to sample different things with friends. The wine here is also reasonably priced.

I was surprisingly pleased with Ceviche; the ceviche was an excellent portion, and the flavor hit the spot, Aji de gallina, alfajores, and picarones out of this world, it make me feel like if I was at home Peru. Excellent, friendly, professional interaction.

Sweet little hidden gem of Tucson!! Locally owned by a young family. Highly recommend getting reservations ahead of time - there's a very small waiting area that seats 2-3 people. It's a very beautiful and intimate restaurant, skinny and long, which gives a beautiful atmosphere especially at night. There is a jazz saxophone player (John Hughes Music) that plays on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9pm. Great for a date night or girls night out! You MUST try the Pisco Sour cocktail - especially if you love a sweet and sour profile. There's only one area for a larger group seating, or outside on the small patio out front. Otherwise most seating is 2-4 people per table due to size constraints - so be sure to plan ahead! This is definitely one of my new favorites for sure! 10/10 highly recommend!!

Villa Peru is an amazing place to dine in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson. They offer some of the best steak and seafood dishes in the area.

Not a risk taker when it comes to food. So when a friend suggested a Peruvian restaurant, I was skeptical to say the least. So glad I went and tried this amazing place. First off, the space is small, however it is used well and decorated beautifully. Very comfortable atmosphere. The food is amazing. We tried so many different entrees and appetizers. My favorite was the steak and the rotisserie chicken. It was so delicious. It has become one of my favorite places to dine. And I love to recommend and take friends and family. Not once has any one been disappointed! This is a picture of the Losato. Perfectly prepared beef with onions, peppers, tomatoes, served with garlic rice, the best Yukon potato fries, all with the juice of the meat adding the perfect flavor. Pisco Margarita to top it off.

Great food, very cool build out and atmosphere, and the service was excellent. We tried a bit of everything and it was all good. Don't skip dessert, get the Picarones!

This was our first time dining here and everything was delicious! The ceviche was our favorite dish (mahi-mahi and shrimp). My husband had Villa Peru linguini and I had the Aji de Gallina. The shrimp in the Villa Peru linguini dish was overcooked, otherwise it was delicious. The drinks were amazing and service was great, however we had to remind our server of a couple times to bring an item we had requested but had forgotten. To his defense, it was busy. We'll definitely come back and try other dishes!

Delicious food. Makes me miss south Florida. I highly recommend the lomo saltado. The food was beautifully presented! Perfect date night. They have a nice indoor and outdoor seating and you’re able to see the chefs prep the meals in an empty open kitchen. The leche de Tigre was delicious but wouldn’t get it again. Was mostly the juice some the ceviche. Just order the ceviche and call it a day. They have an amazing selection of wine!

This restaurant offers exceptional cuisine complemented by a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. The upscale ambiance was enhanced by a live saxophone musician, creating a truly enjoyable dining experience. The service was also outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, professional, and consistently present throughout the meal. I highly recommend trying the cheesecake for dessert, it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning and strongly recommend this place to others.

My wife took me here because she said they serve a great Pisco Sour and great Peruvian food. She was so right on both counts. She also said the recent renovation made what was already a nice place into a great place, with a partially open kitchen in the front, a quiet bar in the back, and live-edge wooden tables with turquoise inlay throughout the restaurant. The former small entry door to the right has been supplanted by a big, pivoting glass door that delivers you to the center of the front dining room, which — by the way — was hopping with a Galantine’s Day dinner of about 30 ladies dressed in pink and red, being serenaded by a strolling violin player (don’t expect this every night ☹️). We were seated at a great little table for two outside the glass-walled private room, where we could enjoy the action and see the stunning live-edge table in the private room, along with a very colorful wall painted to evoke the Andes. We started with a perfect Pisco Sour, then took advantage of half-priced wine by the bottle on Tuesday nights, opting for a tasty California meritage. Aji Amarillo is one of my favorite ingredients, which the chef used to great effect in the Aji de Galina, which perfectly balanced Aji and chicken flavors in a creamy sauce without too much Aji kick. We followed the Galina with the Ceviche Mixto Clasico, which gave us a taste of several different fish and shellfish marinated in a Leche de Tigre with just the right amount of roar. We ended with the roasted plantains with ice cream, which were delicious. The service was great, not only by our server but also by the owner, who checked on us from time to time. We will be back the next time we are in Tucson. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice

