I was driving along the Genoa Ventimiglia highway on my way back from a business meeting and asked artificial intelligence for help finding a restaurant within about 100km where I could have lunch, enjoying delicious seafood and offering good value. It suggested two locations, and when I asked for just one, it sent me here to avoid parking hassles. So, after exiting the A10 at Celle Ligure, I quickly arrived behind the port, where I found a huge parking lot that was completely available! I took a stroll along the harbor and immediately found the restaurant. It's a nice location, and I already liked the sign outside that clearly states that the fish served is the best the sea has to offer that day. I walked in and Ilenia greeted me with a welcoming attitude that I liked: she was cheerful and courteous. So I followed his advice and started with anchovy and mackerel fritti as an appetizer (delicious and crispy), followed by a wonderful tagliolini with calamari and spider crab, and (forgoing the swordfish rolls he suggested) finished with fried calamari. I washed it all down with an excellent glass of chilled Vermentino (I would have had another, but... driving and wine don't mix!!). While everything was absolutely delicious, I would have preferred the tagliolini to be a little less salty and the fried calamari to be a little drier and crispier. Regardless, I definitely recommend the place and will definitely return in late spring to enjoy the wonderful outdoor seating overlooking the sea! Thank you, and see you soon.

The restaurant is easily accessible and is located right in the pleasant and well-kept Varazze marina. During warmer months, a characteristic "floating" table area is available for guests. Additional outdoor tables and a veranda are available in front of the restaurant if needed. The restaurant is quite well-kept and clean. We had lunch here on a beautiful weekday and were welcomed into a quiet, uncrowded atmosphere by a cheerful and friendly waitress who immediately made us feel at ease. The fixed menu is verbally displayed by the staff daily based on the catch, plus a few other dishes. The wine list is available via QR code. We tried the trofie with John Dory, squid, and slipper lobster sauce, which was very good, accompanied by a vegetable bread. We also tried the mixed grill (minimum 2 people), which was very varied and pleasantly plentiful. The house dessert was coffee cake with panna cotta. We spent €74 (€6 cover charge for two people, €15 for a first course, €45 for the grill, €3 for a bottle of water, €5 for a dessert), a price we thought was fair considering the quality/quantity/price and service. We were satisfied.

The food is great, dont forget to ask whether there is raw fish on the menu or not beforehand if it matters to you! Otherwise, the service is great, they are extremely nice and honest, really friendly, the location is great you can get ice cream afterwards as well. Great place to eat!

Absolutely fantastic place to eat. The concept is just brilliant (if you are openminded). You basically prepay a dinner and then get surprised with the fresh catch of the day containing starter, first & second course and a desert. When you are finished you can repeat any of the dishes free of charge. Some people did, I was pretty full (and i eat a lot). The place is full young enthusiastic stuff which is an excellent oportunity for them to learn the business. Simply top place!

Best food in Varazze! Fresh fish, amazing views and a desert to die for. Incredibly well chosen and tasty menu with a nicely priced wine and a lovely outside areas offers a great combination for a very pleasent evening. 100% recommended! PS just a tiny suggestion to the service .. Some further knowledge of offered wines and some kind of basic facts would be helpful for us to chose the best wine to this fantastic menu.

Looking for fresh fish! CATCH OF THE DAY!!!This is the place to go...set menu includes starters, 2 mains, desert. Great wine...my favorite rosè (Prima Brezza)... good price for amazing food and optimum service! Chef also made each dish special, all flavours complimented esch other...and its rigjt on the wharf....

We stayed two nights in Marina di Varazze and managed to get a table on the pontoon. The restaurant is run by the local fishing industry and whats on the menu each night is what they catch that day.…

Bel locale che si affaccia sul porto. I camerieri gentili solerti e disponibili a piccole varianti. Il menù è uguale per tutti dal momento che si mangia quello che al mattino hanno pescato i marinai del posto. Prodotti freschissimi e non sempre a disposizione come la lampuga. Si sentiva che il pesce era fresco, per i miei gusti un pizzico di sale in più non guastava. Unica nota discordante che sul sito è al telefono hanno detto che il menù minimo era di 44 euro mentre sul posto è diventato 55. Magari in base al pesce. C'è la possibilità di scegliere un menù a 55 con antipasto primo secondo e dolce oppure delle varianti più costose con astici o/e aragoste fresche che si vedono ancora nella vasca. Essendo la cena di ferragosto ci hanno anche portato un calice di vino bianco e un ostrica a testa. Bagno veramente carino con dispenser per il colluttorio( mai visto altrove). In sostanza buon cibo e bel posto. Parcheggio da cercare.

