haven't been out to Wadhams in awhile but realized how much I miss this bakery's great bread and cookies and pizza and bagels...........

My wife and I always look forward to Friday night pizza to finish off a week of work. The bread is always fresh, wholesome and wonderful. It feels good to buy form a local company that makes great food and provides a hot spot in a unique small town community.

Definitely the best pizza in northern NY. Hand made. Good ingredients. Worth the drive and wait. Call early, get 2 pizzas. They aren't that big but damn tasty

Great place for a sandwich or pizza. Good for takeout if you're going for a hike and want a picnic. Fantastic bread. I'm a big fan of their rye.

Delicious artesian and baked goods. Fresh roasted coffee as well as their own grinola. We love the 7 grain breadas well as and cheese bagels.

Food was fresh and delicious. Service with a smile from all the girls. Btw, the breads and scones are soooo good!!! We will definitely return next time we are in the states. Thank you.

Loved this place! Bicycled from Essex. Warm and inviting, with friendly owners and clientele. Cinnamon buns and chai latte were local favorites and delicious. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic gem in the middle of the country. The owners have poured their hearts and souls into the place and you can tell. The food is fresh and delicious and the whole place has a great energy. Get your friends and go!

The home made scones were absolutely 😋 😋 😋 😋 yummy. And the coffee was just right. The shop has a lot of seating for the lunch crowd. And service was great.

If you leave without a loaf of their homemade bread (Jalepeno Cheddar) or cookies (chocolate & their chocolate/ chocolate), well then good for you but, they are worth every bit of guilt😀

Online pick up and ordering was a snap and they even saved me a trip to beer store. The Farmers daughter was great and their pepperoni and peppers was a hit with my kids.

Found out about this delightful bakery in the reviews for an Airbnb I did not end up renting for a family vacation. Saved the information for Friday night pizzas because it sounded so amazing. Woke up at 730am just to get our order in, and it was 100% worth it! The phone lines were busy for about ten minutes before I could get through! Ordered 4 pizzas for one of only two time slots they had left available, they sell out so quickly! The woman who took my order was super friendly and helpful, as were the two women I encountered picking up the order. The business was very clean and welcoming. Absolutely the best pizzas I have ever eaten in my life! The Vegomatic I believe was my favorite with the balsamic reduction, others in my group swore the sausage was otherworldly. The crust was perfection, the toppings were plentiful and fresh, the cheese was delicious. They have the option for dining in, but it's a pretty small place and we were a group of 8. The twenty minute drive back with the delicious smell of these pizzas was absolute torture! I also snagged 2 loaves of Cinnamon walnut coffee cake, which were divine. Dogwood Bread Company knows what they are doing! If you're in the area and able, it is so worth the effort. I might just vacation in the same spot next year just to get the pizza again. I would award 10 stars if I could.

We've found the best time is an hour before sunset and to sit outside in the space between the bakery and the owner's home because the light is nice in that nook. The inside seating is also nice - authentic and comfortable. We've enjoyed all of the pizzas especially ones with balsamic reductions or fresh veggies. The salads are also excellent. If you're looking for excellent pizza in an authentic setting in a tiny north country town and you have time to relax and chat with friends, add Dogwood to your itinerary (Wednesday and Friday evenings in the summer) and enjoy!

We had two garlic bagel egg and cheddar sandwiches, one with ham. Unbelievably good, egg larger than the bagel gave the best ratio and the cheese is top notch. The maple ham was stunning, I wish I had got it. If your in Burlington, take the ferry over and get some!

Great food, they need to possible hire more staff, given their seasonal hours. This place is cranking all day!

There are so many highlights of this bakery! First, their sourdough bread was really delicious with a nice and tender crumb and pleasant crust. I didn't like the multigrain as much because it had a more sourdough-like taste that I wasn't used to in most multigrains. I also was able to try the scones, with the almond/cranberry scone being delicious and buttery without any interior dryness and the blueberry scone a little more bland in flavor and somewhat more moist than my liking. Another great aspect is that the cashier was really very kind and helpful, allowing me to sample the multigrain before buying. I also really enjoyed the small grocery section that came in handy because I was really starving and appreciated some cheese to accompany my bread. It ended up being frozen chevre and I had to wait for it to thaw... bummer. That said, I liked almost everything and I appreciate the bakery's contribution to the neighborhood (WiFi!!!) but I wasn't blown away to give 5 stars. I also wasn't really accustomed to the prices, which were higher than I expected -- we paid almost $20 for a loaf of bread, a small cheese ($6+), 2 scones, and a small coffee. Maybe it's because I'm from an area a lot further south.

I really like the tomato tart they make. My family likes the cinnamon bread when it's available. We all just wish we could figure out when they're open. It seems inconsistent, almost as if by whim. If it's open when we're passing, then we try to stop in. But we haven't been able to plan a visit.

Waited in line for 20 minutes at 10:30am on a Thursday morning (2 people ahead of us) with no staff even acknowledging us to then be told the coffee is self-serve. The bagels were awful.
