The restaurant aboard the mcagcc twentynine palms CA I've always had decent food and service but the gentleman by the name of Joseph that works here and also works at the carls in yucca valley CA is absolutely amazing this guy should be running the restaurant his attention to detail and customer service is superior to any I've ever been given give this guy a promotion!

Place was very cleaned, especially the restrooms. Soda machines were clean and drinks were available. The chicken tenders were cooked to perfection and delicious. We also got a biscuit and it was very yummy. GM Matilde was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Overall a very friendly atmosphere.

This place is great! The shift leader Josh was incredibly helpful and even replaced my burger when I what I wanted came out wrong. They were very busy so I didn’t mind waiting as they were obviously short staffed. The cashier, I think her name was Beth was very friendly and I immediately felt welcome! I absolutely recommend this place to anyone on base!

Great service every time. Workers and manager walks around asking if everything is good. Also asks if I need anything, they even ask if I would like them to get me a drink refill. If they see I’m finished with my meal they offer to take my tray. Dining area is always being checked and cleaned if needed. Management Matilda and Sara Outstanding service.

Having never been to a Carl’s Jr before, I have to say I’m impressed. My family and I hit up the drive thru during non busy hours so it took longer than expected, but that’s a good thing! The food was fresh and hot. We don’t hit up fast food often, but this place is good to go!

@6/27/25 around 4pm the two lady's were so amazing! they made my experience wonderful, they were helpful, kind, thoughtful, and patient , and professional when I pulled up to the speaker to order Sarah didn't waste no time to greet me you could hear how sweet she was ! she went out of her way to help me I needed help to get inside the building but Sarah and Sandra they made sure that I received my food the way I order it! everything was made fresh and fast! they treated us like we were family, I would definitely go back because of them! may Jesus Christ bless them both abundantly!

Better than what I remember 15 years ago, but really, not much. The Angus beef tastes like it's mixed meat. I say that after hundreds of other, actual Angus burgers. It'll be awhile before I go again.

New renovations and staff are killing it! Food is actually good again. Been here several times prior to renovations and it was always a harrowing experience. 100% failure rate to deliver overcooked, cold, stale food. Employee attitudes were atrocious. But NOW, they seem to have fixed it. Most employees are warm and inviting, there is one that wears a day of the dead mask who seems to have an attitude problem every single day, but all else are very amicable. And the food seems to always come out right now. Good stop for a quick bite ***UPDATE: burritos have declined pretty quickly, Sad. so this place is recently remodeled... why don’t the exterior lights ever work? Or are the employees turning them off when it gets dark to deter potential customers??? Hmmm...

Extremely slow service. Not sure if it is because the employees are lazy or just bad at their jobs. Good food, but expensive. Would not recommend going here if you need to get food quickly.

It’s a fast food burger place. I personally enjoy it more than it’s direct competitors but tastes vary and it’s not what I would call a great burger. This particular location is always slow getting food out, even when there isn’t much of a line. But if you’re in the area and need a burger, it’ll do.

The food was ok and the facility is clean. A huge turn off for me was the manager yelling order numbers when they were done. There were only a few people in the restaurant and it echoed when she would yell. It wasn't loud so I don't know what she was competing with. It was over the top and would cut off our conversation while we were eating. I'm not sure if we'll go back. Maybe we'll try the drive thru next time.

Food is ok. Was parked- most likely to help drive thru times stay low. Just wish they would have put the sauces, they had asked me if I wanted, in the bag. (In all fairness, the cashier was in the middle of a personal conversation with a coworker when he asked me what sauces I wanted......)

