this place has simply one of the best gluten free pizza doughs we have tried . the waiters were really friendly and to top it off they have gluten free beers as well, so it was a very pleasant experience.

I ordered Pizza Vegetale with Buffalo-Mozzarella and it was very delicious!! With buffalo-mozzarella it tastes better! I had to wait long for the pizza as it was crowded plus many takeaways but it was worth it. And they also have an offer from 17:00-19:00: Pizza + Aperol for 10€. I’m not sure how long this will last but use it! 😄

The best pizza I’ve ever had (coming from an Italian)! It was so good that we went back the next day for lunch to get a pizza to eat by the water. It was unbelievable! Would recommend making reservations as it gets busy!

We have ordered 6 different pizzas and all of them were delicious 🤤. Pizzas are cheap, you would pay between 8 to 14 euros for each pizza, and I may say 1 pizza is more than enough for a regular person. Melissa, Antonio and Silvia were extremely thoughtful with us <3

Absolutely delicious. Light, thin crust pizza with over 50 selections. The kids & I absolutely loved the pizza and the service was phenomenal. Our server was working with one helper and taking care of at least 20 tables. The restaurant is small but perfect. Clean restroom.

Brick oven pizza…delicious crispy light crust. The house white wine was so refreshing, we got a 1 L pitcher. :) At least 60 combinations of pizzas on the menu. Excellent service on a busy night. Highly recommended.

I’m always on the hunt for gluten free dishes and their gluten free pizza was definitely the best one I’ve eaten during our whole Cinque terre trip. All the ingredients seemed fresh and were very tasteful! They have tons of pizza’s and for every one it’s possible to order it without gluten, how amazing :) I also think they have good prices! The service was also great. It was super busy for take out, but the waitress was still very attentive to the needs of all the people waiting in front of their restaurant. Instead of me having to approach her, she noticed I was new in line and she came to me and handed me a menu. Even when I was looking for the English menu, she noticed and came to bring the right one when it became available. Attentiveness like this while it’s super busy, is very rare these days I find :) I would say the place doesn’t look so nice to go for a sit, especially since a lot of people choose for take out and are standing in front of your table then..I would recommend getting their pizza and find a cute place to sit at the sea side :)

Ampissima scelta di pizze (e non solo), per tutti i gusti. Locale un po’ piccolo ma c’è anche la possibilità di prendere d’asporto. Prezzi adeguati.

Per una pizza veloce senza troppe pretese va bene. Servizio veloce, ci siamo fermati a pranzo ed era molto pieno ma non hanno avuto fretta di mandarci via come ho letto dalle recensioni precedenti. Hanno l opzione della pizza senza glutine che era abbastanza buona. Il locale non era pulitissimo. Conto tutto sommato nei range delle 5 terre anche se +3 euro per la pizza s.g. mi sembra un po tanto.

Diciamo che è il migliore a Monterosso riguardo la pizza, è buono per i stranieri, per gli italiani una buona sufficienza, consigliato

The lady seating us spoke Spanish and was friendly :) the staff overall was polite. We sat inside due to rain, the space is compact and can feel a bit crowded. They dont serve Napolitan pizza, is more crunchy style? And they have a ton of flavors, really a lot! Radler/lemon beer and other many beers are offered. Also wine. My bf loooved his pizza. I, on the other hand, not so much really. Coperto/cover charge of €2 euros per person. Overall, I think I would give more chance to other pizza places in town.

Normal pizzas look great, they also have senza glutine pizza bases available on request for a ln extra charge. Seating outside can mean be both warm and lead to you being overseen by those waiting for a table. Provided you don't mind someone watching you eat every bite you'll be all good.

Do note just so you are aware (not a problem), if the pizza ingredients lists doesn’t say cheese, there will be no cheese, similarly, if not tomato, then there will be no tomato base. We visited this place in June. The place was very crowded. We got a table after waiting for few mins. We ordered two vegetarian pizzas and two drinks. The pizzas tasted great. The tables are placed extremely closed to each other and people were walking around touching the table and it was uncomfortable. Overall the food was great and not that expensive for a tourist place. I would recommend this place.

Thought the hostess waitress woman was quite rude and unpleasant. Other waiter gave incorrect wait time for food and we waited over 20 minutes for just a calzone. Terrible.

