may is a fabulous waitress who’s as hot and spicy as the grill. she’s attentive, quipy, and incredibly helpful with handling the flame. she even cooked our smores, but that’s probably not a regular thing. either way, she’s great. 10, 10, 10s across the board. would recommend !
Best experience when it comes to Thai style BBQ. This is what you would get in Thailand. Let’s celebrate with your loved ones. Great food. Great service from Ball too! He’s amazing!!
This exceptional food establishment exudes friendliness and cleanliness. The produce is fresh and well-maintained. We had the pleasure of dining with Lego, who demonstrated exceptional professionalism and provided top-notch service. I highly recommend this establishment to any group size or date. It offers a comfortable environment for a neighborhood dining experience.
I recently dined at this Boon De Moo Ka Ta Thai BBQ and I was thoroughly impressed. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, from the fresh meats and seafood to the array of vegetables. The flavors of the broths for the hotpot were rich and aromatic, and the BBQ grill added a delicious char to the meats. The menu offered a great variety of options to satisfy all tastes. From Marinated meats to non marinated meats. Short Ribs, Pork Belly, Beef, Chicken,Mussels, Squid ,Shrimp. Along with that was their selection of appetisers rock shrimp, crab rangoon, shrimp roll, chive pancake, French fries, potstickers, chicken wings, and shrimp popcorn. Also their dipping sauce section was amazing Thai style bbq, seafood sauce, house special sauce, etc. I was even amazed you could make your own Thai rice bowl and don’t forget to top it with a fried egg. And let’s never forget about dessert they have mango sticky rice, Thai shaved ice, if you aren’t too crazy about the sweet stick with the regular shaved ice. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal with friends or family. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable. I found the prices to be reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served, making it a great value for the overall experience. I would highly recommend this Thai BBQ place to anyone looking for a delicious and fun dining experience. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes! Only thing I can say is it is more on the costly side.
One of the best AYCE BBQ restaurants I’ve ever had (and they have hot pot too!). My husband and I agreed that the price per person is so worth it for all that’s included. There are many protein choices to choose from, and they even have an appetizer section where you can try classic Thai dishes. Don’t forget the unlimited mango sticky rice! They have other dessert options, as well, like shaved ice. Service was friendly and they are happy to explain how it all works if it’s your first time here. Can’t wait to go back!
My family and I really enjoyed the food and experience here. The service was excellent and the food was plentiful and fresh, and we ate as much as we could stuff down within the allotted 1.5 hours time. Another plus is that the restaurant is close to our house and it’s easily accessible by private care or by the NYC Q46 bus.
Saw this place on an IG story, interesting cooking set up that combine grilling and shabu-shabu in one. (Circular grill + Outer ring of boiling broth) We arrived around 4:30pm and already a line forming. Make sure to put down your name and number of ppl in you party by the door. Between the front door and the the interior door, there is a vacuum going on everytime both doors are open, you will feel blown away in the waiting area depending on where you are standing. The food looks fresh and have good options of marinated meats and few options of seafoods. There are also some veggies and noodles that are great for shabu-shabu, they also have some cooked appetizers toward the back. They have 2 sauce stations at each end of the buffet bar. During our 90 minutes there, our grill plate was changed out 2 times. At the time of this review, it is $39.90 per person above 7 year old, for the 3 of us with one drink come to a total of $160 with tips. Only street parking available and spaces can be scarce during rush hour.
Don’t let the nine-syllable name scare you off. This is a terrific Thai-bbq place super close to St. John’s university. Walked in here on a Sunday evening with my wife and fussy 4 year old. It worked out. The rice was great. And the meat/veggie buffet was excellent. All servers were friendly. Recommend the shaved ice at the end. Love the music here.
What a great find! AYCE buffet style hotpot and bbq all in one! They have a great selection of protein, vegetables, carbs, and dessert. The best part is no wait time, just dive right in! I enjoyed the little hot food bar that serves dumplings and chicken nuggets but the best part was being able to pick up as much food as you want and cook it without waiting for the staff to bring it out. Absolutely a great place for dinner especially with the cold season coming. Highly recommend!
BBQ ➕ HOTPOT 🟰 EVERYTHING 🔥 As a BBQ lover @ is my destination, delivered the Thai Style BBQ Flavor into the city 🏙️ I’m so OBSESSED with the vanity choose of meats, seafoods, vegetables, even desserts 🍨 Let’s talk about the meats - of course is the REAL STAR 💫 All marinated meats are flavorful, even don’t need the sauce at all. Absolute is a fun place. - 100% Fresh Ingredients - Huge Selection Of Food & Dessert - Effective Service & Welcoming Atmosphere - Affordable Price - Easy Parking 🅿️ OMG! I love the sauce part - mix your own dipping sauce. What about the dessert part ? The mango sticky rice is your must-try dessert. You need leave room for their cake and DIY shaved Ice 🍧 this is the most refreshing thing when you end of your BBQ 🍖
We love coming to eat at Boon Dee! Everyone is so friendly here that you feel like family. The food is excellent and fresh with so many options to choose from. When in season, the mango sticky rice is amazing! Try this place out and you will not be disappointed!!