Loved this place since they open! I’ve been to Peru and the ceviche they serve here is just like the one I had at Mercado Uno in Lima . I was just there last weekend and was so happy to see the expansion and renovation!!! Looks so elegant, inviting and romantic!

This place is simply amazing. JD was an awesome server. We will definitely be returning. Very Vegan friendly JD explained everything that could be made vegan. The food was so flavorful. The chef was very kind as well. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for providing authentic Peruvian food.

Have lived in Tucson my whole life and looking for a new restaurant to take my parents. Found this place online and was excited to try. Never had Peruvian cuisine but am so happy to say that this place exceeded my expectations!! From the cocktails to the appetizers to the entrees and desert, EVERYTHING was full of flavor and dishes were adequately portioned!! The service was 10/10 and the ambience was so fun and vibrant! Myself, my parents and boyfriend loved our experience here and will definitely be coming back! Thank you Villa Peru 😊

We got to the restaurant at the designated time of our reservation, 5:30, and there was no table for us. No bueno. The hostess escorted us to the bar, and we ended up eating there. The food and service made up for the rocky start. We had 2 Pisco Sours and a shrimp ceviche to start, followed by Carne Con Seco and Duck Confit for our main courses. The ribeye was tender and flavorful & the duck was succulent, falling off the bone. I especially enjoyed the cilantro rice with the duck. There was live music which made it too loud, and we were glad that they took a break while we were eating. We would definitely return for an encore.

The food was delicious and Charles, our server, was fantastic. I will definitely go back. Even though we shared our dishes with each other, there are still items on the menu I would like to try. Great atmosphere too! I ordered Flan for dessert.

Great dinner at Villa Peru last night. Oysters fest, so we started with oysters with salt and lime (very good) and oysters tiradito (which were next level). Definitely coming back for this. We then split an entree of the Snapper a Lo Mochi. Definitely an item to split, as you get an entire snapper. One of the best things I've ever had. Sooooo good. Our server Magda helped us with our choices and was very insightful in assisting us in choosing the right wine. Just a great night out. Coming back soon.

If you get past the most intimidating door to a restaurant, you will be well deserving of a delicious authentic tasting Peruvian meal and presentation! The Aji de gallina tasted like Ive had in Peru and the ceviche was citrus and mahi mahi delightful! Don't forget the Pisco sour, national drink of Peru!

We've been here many times in the past and always loved it. Last night, we came for oyster fest and were not disappointed! Oysters were served with delicious ceviche toppers, each with a unique flavor profile. We also shared one of their classic beef dishes. They recently expanded the dining area and paid particular attention to the details. Beautiful wood tables and accents. And to top it off, our server Christian was amazing Nailed it! Can't wait to go back!

I made a reservation for two at 8:00 PM on a Saturday night, and from start to finish the experience was exceptional. The reservation process itself was seamless, quick, and handled with professionalism. My girlfriend and I were celebrating Valentine’s Day a week early (because who actually wants to go out on Valentine’s Day?), and we were greeted promptly by the hostess and escorted to our table without delay. Our server—whose name unfortunately escapes me—was attentive, personable, and consistently present throughout the evening without ever being intrusive. We began with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Next were the oysters, which were incredibly fresh and beautifully presented with a hominy pico. The Blue Point oysters were exceptionally clean, with no grit or shell fragments—clearly handled with care. For our entrées, she ordered the Aji de Gallina and I chose the Lomo Saltado. Both dishes were executed beautifully and bursting with flavor. Portions were more than fair, and we both left feeling completely satisfied. Dessert sealed the experience. The flan was excellent, and our server graciously prepared an off-menu affogato for me, which was nothing short of incredible. Overall, this fine dining experience in Tucson absolutely delivers at its price point. Everything—from service to execution to atmosphere—was spot on. We will definitely be returning.

