We’ve been coming here for years and just wanted to say I think this place has gotten better and better. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese and want a variety to choose from but still get the quality in each dish this is the place. We’re never disappointed. We live out of state now but we come back here every time in the area. Love it! Pictured: Com Tam with shrimp and tofu shrimp patty AND Chicken Curry with baguette and really good and strong Vietnamese iced coffee and deliciously fishy fish sauce 😆❤️
First time here with my family. This place is awesome! Seriously, best Vietnamese food ever! The server is super friendly!
Totally forgot about this OG Vietnamese restaurant with all the family diner dishes. This is the place where you can still get Tom càng kho tàu where nó one else serves it. Service is on point and friendly. Good food and better pricing than most of the other family style dinner restaurant in the area.
Authentic Vietnamese food. Everything taste very fresh and tasty. Good prices compared to the other places around and good quality food and portions I got the braid beef with jasmine rice, picked cabbage and fresh salad. $14.50 For a drink I got fresh coconut juice with chucks of coconut $5 I got it togo everything was packaged nicely.
Thành Restaurant (located at 9872 Bolsa Ave) is by far my favorite pork BBQ place in all of California! #27 is what I usually order and u won’t be disappointed! Simply the best!😊😋
I randomly walked in and had F7 Bun Tau Hu Ky Bo. It was the dry rice noodles topped with shrimp patty wrapped in tofu skin and grilled beef. It was my first time tasting the shrimp patty thing and it was delicious! We also had the Imperial roll. It is deep fried spiced ground pork. Also very good. I asked for a cup of beef broth, likely same as one used in beef pho. It was so flavorful and sweet. I liked it. The desert of coconut with grass jelly is quite delightful as well.
The staff was very nice and the food was fresh and delicious!
Long time customer since 1991. Moved out of state but always return when we visit. Still a great place with friendly service. Highly recommend a visit.
A very delicous Vietnamese restaurant in LA. They offer variable desert "Chè" which are the mixed of many kinds of bean. Although the food a little bit over sweet but I enjoyed eating here

Foods are good and consistent. Friendly services.
More than 40 years. I love Thanh My Restaurant. The Best Vietnamese Food.
It's always a good experience food is really good and authentic, all dishes are served quickly and the staff is friendly
I feel like they know me here better than I know me. The food is one step better than best. It's the bestest and I'm not joking.
Good food, friendly staff and price not expensive 😀
Feels like home, cozy and familiar. Staff are very friendly and prices are reasonable, food is delicious
Best pho ever. Tried a couple places in Westminster, a few in LA and Gardena. This one tastes the freshest. Last went a year ago.
A very 'Authentic' Vietnamese Restaurant. The lady who owns the restaurant herself is very kind and respectful. The food is decent for a quite affordable price. Definitely recommended!
This is one of my favorite places to go to when I'm visiting home. My whole family enjoys it as well. Thank you.
Delicious Authentic vietnamese foods. Most employees are cool except that old lady who I think is the owner she's rude.
Good family Vietnamese food, quick service, reasonable price, wide variety of food items.
Always consistent food and service. I feel so fortunate we have this type of food so close in Southern California. I really love it here
Menu is spectacular with pictures. Very roomy among tables makes private. Delicious food and sincere service!!!
I'm a big fan of their clay pot fish (ca kho to) and egg rolls. Their bun cha is also great.
This place is great. My dad is Vietnamese and he loves this place. I always get the vermicelli noodles with egg rolls and beef.
My first taste of vietnam food. It is a different taste than what i am use to. Its prices are fair. The staff is very friendly.
First time and and very impressive. Foods are very good and prices are cheap also. Next time I will eat here again.
Good food. Great service. Good good . They have everything like a simple food to seafood to a set family old traditional Vietnamese food😊
Very great food and delicious food 😋 yummy and great service 👏
Saturday 10/28/23 Dinner at Thanh My Restaurant in Westminster with my father and sister. Specialty Vietnamese foods: catfish soup, braised catfish, chicken, and ong choy. Delicious, savory, refreshing. Service staffs were attentive and working hard on a busy Saturday night. Restaurant has a modern decor. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. They have lots of items on their menu. I’ll be returning to try out their other dishes. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast
We’ve been going to this restaurant for years and it’s been amazing each time. This place is why I can never eat pho elsewhere. Always get the imperial eggroll and the clam soup. Anything that has the golden sauce is fantastic. Definitely try one of the dessert items. In short, everything I’ve tried, and the menu is extensive, have made me and my husband happy. Super recommend.