The selections are plentiful. The sauces were even better — not just some generic Asian inspired sauces, but actual Thai style seafood sauces, spicy chili lime sauces. Cuts of the meat was generous. Staff was friendly. They even had a cute little stations with cups of mango sticky rice and self served shaved ice. I will definitely be back.
This is truly the BESTTTT RESTAURANT IN QUEENS! Kpot, THAI BBQ THEY HAVE EVERYTHING!!!! I’m not playing you will want to sleep here when you visit here and experience the most flavorful and tender meats and all types of dishes. You will leave here more than satisfied. My comfort place honestly.
We come here all the time and it’s always amazing. Me and my wife always eat at all you can eat like korean bbq etc. but this place is very special food is always flavorful and the choices are abundant. Our waiters Kevin and Lego did a great job. We really love this place and cant wait to come back
Rayna and the whole staff at this location is awesome. The concept of Thai BBQ was new to me and it was a phenomenal experience. The meats are fresh and meaty, not full of fat. The seasoning on the ribs was off the chain. Overall, I was really thrilled with the experience and hope to bring my family soon!
I had the best lunch here! The food is fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The service was amazing—Lego and Kevin were very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great Thai BBQ and a warm atmosphere!
Incredible establishment. Clean, fun atmosphere. Every single staff member was super friendly, special shout out to Jason! The food was phenomenal. All the meat was well seasoned and fresh. 10/10, would return
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food here was absolutely amazing! The buffet had such a great selection, and everything was fresh and flavorful. I especially loved the soup options each one was delicious. Highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys a variety of tasty dishes and a great dining experience!
We had an amazing first visit here this past Sunday. We were impressed by the selection of meats and seafood, and we really loved the dessert selection. They also had a small selection of cooked appetizers (chive pancakes, chicken wings, ground pork, etc.) which I really appreciated. It’s nice to snack on something as you grill. My favorite from this cooked food selection was the fried runny eggs. I really liked eating that with my bowl of rice and it’s not often you see this being offered. Another nice thing about this ACYE restaurant is that you can grill and have shabu shabu all for the same price. They have some veggies, noodles, rice cakes, mushrooms, and other items for cooking in the broth. This was a nice change and great accompaniment to all of the grilled meats. My only complaint was that I wished there were more vegetable options for both the grill and the hotpot. It felt like a very meat heavy meal. We made sure to make room for the desserts at the end of our 90-minute visit. The mango sticky rice and shaved ice desserts were heavenly after the meal and the hot grill. At first, I was confused about the shaved ice dessert but luckily, they posted directions on what to do. Such a fun and interactive portion of this visit and not something you see at other AYCE restaurants. Finally, I must mention how wonderful the staff were. They were very attentive and checked on us often. They changed our grill when it started to get charred, refilled our waters a few times, lowered the heat on our grill when they overheard us saying that the meats were getting overcooked and were overall great. The staff was so nice they even let us take a couple of mango sticky rice containers home. I definitely want to come back and bring other friends and family and introduce them to this restaurant.
Fantastic food and positive atmosphere. There is Such a wide variety of meats and hot pot options as well as cooked appetizer options. And many sauces!! Very reasonable pricing. The staff is attentive and kind. I have been here a few times and I can’t wait to return! It is always a pleasant experience from the moment we are seated to the moment we finish our meals.
I’ ve been coming back here for thai bbq. I love that they have lot of selections at the station. Food is fresh. And the DESSERTS section! 😍 Amy is the best she’s very attractive and super friendly. Definitely one of the go to spot !
Always a solid place to stop by whether you’re craving some hotpot or bbq, best time to stop by is between 3-6 when it’s not busy and everything is freshly stocked. We love all the marinades and the Thai sauces! Our servers this time were Kevin and Lego, they’re the best!!
It was my first time in one of this All you can eat Thai bbq places and its really good and affordable. Different types of proteins, sauces, veggies and broth and everything taste good. The area were needing a place like that.