Pizza senza glutine molto buona, ma un po' cara. Anche la pizza normale è abbastanza buona. Locale caratteristico, ma non troppo pulito. Le cameriere cordiali si danno un gran da fare, ma sono in 2 e aiutano anche in cucina, quindi i tempi di attesa sono un po' lunghi.

Bella location nel centro storico di Monterosso. Abbiamo prenotato alle 21 e abbiamo cenato alle 22... Nonostante ciò mi sento di dire che il personale è stato gentile. Pizza niente di che onestamente

It was fine. The service was good. It was quick. The pizza tasted good. But they need to work on their presentation. I ordered a pie with black olives, artichokes, ham, and mushrooms and they literally put individual piles of the ingredients onto the pizza. So, I had about two slices each with individual toppings. Two slices each of black olives, artichokes, ham, and mushrooms. It’s like the person making the pizza either was deliberately trying to screw with me or he/she wasn’t thinking at all and just put their handful of toppings in separate piles neglecting to spread them across the face of the pie for an all inclusive tasting experience. Either way, what a horrible presentation and poor eating experience for the customer. I ordered take out so I didn’t see the pizza pie with the individual clumps of toppings till after I retired to my room to eat my dinner. There was no sense in going back at that point. The food was edible.

Di per sé la pizza non sarebbe neanche male ma la farinata anche no! Farinata ordinata e portata in tavola dopo neanche 5 minuti,poi la.guardi e la vedi che è farinata di quelle congelate messe nel forno e scaldate... Consiglio vivamente di toglierla dal menù

Il ristorante La Smorfia è situato proprio nel centro storico di Monterosso e si trova in una delle viuzze caratteristiche del luogo. Il locale è piccolo e accogliente e il personale cortese. Noi abbiamo ordinato un calzone con salsiccia e mozzarella di bufala e una pinsa senza glutine con stracchino, prosciutto cotto e pesto genovese. Purtroppo però al posto del calzone è arrivata una pizza senza glutine, che sembrava più una focaccia bassa e cruda, e sulla pinsa mancava il pesto ed era gommosa. Inoltre erano insipide e insapori. Peccato, ma non ci torneremo.

Metto una stella perché meno non si può. Abbiamo cenato in questo posto, la pizza è arrivata con un pelo sopra, il cameriere con aria snervata mi chiede “te la devo rifare?”, palesemente mi è stata riportata la stessa pizza perché verso le 22 la cucina chiude, scaldata e bruciata ai bordi. Nella caprese la mozzarella ci viene presentata come di bufala, mentre è palesemente del discount come, del resto, l’olio che servono in tavola della marca “ITALIAMO”, lidl. Il conto che ci è stato presentato è di 46 euro per due pizze, due birre e due capresi del discount. Non torneremo e sconsiglio la visita a chiunque voglia mangiare una vera pizza.

Went to this restaurant with my family (party of 3). We were told it was a 20 minute wait, which was somewhat accurate. However, when we got seated we were sat at a table for 2. Immediately I was questioning how this was going to work as the restaurant was quite cramped. As I was standing wondering where I was going to sit as there was only two seats, the waitress brought out a stool which we later found out was from the bathroom. I found it a little embarrassing that I had to ask for a proper chair with back support (which all other customers had). The small table eventually became a problem when our pizzas came out as they took up quite a bit of space. We had to put our drinks on the floor just to make room for our food. The worst part is that I could put all of these inconveniences aside if the service was half decent. Our waitress came across as rude and at some points straight up ignored us. I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting Monterosso as it left me hungry and with a bad impression. I'm sure you can find a better spot.

They offer fake gluten free because the pizza is made in the same oven as everything else and isn’t covered which makes it completely cross contaminated. This will get you sick. Extremely disappointed. I can’t eat anything here at all.

Pizza is great! We took 2 pizzas to go and 2 small beers to drink while we wait. The waitress asked us if we would agree to standing up if needed, which we agreed to, expecting that we would only be asked to do so if there are no free tables. 2 minutes later after brining the beer the waitress is asking us to stand up to drink the beer standing on the street, while 2/3 of tables inside were free. I asked her if we could sit inside and said nevermind, stay where you are. 2 minutes later she comes back asking us to leave the table, I asked her if we could stay inside, she finally agreed, very disappointed in us. We paid for 2 beers and 2 pizzas, just like any other customer and I see no reasons for us to stand up to drink our beers when there are free tables inside. There are plenty of nice places in Monterosso, I would recommend avoiding this one, especially if you need takeaway.