Great food, great portion, great prices. It's exactly what I expect when I want good Vietnamese food. The place is also way cleaner and we'll decorated than any place I've been to in the Bay Area, further proving SoCal's dominance over the north. Food is presented quite well and lots of meat is given for the price. Taste is exceptional too. Can't really go wrong with any options.
I've never been disappointed eating here! My favorite default comfort food is the Hoanh Thanh Mi. As for all the other dishes, everything is well prepared & seasoned. Great Vietnamese food! For parties or potlucks, I highly recommend ordering their tray of egg rolls! I've had 100% compliments every single time I've shared them!
Good traditional Vietnamese food!
I am a teacher and the parent of a child in my class took some staff out to dinner. The restaurant is owned by grand parents who had been in business for over 3 decades. Busy place but the food was delicious. We learned a lot from the experience and definitely will take the family for dinner.
Not a lot of VN places can do the wide range of dishes at the quality they do. We all have our go-to places for com Tam, pho, banh xeo, etc... But this place actually does everything really well. So if the family can't agree what they want to eat, just come here. It's all good.
I love Vietnamese restaurants (and I was married to a Vietnamese for 20 years) and in my mind, this is one of the best Vietnamese food I ever tried. Everything from rice, to freshness and prompt service make me love this place. I would highly recommend.
Food and customer service here is great, I’ve have been going here since I was a young kid!
Pho' tastic! From Vietnamese soup to finger foods like spring rolls. You will appreciate the care this place takes presenting a tasty dish. It has a tight seating arrangement, but clean a tidy. Would call ahead for larger dinner parties. Friendly staff, but limited English speaking skills. They will try to accommodate you and that is what I appreciate when looking for alternative dining choices.
This would be where you go when you don't want to cook but want a "family style" comfort meal. Food and service is consistent. Recommended: -Claypot caramelized fish -Beef salad -Sweet and sour soup with fish
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant. They have everything from Pho to Crepes and rice dishes. I like the steamed clams along with the Ban Xeo crepe. The chicken curry is a little on the bland side but still very tasty.
Really good authentic food. Easily the best Vietnamese food I’ve had. I ordered the Hu Tieu Bo Kho (beef stew with noodles). I’m still craving it…
Delicious traditional Vietnamese dishes . . . excellent Catfish, Pork, Beef, and Chicken dishes . . . Good service with courteous, professional, and responsive staff.
My favorite all around Vietnamese restaurant. Crispy imperial rolls, shaken beef (bo luc lac), and soda lemonade are my favorites. I'm not a fish sauce fan so I also ask them for the vegetarian sauce which is a mixture of soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar to dip my rolls or put a bowl of Lemon grass beef bun.
One of the oldest Vietnamese restaurants in Little Saigon. A friend who grew up in the SoCal Vietnamese community took me here so I could try some classic southern Vietnamese dishes for the first time. Items ordered: 1. Banh Hoi Chao Tom — “sugarcane shrimp,” shrimp paste cooked on sugarcane skewers. 2. Ca Kho To — Casserole of caramelized catfish braised in hot pot. 3. Canh Chua Ca — Tamarind soup with catfish. Our dishes also came with a mountain of fresh leafy greens, thin rice noodles and round rice paper sheets cut into quarters to wrap our savory food in. Really enjoyed my 1st visit. If I find the food consistently good on my next visit, I’ll probably upgrade the rating to 4.5-5 stars. Note: This strip mall is extremely popular so parking can be quite difficult.
I loved when I first walked into the restaurant, very asian traditional. super friendly staff. greeting you as you walk in and make you feel welcomed. Only came here to pick my phone order, but if i had time to stay and sit and dine in, i would. the restaurant was clean, and well put together. pricing is not too bad either. they accept cash or credit cards here. parking is not too bad either. looking for a small date ? go here if you are craving vietnamese food.
Great traditional style Vietnamese food. This is the comfort food you crave. The customer service is exceptional. The restaurant is clean with room for large families/groups. We always stop here to eat every time we're in the area.
Ordered the clay pot catfish and it was really good but not as good as my mom’s. Excited to try other items.

Legit Vietnamese cooking here. They have the com phan special by the number of people eating. Highly recommended the canh chua and ca kho to. The morning glory was just okay. We think it was overcooked.
It’s a good spot for a traditional Vietnamese family dinner. We ordered the dinner for five. There’s plenty for everyone to eat. We did order an additional dish, salt and pepper shrimp.
I come here when I want authentic vietnamese family style dinner. Usually order a meat/seafood main dish and also get the two person combo that comes with soup, chicken, a sauteed veggie dish, and rice. They accept credit cards which is rare for a vietnamese restaurant!
Portion of Traditional Family Meal is a bit smaller than others, but could be just right amount of food for lunchtime. Overall catfish and beef are pretty good. Bitter melon soup is nice.
