Arigato Sushi

Best sushi I've eaten in California. You have to try their hamachi (yellowtail). It used to be my favorite when I was stationed in Japan almost 40 years ago. Arigato's has that buttery melt in your mouth flavor that I remember from Japan. Will be back for more!

I used to come here all the time when I lived in Upland, knew I needed to come back when I came to visit! Did not disappoint great sushi and wonderful service!

Sean and his staff are so awesome! I love this place ^^ Their new location is very nice as well! I come here for the good food, the good experience, and great prices :)

Sherman staff are the best I love this place excellent excellent excellent quality for a very reasonable price wonderful texture great rice even though I don't eat rice I am truly a shishi me person But it is enjoyable and I have met many wonderful people my family and I go there at least once a week just great ambiance questionable but the staff excellent

First time visiting the owner was there I got to meet him I had the Spicy Lobster Roll, my friend had the Sushi Roll it looked tasty too. They start you with Miso Soup and Cole Slaw . Evything was fresh and delicious I will come back with family and friends.

Picked up some vegetarian food for dinner and was trying it for the first time. Person who answered phone was easy to talk with and took the order right away. We picked up 15-20 minutes later and staff had it ready to go. Nice staff and enjoyable looking place to try eating in at next time. I didn't see a patio so we'll have to leave the dog at home to come here though. Food was good. We got Avocado cut rolls, veggie cut rolls, and tamago (egg) sushi. All were tasty. Rice was fine. My favorite sushi rice is from Hayato in Claremont but this one was better than most in the area. It's likely going to be my go to sushi place near our house now.

Friendly staff who are also Star Wars fans. We brought in our light up Lightsaber chopsticks for the occasion. Food was reasonably priced. Simple decor and very spacious restaurant. Of course the food was good. The sushi tasted fresh and decorative. The force was strong with this sushi.

Friendly staff. Prices are definitely worth it and filling. If you're not much of a sushi person there's a kitchen in the back with some cooked foods. Chicken teriyaki that sort of food. Not sure how it tastes but the sushi is great.

Great sushi and Japanese fare. I ordered sashimi and got 6 pieces of tasty halibut. Reasonable prices. Fried food and soba noodles available. Good parking, free. Worth seeking out and if you dont know what to order, let the chef decide by going "omakase." He will not disappoint.

Order was to go in my experience Sushi is usually a lot better when you eat it there only wish you gave me more soy sauce then two packets per sushi roll

At its new location, the environment is a bit stark. The booths are okay to sit at, but the lighting is very harsh. Service is very pleasant, and on a Saturday night - remarkably fast. But this is no substitute for Kishi. Some of the fish tasted off - hints of vinegar. Prices are quite low and the fried soft shell crab is well presented. But the rolls have to be eaten with lots of wasabi.

The waitress and chef were both very nice, but the food was just ok. I hope that it was just an off night for them.

I say actually due to the fact that when entering the restaurant and waiting for your food, it looks as though the place is going through a renovation or as if they're about to go out of business. That was my initial assumption (we had never been here before), however, I've read reviews from quite some time ago that demonstrate that to be not true. They apparently always have the inside this way. Then, when we got home and checked our food we found out our edamame was not in the bag, but there were 3 small cups of miso soup. I didn't know what it was though and due to allergies we called the restaurant. The staff remembered us (expected as there weren't many customers) and apologized and explained what happened. They also told us to mention it next time we come in and they'll give us an edamame. Appreciate the courtesy and immediately acknowledging the issues. Very professional. I think because of this service after experiencing an issue and how they resolved it, despite the look of the restaurant inside, I'll give this place another chance to redeem themselves in the future. I'm hoping they clean up the inside and make it more like a sushi restaurant. Currently it's mostly just the bar and then a bunch of tables and chairs stacked in corners (that are apparently always like that). Foods good, restaurant not so much. There's a lot of potential here.

Horrible horrible horrible customer service . Salmon roll over cooked and dry. Sushi taste alone is terrible. Plus they leave the roll 3/4s empty. There are plenty sushi places to eat and this is not one

Came in on a Friday at 5:30 pm to place a to go order and they told me they aren't taking to go orders right now. They aren't even busy and could have taken my order but Chose not to. Not cool, taking my business elsewhere.