Their tenders make them EXTREMELY, PAINFULLY, EXCRUCIATINGLY slow. A buddy and I, went to order 3 of their (5 pieces) of tenders, and 2 of their (3 pieces), 3 of their western burgers and 2 of their famous star burgers, with all orders for fries, except for 1 side of crisscuts and 1 side of fried zucchini, for a family order. So in total, we had ordered 21 pieces of their fried chicken tenders, and 5 burgers. We were in the lobby waiting, and after 5 minutes we're getting impatient, and start looking around to see what's the hold up. We notice our burgers and sides are done, since they've been stock piled up, in what I assume is their 'send out' window. However, we dont see anything resembling a tender order, so we figure, that must mean they're still cooking. So we continue to wait, and another 5 minutes goes by. We've been waiting 10 minutes now, so we ask the person running the registers, what the hold up is, since we have family sitting at home hungry. They then kindly inform us, that tenders had only just been placed to cook, since they make them fresh, and were breading enough chicken to cook for our order. Enlight of that, we were to wait another 5 minutes, for our entire meal to be ready. By the time everything was done, our burgers and sides were cold, and whatever they use to batter their tenders, was not even worth the wait. Even if they are "freshly made," to the order they make them for. As well as, they were not nearly long, or thick enough strips, to be considered a meal. Plus, whatever they cooked them in, made them a disgusting, dirty gold color. NOTES: ■ Tenders take at least 15+ minutes, for them. So god forbid if you want tenders (even if it's a kids tender meal), and others ahead, or behind you, want some tenders too. You could be waiting upto 30 minutes or more, and that's if you're told by the person running the registers, how long itll take, AND they've been keeping track of, if someone ahead also ordered tenders. ■ Whatever ingredients they use for breading tenders, isnt even that good for the wait, compared to the burgers. ■ Dont order their tenders, just for the general understanding, that they are not worth the time. I cannot stress this enough. ■ Their fried zucchini is bland, and still not healthy, compared to a cookie. ■ Dont order a western, when you'll be waiting a while, since the onion rings on the burger get soft.

Their breakfast biscuits are good but the eggs are fake and don't taste good. They're also expensive. For just two it's more than $6 bucks! Hit or miss on friendly staff or it being busy. Wish I could give a better review but just being honest.

If you have the time to go through the drive through (usually 5-10 minute), ALWAYS check your food. I've been through the drive through exactly 3 times and gotten what I ordered exactly 1 time. Going inside is better, and somehow faster...

First off this is not fast food. 15 minutes for 2 burgers because they shut everything down 2 hours before closing time. Nice! Don't have medium cups.... How. It's literally the most common size.... So I had to get a large. Bro, you're lazy night crew isn't kewl. I will say the comic relief was admirable. That's why I saved the second star. Food was ok except for the fact the tomatoes didn't come off when I asked specifically for no tomatoes. Got to be kidding me. It was fresh though cuz we watched em make it all.

I had 30 minutes to grab some food the other day. There could have easily been up to 20 cars in the queue, so I calculated I had about 10 minutes to spare if it took up to 20 minutes to get food. pretty busy for a late morning. this was not to be. by the time I got to the window I was late. I looked into the building and noted the painfully slow staff floating around the kitchen. They were moving around that shop like jelly fish would float about, waiting for an errant wave to move them along. I've worked FF in the past, and what I saw in there was wack. There is something wrong in that shop! The key defining measure of a fast food joint is speed. I feel bad for the manager, bc it looks like she was the only one trying to move with a purpose in that restaurant. that second star is actually for the napkins they included in the bag. go team.

I’m leaving this review while in the drive through. That’s how long it’s taking. Consistently the slowest “fast” food place I’ve ever been to. Not sure if they’re constantly under staffed or just bad management. It was like this 5 years ago and it’s still like this.

My family and I wanted a quick lunch and Carl's Jr. was convenient. I had the Guacamole Bacon Angus Burger which was okay but the meat patty was 4 hours old in the warmer dry. My family had the Western BBQ Burger and their experience was sad. The meat was dry, three days in the desert and sunburned dry. No sauces. The fries were meh. Not enough ketchup was provided.

This is probably one of my least liked Carl's Jr. The service isn't great and the management is very poor. For instance I left the store last time I was there due to the fact that manager told the person taking orders to stop taking orders. Now I could understand that if the place was extremely busy, but it wasn't there were probably 10 people in the store (more than half already sitting down eating) and the drive thru maybe had 5 cars in it. There didn't appear to be a lack of staff either so why the manager said that I do not know. Another issue is that if you go in for breakfast on some days they state that they are outta biscuits and I'm in the store before 8 am. There is no reason for this because they make their biscuits in store and should not "run out" by 8 am ( they're NOT that busy)! Simple fact is the management is the problem and not workers.