We celebrated our son and his Peruvian wife's wedding at Villa Peru over the Christmas holidays. We let Frida and Charles know ahead of time our hope for a special evening - and boy did they deliver! The table was beautifully set with special touches. The food, as usual, was exceptional. Our daughter-in-law loved the authentic Peruvian dishes, as well as the Peruvian-inspired contemporary options. Two in our party of 8 are Gluten Free and one is Soy-Free. The waitstaff was familiar with the allergies, knowledgeable of the menu, and eager to offer recommendations. Everyone loved the the Wine and Cocktail Options (Pisco Sour!), the Various Ceviche selections, Arroz Chaufa and Tallerin Verde Con Bistek. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the service and attention to detail was notable. We highly recommend Villa Peru for authentic traditional and contemporary Peruvian cuisine, for a date night, a special occasion or a neighborhood go-to ! Thank you to Mama Frida and Papa Walter and Frida and Charles for making our celebration so special!!!

Food here is delicious. However, the service leaves something to be desired. We went for Mother's Day, and when we opted for their "Mother's Day Special" which came with an automatic 20% gratuity. On the Receipt they labeled it as a 20% service charge, no doubt to full those not paying attention into tipping more. Now I am all for showing GRATITUDE when services are rendered well and above and beyond. Here it felt as though since the waiter knew he was getting paid regardless that he didn't need to bother with checking up on the table, refilling waters, clearing empty plates, asking if another beverage was wanted... I feel when you're paying $200+ for a meal it should definitely come with great service at a minimum.

It was great while there was the live music. As soon as that stopped, the atmosphere completely changed. I felt like waiter wasn't the most knowledgeable , but he was polite enough and too a cute photo of us.. Food was delicious, meat was fall off the bone tender, enough for leftovers, oh and that ceviche 😍

Final made it to their ceviche festival and I wasn’t disappointed. I went kinda late and without a reservation so I sat at the bar. The experience was still good. The service was good and the ceviche even better. I’m definitely going back to try the regular menu and the lobster festival.

Gorgeous restaurant serving delicate and delicious and beautifully cooked Peruvian dishes. The prices run on the expensive side as the restaurant serves a certain clientele, but it’s a beautiful quiet place to go for a few light appetizers, a shared platter, and cocktails. The service is impeccable and the food beautifully cooked and served. If you’re a Tucson Foodie member, the restaurant also offers several nice perks.

A

This place is adorable, the ambiance is everything! Our waiter was lovely. We came for lobster fest, and were not disappointed! The only minor complaint was the calamari in the seafood soup was very overcooked making it chewy and rubbery. But the soup itself was wonderful flavor. I love Peruvian food and this place does it justice

S
Shelley Chen

The food was great! Portions were a bit small, but the flavors were excellent—just like a good Peruvian restaurant in NYC. We dined on Christmas Eve, which made things a bit chaotic. However, the waiters repeatedly squeezing through the narrow space behind our chairs felt disrespectful for an established restaurant.

E

Expensive ceviche with exotic ingredients. Each ceviche was good. If it came with a side I'd be happier.

M
Michael Tuccio

The ceviche was the best part of the meal. We had the linguine with steak and shrimp. The steak was over cooked and so was the shrimp, linguine was very dry. Arroz con Maricos was mushy but had lots flavor! The dessert we had was deep fried fritter with ice cream. You have to get it! It's great for sharing. No draft options were available unfortunately. we sat outside, enjoyed the Beautiful atmosphere an sunset tonight. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. We would come back but only for ceviche and dessert. Timing for service could have been more faster.

