This place is SO cool even after COVID restrictions. My husband and I are new to Wilmington and went inside to check it out and we will definitely be back! The beer was great, there was such a large and diverse selection, and the atmosphere was so unique and cool. The bartender that helped us, moved to this area about 2.5 months ago and was giving us awesome recommendations to try around Wilmington. We really had a good time and can’t wait to visit again 🙃
Trivia night is always fun and the atmosphere is great here- both weekends and weeknights. Rarely skip Pour on a night out! Love the selection of ciders and sours, plus the ability to get a drink upstairs or downstairs. Fair prices and lots of space for bigger groups!
This is such a relaxing and fun atmosphere. The different IPA's and Ales and hard ciders offered are amazing. You lounge and be social. Or play many different board games etc. With friends. Great music and vibe. Definitely a go to spot.
OMG! By far the best bar I've ever been to. We went last night and I tried a beer that tasted like blackcherry with a twist of lime. The power went out in the whole downtown which was a bummer cause it was only 1030pm. Were heading back there 2nite. Love the concept, you serve yourself. Plus they have a wine room for those that don't drink beer.
This is a great place to go to try a variety of beer and wine selections. The upstairs seating arrangement is comfortable with couches and tables where you can actually converse with others without screaming over loud music. The downstairs is open and roomy if you prefer standing to listen to live music. It's a unique place for couples or groups!
OMGosh what a fantastic visit. I loved the concept and the selections are glorious. Very classy way of service with key fobs to return when you leave. The inside was modern, classy, and rustic given the history of the building. The setting I perceived it literally to be perfect for anybody. The prices could come down some but the experience fairly makes up for it.
This was such a pleasant surprise to walk into. Not only is it a great atmosphere but the beer was wonderful, it’s a beautiful place, all of the staff was extremely informative and friendly. If you’re looking for a fun place to kick back with friends but also expreice some wonderful beers I fully recommend the Pour Taproom. A wonderful addition to downtown Wilmington. I have recommended it to my friends and will be back often!!!
What a great concept of RFID enabled wristbands. You can pour your own beer or wine from the taps around this place on 2 levels. They even have a nice game room upstairs. Went back the 2nd time to this place. Definitely recommend for a great time with friends and family
Very cool concept! Must see bar. Pour your own drinks!
Great experience. Unique setup with self-serving, but plenty of employees around to address any questions. Also, good food, and good service as well. Excellent drink selections in a fun environment. A great experience for a beer lover who likes to sample many beers, including locals.
This establishment is absolutely fantastic! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it by happenstance. Being from Rhode Island and Massachusetts, we love ourselves a good beer! Charles ran the taproom by himself and was able to exceptionally manage 10 different parties by himself. He was hospitable, kind and overwhelmingly helpful! The 40+ beers and wines the customer is able to pour by themselves with specific instruction is the best part of this haven. Following COVID protocol and sanitation standards exceptionally, we will definitely be returning to this place for more phenomenal service and more delectable beer!!!!
Great atmosphere, never got super crowded on a Saturday night! Pay by the ounce, so you can try as many beers and wine as you want. Great selection and variety, including local brews upstairs. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Only negative is the food prices, a little high. But I enjoyed the pretzles with cheese. Eat before you go to save some money.
I love this concept on trying what you want and when you want it! The idea of sampling a little bit of each beer throughout the restaurant is fantastic and once I found what I liked I was able to pour larger glasses. I went as part of PCYP networking event and will definitely be back for smaller groups or date night!
Great beer drinking options with wristband dongel, pay by ounce, great beer selection. Food is great. They had just opened and not up to when I was there. When they hit their stride this will be one great spot to drink and eat. Community seating is cool, great way to get feedback on beer, wine and food.
We stopped in here twice while visiting the area. We enjoyed the selection of beers went upstairs and people watched the street below. Was quiet both times. Game rooms looked fun as well. Would be nice for a big get together.
This is a real gem in the Wilmington bar scene. Not only do they have a great selection of beer (including ciders and wine) but you can fill the amount you want. It has 2 floors and the second floor is so awesome (it has a pool table and dart boards in one area too). Plenty of TV's...really nothing not to love.
