Last Saturday evening, after a long work week, my husband and I were looking for a cozy restaurant to have a perfectly cooked meal, WE FOUND IT!! We ended up at Truffle after we received this recommendation from 3 others. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or to go with your family to celebrate a birthday or achievement. The appetizers were perfect proportions and our main course's were just what we wanted, cooked to ULTIMATE perfection paired with a perfect glass of wine, of course. The wait staff's suggestions and service made our night. Not to mention the desserts are to die for. Do yourself a favor and try the grilled rib eye, it's like butter!

Fantastic time at Truffle. Started out at happy hour which was excellent. Kelly the bartender was great. The choices of food were wonderful. No fried stuff that you typically see at happy hour. We had the mussells and the spinach pie. Delicious! We met our friends for dinner. We had the salmon, ribeye, and shortribs. Dessert we had creme brulee, oreo icecream, and chocolate mousse, and cappuccinos. We all loved our food. Theresa, our waitress was phenomenal. A great experience had by all. We will be back for sure!!

Truffle always puts a little extra into everything they make. It is a small restaurant. I do not like noisy places so small is great. Truffle is quite different from everything nearby by far. It sort of reminds me of the late 80's a bit because of that. It has it's own style, a family run feel and it's own unique selections. Worth the visit.

Truffle Restaurant is excellent. Chef Raed puts out fresh food filled with mouthwatering flavor which keeps my wife and I retuning time after time . Between the French country style chicken , the many fish selections and the crusted lamb chops .... delicious. Oh , and if you like Octopus, Truffle’s appetizer grilled is The best we ever had . I recommend Truffle whole heartedly.

I went here for lunch with my family and had an amazing time. Chef Raed gave us the most amazing service and the food was fresh and extremely delicious. They had a very affordable lunch special at $10.99 for a salad and an entree. I definitely want to come back again and again!!

My family and I came in for Mother's Day dinner. Kelly was our waitress. She did an incredible job despite how many people she was taking care of. (I use to wait tables in college, it's tough work!) The food was excellent. My lamb chops were cooked to perfection and my wife absolutely loved the Sole stuffed with crab meat. We had an excellent time until the table near us started to complain and started to act like children. They had one inconsolable mother. I believe one of the gentlemen from the table who wrote a review is Scott Matus. I have to say something about the way you and the lady harassed that young man. As they were leaving, the lady who was causing all the trouble went behind the bar and started cursing at the young man, she actually went behind the bar! My wife grabbed my hand because I was about to go and help him. The young man just smiled at her (as he was making drinks) and asked her to politely please step out from behind the bar and to have a happy Mother's Day. I had gotten up from my table to stand by the bar to make sure nothing happened. I saw who I presume to be Scott, almost jump over the bar and threaten the server, who mind you, was still making drinks at the time. Scott ended up leaving and yelling some more curse words at the server. The young man handled the situation better than I would have. To my surprise he remained calm yet frazzled. Scott Matus a personal message to You. In all my life I have never witnessed a more shameful and disgusting human being, you couldn't pay me enough to ever sit near you and your family again. Moving on, the food was spectacular, the service was friendly and timely for the amount of people they had. This place will become the weekly date night restaurant my wife and I go to! Can't wait to try the Duck.

I had the orange chicken skewers and my friend had the mussels as our appetizers...... I started to get worried, that we weren't going enjoy the entrees as much as we did the appetizers our entres were the braised ribs and it completed the evening. JOE made our drinks and was perfect company and AMAZING DRINKS.

Food was excellent. Burrata Salad creamy and tasty. Grilled Octopus was tender and flavorful. Roasted chicken had a delicious creamy sauce. The Duck entree was excellent but a small portion.

Please open back up!! My gf and I had the best mussels there. We were only dating two weeks at the time. Over two years later and we're hoping for an opportunity to return.

Mouth watering menu and the food did not disappoint. The wild mushroom bisque was delightful, rich and velvety, full of flavor. Baby Spinach Salad had a perfectly blended shallot vinaigrette that tickled the palate. My entrée was the Seafood Arrabbiata, with the right amount of pasta, mixed with an abundance of shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari and scallops. The sauce was perfect. My wife totally enjoyed the Pan Seared Scallops sautéed with a rainbow of vegetables. The next table had ordered the Cast Iron Seared LI Duck, and that looked unbelievably good. Very clean, wonderful ambience and Chef Raed outdid himself. We wholeheartedly recommend Truffle and we will be back!

The server was amazing tonight you made the dining experience worth every penny. Food was amazing and atmosphere was what I needed. Also very welcoming towards kids.

We then had braised ribs as our entree’s and they were so tender and moist it melted in our mouths. The bartender and host Joe was very nice, entertaining and a great mixologists. We definitely will be returning.