I love Peruvian food, and decided to check this place for dinner. The traditional civiche was the best I've experienced. The traditional potato dish - Papa A la was good and the traditional pisco sour. The spicy sirloin tip entre - Incan Fuego Saltado was delicious.

Visited this quaint restaurant. It is in a small strip mall. The mall itself is not very handicapped accessible, the only wheelchair ramps are on the ends of the mall. The restaurant itself is not accessible either. The entrance is blocked by shelving & the hostess podium which had to be moved to allow wheelchair access. The restroom could be wheelchair accessible if they would remove all the high chairs, from the hallway to the restroom and also remove the table from the restroom itself. The waiter Marico was very knowledgeable of Peru and the various dishes. He recommended the Papa Rellenas for an appetizer. It was 1 croquet. The croquet was delightfully crunchy on the outside with fluffy mashed potato underneath. The center filling was spicey beef. I ordered a cerviche platter. The each of the 3 cervicheswas plated on top of cold mashed potato with either peppers or avocado. My companion ordered Lomo Saltado. The food was very flavorful and presented beautifully.

Reserved a table for 3 for their ceviche festival. We are 3 government workers from out of town well travelled and well versed in various food and service. We were excited to try the various ceviches but the experience left a less than good flavor in our mouths. We were seated by the door, was very cold and when asked to move to a table that opened up we were denied by a young busser that was less than friendly to our server Lucas and made it known that the table was for another reservation. Our food came out without egg, primary ingredient and took about 1 hour to get or ceviches to the table. One of which we wanted to try was all out supposedly. We never got the treatment, greeting, or service the other patrons got so we assume it was how we looked or who we are. The ceviches were full lime forward and did not taste whatsoever like leche de tigre. I could not finish mine as I could not stomach the flavor nor could my friends. The special was to be 2 lobster tail ceviche and the lobster tails looked more like the size of langostinos. I’m from SA and I was highly disappointed . We left hungry and disappointed. I would recommend our server Lucas from here as he provides excellent communication and excellent service but everything else I cannot.

3.5 Stars . Our Peruvian guests invited us to this restaurant. According to them there are two Peruvian restaurants in town and this one was less expensive but better. We arrived early on a Thursday night and experienced no wait . Waiter was friendly. One of us had a Pisco sour that was ok and very strong. Appetizer was a sample platter . Mahi Mahi Ceviche ( Delicious) , Ceviche de Pascado (good) Picarones ( meh) , Mussels ( I did not try but others liked) . Hubby ordered Lamshank and thought it was good , lomo saltado ( good). Others had bistecca steak with chimchurri . Overall food was good but just not for me . The atmosphere was lacking too. The food in my opinion was way overpriced . not my cup of tea unfortunately

I had seen advertisements for this place all over Facebook so decided to try it out. I had a lobster and shrimp meal and tried the ceviche. The ceviche was excellent but the lobster meal was mediocre and actually kind of cold by the time it was served. I watched two tables who were seated after me come, eat, and leave before I had dessert. The server, Frida, was incredibly slow and disinterested. I ordered the passionfruit cheesecake for desert and what a let down, the passion fruit is syrup, no actual fruit. All in all, it was a mediocre experience and for the price there are several other places I would go before coming here again.

The Valentine day food was so Americanized spoke to the manager with no clear answer. I had the veal it was a little salty the mash potatoe was orange but was ok. My daughter had the lobster the rice, the rice was hard. They change the menu for this day. If you are a Peruvian restaurant stick to serving authentic food don't changed. I give those food a 3 star out of five. T