Awesome AYCE restaurant that recently opened up. This is the first Thai BBQ that I have been to, and it didn’t disappoint. They have an appetizer station with an array of hot items like chive pancake, curry, chicken wings, basil ground pork, dumplings, ragoons, and shrimp. It’s nice to have these premade items while you’re cooking up the meats, and I enjoyed the texture and taste of these dishes which all tasted pretty authentic. Their raw meat station has many different types of each type of meat including beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. They have several different marinated meats as well. My favorite meat was the Short Rib, which was marinated very well, with a good amount of sweetening. We also enjoyed eating the thick Pork Belly, but they also have thin slices as well. At the table, there is a central grill with an outer ring with boiling broth so that you can grill the meat as well as prep hot pot items as well. We liked the change of pace, and as opposed to most other BBQ/Hot Pot restaurants, there is no up-charge to eat both. We liked boiling the fish balls, mushrooms, noodles and veggies in the hot pot. Finally, they have a large selection of desserts including Mango Sticky Rice which was simply delicious! They also had shaved ice and cheese cake. The service was really good. The servers were very personable and attentive to us. The restaurant is also very large and can accommodate for large parties. They kept the restaurant nice and clean. $40 per person, which is worth it for the variety that they provide! Will come again!
great food and amazing service! Lego was so attentive and informative. It was our first time here and he explained everything and even recommended us his faves. Overall, experience great and would def come again!!
Jason was taking care of our table, it was a pleasant service. He was professional, friendly, made us comfortable. It was our first visit to the restaurant. Food was great, similar style with other Korean BBQ/Hotpot place. All you can eat restaurant! I love the sauces variety. Alot of meat options! And the desserts were many and unique, especially the shaved ice and syrup. Sauces were already pre-mixed and labelled so it was yummy. Jason and the crew were fast, as soon as we were done with our plates, they removed them from the tables right away. Couldn't ask for a better host and experience!
I had such an amazing experience at Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta Thai B.B.Q! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly attentive and on top of everything. They constantly made sure our plates weren’t over-stacking and even switched out our hot grill occasionally to keep everything fresh and clean. We kept dropping our tongs (LOL), and without hesitation they were right there replacing them. The service alone made the whole experience feel so smooth and enjoyable. I also loved how easy it was to distinguish all the food—the spread was organized, clean, and perfect for an all-you-can-eat buffet. When we finished eating, they quickly cleaned our table and shortly after surprised us with a birthday sign for my Sister-in-law ! We had noted in our reservation that we were celebrating, and they really paid attention to that detail. They even told us not to leave without getting our dessert. Even though our 90 minutes were already up, they still encouraged us to enjoy it. And the sweetest part? Even after our grill had been turned off, they turned it back on just so we could make s’mores—and they were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was great, the service was outstanding, and parking was super easy to find. Honestly, I would definitely be coming here again—and for many more celebrations to come! Highly recommended! 🎉🍲🔥
Outstanding! The meats were fresh, always well stocked, and delicious. I love that Thai flavors were present instead of the usual K-bbq meat which is basically a one flavor marinade. The place was super clean for a buffet. The set up of the grill and the hot pot soup was perfect. The service was impeccable, we had our grill top changed 4 or 5 times! The only disappointment was that there was no mango sticky rice tonight (Saturday night) but otherwise I highly recommend this place. Would go back without question and the price point of $40 is not bad at all.
First time here and the experience was great. Amy our server was attentive and gave great recommendations. Will definitely come back. Great selection of meats and vegetables to grill at your table. My favorite was marinated short ribs! And they have dessert!
my sister and my go-to thai bbq spot!! always greeted so nicely by Kevin. service is always top tier, SUPER attentive and hospitable. minnie was great and she gave me hot water cause i was cramping 😭 great price & unlimited thai iced tea on weekdays before 7pm. 10/10 recommend
If you’re looking for a casual and fun all-you-can-eat experience, Boon Dee BBQ is definitely worth checking out. It’s a Thai BBQ/hotpot spot where you can grill your meat at the communal table and the options are plentiful even a picky eater will find something they like. If you’re into meat, this place is a solid. The chicken satay, cumin lamb, pork belly, marinated short ribs, and hot pot beef are all flavorful and cook up nicely on the grill. They also have watercress, so you can throw in some greens and feel a little better about all the meat you’re eating. For seafood lovers, there’s shrimp, mussels, fish filets, and if you’re vegetarian, they’ve got tofu, yuba, watercress, broccoli, Thai scallion pancakes (these are different from the Chinese and Korean ones, these are thicker and load of scallions) and a really good tom yum soup when its hot. I have to say, the fried fish was a surprise hit. One of the waitresses recommended it, and I’m so glad she did—it was perfectly fried and delicious. The highlight for me, though, was the shaved ice dessert. I’ve never seen this at a buffet before, and it’s such a nice touch. You scoop fluffy ice into a cup of grass jelly, and top it off with strawberry syrup and condensed milk. It’s refreshing and a great way to end the meal. Overall, it’s a cool spot to hang out, especially if you like grilling your own food and trying a mix of flavors. It’s not fancy, but it hits the spot. Come hungry!