I did my homework online for a reunion with one of my closest friends and associates. I live in New Jersey and the reviews were so positive about Truffle that I thought I would travel to Valley Stream because I didn't want my friend (who lives in Freeport) to travel into Manhattan. With that said, I arrived and parked in the snug parking lot guided by a young, affable man dressed in chef's attire. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and it was marvelous. We were pampered and waited on as if we had our own personal chef. It turns out that the parking valet is also Chef Reed!! Who knew??!! The lunch menu was quickly exchanged for a dinner menu because I was very hungry. The selection was outstanding. The preparation was perfect and the presentation was impeccable. I love this restaurant!! It is a hidden gem in the midst of Valley Stream. I highly recommend this treasure for anyone who wants the best in food, service and atmosphere. We will be coming back to Truffle.

The Truffle Restaurant and Bar is a nice spot for a good meal. The Truffle Restaurant has a nice choice of different choices, ranging from steak, pasta, fish, and duck. It's menu has a good choice of different prices and shouldn't break the bank. It's food was pretty good, so I would recommend a visit to try it out.

You would never think much of Truffle by looking on the outside but the atmosphere inside is homey with a touch of elegance. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. Hope to meet the chef next time!

Food was delicious, service was great. Short ribs were 👌🏽filet mignon was good, salmon was very good. Tiramisu isn't really tiramisu though, was more like a chocolate creme cake (pretty delicious but definitely not a tiramisu)

Chef Raed is a master at what he does. Last night, the food was a little off. I had the rib eye and it was ever so slightly over cooked and definitely under seasoned. I've had it before and it was excellent. Perhaps I should have mentioned how I wanted it seasoned The service was great. I believe our server's was Joe and he remembered us from a year ago and delivered top notch service. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Truffle because the food is good and has been noted on other reviews the portions are generous for the price.

I was looking forward to eating here as the reviews are amazing but my experience was damaged by the 2 and a half hour wait to eat even though I had a reservation. The host was very in experienced in handling a crowd at that magnitude causing an angry mob of guest. No management on site for crowd control, but the servers did their best to apologize as the hostess was too frustrated to address the obvious issues. The food was really really good, and I understand making a profit is essential, but I was really disappointed in the lack of professionalism, service and structure.

We probably should have known there was something wrong when we showed up to our 5:30pm mother's day reservation and they insisted we were booked for a 4:30 table. About an hour after ordering and waiting for our entrees (as everyone else seemed to be doing too), it was clear that the kitchen and front of house were each struggling to handle having their tables full. That happens sometimes, and if you are attentive and apologetic to your customers it's really not a big deal. Unfortunately all they did was ignore us. Now my mom can be a handful, and she got up and started complaining to the hostess, who was the only employee present that wasn't running all over the place. If they had apologized and offered her a drink on the house, she would have been happy. Instead, a male waiter comes out of nowhere and yells at her to "sit down or leave the restaurant" - on mother's day. Eventually the manager/owner/chef (it's very unclear) comes out from the kitchen to hear the story. (Our waitress has been mia since taking our orders.) She apologizes, and says she'll handle it. Well about 20 minutes later she comes back and apologizes again. Apparently the male waiter doesn't apologize for himself. Beyond offering a simple apology, they didn't seem to know what to do. Eventually we're offered "some dessert" on the house, and are forced to explain that our mother's day dinner has been ruined and we don't feel like staying for dessert. After leaving and coming back again, the manager/chef finally offers to comp a portion of our meal. This is the one thing they did correctly all night. As we're leaving the male waiter is now behind the bar. He threatens to call the police if we don't leave faster, and then proceeds to fake dial and pick up the phone, only to hang it up once he sees his trick has failed to fool its intended victims. As for the food: the duck was undercooked, lamb was overcooked (and priced), the salmon filet was tiny, and our 2 requests for different sides were ignored. Drinks were fine. The only redeeming aspect of the night was the chef/manager, who remained sincere and present despite how obviously overcommitted she was. I do wish her the best and hope she can fix things.

We were patient and understanding that on a busy night they had to deal with a troublesome party and wrote off the wait for initial waitress visit and drink wait. But issues extended beyond. While not one but 2 people were dealing​ with the problematic table (one of them being our server) one of our 3 meals came. Despite the fact that we were 2 feet from the server multiple attempts to get anyone's attention were fruitless for at least 10 minutes. Finally we get the other 2 meals and they are undercooked and now no one is around to bring the dishes back to the kitchen. Finally get them returned to the kitchen and then back to the table and they come back still undercooked. Returning them again is too much work. When they cleared the dinner dishes we asked for one to be wrapped. The young lady was going to return to collect it, she didn't and we had to chase her down. The waitress then went to table next to us (who came after us) to ask if they wanted dessert before asking if we wanted dessert. The waitress offered to buy us dessert, but honestly, there was nothing interesting enough that we wanted and just asked for the check.