This was one of the first places we checked out on our first trip to wilmington last June when we arrived late Friday evening and we fell in love! Love the concept, the atmosphere everything but the staff is what made us come back, we didn't catch their names on the trip but we ended up coming back down 3 more times last year and got acquainted with the night staff lucas and Avery, both were great and welcoming and made us feel welcomed! We've made trips down now primarily to go here and see our now friends! ( and of course the local cuisine ) we hope to see them on our continued trips and to see the place grow!
I’ve been here a couple of times, and it’s been great! Awesome beer, cider, and wine choices, and good food too! I love the atmosphere and games they have! My most recent visit there was some children disrupting, and I really appreciated the staff handling that situation with grace to ensure everyone was enjoying their time there! I’ll definitely be back!
Went here for the first time today for lunch. First, the staff was awesome! I’d like to thank Julia for helping us as we were rookies. She was extremely helpful and checked on us often. The concept is great and just works! We had lunch which was also great. The beer concept and food were great, but it’s staff members like Julia and the rest of the team that will keep us coming back. Great experience!
If you want to try a lot of beers, this is the place to do it. I had so much fun getting to try so many different beers and cigars, and it was reasonably priced to do so. The staff were so helpful at explaining how the process of self pour worked and all the facility had to offer. They always seemed to be working-getting guests, taking used glasses and restocking clean ones, sweeping the floors, checking on guests, etc. I loved that there was a game room (pool table, connect 4, foosball, mini shuffleboard, etc) upstairs that was reserved for adults only, something much needed in Wilmington. They also had some board games downstairs. This would also be a good place to watch your sport of choice - there were a good number of TVs, including a couple of projectors upstairs. All in all, I will absolutely be back and had such a blast here. Highly recommend!
This place is awesome! My husband and I stumbled upon this gem while in town for a wedding one weekend. He’s a huge beer fan and this place was a gold mine. Super friendly staff, decent food (more than just brewery snacks) and the largest number of cider options I’ve ever seen! And don’t worry wine lovers - they have a whole room full of wines on tap as well. Very unique concept and great way to test out a bunch of drinks. Would 100% recommend 👍🏼
Loved this place! There is a massive selection of beer on draft, as well as a few wines, plus a full cocktail bar- something for everyone! I love the pour-your-own drink concept (beer and wine only). I like to taste a little bit of everything, so this is perfect for me. They also have a pool table, darts and some board games upstairs if you're looking for an activity while you drink.
This place is awesome! I was visiting from out of state and I have never been to a bar that let you pour your own drinks, so this was a thrill. As a first time visitor, I was so pleased to be warmly greeted by a staff member that walked me through the entire process and was so friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to visit again!
I have to say the location is a great fit for something a little extra and this place delivered. The outside seating was delightful, live music. I ordered the Mussel appetizer as my entree and a Caesar salad. The fried anchovies on the Caesar were unexpected and delicious. The Mussels were steamed just right, wine sauce was light and enough baguette to sop up the juice. Chase was our server, on point during the rush. Not too much attention, not too little. She made our experience quite enjoyable. Made a good recommendation for wine. Cut & Pour is a great neighborhood restaurant. Friendly vibe and inviting.
Where to begin? My family loved this place. The beer selection is over the top. The service was great. They showed us how the machines work so we could get our own beer. The environment was awsome! The wine selection is in an old bank vault. The food was good. Most items were under 10$ I ordered the nachos and could not even finish them they were so huge. We will defiantly make this a regular stop when were in Wilmington.
My fiancé and I love this place we stop in every time we come to Wilmington. Great beer/wine . Great service truly wish I could give this place 1000 stars we recently came here with our kids and my 4 y/o son had left his tablet we live 3 1/2 hours away and were 2 hours in before realizing so we called and asked if they’d mail it I offered to pay and everything. The manager ended up taking time out of his day and paid for the shipping and all to mailing it to us. Can’t wait to come back next time.
Didn’t realize this was a chain. I got the wristband for 32 oz of beer and a club sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and all the beers were super fresh. What a great concept! Great decor and plenty of wide screens for viewing. I tried seven different brews from light to dark. Forty two choices!
Pour Taproom has been one of our favorite places downtown since it opened! Before you even step inside, you're greeted by the awesome architecture of (what I believe is) an old bank that Pour now resides in. The atmosphere inside is relaxed, with lots of breathable open-concept structure. The staff is always courteous, and if it's your first visit, they'll show you around the place and how to navigate through the self-pour experience. As a former bartender, I love the concept of the walk-up taps and I think Pour has executed it perfectly! The food is always enjoyable (and modestly priced), and the beer & wine selection NEVER disappoints. I'm a fan of seeing what new local stuff is on tap myself, but there are always plenty of options to choose from. This is a top spot on our list to recommend to any family or friends coming to visit, and definitely a regular spot for us. Great job Pour, keep up the excellent work!