The food was absolutely delicious, the service was outstanding, and our server , Sunny , was incredibly charming and attentive. She made sure our grills were always fresh without us having to ask. Such a great experience—highly recommend! 🌟
Been coming here for around 2 years now, best all you can eat bbq in queens. Always come during happy hour to get the unlimited Thai iced tea as well. Staff is always super nice, and food always fresh. On top of the self service option, all the food comes out quick, and staff makes sure you’re grill is always new. Definitely going to keep coming here.
Stepping into this self-service barbecue restaurant, one is immediately enveloped by a warm and cozy atmosphere. The smiles of the service staff are like the warm rays of the spring sun, and their meticulous service makes every customer feel the warmth of home. The plates of food served on the table seem to be a perfect blend of nature and the chef's ingenuity. The barbecue sizzles on the grill, giving off an alluring aroma. The moment it enters the mouth, the tender meat bursts with flavor on the taste buds, making people intoxicated and leaving an unforgettable aftertaste. This is not only a feast for the senses but also a balm for the soul.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta Thai BBQ restaurant and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was struck by the inviting aroma of barbecued meats and spices. The restaurant had a modern and sleek interior design, with ample seating and an open kitchen where you could watch the chefs at work. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, and they were happy to guide me through the menu and recommend dishes. I started off with the grilled pork belly, which were succulent and had a smoky flavor that was perfectly complemented by the tangy dipping sauce. For my main course, I opted for the Thai-style grilled beef, which was served with a side of sticky rice and a spicy chili dipping sauce. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the spices used in the marinade were perfectly balanced. But what really made this restaurant stand out for me was the DIY grilling experience. Each table had its own grill, and we were able to cook our own meats and vegetables to our liking. The server helped us with the grilling process and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I would highly recommend this Thai BBQ restaurant to anyone looking for a fun and interactive dining experience, coupled with delicious and authentic Thai flavors. The combination of great food, attentive service, and a unique dining experience made for an unforgettable meal.
I absolutely enjoyed having dinner at this restaurant. All of the staffs were attentive, polite and friendly. The meat selection was great, along with the hot dry bar food items. I highly recommend coming here for a great ayce experience!!
The food is phenomenal I love the way when you step inside it’s spacious they play good music such as passion fruit drake, riri, doja, house music lol. You get to play a fun game at the end involving a buzzer to win $50 off. As well they have shaved ice for dessert. If you’ve been to other k or pot you order on the iPad here you can grab food at your own will but it’s a slightly smaller selection.
today is second time to visited, we have great time. staff super friendly and helpful. especially Amy give us games. ========== We are first time and big group 14ppl yesterday. It's surprised food is good and meal fresh. A lot choice food for BBQ. We celebrate one of birthday and we have good time
I am from Toronto and this has been our go to spot in Queens. I wish we have something like this in Toronto. The soup and bbq grill combo PLUS the sauces! Will keep coming back! They have huge selection of food and dessert and their ready made apps were all so good! Been dreaming of their garlic rice! Service was quick and efficient. It is a timed seating but it is more than enough to get your fill. Very affordable price point considering the quality that you are getting!
This place is amazing. I love coming here with my family and friends. They have a great selection of meat. Their food stations are always being refilled so you know you’re getting fresh food. The servers are very attentive and are very helpful in answering any question you may have. I’ve been here several times before and brought my sister here for her birthday, she and our other 2 guest loved it as well. This will be our go to spot for Thai BBQ every time!
Let me tell you I’ve never been a fan of BBQ or hot pots but this I loved! We came here for my friends birthday and the way the staff celebrated her birthday was so much fun! We were cracking up! I can’t wait to come back. I’m so happy a Thai BBQ exists. It’s all you can eat AND good quality food? The desserts were so much fun and unique too! We were served by May she was awesome! Funny, kind and attentive.
From the moment you walk in, the service is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our grill was consistently swapped out so we were always cooking on a fresh, clean grate, which really made a difference. The options are INSANE—honestly, it’s wild what you get for about $40 a person. The hot appetizer bar didn’t stand a chance—we absolutely destroyed it. There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t try, and everything was delicious. The grill selection was just as impressive: so many cuts of meat and veggies, thin and thick cuts, and marinades in so many different styles. During our visit they even had a Ceriello Fine Foods collab, and I got to try their steaks marinated with Ceriello’s Salt Magic—unreal. One of the servers was absolutely hilarious and had us laughing the entire time, which made the experience even better. Desserts were amazing too—honestly, everything was. This place is such an asset to the Queens community. I can’t wait to become a regular.
