Stopped here after work later at night, my friend insisted I try this place, I must say I ordered the veggie samosas and chicken tikka masala and plain naan everything was tasty fresh I will be coming back soon. Also tried the coca cola version but Indian it was good.
We have been living in Playa Vista for over a decade and this was the first time we came here. I wish I could come much earlier and this is a legit place with delicious Indian cuisine with excellent service! We came around 5:30p on a Saturday so the restaurant was entirely empty (when we left at 6:45 it was packed). We were greeted by friendly staff who made some good recommendations on the appetizers and the combo dishes. We decided to go with the appetizer assortment that came with different samosas (one with veggie one with lamb), chicken and some other fried veggie. Thru are all delicious and opened up our appetite for the entree. We ordered three different combos (one chef special with tandoori chicken and curry lamb, one with chicken Korma, and chicken curry. Honestly I love them all but the chicken Korma definitely stands out given its rich and creamy texture! The sides that come with combo are also flavorful: A side of salad, veggie stew, and bean curry. We also ordered a separate side of naans and I highly recommend giving it a try! So fluffy, with a bit charcoal burn at the bottom and perfect for scooping the curry! We decided to pass the dessert in the end. To our surprise the staff brought rice pudding to us for FREE! Such a nice touch. We will defiantly come back again!
Had lunch (twice) at this remarkable place, the owner Ravi is a gem of a person and management, who is running this place for more than 20++ years. The indian food taste is one of the best i had in LA and in comparison to what we had in NYC. The restaurant is not in the main area but near to Venice Canal and is clean. We tried Samosa, Aloo ka paratha. Veggie daal and Chicken tikka - all items were lip smacking good - would i recommend and visit again - for sure
I have lived in Marina Del Rey for 20 years and tried all the Indian Restaurants in the area and nothing compares to Taj India Palace! Lavi usually answers the phone for delivery service. He does excellent job handling take out or delivery orders. The food is authentic and outstanding quality. The pricing is similar to other Indian Restaurant’s, but Taj India Palace serves huge portions. Excellent value too. Also, Robbie does a great job handling phone orders too. If you want excellent Indian food. This is the place!
The service is great and the food was delicious!
Phenomenal food and service. We love the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, vegetable samosa, and tandoori chicken and we’re here almost every week! Our waiter Gill is the best!
We ordered 2 veg thali and one veg biryani. Veg biryani was Ok , Thalis were good. Good to taste the saag and daal with good taste , no cream added. Most of the Indian restaurants serve saag with lots of cream which is not the case of Taj India place. Another good part is delivery of food, restaurant owner was able to deliver the food on LAX 👌 awesome. Will highly recommend Taj India Palace.
Been coming here for 12 years and it ROCKs!! 😊 Kewl Indian artwork too art 🖼️ Super friendly, amazing food and always reliable. Price is decent too.

Taj Indian Palace is a wonderful place for authentic flavors. The tandoor paratha and chicken thali were absolutely delicious and full of taste. What makes the experience even better is the warm hospitality — owner Raviji himself is very attentive and ensures every guest feels well taken care of. A must-visit for anyone craving real Indian food! If you’re looking for a place that serves genuine flavors with heartfelt service, Taj Indian Palace is absolutely worth visiting.
Great food! Came in before my lodging was ready and they didn’t make me feel bad for having my luggage. Service was quick and very friendly! Food was delicious, some of the best butter chicken i’ve ever had, lunch special came with more than enough food. Will definitely be back if ever in LA again.
Enjoyed all the food. Staff was attentive but not hovering. Food came out quickly. Restaurant is not very large and a little dark, but that probably makes it a bit more of a hole-in-the-wall find with decent food near airport hotels without having to be stuck eating usually mediocre hotel food

Let me start this review with phenomenal customer service, great food, best nana out of any Indian restaurant I have gone too, and very nice and cozy atmosphere.
Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had, creamiest butter chicken ever, nan was perfection and papadum was incredibly delicious. Workers were friendly and fast, found my new Indian spot in LA
We ordered food out several times form this place and what I really like about it them is that the food arrives packaged in aluminum containers with paper and a thin plastic lid. I hate the amount of plastic we, as a nation, make use of and dispose of. It’s insane how much of it doesn’t get recycled and ends up in landfills so the fact that some restaurants consider that and chose a sustainable alternative instead is a big bonus point for me. The rice is always beautifully fluffy and aromatic. The meat dishes are good and flavorful. The garlic naan is always fresh. But the okra dish I had tonight was insulting. The okra was so old, it felt like I was chewing straw. It was inedible. Instead of using young fresh okra they used the stuff other restaurants probably throw in the bin - there’s no other way for me to explain how that vegetable was so hard to chew and just splintered in my mouth like dry straw. Who decided to cook that and serve it to customers? Lastly, they don’t give you a choice for how spicy to cook the food so you get what you get.
Well our experience was not so pleasant. We went for LA last weekend and fortunately we found this place near airport to satisfy our hunger. The owner was a nice person and let us seated respectfully and waited patiently for our orders. We ordered chicken thali and aloo, gobhi prantha. So i’ll start with thali. Though we asked for spicy chicken curry in thali but the curry was sweet and bland. Same goes for other curries i.e mis vegetables curry. It feels like both have same curry. There is no salt in any of the curry and daal in the thali. Though we liked their aloo prantha. It was tandoori prantha as we used to have in india. Stuffing was spicy and delicious but gobhi prantha did not have salt. We only like their aloo prantha. Owner came to serve our dish and he was a nice person as he provided us the pickle that we asked for with prantha and also gracefully took our feedback about food. They need to work on their food and flavours
The food was ok, we ordered Biryani and a combination plate.I didn't really enjoyed it,but i am giving a 3 stars because of the great customer service. We also order a combination of appetizers which was very good!

They have completely changed and they don’t care. 60 DOLLARS FOR THIS PORTION, insane. Tried talking to the store manager. He said he knows it’s significantly less food for more money. This used to be our favorite.
I am disappointed after having food here which was not at all good. We ordered dal, pea palaw, matar paneer and butter chicken. Dal and pea palaw was full of turmeric. How some one can cook like this. Butter chicken had not good chicken. Better try to other place. Even prices are on higher side. Don’t go to this place. All waiter will talk so sweet that you will fall in there pray.

They poisoned me and when I told them about me being in the emergency room they laughed and hung up. Absolutely horrific!!!!
Food was ok - no spices. Never felt eating India food. Ordered paneer makhani and it had tooo much food coloring. Even after washing the hands with soap color didn’t go. I had to brush my teeth twice to get rid of food coloring. Please avoid ordering from this restaurant.
I ordered a vegan paneer substitute with mushrooms. They replaced it with chicken instead. You don’t realize it until you’ve already taken a bite. If you have dietary restrictions, be careful ordering here. 🐔
