Amazing restaurant! Really good, different and tasty food, the price is a little bit expensive but just as any Michelin restaurant! I loved that the Chef comes to each table to take the order and give suggestions! All the staff is very polite and nice! Definitely recommend it!

A little off the beaten track and slightly hidden in a maze of narrow streets, the restaurant opens into a quiet salon with a small terrace, topped by vines, attached. The thoughtful menu lists dishes promoting subtle combinations of flavour and colour with the scallops and violet potatoes being both a great flavour duo and... well... violet. The wine list was Italian based and quite comprehensive with moderate prices. Our waitress was both helpful and knowledgeable (with excellent English) and the chef himself also circulated, helping with serving duties and explanations. Highly recommended and well worth the detour.

Have been here several times. And visiting eating out more then 100 times a year while travelling. This is by far the best place I have been eating. Food is always well prepared. Very tasteful and the owner and his staff are so friendly and makes you feel very welcomed.

Heaven on Earth for foodies!! We have been coming to Il Cantuccio for many years now, it’s the highlight of our holidays in Lake Como. Mauro is an outstanding chef, always welcoming people into his restaurant (like being welcomed to his home!) with food definitely worthy of his Michelin Star. He has thought of every little detail from the presentation of the food, the taste and texture and the wines to accompany it. Definitely worth the trip to Albavilla!! Thanks Mauro for another wonderful experience!!

The food was exquisite, altough the restaurant opens at 19.30 for dinner, the chef greeted us before. The service was first class, plates brought maybe a bit faster than we would expect, we requested local wine pairing at their choice and wine was very good and surprisingly cheap, desert was also out of this workd, no wonder chef Mauro won best restaurant in Milan area last year. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic dinner.

Tricky business practices. At end of meal, I was presented a check In euros. They shifted the amount to usd without asking. Ridiculous exchange rate. Criminal? I won't be back.