What a great concept! We received a wristlet which activates beer and wine taps so one can serve themselves. Great varieties! The atmosphere was relaxed with a game room, couches. And table tip games. A wide range of pub food is available for lunch and dinner. We were very pleased to stumble upon this adventure in downtown Wilmington!
One of my favorite places. Great place to sample beers, ciders, sours, and wines. The prices for beer are about 50-60 cents an ounces. It’s great to try lots of drinks but a little pricey for a full sized beer. The taps rotate so it’s not the same each time. Local beers upstairs! Trivia on Tuesday’s and music bingo on Wednesday’s!
Pour is a fantastic chain that let's you try as much or as little of beer, sours, ciders, and wine. Simply tie your credit card to your wrist FOB, then touch the tap you want and pour away! They have over 40 taps, great seating, tons of TVs, table games, and some pretty good grub. The Wilmington Pour is two floors, and is one of the nicest one's that I've been in. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Multiple taps are available serving wine, cider and beer. The establishment is a great place to bring friends and family for a gathering, allowing patrons to enjoy conversation and drinks.
This was my first time at a bar that you pay by the ounce. Admittedly, I thought it was a little strange at first but quickly realized how great it is. You can sample everything and find a beer you really like. No lines and no waiting for a bartender! This place is a great time and the food was decent.
Very nice place, Bud guy came & saw no King of Beers. You guys have a wonderful place & your wine room was perfect!! Very friendly staff, she was very helpful from the moment we walked in. Found my new vacation spot. Well done folks !
Tons of cold beers to choose from, friendly staff, fun games, and a cool atmosphere...what's not to love! Location is super accessible to the rest of downtown so it makes a great first stop to meet up with your people on a great night out. Also a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat and catch up with friends. The owner and all of his staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely not a spot to skip when you're in town!
If you appreciate good craft beers, this is the place. A self-serve tap house with 70 beers on tap and charged by the ounce. Also, self serve wine and a full bar for hard alcohol. Two floors, abundant seating for small and large groups, TV's for watching sports and a game room with pool tables. They host events. A great place to learn what style of beer suits your taste.
SUPER sweet & attentive staff! They explained how things work there and were always running around making sure we had what we needed (clearing empty glasses and restocking). We loved that they are dog friendly indoors! Lots of comfortable places to sit and endless options of a variety of beers, wines & cider. It was convenient being able to pour your own drinks when you wanted and as much as you wanted! They had everything well labeled & organized. We were told this was an old bank and the vault is the room used for the wines (see video). Food was temporarily unavailable, but there were plenty of restaurants with takeout within walking distance. We had no trouble finding paid parking on the street, although we went in the afternoon on Friday so it may be more difficult later in the evening. This place is massive. The upstairs even has a game room & additional taps as well as large windows spending across the entire wall with beautiful city views. This is a great place with a chill vibe to try a lot of local beers if you are short on time visiting Wilmington! :)
What a fun find. You buy a ticket, then get to self serve your beer, wine, and sparkling wine by the ounce with hundreds of choices from around the country. Never seen anything like it. You simply settle up at the by how many ounces you consumed. Great way to discover new craft beverages.
We decided to come here especially when I found out that they had a certain beer on tap. I love the idea and atmosphere of these pour yourself places. Give a card, get a wristband, and pour yourself. A little or a lot. Sample by the ounce of the glass. However as soon as I tried to "Pour" myself the beer I came for, it taped. I went to the front and luckily they canceled out what I had Poured, because it was all foam. To my surprise however they replaced it with a completely different beer. I enjoyed that Halloween 🎃 decorations were already up. There are games upstairs (darts, shuffleboard, pool etc) and plenty of seats throughout. Sitting on the second floor felt rewarding and the staff was great. The interior has been preserved and modernized which was a treat to see the illuminations of the fan on the beautiful ceiling.
Fun place to hang, drink, and socialize! Plenty of choices to choose from. All sorts of beers and wine on tap. Plus there a retail any lines since it's self pour! No more waiting to be served as you can just go up your self!! They also have a bunch of board games to grab and play with friends. Over all great place to visit!