Boon Dee Thai BBQ was the perfect birthday spot. If you like an interactive meal, this place is a standout in NYC because it does hot pot plus hot plate, but with Thai flavor. Most places with this vibe lean Korean, so the Thai marinades and sauces make it feel genuinely different. Everything we picked was high quality, from the meats and seafood to the veggies. It was fun being able to cook everything exactly how we wanted. The staff was excellent too. Friendly, attentive, and on top of the details all night, including swapping out grill plates and clearing as we went so the table never felt cluttered. Also, do not skip the signature fried rice with shrimp. It was flavorful, satisfying, and the perfect add-on to round out the meal. For my birthday they went the extra mile with a banner and the birthday song, which made the whole night feel like a celebration. I would absolutely come back, and I’d bring a group.
Boon Dee is a commonly used Thai term meaning good luck and prosperity. Boon Dee BBQ serves Moo Ka Ta which is a popular Thai communal dish with part hot pot and part grill. They feature a variety of fresh meats, vegetables, and noodles cooked in broth or on a sizzling skillet. Walk to the buffet and choose your protein. Cook it up, eat it up, and go for refills! Everything from appetizers to meats to veggies to desserts are all amazingly delicious. Their attentive staffs change out the grill frequently and top off the pot with broth. Boon Dee BBQ’s social dish is meant to be shared with everyone so bring your friends and family and come enjoy the traditional Thai hot pot and BBQ now!
Very nice experience large selection of protein and veggies. You cook your own bbq or soup. All you can eat very nice experience. Staff was warm friendly and inviting. Very attentive with tables. Amazing customer service. Great deal for the amount of food. Highly recommend this location conveniently located next to St. John university.
We had a birthday party at Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta Thai B.B.Q. The meats are so fresh and the sauces for BBQ are out of this world! There are plenty of choices for food and desserts The service is great and very attractive. They always pay attention to customers and care for friendly services Definitely come back again
This place is by far my favorite place for bbq due to the vast selections of meat. It caters to everyone’s preferences; there’s seafood, beef, pork, chicken, etc. I usually go straight to the beef short ribs since it’s easily the best tasting marinated meat but I also go for the Thai steak for a more lean cut every so often. Aside from the bbq grill, people can enjoy hotpot with the ring of broth surrounding the actual grill. I personally don’t like hotpot so I rarely use it but it’s good for the one who prefer to cook veggies or carbs like noodles. There’s a good selection of noodles to pick from. They also offer a hot bar for those who are hungry while they wait for the meat to cook. The usual hot food like fries, wings, fried fish are available but I prefer the crab Rangoon, chive rice cake, and basil pork (sometimes, it can be too salty). To pair, they also offer starch like rice and the lovely garlic rice. I highly recommend the garlic rice to people since it’s literal crack. I’m actually mad that I never tried it until recently. Garlic rice ruins all rice for me now. I can’t comment on the drinks since I don’t drink but it seems like there’s a fair selection. I’m sure most of their profits come from drinks but unfortunately, I prefer just water. I wanted to point out the level of service. Unlike some other bbq places, the staff are really punctual when it comes to replacing the grill. They’re also very friendly. You can tell they care about customer experience. It’s crazy how clean the raw meat bar is. They’re always watching and willing to help. Experiences may vary depending on how busy the place is but you can always ask staff to replace the grill or provide additional water at any time. You can also grab your own pitcher of water from the fridge if needed (not sure if you’re supposed to). To be honest, I didn’t really want to make a review. Lowkey, I didn’t want this place to be too popular, otherwise, I’ll have to start waiting in line. But I do want this place to succeed and stay around for a long time. I hope for this place to pop off and set a higher standard for all ayce bbq places.
It’s our second time here and so far the experience and the food has been amazing! Fried egg with the garlic rice as a starter while the food cooks is perfect. Everything is fresh and the grill is changed every often and always had a full broth. The shaved ice dessert is what did it for me. Tasty and a delightful treat for a hearty meal.
Hello dear readers, I have been to this amazing spot 3x’s now and I have to say it gets better every time I go. The food options, the staff (especially May) are just the sweetest. The experience of this restaurant leaves you wanting more and more as if that’s possible with all the variety of raw meats, appetizers, vegetables and sauces up the wazoo 🥰🤌🏽 truly thankful to have found this place. Please go and see for yourself, OHHH and they have water around the grill for you to make your own soup out of anything you want ! Your welcome ✌🏽 From a very satisfied customer !
Had an amazing time at Boon Dee BBQ The Thai style grill and hot pot combo was super fun and everything tasted really fresh The marinated meats were flavorful the broth was rich and the dipping sauces were delicious Staff were friendly and kept everything well stocked It’s a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a unique and tasty meal
If you’re a fan of AYCE BBQ and hotpot, Boon Dee BBQ is a must-visit! Owned by an inspiring Asian woman, this place is a paradise for food lovers. The variety is simply incredible, every type of meat you can think of, loads of fresh veggies, and an array of Asian flavors that make each bite exciting. The self-service setup means you can grab whatever catches your eye, and the staff are incredibly quick at refilling items, so you’re never left waiting. The desserts are a sweet ending to a satisfying meal, with plenty of options to choose from. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it a great spot for gatherings with friends or family. Every visit feels like a feast thanks to the quality and variety of food on offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in a hearty, flavorful meal where you can truly eat to your heart’s content!
