Love MadeWest. Standard is my go to, and pale is hubbys. Both locations are nice and the staff are always so friendly! Our top brewery in Ventura!

Beautiful place to have a Brewery! Right on ther pier. If you dont live nearby the Amtrack drops you off right next to the Brewery!

This has to be one of the best places to relax in Ventura. Simply lovely, and an amazing beer selection. Hard to find a better place to just let time melt away for a while.

The views from madewest are beautiful! But even without the view this place is worth visiting for the good beer and friendly staff. Free parking with validation!

They have really good beer. Great views of the ocean, this is the place to go for a sunset. They don't have food but you can order from Beach House Fish Company and bring the food in. Great covid-19 setup. It's definitely worth the trip. Indoor and outdoor seating.

My husband and I are locals. We love coming down to the Pier on the weekends to enjoy the delicious beer and take in the amazing view. You can't get better than that. My favorite is Prospect. I am a dark beer girl. A bonus is the fact that you can bring food from Beach house tacos downstairs, up to the brewery and enjoy a meal as well.

Best view in Ventura. Nothing beats watching the sunset over Surfers Point with a Hazy IPA in my hand. Love this place! If you haven’t been be warned...this will be your new favorite spot!

Very impressed. Good food and good beer. The halibut was so fresh perfectly battered and fried. I didn’t need anything on it. I did try the house tartar sauce and it’s sooooo good. I’m coming back here next time I’m in Ventura.

Great local beers with beautiful views. During COVID-19, they have expanded seating onto the pier. Order seafood or tacos from nearby restaurants. Bring a sweater or a flannel because the Ventura's signature onshore breeze can make it chilly.

Best views of the pier are on the pier itself! You enter the restaurant downstairs then turn left until you get to a gated stairway that goes to the MadeWest taproom upstairs.

Nice and friendly staff. Great local beer and great views of the beach and pier. It's very windy some days so bring a jacket.

In town for x-games? Go here 10 of 10 ! Wow amazing fresh mouth water great service beautiful view. We were in at doors open 11am between three of us shared 2 orders of the jalapeño fish taco and a side of device. All you had to do was squeeze on the lemon citrus and enjoy. I usually dress up things with a little bit of spice / hot sauce but no additions necessary ( not even salt on the freshly baked chips) I mean how often does that happen. My compliments to the establishment because it's made my very limited list of must visit again ( I hope it stays true to my first visit.)

Beware, parking at the pier is all about timing. It gets very busy and you'll need to wait to get in the public lot. Parking on a side street and walking to the pier is always an option. Otherwise, parking is $3/hour or $9 all day at the State Park beach lot. Wonderful views upstairs in the tasting room with heaters for outdoor seating. Order food downstairs and eat upstairs. Perfect place for beer tasting!

Since we were visiting Ventura & our hotel was just a few minute walk, needed to make sure we hit up Madewest! Perfect vibes to enjoy a cold one at the beach. Been a MW fan since being introduced to it at Trader Joe's! Beertenders were friendly and beers on point. I was hoping some other MW collabs were offered on tap but at the time of visit, just the standard go-tos were available. You can't go wrong with that though. No complaints :) You can order food downstairs and bring it upstairs (they give you a pager). We enjoyed the fried seafoods & fries while wife & I enjoyed our brews. Will be back if we're in the area! Cheers!

I've been traveling to Ventura for work lately and have quickly become a big fan of MadeWest, particularly this location on the pier. It's a fantastic spot that overlooks the ocean, and you can't beat sipping on one of their IPA's while the sun goes down. There's also a great seafood restaurant downstairs where you can order food to go and bring it back up to eat. Highly recommend stopping by, and I'll be back for sure.

The ahi tuna tacos were so unreal I immediately needed to write a review! Crunchy, teriyaki sauce, chopped apples and the freshest tuna - it will haunt my dreams forever. Shout out to the peach cocktail which was also a delight. Pics of cocktail only because I ate the tacos too fast. 10/10, run don’t walk and come enjoy the gorgeous view in Ventura!

Then walk back to the restaurant for some delicious drinks and awesome tacos. Good drink, good food, with a breathtaking view. So it's a night out that's reasonably priced (about $50 for 2).

This taproom for MadeWest is located in the same structure that houses Eric Ericson's Fish Co so you have to make your way in then find the stairs that lead up to the second floor. Beautiful spot with a great view of the beach from above and great view of the pier as it gets repaired. Got a seltzer for my mother, a Hazy IPA for my brother and a fantastic vanilla coffee porter and 10% ABV Triple Hazy for myself. I know that MadeWest recently got some great golds and silvers at the Great American Beer Festival so highly recommended. Haven't been to their main location more inland but I honestly recommend this one more due to the atmosphere and friendly service and vibes! The green in one of my photos is from my splint on my broken index finger so don't mind it. Make your way here!

My wife and I were looking for exactly this type of place and had trouble finding something like this when we were staying down in Hermosa Beach. This place though is the whole package. Great views, great beer, and great food from the restaurant downstairs. The first time we came, the outdoor seating was all full so we grabbed an inside table. Slightly disappointed to not be outside, we looked around and given the elevated location and wrap around windows, we still had an unbelievable view of sunset! Second time we were outside and enjoyed a great lunch overlooking the pier and ocean right before our flight back to the snowy northeast. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll definitely be back. Maybe I’ll even come back just for this place.

Food served right at the bar! Had a hazy IPA and the Mrs. had a hard seltzer and served with a dozen oysters, an order of calamari, and 2 clam chowders (with and without bread bowl). Definitely coming back again. Also picked up a MW hoodie for $40. 👍🏽

Went to MadeWest on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed. The location is great with some wonderful sunset views. The menu is small but perfect! I got the Prospect which was a Coffee Vanilla Porter and the Standard which was a blonde ale. Both were 10/10! $15.5 for both (without tip). Servers were great too! The crowd was a pretty good mix of young group of friends and families.

Good IPA’s and great location. Not dog friendly, though. This was a surprise. However, you can order a beer and sit outside. The view is great.

Great setting on the pier, on the second floor with lovely views. Good beer selection and friendly staff. Parking in the nearby garage is validated.

Brewery sits on a pier and looks out at the ocean. There is a beach playground just below if you have kids that you can let them run around at. Food is served on level 1 and beer on level 2. Beer that we sampled was okay. It was nice to drink out on their patio with a view of the Pacific Ocean.