Pretty cool place! Great concept! You receive a wristband that controls how many ounces you can pour yourself. Everything is in tap. Beer AND wine! Nice to be able to take a tiny taste of a beer or wine. If you like it...pour more!! We also went upstairs in the game room..darts...pool..shuffleboard!
Came here for the first time. I was thoroughly impressed with their selections of beers on tap. They also offer wine but I’m not much of a wine drinker. The wrist bands are a fun & cool concept which makes self serve quite the experience. Each tap has all of the beer information you need to know even the price per ounce on LED Screens above each tap. It has a modern/industrial feel to it which adds to the experience. The food menu offers a lot of options. I’ll have to come back to try the food next time! I would highly recommend this place for small and large groups alike. Can’t wait to return!
Cool concept. Lots of beers and wines to try. Pay by the ounce. The nachos and flat bread was really good. It’s not a cheap experience but definitely worth trying. The staff is very helpful and friendly in explaining how to go about trying everything. We tried Many beers that we normally wouldn’t have. The seating and overall atmosphere is good. We’ll be back again when we visit Wilmington.
This is the coolest place I’ve been out drinking. You sign in at the front desk then they give you a band with a chip in it linked to your order. The band you then scan at any one of the beer taps or WINE on tap and it charges it to your card. It can get pretty pricy but allows you to pour your own drink and try as many as you’d like. The food is pretty good too! Highly recommend!
A completely next level beer experience. Never seen anything like it! You link your card to an RFID tag and self pour as many beers as you want and much as you want and charges by the ounce. Perfect if you want to taste a ton of great beers. Really chill atmosphere and overall a great experience. A true five star establishment.
A very interesting concept in a great setting in historic downtown Wilmington NC. They offer a great selection of beer - pour as much (with in reason) or as little as you want. A great way to sample new beers. At 0.50 to 0.65 average price per ounce cost on their beer pours, it seems a bit pricey if you know what you want and just want a couple of pints, but I don't think that's the experience they are going for. A good experience (be sure to check out the great views on the second floor). They also offer a nice selection of pub food done very nicely at great prices.
The concept was awesome, cool industrial atmosphere and modern concept on payment and selections with the wristband. I even enjoyed the food. Only knock was the bartender wasn't friendly or helpful in explaining the drink specials. Place was not busy and it felt like an inconvenience to serve us drinks. However he did make good drinks.
I really like this place. I always have the flat bread pizza, so I can't judge the rest of the menu, it's tasty bar food pizza, and the beer selection has always been sufficient for me. I truly hope this place stays around for a while. It's spacious, not too loud, staff is always courteous. My one criticism is about the owner's responses to negative reviews- dude, ya gotta let people be what they are and trust your business will ride above their petty pissyness. Responding in kind makes the negative vibes last longer. Let the few people vent, and thank them for the time they invested in your establishment and let it go. I'm worried this might be bad for business, and I really like this place.
This place is awesome! I love the concept of it, and it looks beautiful in the building it’s in. The staff is helpful. I love the games and live music. The variety of beer and wine is plentiful. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Food is alright, but it’s great that this place has an option for munchies!
Unique place where you can self serve tons of beer. Did not eat here, although the food looked good. Affordable and fun. Could use a few more pinball/arcade games upstairs. Definitely has room up there.
We had a small family gathering upstairs which provided plenty of room for our group. The only problem we had was to have to go downstairs for the wine pour’s but otherwise it’s a great venue. We did not try the food so I couldn’t give a ranking on the food and service.
Good selection of beers. A bit pricey, but you don't have to get a full beer every time, so you can try more varieties. It is self service after you get your wristband.
Pay by the ounce and be your own bartender. The place brings a wide selection of draft beers (sour, Belgian, light, IPA and dark) as well as a very limited selection (about six) wines. The main station is downstairs and another with local NC beers is located on the upper deck of the taproom. Overall pretty reasonable pricing and gives you the ability to taste many different beers before deciding where you want to invest. The wine selection is just there so that your non-beer drinking friends will come along with you so don't get excited about them at all. The Pinot Noir was more like a Zin and thankfully I didn't have to pay for a whole glass. Some really great dark beers - primarily stouts and only one porter at that time. Food was bar like and not the focus of the place but still good and not overpriced for what you get. The play the typical bar trivia games so you Game of Thrones fans will like it. When you hit 32 oz on your account you have to get a sobriety clear before proceeding with more drinks. Didn't get there so not sure if this is to make sure you pay off your account before proceeding also. It's a fun place and would go again but understand no one will have my favorite drink ready for me when I come through the door.