per uno come me che viene dal sud sicilia ed abita al mare il luogo non è nulla di speciale e i piatti sono solo esteticamente curati, sapori nella sufficienza e "freschezza" del pesche buona per la zona ma lontano da ciò che sono abituato a mangiare (pescato e mangiato). la location vorrebbe risultare suggestiva con la possibilità di mangiare sulla "zattera" in mare ma che in realtà essendo dentro il porto l'effetto non è poi quello desiderato... Sarà perché ho visitato posti con tavoli sulla spiaggia o su moli situati direttamente sul mare aperto che danno veramente forti emozioni. dall'antipasto al dolce aspettavo qualche piatto che mi stupisse particolarmente ma con un po di delusione il "gusto" era flat un po per tutti i piatti, la frittura era ben fatta... tutte le porzioni erano giuste e c'era stata data possibilità di bis sui primi ma che nessuno degli 8 a tavola ha voluto fare (se fosse stata "wow" lo avrebbero fatto tutti). non voglio fare il ritico ma sinceramente mi aspetto solo un livello di sapori superiore, per il resto è un buon ristorante.

Menu fisso a 39€ composto da antipasto, primo, secondo dolce e caffe i cui piatti principali variano sulla base del pescato del giorno. Il pesce è ben cucinato e ben presentato. Il bere è escluso ma anche la carta di vini è varia. Il posto è sicuramente bello... Suggestiva l'esperienza di mangiare in una chiatta sul mare. Consigliata la prenotazione sopratutto nei weekend estivi.

Sono venuta spesso in questo ristorante molto particolare nel suo concetto di menù, in cui il menù del giorno varia in base al pescato e ho trovato un po' di caos questa volta. Nessuno ci ha chiesto cosa volessimo bere, o spiegato il menù del giorno, dovuto probabilmente al caos della domenica a pranzo ma, visto il posto, ci si aspetta un'attenzione in più. Cibo ottimo.

We ate on the platform overlooking the sea, a unique atmosphere. As for the food, however, we were disappointed with the options: either the set menu or the off-menu options were very expensive (justified by the quality of the fish). The service was a bit lacking, but the house wine was very good.

The service needs a lot of work; we weren't read the (fixed) menu, nor were we asked if we wanted wine, but we had to call the waiter to order it after someone else had already brought us the appetizer without anyone else showing up. The food, however, was very good, especially the main course, while unfortunately the first course was rather small and, above all, cold. A good restaurant in a great location that partially justifies the price.

You'd go there because you love fish: only at dinner you gotta know what they will serve to you, depending on the catch of the day. In case of bad weather the alternative table location isn't as good as i wished. Good selection of wines

I loved the idea of surprise fish menu depending on the catch of the day. The food was tasty and for sure fresh. There is a dose of mass type of restaurant, but if you don't mind that, its a good address 😉

Wonderful location, if you can eat on the dock, quality on average but tasty food. The service is impeccable because it is used to a refined and Milanese clientele. Prices in line with the market and the season. This place is a real treat.

il posto è fantastico, abbiamo pranzato sopra il mare, molto suggestivo. il menù è a prezzo fisso 39 euro a cui aggiungere acqua e vino.Non proprio regalato. il pesce dovrebbe essere il pescato del giorno. i piatti sono cucinati bene, con un'aggiunta eccessiva di aglio che purtroppo ha completamente coperto il gusto del filetto di orata che a quel punto poteva essere filetto di qualunque cosa perchè in effetti il sapore del pesce non si è sentito affatto. i tempi di attesa un pò eccessivi, ci sono volute circa 2 ore per completare il pranzo.

Esperienza da mensa aziendale. Menu fisso senza che si conosca prima di mangiare. Poi si passa alle portate, un antipasto di tartare senza gusto ed accompagnato da spiedino di calamaro freddo, una pasta al sugo di pesce annaquata, ed un dentice. Nulla di questo al palato sembrerebbe pescato del giorno. Il dolce una banale panna cotta. Tutto questo con l acqua e bicchiere di vino a 50 euro a persona. In zona c è di molto meglio.