The Com Tam was not great; fish sauce is too salty, the Shrimp paste was undercooked inside and the grill pork is dry. See pic. The saving grace is the Bun Cha Hanoi. That was good and well flavored. Service was fast but may be viewed as terse. The old lady cashier is slow but super nice. Would not get the rice dish next time. Recommend skipping that as well.
If the wait staff has been there longer than your parents been alive and still serving the same grubs, then you know it's good home cooking. No need to worry about authenticity here; pick up the stix & enjoy,
Great Vietnamese restaurant with many traditional entree options if you are ever in the Little Saigon area .. you won't be disappointed

Good quality normal family style Vietnamese restaurant with good food at good prices. Service is reasonable.
Good food. Family style. Worth a stop for casual Vietnamese food.
Great VN Food. Never an issue with my orders. Regardless of where you take-out, just check your order before leaving. Never an issue, but it doesnt hurt.
Excellent option after coming from a theme park. Warm and delicious 😋
Good foods, reasonable prices. Long wait at dinner time.
Huge menu. But busy restaurant so everything's pretty fresh and good. Go there if your party can't agree on what to eat
Authentic Vietnamese food, grace service, price is a bit high for me. It costs two of us $60+ total for Canh chua, cá kho tộ, and tôm càng kho tàu, and a bowl of rice.
Food came out extremely fast and the flavor was great. The shrimp tofu fried thing was SO crunchy and the soup is sweet. Note: portions aren't big enough for two adults to share and CASH ONLY.
It's a local spot with late hours which is nice for late night munchies. They seem to have good reviews, and overall the food was good, but a bit on the pricey side for what you get. I got a steak dish, and for price I paid, I would rather go to an actual steakhouse.
Authentice VNese food. Friendly staff and they do have outside seats which we appreciate because we go out with our ESA pup. Ask the price before you order because what in the menu is not accurate. Water/ice tea is not free and rice is a seperate story, they will count the number of people and time however many the group is does not matter if the food you ordered has "rice" in the name, rice is charged seperatly.
The pho has a great taste and they give you a good amount of food for a good price. Only thing that I have negative to say and the reason they lose a star is because if you don't speak vietnamese, the staff tend to ignore you. You have to speak to and flag down their one english speaking Worker. Other than that always enjoy the food here.
This is one of the oldest Vietnamese restaurants in the Bolsa area. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years, ever since I first moved to Orange County and finally I writing a review, because I truly want to support this place and hope they continue to maintain their quality and reasonable prices. One of my favorite dishes here is the canh chua (Vietnamese sweet & sour soup) and cá kho tộ (caramelized braised fish in clay pot) . it’s perfectly seasoned for those who enjoy authentic Southern Vietnamese flavors, like I do. Other dishes are decent and consistently well prepared. The restaurant may be old, but it’s kept quite clean and is located right in the heart of Little Saigon, so it’s easy to find. Service is friendly and relaxed, and there are plenty of parking spots nearby !

Not sure why this place is so overhyped. Service was rude and food just ok.
Overall the food is OK! But they do have great customer service. Their caramelize catfish (ca kho to) is good, it's the only one I liked here.
This is the Denny's of Vietnamese food. They don't best dishes but they have a good variety of different types of dishes. Solid place if you're unsure of what Vietnamese food to have.
Be careful with the reviews; we came here with only one server; the restaurant is old and has no maintenance. The food is ok; one out of 4 dishes taste ok.
Teast 5/5. No doubt. 1. My concern is cleaness. What I saw was a worker in the restroom not washing his hands after using the restroom. He served food with the same hands that was not washed. A big red flag for me. 2. When I received the check, I noticed that 2 cup of water with ice was charged $1. Not even a bottle water. Problem is that I was not told that water was charged until I received the check. I would have understood if it was bottle water and charged. Not returning. Period.
A very standard viet restaurant with a diverse variety of dishes. Went here with the parental and it was a very okay experience. My parents are very low key so this was a good vibe for them. Service is as one would expect and once we got seated and ordered, we almost never saw the servers again except when food came out. The food was tasty and enjoyable as a family dinner but it's nothing special. Bathrooms were quite dirty and the other half of the restaurant seemed like a prep area and quite messy. Food: 6/10 Service: 4/10 Atmosphere: 3/10 Value: 6/10
Something has changed here, my family and I have been going to this restaurant for 7 years or so. It had been our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. But now we no longer want to go, something was changed either with the recipes or the quality of products to save money, I'm not sure. But they have definitely changed the food. It's not just me, it's my whole family. We tried it a few times since we've noticed the change and we've all agreed that we will not be coming back to this restaurant.
