Abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per una cena di coppia dopo aver scoperto la particolarità della cottura a legna. Ci siamo accomodati al bancone e abbiamo potuto assaporare sapori autentici e piatti davvero ben assemblati, una cucina semplice arricchita da materie prime eccellenti. Bello anche assistere alla preparazione dei piatti e aver fatto due chiacchiere con il proprietario nonché chef del locale. Davvero un’ottima esperienza, ci torneremo senz’altro!

Lo dico subito. L’unica pecca è la rumorosità. Ma credetemi, vale la pena sopportare il rumore di fondo perché il cibo è ottimo e ben presentato. L’accoglienza è deliziosa. L’ambiente è molto carino. Si mangia benissimo si beve benissimo. Non ho mai mangiato un maialino al forno così buono e croccante. Anche gli antipasti sono molto buoni e originali. Costa un pochino, è vero, ma a Milano non si riesce a spendere di meno volendo mangiare così bene. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è comunque ottimo perché si esce soddisfatti. Consigliato. Ci torneremo.

Ombrea was our first night in Milan and it was a nice welcome to the city. Nicely designed, with a bar patrons may sit and enjoy their meal. Wine selection was good and my wife enjoyed her first glasses of Francacorda. Our meal was special with the bone marrrow, grilled octopus (was like butter and so flavorful) and marinated meat under ash all standing out. A potato and buckwheat gnocchi was interesting but not a favorite. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Ombrea has a nice vibe and well worth heading to

We sat at the chefs counter and enjoyed watching not just our plates but everyone’s food being prepared as we got to talk with the chef. Ambient spot on! Food is top-notch quality, service is of high standards! What should I add more, everything, we were 2 couples, we had everything that was on the menu, grilled bone marrow to die for, fish tapas, friggitelli 😋, truly stunned by the quality and the cooking skills. We were well served by two amazing waitresses, Luigi's the chef at the BBQ, I gotta say he knows what he is doing! I would recommend this place and definitely I'd pay a few other visits here!

This place was an incredible find. Everything is cooked with fire using different techniques (charcoal, cast iron griddle, wood oven). The menu is very interesting with several small plates and snacks. Definitely unique and worth a visit

Ristorante non grandissimo ma molto carino. Caratteristica principale è sicuramente la grande brace che si trova appena si entra nel locale e dove si cucina quasi tutto. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. Il menù presenta diverse specialità e sfizietti niente male. Consiglio il carciofo e il salame di cioccolato come must.

Piacevole scoperta a Milano, cucina alternativa interamente realizzata nel forno a legna. Bella l'idea di proporre nel menu della tapas sia a tutto pasto che come starter. Altresi' interessante la possibilita' di scegliere l'opzione "mezza porzione" che permette di assaggiare piu' pietanze. Interessante anche l proposta dei dolci. The food is really good, and the starters offer a nice variety — definitely the highlight of the menu. However, the selection of meats is quite limited, which is surprising for a restaurant that focuses on wood-fired cooking. Prices are a bit on the high side, and the service can be slow at times. The biggest downside is the air inside — it feels stuffy and filled with barbecue smoke, which makes the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable. Overall, great flavors but the dining experience could be improved.

That moment when expectations are higher than reality. The food is good, even while the creativity often doesn’t contribute to taste - I.e. the ash-cooked egg really doesn’t bring anything additional to your paladar. Ribs are good but lacking a better companion side dish than a marinated red cabbage. However, the main issue isn’t food, it’s service. The wine was brought very warm, we had to ask for a cooler. We ordered asparagus with the ash egg and truffle oil but they forgot the truffle oil and had to bring it separately. We were finishing dinner around 22:15 and were the only ones left, so the personnel started cleaning and collecting the rubbish. To say that we felt weird and unwelcomed is to say nothing. No one, including the chef who was actually working there in an opened kitchen, ever asked us if we liked food. A very striking difference to the level of hospitality you normally have in Italy.

Good looking place in a very nice neighborhood with a good menu. Things are either cooked on the BBQ or the fire that is really cool. Staff is nice. We were a group of 8 arriving early for dinner. We were all underwhelmed by the execution of the dishes particularly since it is quite expensive. The under ash egg was still quite raw and the dish was too mushy, could have done with more consistency. The carpaccio with the dry vegetables possibly decorate to much from traditional carpaccio. The pork neck was ok, with a lemony hollandaise sauce. The prawns were so raw we had to send them back for cooking. Fish was ok. The chocolate cake was supposed to come with a blood orange sauce and we all agreed it tasted like cherry.

Rapporto qualità/quantità e prezzi inesistente. Menù che vuole spaziare su troppi tipi di pietanze carne pesce altro ma che non soddisfa o che lo fa in modo molto limitato peccato perché l’ambiente è carino e particolare. Io non ci ritornerò sicuramente.