I had an amazing experience at Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta Thai B.B.Q.! I made a reservation for 9:30 PM but ended up arriving around 9:45. Despite being late, they still welcomed me in without hesitation. The staff were so sweet, kind, and accommodating — I truly felt appreciated as a customer. The price is very reasonable, especially for a buffet in today’s economy. I’ve tried other BBQ spots before, but this one is hands down my favorite. The food was fresh, delicious, and full of authentic flavors. Shoutout to the gentleman who seated me — not only was he super kind, but also very handsome! On top of that, I was able to get extra shaved ice to take home and enjoyed their mango sticky rice — absolutely the best! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving great Thai BBQ and top-notch hospitality.
This place is so good! After living in Thailand, this place is honestly a lot better than most of the moo ka ta places I've been over there. The quality is amazing as well as the variety of different things to cook. Loved the satay pork and thai marinated pork especially. The sauces are fantastic as well, just like in Thailand! Staff are great, price is great, food is the best!
“I had a wonderful experience at this place. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and especially staff “sunny” was very professional .What impressed me most was how clean and well-organized everything was, from the dining area to the restrooms. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, outstanding service, and a clean, comfortable environment. I will definitely be coming back again.”
NYC’s best Thai AYCE BBQ and hotpot!! As a huge fan of Thai food, I think I just found my new favorite spot. This place is a dream for AYCE lovers — from premium meats and fresh seafood to hot cooked dishes. What makes it even better? You get 2-in-1 right at your table — grill AND hotpot at the same time. Sizzle your meats while your soup bubbles next to it Don’t skip the sauce bar — so many different flavors that take your grilled meats to the next level. Then comes the sweet finale… endless cakes, DIY shaved ice with jackfruit and jelly, plus a marshmallow sandwich torched right in front of you. Thai food lovers, this one is a must! We had a very good experience here. There were variety of choices, and the meat had nice quality. The Thai milk tea was very tasty and a must try!!! The staff were friendly. P’Pui seated us and always asked if we needed anything. She was very kind. The place has a nice atmosphere and feels comfortable. Overall, I really recommend it.
Came here on the last day of the year and it was a great experience. Boon had great food options, especially the beef selections and the appetizers. They were diligent in their service and the atmosphere is amazing. Thai ice tea was well made. The dessert, shaved ice was the go to food to try. Will come again. There is public parking outside which is convenient.
Had a group of 16 adults and 3 kids They were able to seat us all together and were very attentive and helpful w/ booster seat and high chairs. Always checked in on us for drinks, grill exchange and refills of hot pot broth. With such a large party, we even got a chance to play the 10 second challenge. Our friend was so close 🫡 but off by 1 millisecond. Great food and fun times, great for casual dining or special events.
Amazing service and the food was great! Love the hot pot and Thai BBQ with the delicious appetizers on the side. The staff is super friendly and lovely! One of the greatest people ever! I highly recommend you to come with friends and family. Place is huge and can accommodate many large groups!
Boon Dee BBQ is such a fun and delicious Thai BBQ and hot pot experience. The $40 all-you-can-eat option is definitely worth it, with endless meats, noodles, appetizers, and dessert. I love that you can grab your own food so there's no waiting and no pressure. The hot pot comes with a flavorful chicken broth where you can even make ramen while your BBQ cooks. Service was friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. Everything tasted fresh, and the appetizer station had great options like wings and crab rangoon. I highly recommend this spot for a casual night out with friends or anyone who loves to eat well!
Loved the Moo Ka Ta experience here. It’s like hot pot and BBQ in one, and Amazing value at $40 AYCE! Unlimited meats, seafood, and veggies — everything was so fresh. Perfect spot for group dinners. We all had fun grilling, dipping, and eating to our heart’s content. The broth becomes so flavorful as you cook, highly recommend!
Incredible experience at Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta! I’ve been wanting to visit for a while, and I’m so glad I finally made it. Both the service and the food were excellent. The meats are top quality, fresh, and flavorful, and I really love the variety of Thai-style BBQ sauces—they add such an authentic and delicious touch. The atmosphere is great as well, with a relaxed vibe and not too crowded, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.
My favorite bbq, pot place ever! Food here is delicious and it has a large variety of meat, veggies, rice and fish. The service and the atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. For 90 minutes you get to eat unlimited meats, chicken, sea food, veggies, salads, white rice, fried rice, ramen, and a variety of desserts . My favorite thing about this place is that I don’t need to choose between bbq or hot pot, you are able to do both. Don’t leave without trying their vanilla ice cream, which it’s absolutely creamy and delicious.