This is a staple. They do those set-style meals where you order for two or three people and get to choose an appetizer and an entrée. Our order never changes: sweet and sour soup with catfish, braised catfish, and watercress with extra garlic (always pay for the extra garlic). This is one of those places I come to with my grandparents, and it genuinely feels like a home-cooked meal every time. It’s been around forever, the staff is always very nice, and they’re open late — which makes it such a reliable option. Comforting, consistent, and solid every single time.

Wow, where do I start. First, they didn't overall did not have the least bit of consumer service while I dined here. I am of Vietnamese heritage and have gone here on vacation, yet I wasn't surprised when the service was terrible. It took me 3 requests to get a simple glass of water, and the waiters were almost ignoring me while I ordered. I had to repeat my order twice! The Phở was very soggy and salty with no consistency whatsoever. The Chao was burning hot, and wasn't traditional at all. They had no Vietnamese Bread Sticks, which set the course terribly. Overall terrible restaurant and would not recommend it. Way to busy and stuffed, loud and lacking.
I ordered chicken pho and the chicken was very hard and chewy as if it were old. The broth tasted okay and the noodles were good. The server was not very attentive and did not offer us refills or ask if everything was good. Will not be coming back here. Lots of parking in the area and the atmosphere was mellow.
I am very upset. I ordered pickup. I called twice and asked for six fish sauces very, very specifically with my order to go with my dishes. They charged me over ten dollars more based off of the menu prices and when I went to pick up my order I asked again, Extra fish is in my bag right? (To justify the higher price) As I check my bag, only one was included but I was charged for six ... ten dollars extra! By the time I tried to fix it and come back into the store to ask, they had already locked their doors and closed. I had a very simple request and I am not coming back here. The food is incredibly bland and actually needs the sauce. The one sauce I did get is watered down, tastes like nothing anyway. Way too expensive and the service is not good, they will forget when you ask them three times for a simple thing. Never coming back with my family.

Good food terrible service from the lady! Her communication with customers are unexceptionable!!!!!! If I am her boss I have no choice to let her go! Good luck lady!!!
we ask for Fried cornish hen, it tasted like it has been in the freezer for a month, tasteless and old. the crab soup did not taste fresh, and to top it up the server was not attentive to our needs. we get out from that place very unhappy.
Very rude! Food is so bad!
Food was ok. I have eaten here multiple times. I will never eat here again and here is why, it's because of the food. On the way out the owner, I'm assuming it was the owner behind the register...I paid with a credit card and left a nice cash tip on the table like I always. I think people appreciate a cash tip more than credit card tip. So I pay for the meal with my CC and leave no tip of course...well the person behind the register made a point to mention that I did not leave a tip on the CC receipt. So I decided not to make a big deal of the situation but I will never eat there again. No one will ever tell me what to do with my money!
So we are in that restraunt and we ordered rice, beef soup with tomato and pickle mustard and the soup spoon had some kind of a stuck vegetable and when we were eating the soup, we found 3 LITTLE BUGS like a house fly. Service was okay, they weren't really that good. Then the food taste was kind of okay. We are not coming back EVER. Please look for bugs in your food for your safety if you come here!!!!
Food was average at best. We ordered Grill Pork Balls and Betel Leaf Beef for DIY rice paper wrap. Their Pork Balls were literally the worst I've ever had... they were tasteless and were not grilled. Their sauces were also dismal. Their Luc Mum was way too salty.... Says it all... Any Vietnamese restaurant that can't make balanced Luc Mum is not worthy of a visit, especially with exceptionally bad customer service!
Waited close to an hour for a rice dish take out order. First delay was because they had no rice. When we asked to cancel they say oh it's already done and waiting. Worst service ever. Side note it was the morning there was no other diners so they were not busy.
They charge for ice water!!! Unbelievable. There are so many good Vietnamese restaurants in the area, go elsewhere. ************************************************** Very authentic Vietnamese dishes. Everything we order is decent. The service is ok, but if u come, u come for the food.
This was my to go place for over 30-years. Yesterday was the worst experience ever. We asked for a few more minutes. That turned into never coming back for our order after making multiple eye contacts. We were going to walk out until the next table customer let a server know we have been waiting to order. One server was completely rude to that very same customer who is a regular there. The restroom was dirty and wet with urine on the seat and the floor. The worker dropped a to-go lid (the inside surface touched the floor) on the floor where his feet was, right in front of us. He picked it up and gave it to us, we had to insist on getting another one. Food was not as tasty as before, no customer service skills, unfriendly and moody environment (feels like a funeral), dirty, one can imagine how they prepare the food when no one is looking. Absolutely not worth it and will not return or recommend.
