Sono rimasto particolarmente stupito dalla gentilezza dimostrata nei riguardi del cliente. Ottimi i cornetti e molto buono il cappuccino. Prezzi leggermente alti ma in linea con la zona.

This espresso bar is mostly locals on the way to work. Top quality, quick and easy. Just saunter up to the bar, order your espresso based beverage of choice, see it crafted by Italian baristas, and drink it down. Pay for the drink at the registers as you depart. Buenissimo!

Great restaurant for breakfast!!! They serve tasty food for a reasonable price. I came for a breakfast 3 times - between 8-9 am. Restaurant was not so crowded; table was always available. Maybe one of last restaurants where local people went to in the downtown. Food: I had Pannini; Toast and Tramezzini for breakfast. Very delicious! As a dessert I had croissant. Delicious as well. Coffee is typical Italian; meaning superior taste! They do not have vegan food. They do not serve gluten free bread or cakes. Staff members are friendly and easy to communicate in English.

We found this restaurant by accident and it was a great found. The food was great. The service was excellent. The overall experience was super great. We got pork chop, pasta carbonara, ravioli, and salads. We ordered the second plates of pork chop and carbonara. The pork chop was crispy outside and soft inside. The carbonara was different from somewhere else. It was not too creamy like most restaurants. The bacon was crispy and added great flavor to the dish. The sever was enthusiastic to welcome customers.

If I lived anywhere near here I would be in every morning. Great local cafe, feels like a community of people come in here. Fresh pastry and coffee. Price is excellent, 2 cappuccino 2 croissants cost less than 5GBP!

First off, I have no clue why people praise the business and are very stingy with the stars. I’m a tourist, not a local, however; been to various bar/cafeterias in and around Rome….this particular establishment deserves its 5 stars. The coffee was great!! They offer gelato, and the pastries are very good!! I was picking out this and that and walked away with 30€ worth of pastries, and the lady attending me was very patient and sweet. It was heavily trafficked and bustling during that time and she still was very patient with a smile on her face. The older gentleman at the cashier was stoically Roman…not rude. I had a pleasant time with good service, very good coffee/pastries and above all the people were nice. This is definitely a locals place! It’s close to St. Peter’s basilica square. A few tables inside and plentiful seating outside for sure. Will be back again for sure. Highly recommended!!

I’ve need here several times and I’m always pleasantly surprised. The prices are very reasonable and the pastries are fantastic. The staff is friendly and will wrap you order in a pretty package if you ask for it to go. It is not a tourist place but very close to the Vatican. Worth a visit if you happen to be close by.

i came to the gelato section of the store whenever possible in my trip to rome. the staff are so nice and fun and they told us about the ins and outs of the city. they were really great and communicated really well in english. they let us try different gelatos and suggested different flavours and combinations. it was very affordable and extremely delicious. there were so many different flavour options and the store was so cute. il pappagallo is on my list to return to if i ever come back to rome. below are the pictures of different gelatos i had from the store. i was only there for five days and i had gelato from this place four out of those five days. trust me and try it.

Sono passato al Pappagallo per una colazione veloce e mi sono trovato bene. Il locale è vivace e sempre pieno, segno che è apprezzato. Il cornetto era caldo e davvero buono, il cappuccino nella norma. Il personale è gentile, anche se un po’ sbrigativo. Prezzi giusti per la zona. In generale, un buon posto per iniziare la giornata senza troppe pretese.

Siamo capitati x caso una domenica d agosto. Abbiamo fatto un aperitivo x due e abbiamo speso 12€....da non credere! Prodotti freschissimi e non le solite patatine vecchie dei bar! Personale gentile. Da tornare sicuramente!!!!! Stra consigliato!

A cup of cupaccino was so cheap at this cafe, it was only €1.20, we ordered some Maritozzo, Cannoli and a fruit tart, altogether with the drink it added up to €3.80 Lovely cafe with plenty of seating.

It had good pastries and a good cappuccino. The prices were very reasonable. We were asked to pay first (at the tobacco counter) then order. To remedy my lack of Italian, i took pictures of my family's selections, showed those pictures to the cashier, then went back to the food counter to order. The hours and prices and food were all his for us. It was crowded (probably a good sign) a and the back and forth between counters seemed to add confusion (but likely we're "missing something").

(Pappagallo Gregorio VII) L'uomo calvo alla cassa è molto scortese e sembra fare un favore ai clienti, mentre in realtà è vero il contrario: il ristorante sta cadendo a pezzi. Prima i tavoli all'esterno erano belli e in legno massiccio, il cameriere veniva a servirti, l'atmosfera era pulita. Ora i “tavoli” sono in realtà un ridicolo pezzo di compensato con disgustose tovaglie blu sbiadite. Ci portavo i miei amici turisti per una colazione elegante o un tè pomeridiano con vista sul cupolone, ora non ci porto più nessuno perché mi vergogno. Gli unici punti positivi sono: il personale al bancone, i cornetti, i pastìccini e le torte che sono gustosi.

Personale Aberrante, tavoli sporchi, tovaglie peggio, camerieri incapaci a lavorare. La mia esperienza: entro, mi siedo ad un tavolo e spendo 17€ per 3 pasticcini e un tramezzino, successivamente esco fuori per fumare una sigaretta e quindi cambio tavolo e scelgo un tavolo esterno. Appena mi siedo lo stesso cameriere viene a riprendermi l ordine mentre sono al telefono per 3 volte perché secondo loro se cambi tavolo devi riordinare altrimenti ti cacciano. Ridicoli .
