Hugo's Pizzeria

I come get a slice here often. It’s unfortunate that the price has gone up so much in recent years but I guess that’s true of most places. When slices were $1.50 it was a great deal. Now it’s just about average. The pizza isn’t the best, but it’s consistent and it will satisfy that craving you have for a slice. I like that you can get just a slice or two if you want. The dining area is usually quiet, with plenty of seating for just yourself or you and a couple friends. They have some games for the kids. I like that you get the sweet smell of the breads being baked at the panaderia next door. Parking is usually no problem. The staff is friendly.

i've been meaning to try this place for awhile now and i'm glad i did. i got a slice of pepperoni and a can of soda for $5.15! and the pizza was pretty good. the guys behind the counter were polite and the place was clean. i will be back. thanks Hugo

The Hot One is my absolute favorite! The pizza is huge and reasonably priced. The only downside is sometimes the dough isn’t fully cooked in spots and it could use a little more salt. But still giving it five stars for flavor, value, and presentation. It’s a square pizza!!! It fills the box.

I believe these are the same owners from Pizza Mia if not they use the same recipe. Staff were mostly teenagers very friendly . looks like a great 1st job. Clean and have great prices.

Went to this place feeling a bit uneasy. Only went because other pizza place (PizzaMia) didn't answer my call so I thought they were closed. We honestly loved this pizza , the place too it's super clean and organized. But going back to the pizza we got a combination and it's just so much better made. Veggies are very well chopped they put extra cheese. Just super delicious . Average wait for a pizza is 20 min.

My favorite pizza in watsonville. Thick bready slices covered in cheese and your choice of toppings. What's not to love? I think they're at their best when you limit your toppings. One to three is best. It helps get you a nice even bake with perfectly melty cheese.

The slices are pretty good overall. The price for the slice and drink is reasonable. It is also very clean and the freshness of the pizza is great!

Did a taste test between Hugo's and pizza mia. Hugo's pizzas crust was much better than pizza mia. Overall taste was very good. Sliced were a little small. Watch out pizza mia you have competition.

The slices used to be BIG. Almost would cover the whole plate. Now the slices are $3.50 each and they are significantly smaller. Pizza Mia in town has the exact same pizza for $2.75 a slice. The pizza is slightly bigger. I love Hugo’s but this is a disappointment.

I really like the pizza here been eating here for years but they've recently raised the prices and sometimes not all the time the portions or sub par, and if you call order make sure they heard you and have them read back your order mine always gets messed up and I end up having to pay more. Also I wish they would repair the arcade machines.

TO OWNER or WHOEVER REPLIED TO MY INITIAL REVIEW: How would you have "record" of me being a customer? I didn't sign a log once i arrived. This proves the lack of customer service and how we will NOT be back! I wouldn't even leave this star! Made my husband wait over 30 mins for 3 slices of pizza! They started serving customers first who got there after we already placed our order!! The guy running the register was a straight hater!!!! Never again will we give our money to this janky pizza spot. Wack!

They used to be amazing 5 or so years ago. WHAT HAPPENED???!!! We would always look forward to coming for pizza during our vacation. There quality soucks no better than frozen pizza now so sad totally average. No longer special!!! Family tradition NO MORE!

I ordered through the phone and was told my slices were going to be done in 15 minutes. I arrived and asked if my order was done and was told that my order was mixed up and that it would take an extra 10 minutes. This is like the third time, but didn't want to post anything cause I know mistakes happen but this has been like the third time in the short term. Very disappointed.