Had a wonderful time hanging out at the new Pour Taproom. We were waiting for it to open, and we weren't disappointed! Food was good. Not a huge menu, but enough choices. After going to a similar taproom in Raleigh, we were happy to have something similar nearby. I love that you can try a sampling of many different types of beer, and then decide what you like best and get a bigger pour. We'll be heading back soon!
Amazing concept for the beer lovers like myself. The atmosphere is nice when there is local talent performing which tend to draw more people inside, but still a bit empty for a social outing. The prices are really really high so if you're not careful it can cost you a small fortune for a couple glasses of beer.
Great place to go if you want to listen to loud hip hop. If you do not get into hip hop music, it may not be the ideal place. Did you seem to rotate music but hip hop is very annoying with the auto tuning fake symbols. Cool idea with wristbands and beer tap control. Orderes the tacos, floor tortillas were dried and crispy in some areas and ground beef obviously been in a warmer for a long time and very dry and crispy. Good flavor, texture wasn't great.
It was a fun and new atmosphere to try! The idea is great, and its a nice hang out if theres not too many people. However, the cost of the drinks sneaks up on you- quickly. I had two drinks of wine and paid 30$. If you have deeper pockets that are just itching to be burned, go here. Otherwise, only go here to hang out while others spend their money.
Tried a couple of the IPAS and I think something is wrong with the tap due to one of them being so dark and bitter right out the tap. The atmosphere is great really cool place to just hang out. Beer could be better.
First and foremost I'd like to say that the selection of on tap beers and wines is impressive. However I have to go in to the negatives of my experience with my husband. When we first walked in we weren't sure how the whole pour your own worked so we opted to sit at the "full service bar" . The girl at the front was very short with us and informed me that we needed a wrist band no matter what. I was surprised that she had such a demeanor from the get go. Second... we sat at the bar and there was no bartender for longer than a few minutes. When he showed up he was polite but when I ordered an old fashioned he looked perplexed and asked me what kind of liquor I wanted !! Even though it's a drink on their signature menu. He followed instructions in front of him out of a book and honestly it tasted poor. My husband ordered a long island which the bartender also had to follow out of the book and contemplated using Malibu rum!!! In a long island ??? So anyhow he doused it in sweet and sour and unfortunately this drink was not great either. We sat for 10 minutes before being asked if we needed another drink ( we had to get his attention ) while he only had us and 2 others at the bar whilst playing on his phone. Sorry but I would not reccomend this place even if you did the pour your own option with the poor customer service. Your bartender should at least know how to make a $14 drink that is on the drink menu.
I enjoy this place but today sucked. My grandparents were visiting out of town and brought them here. The gentleman with the long hair, beard glasses and earrings. Just super RUDE. I understand you are by yourself...then bring another employee in to help you. An you telling my grandfather that he wont be able to pour beer because you are speaking like a Jack rabbit was disrespectful. Then you threw are food on the table without saying anything. Then you rudely yelled at a lady across the Establishment about wine. Unprofessional. I will return back to Pour Taperoom but if I walk in and see this gentleman working I will leave because it was completely uncalled for today. Props to the New Menu that was a big Improvement as Well.
I like this concept. You pour the beer you want out of numerous choices. I have been to similar concept tap rooms. However, all the beers I wanted were out and when I went to pour them they were ghost pours. I had to go back to the counter to get a credit. Then I poured two different beers that also immediately stopped pouring. Then the 3 oz pour said that I was over the 32oz limit. In frustration I left with $8 tab for micro pours. Disappointed. Suggest that someone be on refilling the taps.
Great idea using a wrist band to track ounces. Unfortunately the beer was warm and flat, the servers were more interested in themselves than us as customers, creating a hollow, cold atmosphere. Pour Taproom has a "try hard", "too cool"vibe that just isn't working. As soon as we sat down we wanted to leave. "Serving" is not what happens here, even though you may see people with food, good luck getting someone to serve your table. Don't waste your time and money. Head down the street where there are many more places to have a beer in Wilmington... the beer is cold and the vibe is warm, just past Pour Taproom. We regret starting our night here, it was a throw off.