Have wanted to try this place for a long time and so glad we did. Its now top of our list for Asian BBQ and hot pot. Fantastic ingredients, comfortable tables with great ventilation, and the servers were just so sweet and helpful. Definitely a value for their all you can eat meals given the quality they provide.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Boon-Dee-Moo-Kata is a hidden gem! 🔥 The Thai BBQ experience was one of a kind—grilling right at the table made the meal interactive and so much fun. The meats were fresh, the marinades were packed with authentic Thai flavor, and the dipping sauces were chef’s kiss 😋👌. The service was amazing—friendly, fast, and super helpful, especially for first-timers. The vibe was lively, and the food just kept getting better with each bite. Boon Dee BBQ in Queens is a hidden gem for barbecue lovers. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to answer any questions and provide recommendations. The menu at Boon Dee BBQ offers a wide selection of mouthwatering barbecue dishes. Whether you prefer pork ribs, brisket, or chicken, you won't be disappointed. One of the highlights at Boon Dee BBQ is their homemade barbecue sauce. It's the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, elevating the already delicious meats to another level. You'll find yourself reaching for extra sauce with every bite. The prices at Boon Dee BBQ are reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable dining environment. In conclusion, if you're in Queens and craving some barbecue, Boon Dee BBQ is a must-visit. With outstanding food, friendly service, and reasonable prices, it's a spot that won't disappoint.
First time trying Thai BBQ, not sure what to expect. I was surprised to see that majority of the food at the BBQ were pork though. They do have some beef, chicken, and lamb to BBQ, but it is 85% pork. The appetizers are good. They do run out fast, but the servers regularly refill them, so no worries there. As for the grilling, you have to grill your own meat. If you do not know how, make sure you bring someone that does. The pot is set up so that, after you grill, you can keep the meat warm in the surrounding soup. Of course, this also removes any excess oil and fat, as well as, add additional flavors.
Good selection of cooked food, omg fried egg and Pad Kra Pao, had two bowls. Hot pot broth is tasty, good selection of hotpot & grill meats. Finally dessert was awesome, check out video. Beer, soju and wine selection is okay no sparkling wine, asked corkage, pretty steep $30 (who is the cost of a bottle of white/red)
I've been here about 6x already. Our kids love watching the meat cook on the grill. The selections are pretty decent, although I'd love to see some more options like Korean bbq meats. I know they're not KBBQ, but for the price point they really should. The hotpot section is very small, and can be quite annoying to cook in. This is also how I had it in Thailand, so it's not to say they're not authentic or not sticking true. The cooked food is where it's at, and where I feel you can start to make up the losses if you're not beating the buffet The garlic rice, minced pork, chive pancakes, fried eggs. These are easily $8-$10 additions if you go out to eat at a Thai restaurant. Not sure what that says about Thai food pricing in general though. Now dessert , you can make up another $10-$20. Ice cream, pie, cake, Mango sticky rice, shaved ice, fruits. Easily make up your money if you want to beast out there.
The barbecue is pretty good, with a great variety of food. However, I feel that the quality of the meat and seafood doesn't quite match the price. There are also very limited options for the hot pot. The service could be better since they are very busy. I had to ask for a grill change several times. But I do like that they offer dessert.
Food -food was pretty good and fairly priced. The meats weren’t the freshest in my opinion, but it was still good. My favorite was the marinated short rib. I also like that they had a big section of other selections and it was all labeled. Service -Service was perfect. The waitresses were very attentive to our needs and came by every five minutes to take plates that were not needed no more Atmosphere-I took a star off the atmosphere because the place is pretty tiny and It would be easier if it was a little bigger for the customers to get around. I found myself bumping into people Because of lack of space. Price - $40 each person for unlimited barbecue and hot pot I believe We had 90 minutes
This Thai restaurant is an amazing spot for AYCE BBQ AND hotpot. Located in Flushing, it is a bit far from the city, but if you're in the area, I highly recommend. Everything here is self-serve but the staff is super attentive with water and quick with drinks and changing grills. They have a good variety of meats, fresh veggies, and a hot bar here (with a diverse array of Thai hot foods, such as pad kra pao, tom yum, and fried foods). I loved their hot bar and everything was pretty good quality. I got multiple bowls of their tom yum as it was full of mushroom and shrimps, which I loved. Their wide selection of meats and seafood was great. While I did feel that some meat quality was so-so, everything was (overall) pretty solid. They also have a dessert section at the end where you can get shaved ice and smores (for your grill). Great meals and I had such a good time!