Overrated. I wish it wasn't. It all started with our reservation at 7:00 p.m... got sat at 7:43 p.m. no exaggeration. We had made an opentable reservation as if we didn't... When we pressed them about the time they had the audacity to say that they cannot force people off the tables. It's really an unprofessional response considering that the restaurant sets the time between tables on opentable. Have you guys considered giving your patrons more time? Anyways, it just kept going down hill from there. Our server finally shows up unphased. By the time he showed up we had agreed on the wine bottle, the appetizers, and our main course. We put in everything at the same time just in case we don't see him again. We had a few questions since the people I was with were not familiar with the food and he was clueless. I answered most of them and Google did the rest. No problem, moving on... Our appetizers showed up before our bottle of wine came to the table. Then the food came. Oh boy. It was mediocre at best. My heart skewers were very hard, the baked potato was ok, the ceviche needs some acidity and my steak was generic at best. The wine was good. I didn't understand the service. Our food runner helped us more than the server. Not worth it. Not even with lower prices.

We have eaten here twice before, so my expectations for a fun evening were in place. We had a party of 6. Our waiter was incredible, but he was so busy with more tables than any wait staff should have, there was a long wait in between returns to our table. I requested the music to be turned down, as it was so loud I could not hear across the big round table... that didn't happen. Dinner was finally served. Everyone's dinner looked wonderful, but when I put my fork into the linguini, it was one large congealed lump. My evening dinner was ruined. Cold... shrimp... overcooked and cold. The beef was the only thing cooked properly, but it was cold too.... mine was the only cold dinner, so I didn't say anything and let the others enjoy. There are so many good restaurants around... I'm not likely to return...

Very disappointing first experience. Despite having a reservation for our anniversary, we waited 45 minutes to be seated and were placed at a small high table. After sitting down, we were then told it was a fixed menu only, which was never communicated when we booked. The restaurant was clearly overbooked—guests who arrived after us were seated first. While I understand it was New Year’s Eve, they shouldn’t take reservations they can’t honor. The hostesses were kind and apologetic and took all the blame, while the manager never once apologized or addressed guests directly. Poor communication and poor management. We ended up leaving and dining elsewhere.

Bad experience, not authentic Peruvian food and bad service. I was there four times maybe but always left the place very disappointed about service especially because the people who attended the tables not have any idea about Peruvian food, so it’s overpriced and bad . I am not recommended this place and I swear never come back . They need to be more respectful either the consumers and prepared their waitress. The food was bad, they changed the concept of authentic Peruvian food.

I have never seen a more disrespectful front staff in my life. The manager was beyond rude and my girlfriend disrespectful after our meal. They had three people quiz us about our IDs. If you are reading this, I’ll send you my birth certificate. Kind of sad that a bartender doesn’t know how to check IDs. Vibe was cool is guess. I hope this restaurant fails.

Oyster Festival at Villa Peru, has been the worse and most disappointing experience in Tucson at a restaurant that promotes great food and service! Not to mention how blend the fish ceviche was, along with the quinoa salad. Blend and lacks of that Peruvian flavor. The server was so confused along with who ever came out the kitchen! Instead of just fixing the flavors of my dish they got rid of it. Long story short, everything took long and it was a disaster! Not coming back and do not recommend to anyone who really knows about Peruvian cuisine! This place was a zero star If I could only rate it that way!!!! November 13, 2025 Pm

So disappointed in this place. We went there for New Year’s Eve which was supposed to be a special night for us. There was a set menu for $80 per person which I selected to order from their regular menu when I made the reservation rather than the set menu. Was told when arrived that the regular menu was not available only the preset menu. It was $80 which we got 2 very small appetizers, 2 very small entrees… the lamb chops were so small it was like it was off a child’s menu. The cheesecake he ordered was frozen solid and could barely even cut into it. The drinks were very pricey and then on top of that there was a 20% tip added for very subpar service. When the server knows they are getting a guaranteed 20%, why go above and beyond? We spent $275 for hardly any food and subpar service. We have been to high end steak restaurants and gotten a full hearty meal, appetizers, drinks and desserts with exceptional service for less. My husband had to stop on the way home for another fast food meal because he was still hungry after we spent almost $300 on dinner. Highly disappointed and won’t be back.
