Quick, attentive and friendly service. We enjoyed blueberry pancakes, crispy bacon and smothered biscuits and gravy added cheese. Everything was very fresh and delicious!! Love that the blueberries are in the pancakes, very fluffy and simply delicious!

We would be regulars if we lived here! Never heard of chicken n waffles with sweet potato fries, it sounded weird but tasted great!Everything was fresh, not frozen! Do not miss the biscuits.

Best chicken fried steak, ever. We spent the weekend in Wimberly with a group of friends and on the last day we ate here for breakfast. The food was amazing. Literally, best chicken fried steak. We also had the Migas, which was great bc you can order just a half order and it was just enough for one person. Two of our friends got the chicken and waffles and they were very impressed. Our waitress was also so good! High recommend.

We had breakfast here on a Sunday after our 3 day weekend in Wimberly. We had a party of 12, and knew that would mean a wait. We were seated after 30 minutes. Our waitress was great, she had waters ready and was a great waitress. Everyone loved their meal! I had chicken and waffles and it was pretty dang good with some syrup and Cholula hot sauce. Would definitely eat her again if I went back to Wimberly, maybe try their lunch menu since we have done their breakfast!

Wimberley Café is a delightful spot that embodies the charm of Southern hospitality and comfort food. Known for its warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly service, it’s a favorite among locals and it became a favorite for us! One of the standout dishes is their Chicken Fried Chicken Dinner. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, served hot and fresh. Paired with classic sides like mashed potatoes and green beans, it’s a hearty meal that satisfies. I recommend sharing it! The staff at Wimberley Café are attentive and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. We’ll def be back next time we are in Wimberley!

We’re visiting and this restaurant was recommended by the locals. They said the wait is about 40 minutes, took our name and number, and said they will page us when our table is ready. It actually took about 10 minutes. We sat outside on their patio and ordered balsamic pecan brussel sprouts, chicken fried steak, chopped steak, and combo catfish and shrimp platter. The brussel sprouts and chopped steak were delicious! The catfish could have been bigger. The chicken fried steak was okay. Our waitress, Jessica, was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this place.

Did you really visit Wimberley if you didn't stop in at the Wimberley Cafe? It was our first time in Wimberley, and we checked this place out for dinner. We ordered the Deep Fried Pickles, Chicken Fried Steak, and Waffles with blueberries. I've definitely had better chicken fried steak, but it was overall it was good. Our server asked if we wanted anything with our waffles, and we ordered the blueberries. We were a little bummed that the blueberries came on top instead of cooked inside the waffles. The service was friendly and quick. I think we were in and out within 30 minutes. We would've been fine if it took longer because it was our first dinner in town. Located in the heart of Wimberley Square, this place is a must!

This cafe has such a classic, nostalgic, small-town charm! My family and I ate here, and we loved everything we ordered. Our server was courteous and very knowledgeable on the menu items! The standout menu-item was definitely the homemade potato chips. They were like mini crispy waffle fries, and they were absolutely amazing. I’ve never had anything like them before, and I probably never will until I visit this spot again one day.

Stopped in for lunch. Check-in process was long and being seated after receiving the text our table was ready was even longer (not the wait, just the process). But, after being seated, the service was impeccable. The menu was great and I had to try their award winning chicken fried steak, it did not disappoint. We also had the chicken salad and chicken and waffles. The salad was fresh and the dressing is amazing. The chicken and waffles were delicious, the chicken was hot and crispy while the waffles were light and fluffy with the perfect sweetness.

The service was A1 and ambiance was cozy and warm, very inviting. Food was great, highly recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere to eat in Wimberley.

This place has overall great food BUT very busy! And very crowded , parking is difficult to find it is in the busiest part of downtown wimberley. Its a very popular restaurant. That being said I personally would probably not stop in again It was to busy and loud for me . But they do have a great menu and my chicken fried chicken was excellent!

It’s a cool place, but the bun on my sandwich was soaked and the tables were sticky. I think y’all should put clear plastic over the picnic tables outside so you can wipe them down after each person.

We started our day early by visiting the town square and having breakfast at Wimberley Cafe, and it delivered exactly what you’d expect from a classic small-town diner. I ordered the Tuesday special—pancakes with two eggs over easy and a side of sourdough toast. My wife chose the biscuits and gravy. One of my egg yolks arrived already broken, which wasn’t ideal, but not a deal breaker. The toast arrived without butter, and with pancakes this large, I had to open several pats of butter to cover everything—but those are minor details. The pancakes were the highlight: fluffy, flavorful, and generously sized. A big plus for serving them with warmed maple syrup. My wife wasn’t as happy with her biscuits and gravy and wished she had ordered something with more protein. I sampled them myself—while the biscuits weren’t for me, the gravy was quite good with a subtle hint of heat. Service was okay but not especially warm. I understand it was early in the morning, but friendliness does matter. Still, the experience was overall positive. The cafe was nicely decorated for Christmas and had a cozy, nostalgic diner feel. If we’re back in Wimberley and looking for breakfast, this is a place we’d consider again.