We’d been wanting to try Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta Thai BBQ for a while, and finally went for lunch the other day. There are a lot of food options — a salad/veggie section, a raw meat area, and a cooked food section. The staff were super nice and kept changing the grill pan really frequently, which we appreciated. The setup is mainly Thai BBQ, but there’s also broth around the grill so you can do hotpot at the same time. Most of the food was pretty good, but we did notice that some cuts of meat weren’t the best quality and got really tough once grilled. Not a huge deal, just something to keep in mind. When we were about to leave, the staff told us there was a dessert section we totally missed. We ended up trying the Thai shaved ice, and you can adjust the sweetness yourself, which was fun. Overall, it was a nice experience — lots of choices, friendly service, and worth trying if you’re into Thai-style BBQ.
Do not get discouraged by the line. If you are a party of 2 you get seated very quickly. The line is for the larger groups. This is all you can eat and you get 90 minutes. The service was kinda lacking. We were seated, but no one explained anything to us. We had to go get our own water, then ask for cups ourselves. I get this place is self served all you can eat. But everywhere else they would ask us if we need anything to drink to start. The food was pretty well organized and presented at the self-serve area. Everything is fresh and overall, if you have been to one cooking yourself BBQ place it's all pretty much the same. I love the sauce area, all kinds of mixtures. By the time we're almost done with the meal, finally someone comes and asks us if we need anything to drink. Awesome. The highlight was the shaved ice and deserts. They are very fresh and tasty.
Given the location of this restaurant, I understand why its reviews are probably higher than similar places that are located in more Asian places. It has very interesting setup, love that the grill can also be used for hotpot in its rim. But this idea comes with a cost, the stuffs are barely getting cooked in the water since it just heats up too slow. Additionally, the soup is really just water, and there's not much you can cook in hotpot other than basic vegetable and one choice of meat roll. From hotpot perspective, it is extremely subpar. The BBQ part is mediocre at best. The meat choices weren that great with alot of them come up rubbery when cooked. In the end, we just stuck with 1-2 type of meat. This is just an extremely average bbq/hotpot place that you see in Asian areas. The price is not that low though. For the novelty, you are paying close to a higher-end hotpot restaurant price. For bbq, you can get way better meat if you stick with a renown Japanese or Korean BBQ place. All in all, it has a bit of everything but it does not excel in anything. I was also extremely disgusted by the food coloring filled "specialty' fruit soda... It tasted so weird and the color was so unnaturally red.
First time trying a Thai BBQ and I was kind of disappointed. I expected more Thai food options. There was tum yum soup, and a few spicy Thai meats to cook. That said, the variety of meat options were a lot, lots of pork, chicken and beef and a few sea foods. The veggies corner was mediocre. The Thai ice tea was okay. There is a 90 minutes timeframe but you don’t feel rushed at all. The staff was attentive the whole time we were there.there isn’t a large table for big parties so they split us into 2 tables. I wouldn’t recommend because I felt it is a basic Thai bbq place.
Dear [Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta Thai Restaurant Manager], On the evening of September 20, 2025, my friends and I came to dine at your restaurant. We entered together but chose not to sit as one group. Instead, we asked to be seated separately at different tables because each of us wanted to pay our own bills individually. There were a total of nine people in our party, including children. However, each table had only two adults and one child, and we were not attending a special event or celebration. We came simply to enjoy a meal while visiting New York. When we received our bills, we noticed that a 20% service charge had been added to all of our checks. We were surprised, because: 1. We did not sit together as one large group. 2. Each family paid separately. 3. From our understanding, automatic service charges usually apply only to parties of six or more at a single table. In the past, when my friends have dined at your restaurant as a small family, no service charge was added. For this reason, we felt the charge was not appropriate in this situation. We kindly ask you to review this matter. We believe that since we were seated and billed separately, the automatic service charge should not have been applied. Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to your response. Sincerely, [Soe Sandar Kyaw]
The food here is great but not a lot of thai options. I am a frequent visitor, but I had a very bad experience today. Despite making a reservation for a party of 8 over a week in advance, we were separated into two different bench tables because they appeared to have overbooked the large tables. We were separated by a busy aisle, making it impossible to converse with half the group due to the high traffic of servers and customers. When we asked how to guarantee a large table next time, the staff didn't really have an answer; it seems like large tables are first-come, first-served regardless of reservations. This is definitely something to consider if you are booking for a group. Most likely will not return for a party as it ruined the night.
ve visited this BBQ place several times before and usually had a good experience. The food used to taste great and the atmosphere was nice. However, during my most recent visit, the seasoning felt much stronger than usual and it seemed like there was a lot of MSG in the food. I felt very thirsty and a bit uncomfortable after the meal. Personally, I’m concerned about consuming too much MSG because it may not be good for health. If the food continues to be seasoned this heavily, I probably won’t return. I hope the restaurant can adjust the seasoning in the future.