Rude staff, including the male manager today 11/18 /2019 noon drive thru... Customer service is worse than bad.. Took forever ... flat drinks . Poor quality food. no sauce ( requested) Bag of food torn, NO ReCEIPT .. Manager didn't care when complaint was made for rudeness .. Would not give corporate number.. This was once a great place food etc .. Each of the last few times is even worse than the time before .. Will not be returning . and hope this gets to cooperate officials ..

Service is slow and not good. Expect to wait long even if there are no cars ahead. They constantly mix up orders, get them wrong, and take forever. If it wasn’t the only fast food option on base, I would not go there.

If someone asks for no mayo and you put thousand island on the burger guess what the main ingredient in thousand island is, it's mayonnaise. So maybe check if the person knows that that sauce is on the burger instead of getting an attitude after they bring it back.

I gave this place 3 tries within my 2 month stay. They seem short staffed & inadequately trained. They couldn’t get a simple combo meal correctly after having to repeat it 3 times. Lackluster at best.

If I could rate it without giving a star I would! Their food is normally gross and not worth the price, but I decided to try a shake well for one they only have 1 size and made me pay extra for whip cream and then I finally got my shake and the chocolate wasn't even blended all the way with the vanilla ice cream and it had little to no whip cream and then to top it off it had ice chunks in it 😒 honestly I'm so disappointed and mad that I even gave them another chance and once agian it was horrible!

The staff here are so slow. They are always out of half their menu and you end up stuck waiting in line for 30 minutes to get nothing because they move so slow. I’ve never had such terrible experiences at a fast food place before. I’m amazed they’re still open considering. Don't waste your time, just go somewhere else.

I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and it took over eight and a half minutes to get. There was one customer in front of me and one in the drive-thru. It seemed like the team leader had no clue on how to run a floor. I was a restaurant manager for fast food for 19 years and have never seen this place so screwed up as it was today.

First I didn't mind the wait but it took 30 minutes to get my food. Next my order got messed up, so the wait for nothing pissed me off. Honestly I'd go off base to McDonalds. Wish they had a Wendy's here then maybe it wouldn't suck. Still pissed about my order. What a waste of $11 dollars. The only good thing I can say is there drink fountain wasn't out.

Ordered 1 strawberry shake, 1 cheeseburger, & 1 medium combo chicken club. After waiting over 10 minutes and not seeing any food, I approached the counter. The employee found our food order (dine in) in a brown bag waiting on a drive thru customer. UNSAT!

I had to give this place one star cause you cant give zero..... the only one star part is the guy who was manning the drive through taking the orders, saved me a couple bucks by offering a combo box... the girl at the window that took my money, she had to ask me twice "what did you order again?" And I ended up sitting in the drive through for 20 minutes. This was really poor service and I hope the manager can fix this. Also the soda machine must be broke because I ordered a sprite to drink and it tastes like straight medicine water.... nothing like sprite. Just for reference today is 4/29/19 and time is 6:27PM, stating this so if the manager sees she can confront the employee responsible.

Wasn’t too busy when I went, came here for a quick stop and head back to work. I ordered a burger and asked for no onions... the burger they gave me consisted of nothing but a patty and bread... I give them a call just to tell them, “hey I’m kinda upset but, it’s whatever.” But instead, I hear them pick up their phone, and then immediately end the call, “maybe the call cut out”, I call again, and they send me to some voicemail...

Going through the drive thru is excruciating at 1800 on Sunday. There were 2 cars in front of me and as I pulled in the lead car moved up to the window. Then I spent about 7 minutes waiting for the car in front of me to order. After that frustrating wait I pulled up to the speaker and was told I needed to wait. After another 5 minutes the attendant came back, took my order and told me she would have my total at the window. I pulled around to find the two cars that we're ahead of me are still waiting for their food. 5 minutes went by and another car pulled in behind me allegedly successfully placing their order, I decided to turn off my car at this point because none of the cars in front of me have moved and there has been no action in the window and I am nearly 20 minutes into my drive thru experience. After another 5 minutes my wife and I decide to just leave, as we are preparing to pull away the lead car is finally given their order. I wasted nearly 25 minutes and I won't be returning to this Carl's Jr any time soon.

