Just came from dinner there. Came in a little after they set up the dinner buffet. Employees masked and doing final cleanup. Food actually a bit better than it was before the lockdowns. I still think it is very good, esp. for the price. Can't understand the bad reviews of their staff. It's a buffet, the staff were decently uniformed and filled the drinks and took away the plates. All I would want at a buffet. Not all speak great english, but that applies to the customers as well. Good selection, good price, clean and well run. Give it a shot

The food was really good.a little pricey.worth it though. They let me go out and smoke a cig and come back in. The waiter was blunt is probably the only bad thing I could say and the was just cause he seemed to want to make sure I had what I wanted asap. I would have said 5 stars if it hadn't cost 18 bucks

My rate for Ocean Buffet is a 4.6, place felt welcoming, waitress was friendly including the staff. I feel like this place has a balanced amount of good food. The food was fresh and for a place like this they dont require to have a large selection of food as the selection they have is just as good although most disagree. The tea was refreshing, left feeling full for most of the day and for a fair price can't beat that plus a fortune cookie given at the end yum. Will be back for sure, delish.🍤🍓 only took a few pics since I was busy eating a ton 🙂

An aging spacious Chinese buffet with no frills or thrills and ordinary cuisine. No sushi. There are two types of Asian buffets, low tier fried greasy comfort Chinese foods or high tier selections typically with sushi and raw seafood; this is the former. Occasionally you find a gem where you get offered high tier selections at low tier prices but this place offers nothing special. There are about 85 different items and most are similar in flavor: fried, sweet, and salty. The best 5 star items were buffalo wings, roast chicken, broccoli beef, and black pepper chicken. 4 star items include sesame and general tzos chicken. All seafood was 3-4, depending on your preferences. Do not get the egg roll, 1/5. There are snow crabs on Friday dinner only, which I missed. All in all, an average option for starving people and parties for your distant nephew or neice. Flavor 3/5 Service 4/5 - they clear plates frequently Atmosphere 3/5 Value 3/5 (no high ticket items, snow crab legs on Friday dinner only)

My family of five stopped by for a quick meal. The dish was flavorless and stale. I couldn't find a single dish with flavor. The staff was friendly. My kids had fun challenging one another to try the sushi. Following our meals here, we all experienced digestive problems. Will won't be returning any time soon.

We chose this place randomly. It was our first time coming here. The food wasn't bad, but could be better. The hibachi grill section has instructions, but I had a question. There was no one there for me to ask. I just wanted to be sure if I was leaving my plate in the correct spot. The man finally retuned and just nodded. I just feel the communication was lacking. My sister and her kids love crabs. Their complaint is the crabs are served cold and they will not heat them up. Also, we've never been to a Chinese buffet with no ice cream. That was odd. They had desserts, but they were mediocre. The rice noodles didn't taste the best and I didn't like the spring rolls. Everyone's experience will be different; you'd have to try it for yourself.

The food is decent and the restaurant is nice. It seems like a nice vibe with soft music. When we went it was a little empty considering how big the space is. Some of the food looked like it may have been sitting out for a while. The fried rice didn't have very much flavor, but it was edible. Overall, it was subpar.

Food was gross. Fried shrimp was just fried no shrimp. chicken was dry. Crawfish was yellow. You could tell the ice cream had been sitting there all day.

Stay away from this place and if you do decide you wanna eat here, stay away from shellfish and any jello, literally smells like dirty sink water, never have I EVERRRR left a google review on any place and this place did it for me. Immediately felt queasy. I’m not from Waco and I disappointingly thought it’d be nice to eat here. Very upset. Money wasted. All they offered was 20% off but that is nothing really compared to the health anxiety I have now ab the oyster I ate. Literally disgusting. Would love to see how this place does under a health inspection review.

The visit was very upsetting. Ocean Buffet was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The food was genuinely terrible—bland, overcooked, and inedible in some cases. The service was just as bad, slow and inattentive, like the staff didn’t care at all. To top it off, there was food literally under our table that hadn’t been cleaned before we were seated, which is just disgusting. I’ve never experienced such a sloppy, unprofessional buffet, and I wouldn’t go back there under any circumstances. I’m a returning customer for about a yr now but I went in today to get a Togo order and at checkout I was presented with my receipt in which I was charged 8.37 more when they ran my card than what was on my receipt. This is complete dishonesty. Please check your cards and receipts after paying before you leave they will overcharge you and give you excuses of why and not return your money.

The food sucked, it was all over cooked with absolutely no flavor. Waitress was rude from the start couldn’t wait to walk away before barely getting my family’s drink order then didn’t come back for refills or to clear plates, till she brought the check. Then got upset about the tip. If you want a better tip, have better service. I honestly will not be returning to this establishment ever again. Summer palace is 100 times better go there instead.

Food was good overall but service was not good. We had to ask for a refill for drinks and they didn’t pick up our dirty plates till the table was absolutely full. We decided to not leave a tip and wrote we would leave a cash tip and then was confronted as to why there was not a tip. Also charged $9 for a 4 year old buffet.

Currently in the bathroom with the worst diarrhea I’ve ever had in my life, damm near on life support. I’ve thrown up several times as well. The service was great tho and our waitress was really nice