Slooooooooooooooooow service. They just opened after being closed for a remodel. My burger was dry and then bun was hard. Fries were cold. I didn't have time to get a replacement order as it took me 45 minutes to make it through the drive thru and my lunch break was only 30 minutes

They forgot part of my drive-thru order, which is whatever- not a problem. I parked and went inside once I realized it wasn't there, and asked for the missing item. They gave it to me, but I could hear them all the way from the back calling me a liar and going on for several minutes about how I had gotten the aforementioned item and just wanted more. I don't need that in my life, just give me the food I paid for, Lord.

Sooooo slow! Waited over 20 min for a simple order of chicken tenders while the staff just lallygagged and giggled in the back. Go somewhere else.

I was coming in here to use a coupon on the rewards app, I tell the lady at the register about it, gives me attitude, as im just respectfully asking her if she could do it. I understand it’s 8 pm but im being as polite as I can

Wow,ordered a grilled cheese breakfast sandwich and I get straight up not grilled bread barley melted cheese and undercooked meat, worst part we ordered 2 , straight to the trash waste of 20 dollars, Carl's jr has become a overpriced joke,with the poor quality food, definitely will never waste money here again after being a customer for year's.

tl;dr: Incredibly slow service, and still got order wrong My grandfather and I have gone to this location many times over the past 2 years or so, and each time has almost always had consistantly slow service. Tonight, though, was ridiculous as we were the first in line, and yet had to wait 3 to 4 times longer than other fast food restuants in town, only to be told to go around front, with the excuse that they "couldn't let someone sit at the window for more than 3 minutes." When we refused due to only ordering two double regular cheese burgers, we were then requested, by what was as could be assumed to be the manager, who told us that they had just dropped the meat, and it would take a few minutes longer. We ended up pulling around, and had to continue to wait, only to see at least one car go through, meaning that they had done another order before ours, even though we were first in line. When we finally got our food, the order was wrong, as they had added in more than we had ordered. We returned the additional product, and left. What should have been a minute or so stop, turned into much more. We will NOT be returning to this location, and I would advise anyone else looking for quick food to go elsewhere, as the time it would take for you to go to another place and back would undoubtedly take less time than waiting for this location to supply the requested food..

Let me start off by saying I absolutely love the employees at this Carl's jr. They're all so nice. I come here all the time. I have no issues with them. However whatever yahoo thinks it's ok to lock the doors at 10pm and force us to use the drive through when they close at 12 is very upsetting. I don't want to use the drive through. I want a place to sit cause I work late. There should be a specified time that the dine in closes vs the drivethrough. I work in food service believe me I get it. The manager wants to keep the place clean so they can get out and go home after a long day. Especially since they are always understaffed. None of which is their fault. But communication is key. There needs to be a sign specifying a time that dine in closes. Right now it just says TILL- But drive through easily says 12am. Not right in my opinion. Can this be fixed? And can you guys Bring back the side salads.? Really missing them at this point.

Service is so ungodly slow that you end up parked in the drive-thru line for 20 to 30 minutes. I don't know if this is a staffing thing that needs to be fixed or if the staff on hand are just inept but probably one of the worst places to get any kind of service in or around base

No ketchup! Probably the first time in my life I have heard that at a fast food joint May 22 Update - workers obviously don’t care about customer service. Do not speak clearly when giving instructions @ drive thru window. While waiting worker rudely opened window for the 2nd time and said we had to wait in parking lot when there was no one else in line. Manager parks in the closest spot to the door, understand now how management affects morale. Just delivered partial meal after 10mins of waiting. Dealt with 2 staff, both terrible service. Not fast food by any means

Used to be great. Looks like the staff all left except the slowest most lost one, looks like a manager now even. The plus side is that her hours are posted on the wall so we know when to avoid going there. So that's nice at least.

3 piece chicken tender is one only thing great about this place. Aside from that be prepared to get your order wrong often or get told to return the extra straw they gave you by mistake which I clearly had no clue about. If you have more time on your hands treat yourself to anywhere but this place.

At the window there was no apology either or an offer to compensate for my wasted time. Then they mess up my milkshake order and don't even fill it up properly as if it's half eaten. There has been several times inside location and drive through have been long. On top of that the workers just seem like they could care less. Honestly get rid of Carl's jr and replace it with something better.

Maybe next time ONE order is backing up the drive thru they can get pulled to the side or parked so the line keeps moving and EVERYONE ELSE can enjoy fresh, hot food.
